Drag & drop feature missing from konsole in kde 4.7

In kde 4.6 and previous release, konsole support drag & drop the selected string in konsole and do copy paste.
Since upgrade to kde 4.7, this feature gone. Any one know how to enable it or it's a bug?

Thanks for the tips. But I still don't like that way.
I will keep my archlinux froze at kde 4.6 tile I have time to change my habit.

Do you know if the drag&drop feature that I know from the Silverlight version of C4C (may release) is available in the HTML5 version.
It could be used for adding employees or products to objects like opportunities or leads. Right now it seems to be disabled in august release.

How can cocoa app get attachment in Drag & Drop email(s) from Mail?

HI all,
I would like to drag and drop one or more emails from Apple's Mail application to a cocoa application and have the cocoa application find the path to the attachments in those emails. If I drag & drop a message from Mail to Text Edit, it creates a link with the message subject. If I hold the pointer over the link in Text Edit, it shows the contents of the link, which has the form:
message:%[email protected]%3E
If I click that link, it opens a new Mail window with the message. None of that is the message number as shown in Mail's viewer window.
I've also looked at what Pasteboard Peeker shows given a Drag & Drop from Mail. The above link data is from the public.url pasteboard type. Some of the others look interesting, but Pasteboard Peeker truncates the data read from the pasteboard, and the pasteboard types are probably nothing that we "supposed" to have access to since they have names like "Someone's super-secret pasteboard type". Any other ideas?

That tip takes me further down the field. And, I am able to do stuff like indent and change font color of my comments which is very helpful.
However, the big disappointment is that by dragging the original message to the Draft mailbox and then back to the original one after the edits is that it removes the original sender's name and puts mine in along with changing the heading info on date and time. That is, it creates a new message, rather than allowing me to modify the original one to suit my needs.
All the same, this was a very helpful tip. Thanks again.

Refresh dragProxy in List component built-in drag & drop feature

Hi,
I'm using the built-in drag & drop feature of the List component. Everything works fine except one thing. The itemRenderer I use in my List contains many TextInput that the user can fill. The problem is when I drag an itemRenderer to reorder my list, the dragProxy of the itemRenderer doesn't show the text I enter in the TextInput; it shows the original state of my itemRenderer.
Is there any way to update the dragProxy to reflect the changes made in the itemRenderer ?

If editable=true, the user's changes should be saved to the dataprovider when the drag starts. The dragproxy renders whatever is in the dataprovider item

Cannot Drag & Drop Audio Files from iTunes into Project Timeline

Hello,
I have an iMovie (10.0.6) project open. I click the iTunes icon to fetch an audio track and it won't allow me to drag/drop it into the timeline. Yet it allows me to drag/drop other tracks from the same playlist (all from the same CD). All tracks are the same file type and about the same size/length, yet one of them (the one i want) cannot be dragged/dropped into the timeline. This happened with another iMovie project recently (different tracks from a different CD, but same idea: can't drag/drop one track, but i'm able to drag/drop others).
Your help is appreciated!

Export Settings - Drag & Drop to Desktop from iPhoto

How can I find out what export settings iPhoto is using when I drag and drop a picture from iPhoto to my desktop?

The iPhoto preview is a "good-enough-for-most-things" version of the photo. Medium compression and so on, but it is missing metadata and is always a jpeg.
With File -> Export you can write the metadata to the exported file (If you use a format that supports that), you can export your Original, Jpeg (in different qualities), Tiff and Png, you can scale the size and have options for the name of the exported file.
Put another way: drag and drop is handy, Exporting is the full monty.

Drag/Drop "Numbered Stills" from Explorer into Project?

I only get individual stills when I drag a folder from Explorer into a project. Is there a way to tell Premiere to import as numbered stills (ie a sequence) when using drag/drop?

Yes, there is an Adobe way that is MUCH better, but it is not exactly a Premiere Pro way
1) Using Adobe Bridge, put all of your stills in the order that you want them to show in Premiere
2) Select all photos and do a right-click "batch rename" (set to make a copy of all photos with 001 002 003 numbers in front of each file name in an empty sub-directory)
3) Import the whole "folder" (that you just "batch rename" copied the photos into) using the "import folder" option
Hope this works for your "workflow" as well as it does for mine.

Why can't I Drag & Drop a link from my address bar to my Bookmarks Toolbar in 4.0? I have the toolbar activated, but I can't do this. I was able to do it no problem with 3.6.

Drag & Drop for bookmarking a link from Address bar to Bookmarks Toolbar is not working in 4.0. Was working in 3.6, then I upgraded to 4.0 and everything got screwed up. How can I fix this?

I ditched 4.0 and went back to 3.6.17 but I can't drag and drop with it either. The Favicom idea didn't work for me either. Once in a great while it will work, but usually that ends up screwing up my bookmarks and everything being re-arranged. How could something so simple and basic NOT WORK anymore?

