Drag and Drop In 2 ALV Grids
I have a report which has 2 ALV grids side by side. I am able to drag a cell from the left grid and drop it in the right grid. But I also want to drag a cell from the right grid to another cell in the right grid. I can't seem to make this work. Does anyone have any suggestions here?
Thanks,
Jack
Hi Jack,
Did you define the drag-and-drop behaviour correctly for both grids? Perhaps you can copy the piece of coding where you define the D&D behaviour, so we can have a look at it.
Kind regards,
John.

MULTIPLE-ROW drag and drop between 2 ALV grids
Hi,
Can anybody help me with acheiving MULTIPLE-ROW drag and drop functionality between 2 ALV grids.hi Prakash,
Actually I'm trying to develop multiple drag and drop between 2 ALV's. To understand the events properly, I started working on this sample program where it uses 1 ALV and splits it into 2 and uses single row drag and drop between them. Now I'm making it to work for multiple drag and drop, so that I can use it on my application. This is the code which I'm working on..

Drag and Drop between two ALV Tree.
Hi,
I am trying the drag and drop event between two ALV Tree.
After the occurence of drag and drop event , I am able to get the node key of the source tree node which is dragged . But when the node is dropped onto the target ALV Tree the target node does not gets selected, instead a plus mark appears focussing on the target node in the target ALV Tree. Can anyone suggest a way to get the node key of the focussed target node. Thanks.

Drag and Drop between two ALV Tree Controls
Hello all,
I have designed a spilt control of two ALV Trees using CL_GUI_ALV_TREE.
I have a top node as the Sales order Number and the child node as the items belonging to that sales order number.
Now i need to drag and drop the lines from one sales order to another.
Also these drag drop can take place between the nodes of the two different trees.
Can someone provide with a detail example as i need to complete the same urgently.
Regards,

Hi All,
I have a small requirement, I have to implement drag and drop functionality in ALV ( simple trees ) in such a way that the entire contents ( Folders and its sub folders ) have to be copied. As of now i am able to drag and drop
one at a time, ie drag and drop folder and then again drag and drop its sub folder. Any solution to drag and drop both folder and its sub-folders in one step.
example program -> rsdemo_drag_drop_tree_multi which allows drag and drop of folders one at a time.
Thanks and Regards,
Kiran.Hi ,
just type BCALV_DND_* in se38 editor and press f4 you will get log of examples for drag n drop funtionality.

Cannot move photos via drag and drop (library grid view)
I've seen several adobe tutorials and youtube videos that show moving photos or folders by drag and drop in the library grid view. I cannot get it to work.
Steps:
1. Mousedown on a photo (not the frame) in the grid
2. Drag the mouse to a folder in the "Folder" pane (left of the grid)
3. Mouseup on the destination folder
Results:
Nothing happens. The mouse cursor doesn't change from the arrow. There is no indication I can drag and drop. The photos are not moved.
The photos are stored on a NAS. Of course I can move them around via Windows Explorer, but I want to do this from inside LR4 for obvious reasons. From LR4, I can create new folders, but I still cannot move photos into those folders. I also tried creating a new folder on a local drive. Again, I was able to create the folders, but was not able to move any photos into the folder.
What else can I do to toubleshoot this issue?I created a new catalog. Imported a folder on my C drive, created a subfolder, and successfully moved photos into the subfolder.
I tried the same steps in my original catalog and now I can move all photos (including those on my NAS). I've been at this for 3 hours. I have no clue why it is working now, but I guess I'm happy. Now, it shows the stack of photos when I try to drag and drop.
I even reverted to my original preferences file (that I backed up before deleting) and I'm still able to move the files. Really strange. -
Drag and drop between two object oriented grid ALV
Hello,
I am using two alv to display two different reports in the same screen. I need to drag and drop a field from one ALV to another in order to do some processing.
Thanks in advance for your helpjust define the cl_dragdrop objects as attributes for both grid controls, a container for the data to be dragged and the handlers for ongetflavor and ondrag event. set the flavor_select, drag, drop, drop_complete handlers.

Drag and drop ALV to table control
Hi all,
Does anyone know if it is possible to program the drag-and-drop functionality from an ALV list to a table control? I would like to have this feature to let the user enter data on 1 screen. On the left part the user sees an ALV list and on the right the user sees the online transaction. I would like the user to enter data simply by drag and drop instead of having to enter the data.
Does someone has a sample program for this?
Regards,
KrisHi Kris
I can download the programs and send them to you, but you should give me your e-mail.
Anyway you can use Drag and Drop if you build your table control by ALV, i.e. ALV GRID.
But I'm using 4.7 and I don't know how class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID is in your release, I believe the release 4.6B is one of first release whit this class.

