Drag and Drop in Procedure Builder :-(

Drag and Drop works in SQL Worksheet BUT it does not work in procedure builder :'-(
It would be nice to have same feature working everywhere. The work around is first drag and drop table in SQL Worksheet to get syntax and then cutting and pasting it in procedure builder.

Just fixed this as well as the drop will drop the code where it is dropped instead of at the end or where the caret was when the drag started. Look for it when the first patch comes out.

Hi JD,
Yes absolutely you can do that in APEX, however there is not really built-in support for it (although you can refactor the code used in the builder if you choose), but instead of doing that I would recommend using a 3rd party javascript library to make it much easier, two of the most commonly used for that type of drag-drop effect (generally speaking) are -
Yahoo UI Library - http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/dragdrop/
jQuery UI Library - http://ui.jquery.com/demos/draggable
I've used both and my preference is the jQuery library (for a few different reasons that I won't go into here), however if you follow their demos/guide you should be able to see just how easy it is to incorporate it into APEX (there is little APEX-specific coding you need to do really).

Drag and drop ALV to table control

Hi all,
Does anyone know if it is possible to program the drag-and-drop functionality from an ALV list to a table control? I would like to have this feature to let the user enter data on 1 screen. On the left part the user sees an ALV list and on the right the user sees the online transaction. I would like the user to enter data simply by drag and drop instead of having to enter the data.
Does someone has a sample program for this?

Anyway you can use Drag and Drop if you build your table control by ALV, i.e. ALV GRID.
But I'm using 4.7 and I don't know how class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID is in your release, I believe the release 4.6B is one of first release whit this class.

Drag and Drop Layout feature for regions

Wondering if there is a drag and drop layout feature for regions in 3.1.2 (or below that I might have missed) or if there are plans for it in future releases. I know that this feature is available for items in a region but interested for the many regions I have on a page. I think it would be a nice feature to have instead of having to go into a page template to get the layout I want.

I have a region on P0 (P0_REGION) and multiple page items (not on page 0) are associated to the region. When I go to "Drag and Drop" the page items I see all the Page Items for the given page and all the Page Items that are linked to a P0 Region. For Example:
P0:
Region: P0_REGION
P100:
Items: P100_X, Region: P0_REGION
P200:
Items: P200_Y, Region: P0_REGION
Now on P200, click on "Drag and Drop" above P200_Y I'll see P100_X and P200_Y.
This is a bit of an issue if you have a lot of items that are linked to a region on Page 0 but actually belong to another page.
Is this a bug?

Drag and drop does not work in Exported release build

I am using the built in DragManager class to handle some drag and drop functionality in an application. When running from flex builder, It runs exactly as expected, but when I export the project to a release build, Dragging only works in the vertical direction. How is this possible? What might be causing such strange behavior.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry, I will try to be more clear. I am using drag and drop simply to move items around on a Canvas. This works perfectly when running from flex builder, but when i export a release build it starts behaving strangely.
I can drag items up or down on the canvas no problem, but as soon as I try to drag items left or right, there is no response. On a windows machine, it gives me the black circle with a slash through it icon, implying that the drag is not accepted. On Mac, there is no icon, it simply will not drag.
Hope that clarifies it, I could really use some help figuring this issue out.
Update:
I can confirm that the call to DragManager.acceptDragDrop is being reached in both cases, but the DragEvent.DRAG_DROP event is not being handled in the release build, (it is reached when run from flex builder)

How can I build an animated drag and drop multimeter lead using Flash?

I am building a virtual multimeter for testing simulated circuits. I would like to be able to drag an animated multimeter test lead to a point in the circuit and drop it on a target. The static drag and drop is not my issue. I would like some suggestions on how I can animate the movement of the lead itself. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A drag and drop flowchart IS a tool, as in a complete program. Perhaps you can find an open source flowchart tool written in Java somewhere from which you can 'borrow' some internals, but I'd not get your hopes up. You are probably in for some programming to get something that matches your specific needs.
Another option is to turn it around - is it perhaps possible to build your own application on top of an existing platform, like Eclipse or Netbeans platform? Both of those have at least the frameworks/tools to make it easy to create a flowchart module, but you have a good chance that one exists already.

Cannot load ipage drag and drop site builder page

The only thing that loads is the header. ipage help thought it was a problem with adobe flash player. Plugins manager indicated I had Shockwave player, no Adobe Flash listed. Tried downloading Adobe Flash, appeared to download and install, but did not show up in plug in manager, even after rebooting. Uninstalled Shockwave, rebooted and downloaded Adobe Flash. Shockwave player showed up again in plug in manager, not Adobe Flash. Not sure if they are now one and the same. Checked permissions for the page and allowed everything, still no help. Tried clearing the cache and cookies, no change. The page is fully functional in Explorer. Could use some help, please. Running version 9.01. Thanks

Can't transfer playlists created in iTunes on my PC to my iPod 7th generation...what is the procedure to do this? I use to be able to drag and drop the playlists.

I Have updated iTunes on my PC and have recently purchased a new iPod. I can't get playlists that already existed in my iTunes transferred to my iPod. On the older versions I could drag and drop my playlists onto my iPod. Why can't I do this anymore? What are the steps to be able to do this.

Problem with Drag and drop manager

I am noticing that the sample provided at
http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=dragdrop_7.html is not working when tried on any version of FireFox browser on a Mac OS version 10.6.3.
So my understanding is that there seems to be some problem with the drag and drop manager in Flex when used on Firefox on a Mac OS version 10.6.3.
It will be very helpful if you can provide any work around for this issue. We want to implement the drag and drop feature in a website that we are building for one of our clients.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Drag and drop application does not work in Flash Builder 4.6.
However, the same source will work with Flash Builder 4.5.

1. Reinstalling the Windows 7 (32bit).
2. Install Flash Builder 4.5.
3. Flash Builder 4.5.1 updater and Flash Builder 4.6 does not install.
   (Instead of using Flex SDK 4.6 is set up)
In addition, Windows7 64bit environment does not work drag and drop.

Why can't I drag and drop music from a folder on my PC into my iTunes window?
I have not found any article that has answered this question. They have come up with things like open the side bar and it will work, or you are using wrong format of music. Now this all happened when I upgraded to iTunes 10 and has not worked since and it worked fine before. Music format is correct, I have even gone as far as copying a file already in iTunes and trying to add it again. As soon as the files enters the frame of iTunes the music files icon the pointer is carrying turns into a circle with a slash through it.

Files I have tried adding are standard MP3, 256 kbps purchased AAC Audio file, MP3 converted by iTunes into a 256 or 320 kbps AAC Audio file. None can be draged and droped but all can added by going to File/Add File to Library... or File/Add Folder to Library...

2. In iTunes, choose File > Add to Library, locate a file or folder, and click Open.
I can add files and folders by doing number 2 above but can not doing number 1
I have gone as far as uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling per apple procedures below.
Steps
1. Remove iTunes and its related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended effects.

I had this problem on Windows 8.1.1 and iTunes 11.2.2.3
To resolve it from within Itunes I did : Edit, Preferences, Sharing.
I took the tick out of "Share my library on my local network"
Click OK.
Closed iTunes/
Reopened iTunes and I can drag and drop.
I went back into Edit, Preferences, Sharing and put the tick back and clicked OK.
Works fine now.