Context menu & drag/drop mode missing

Hello,
when I place an existing Analyzer query in Excel there is no drag/drop mode available, even if this setting is checked by default. Also I don´t get the context menu on the right mouse button - what am I missing here? Maybe others have experienced the same thing.
I have saved a workbook, where these settings are active and working, so why not with a new query?
I am using Release 2004s SP9, Patch1, Revision 321.

Hello Jochen,
It should not matter whether you use new or old query in the excel.
1. Please check the workbooks settings icon in the new design toolbar in BEx Analyzer and check the option "Allow Drag and Drop"
( But if this is the problem, you would get context menu )
2. Also check the properties of Gris(Table) item in the new design mode in BEx Analyzer and check the option "Allow Navigation"
( If this is not checked, you would not get context menu )
2. If you are not getting context menu, it might be possible that there is a failure while including the query. Please check the status bar of excel at the bottom.
There could be some failure messages.
Double Click on the status bar of excel. It will pop-up the error messages or
it will say "there are no messages"

Upgraded to 10.4.7, now can't drag & drop aiff files from a CD to my HD

I work extensively with music [that's why I got a Mac]
I could always just drag aiff files from a CD onto my HD
to work on them before. Now, I get the "not permitted"
circle when I try to do this... and it happens on CDs I recorded,
as well as commercial Cds.
What's going on? I have a work-around, but this shouldn't be
happening! Drag & Drop has always been a Mac staple, now
it doesn't work. I've checked the last 25 pages of posts and
found no other complaint like mine.

I just tried it, using a commercial audio CD. No problem copying AIFF file from the CD onto the Desktop, using either an admin account or a normal user account.
If you're familiar with Terminal and Unix commands, you could take a look at /Volumes and see what the permissions are on the mounted audio CD. That might be where the problem lies, though I don't know what would cause it.

We have implemented the Interaction Center, in that we have one requirement, where uses/agents wants to attach/upload the file using drag & drop (mouse) method. The standard process is there will be an attachment block where we have button called browse, using this we can attache a file. Please suggest me is there any standard option/configuration to do this, if no standard way at least guide me how to achieve this using technical expertise.

Can't drag/drop music files from Itunes 10.5.2 to my new Ipod Touch

I I spent about 1.5 hours on the phone with an apple tech and really feel like we've tried everything! Switching from manually managing music to auto synch and back, reinstalled ITunes, etc and I still can't drag and drop music files on to my Ipod. I am able create a new playlist, but music files can't be dragged into there either... Could it be a conflict between Itunes 10.5.2 and Mac OS X 10.5.8 that I'm unaware about? Any ideas?! I'm stuck!

When I import or drag/drop an image from Finder into Pages, it floats the image instead of keeping it inline with text

I'm new to Pages and I've searched online for an answer to this question but haven't found anything quite what I need.
When I import an image from Finder (or drag and drop from Finder) into Pages, the Text Wrap default is "automatic" which seems to be "in front of text." I have to manually click each image and then change it from "Automatic" to "Inline With Text." Is there a way to change the default so it's not "Automatic" but "Inline With Text" to save me these steps for every single image I import?
(If importing from Media Browser would behave differently, I don't use iPhoto except for Photo Stream so I need to bring them in from where I've saved them in my Finder.)

Good questions... I'll have to try and figure out when the problem first happened - I was thinking it was when I upgraded to Safari 5.1.4 but that might not be the case... I'll try your suggestions to see if any of them eliminate the problem (I have restarted recenlty and that didn't fix it) but I'll try repairing permissions,etc. Thanks!
hmmm... Mcbuffy: are you implying that you *don't* get the webloc when dragging an image out of Safari and that this isn't a caused by change to Safari but is a big/conflict in mine?

Combine PDF feature missing from right click option Acrobat Pro 9/Windows 7

I combine PDF's all day long and need this feature. I had it on my old computer and since moving over to the new computer I do not have the option to combine PDF's when right clicking on PDF documents. I have searched the forum and found other fixes, however none have worked, I have uninstalled and re-installed three times as well and no luck. Does anyone have any other ideas for fixes for this. I need this feature.....

From the Start menu, choose 'All Programs' > 'Accessories, and *right-click* on 'Command Prompt'Select 'Run as Administrator' and approve the UAC window (if one is displayed)
If you have 64-bit Windows, in the command window type the following and press Enter, including the quotes:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat Elements\ContextMenu64.dll"
On 32-bit Windows, type this instead:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat Elements\ContextMenu.dll"
You should see a message saying it was successful. Close the command prompt window, and your context menus should be back up and running. .

Drag & drop audio clip from timeline to project window ?

i no longer can drag a clip from timeline to the project window & then breakout the clip to mono by selecting clip - audio options- breakout to mono - now when i drop an audio clip from timeline into the project window it does not show up anywhere in the project window - did an update get rid of this function ? it was much better than having to go back to the unedited original source & start from scratch ...

thanx for your time Jim - i understand that would be the preferred method but that was a quick fix until recently i have noticed that i can no longer do it by just grabbing the edited clip & drop it in project window so that i can modify just that portion of the original files properties - it still functions that way on a friends machine - was just kinda weird that i can't get it to work that way any more …