Drag and Drop in Web dynpro ALV
I have a requirement in wda where I am supposed to select few records from source table and drop it in target table. The dropped records should be inserted at the right index /destination, dropped at. I see SAP examples but they are all associated with tables and none of them are ALV grids.
Could anyone of you please share steps or code to achieve drap and drop in SALV_WD_TABLE.Hi Kiran,
I am in 703 so drag and drop should work good .
I am required to drag and drop records from ALV1(bottom) to ALV2(top) (and not table UI). I could create drag source but somehow the whole piece is not working .
Drop target field is dynamic. Wherever the user drops, the data in ALV2 should be inserted/updated exactly at that spot/cell . Here, I am not sure how to fill target row/field details runtime.
Just to simplify, I am doing 1 column move. Hard coded the target field ‘AUFNR3’ but still than My “On drop event” is not triggering. I always see a prohibitory sign when trying to move the ghost image across areas as if the column is not defined as DropTarget.
My code looks something like this:
Drop from AUFNR of ALV2 to AUFNR3 of ALV1 :
In WDDOINIT:*...get alv models
lr_dd_alv1 ?= wd_this->r_model_calen.
lr_dd_alv2 ?= wd_this->r_model_operlist.
l_tags_alv2 = 'AUFNR'.* create or enable/disable alvs as drag source
IF NOT lr_dd_alv2->r_drag_source_info IS BOUND.
lr_dd_alv2->create_drag_source_info(
EXPORTING
data = 'ALV2'
tags = l_tags_alv2 "'alv2'
enabled = abap_true ).
ELSE.
lr_dd_alv2->r_drag_source_info->set_enabled( abap_true ).
ENDIF.
l_tags_alv1 = 'AUFNR3'.
lr_dd_alv1->set_drop_row_name_fieldname( 'AUFNR3' ).
lr_dd_alv1->set_drop_row_name( ' ' ).
lr_dd_alv1->create_drop_row_target_info(
EXPORTING
id = 'ALV1'
name = 'alv1'
tags = l_tags_alv1
enabled = abap_true ).
In drop event: I am trying to fetch the selected row and update the ALV2 accordingly
lr_element = lr_node->get_lead_selection( ).
IF lr_element IS BOUND.
lr_element->get_attribute(
EXPORTING
name = 'AUFNR'
IMPORTING
value = l_value ).
ENDIF.
lo_nd_nd_calendar = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_nd_calendar ).
lo_nd_nd_calendar->bind_table( new_items = lt_nd_calendar set_initial_elements = abap_true ).
ENDMETHOD.
Any help is greatly appreciated.. -
Drag and drop option in grid view
Hi,
I'm editing a large baptisim (750 photos) where I had another photographer. I nede the images in event order. On import, the photos are all over the place. I realise what I should have done, but now I'm here, I want to manualy drag and drop the photos in library-grid view. I'm dragging the photo and moving it, but it won't replace itself. What am I missing? Please help!But you can find two images from different cameras that appear to be shot at the same time or within a small interval. You can use their capture times to calculate the gap between the two camera's clocks.
Now separate your files by cameras using the Library Filter (or Metadata Browser on LR 1.x) and make global time corrections with the Edit Capture Time command.
Capture time shifts the date/time of each file in the selection by the same amount as you set for the 'most-selected' (or primary select) file.
In the end, yes, sort by capture time.
Export the whole shoot using a sequence in the file-name so they sort correctly on your customer's system. -
Drag and drop in tree and grid
Hi all, I have one question on dragging and dropping from grid to/from tree.
In a screen I have one tree and one grid. The following operations need to be performed on this screen.
1. Drag from grid and drop in tree.
2. Drag from tree and drop in grid.
3. Drag from tree and drop in tree itself.
Actually we will add the flavors for every action. Here I am confused in how many flavors I need to take.
What I am taking right now are:
For tree: 3 seperate flavors.
For Grid: 2 seperate flavors.
Can you please advise me on this.

Hi All,
I have the latest version configured. In the ALV, I have new feature to drag and drop the column
in the ALV table so that it's position can be changed.
Because of this my columns settings are getting disturbed.
How to disable this feature.
I have already coded as
lr_model->SET_COLUMN_SELECTION_ALLOWED( abap_false ).
lr_model->set_fixed_cols_left_allowed( abap_false ).
lr_model->set_fixed_cols_right_allowed( abap_false ).
Earliest replies are highly appreciated.
Thomas: Any way to do this.

Lekha.Hi Lekha,
Please refer to the link below. This link elaborates how to enable Drag and Drop functionality in tables. I hope reversing those settings and properties will disable drag n drop feature.

i want to create a grid where i can drag and drop items to it n save them, should i draw the grid myself and make a bunch of holders (as if i were making an inventory?) or is there a code i can use.
i am pretty good with as2 but i never took the time to really get into arrays. i come up with my own solutions, but i want to make this the right way.
for ex.sims build mode.
anyone interested in helping me out with my game also? Doesnt hurt to ask.that doesn't sound like drag and drop.
but if you want to attach something to a clicked cell, just do it. flash will know which cell was clicked the same way it knows which button in a list of several buttons were clicked:
for(var i:Number=0;i<colNum;i++){
for(var j:Number=0;j<rowNum;j++){
var mc:MovieClip=this.attachMovie("cell_mc","cell_"+j+"_"i,this.nextHighestDepth());
mc.colNum=j;
mc.rowNum=i;
mc._x=j*mc._width;
mc._y=i*mc._height;
mc.onRelease=function(){
//do whatever
