Drag&drop in demonstration mode?

Hello,
I created a cp-file in demonstration mode. One slide shows a
drag&drop action. When I start a preview the drag&drop
action is not displayed. Instead, for a few seconds, the screen
shows nothing. Is that an error or quite normal? How can I animate
the drag&drop action?

Context menu & drag/drop mode missing

Hello,
when I place an existing Analyzer query in Excel there is no drag/drop mode available, even if this setting is checked by default. Also I don´t get the context menu on the right mouse button - what am I missing here? Maybe others have experienced the same thing.
I have saved a workbook, where these settings are active and working, so why not with a new query?
I am using Release 2004s SP9, Patch1, Revision 321.

It should not matter whether you use new or old query in the excel.
1. Please check the workbooks settings icon in the new design toolbar in BEx Analyzer and check the option "Allow Drag and Drop"
( But if this is the problem, you would get context menu )
2. Also check the properties of Gris(Table) item in the new design mode in BEx Analyzer and check the option "Allow Navigation"
( If this is not checked, you would not get context menu )
2. If you are not getting context menu, it might be possible that there is a failure while including the query. Please check the status bar of excel at the bottom.
There could be some failure messages.
Double Click on the status bar of excel. It will pop-up the error messages or
it will say "there are no messages"

ITunes crashes when try to add songs to library both drag-drop and Add folder/file option

I got the old iTunes updated, it crashed when open. Then I uninstall and download the newest iTunes. Restart my laptop.
I even start iTunes in safe mode but it keep crashing.
I try Add folder first, then Add file, then drag and drop. None of them work and I only have 700MB total of songs, no vids
There were no pop up for error code or anything, iTune just crash when I try one of those add options.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate

How do I unlock folders for drag/drop messages?

I have 2 folders in Thunderbird that will not allow me to drag/drop messages into it. I was able to do this up to about a week ago and now I can't drag/drop.
I have restarted in safe mode but it didn't release the folders for drag/drop. I've checked the properties and it doesn't give me any options to 'unlock the folders' for drag/drop or 'copy into' or 'move into' functionality.

Repair only rebuilds the index of the folder. That Thunderbird can not build an index is something of a worry. Normally I would point the finger at corruption. But this time I don't think so.
Best to go back to basics here I think.
Have you rebooted your computer?
Tried windows safe mode with networking?
My guess is something is locking the physical file that contains the folder mail. A reboot my release whatever it is if your not in the practice of regular cold starts.
Either way failing that Windows safe mode with networking should see the file freed up if you start Thunderbird while in safe mode.

No Drag&Drop in Adobe Reader X to Excel or Word...

With Adobe Reader 9.4.1 it was possible to copy text with drag&drop to Excel or Word.
Now, after Update to Adobe Reader X there is no drag&drop possible!!!

In the preferences of Adobe Reader disable the protected mode.

Hi guys,
you may have noticed, Drag & Drop is not longer available since Reader X with enabled Protected Mode. This has become painful news for our accounting personnel. They used Drag and Drop to put billing information into our DMS. Is there a way to enable this feature for a specific website with some kind of whitelist or REG key or do we have to disable Protected Mode in general ?

Copy/paste and drag/drop not working in Mt. Lion

After two weeks of searching, I can not find the hangup which is causing my iMac 27" 10.8 to stop copy/paste and drag/drop following successfully doing the same shortly after startup. In Safe Mode, it doesn't happen, so I'm wondering how to track down this problem (extension?). I have to restart in order to get it functioning again after a short time of working. There has to be some kind of timing, like a program installed with a time limit which probably was forgotten in Lion and then reared its ugly head in Mt. Lion. Any suggestions for tracking this puppy? Or is there a program I could buy to do so?

The scaffolding teamplate which you use to create scaffolding page is actually a design prototype which helps you to create similar types of pages instances very quickly without authoring each page separately (for example news, aticle types of pages) and that is the concept of scaffolding only.
For example - When you go to location http://localhost:4502/miscadmin#/etc/scaffolding/geometrixx you will see a "News" page which is an example of scaffolding (this is a similar page which you can create using scaffolding template).
Now if you open this page you will be accessing http://localhost:4502/cf#/etc/scaffolding/geometrixx/news.html and here you will see already design page.
     1. if you access page properties from side kick you will see how this page is configured using target template and target path
     2. if you go to design mode using side kick you will see how the component has been design (which is similar to what appears on page when you came first time)
     3. Now come back to normal view of that page (http://localhost:4502/cf#/etc/scaffolding/geometrixx/news.html) and author this page with some dummy property and click on "create" button. I know here you can not author the image as it comes as disabled empty box.
     4. once you author the content and click on create button it will create an instance of scaffolding page on the same page you can see the link on the top of same page.
     5. Now access that page, when you access that page the page will take reference of target template you configured using pare preoperties to display the page.
     6. On this page you will see the same component you configured and when you will edit it you can author the image from there directly.
Now question is why to configure same component two times half data from scaffolding and half data from page but answer is the design is correct because the page design which you have created (for example http://localhost:4502/cf#/etc/scaffolding/geometrixx/news.html) is just proto type to create actual page instances and prototype can not holds values for page instance (specially image until it doesnt configured correctly for page instance in this case) which exist only when you create pages using the scaffolding page prototype. Otherwise you have to do more customization by extending scaffolding "/libs/wcm/scaffolding" changing the code and design OR you have to design it according to your target page strtucture which you have configured in page properties (specially image node).
If you want to create your own page prototype using scaffolding template and want image to associate just copy paste "/etc/scaffolding/geometrixx/news/jcr:content/dialog/items/items/tab2" node to your newly created scaffolding page prototype.

My Finder window doesn't display properly after drag & drop

When I do a drag/drop - maybe to add a mail attachment or insert a picture into Powerpoint - the Finder window changes/freezes in that it I can no longer scroll up or left - any ideas what might be going wrong?

ALV Grid Drag & Drop - Cell-specific

Hi ABAPers,
I've referred SAP Standard program / SDN forum and got some logic for ALV Drag & Drop for row-specific, Column-specific and for Trees. But I didn't get for Cell-specific.
My requirement is :
If the user drags a particular cell to another cell in an ALV-grid, then that Cell value should be copied to the 'Dropped-Cell' in the ALV Grid and should be saved to that particular Internal Table.I have referred the SAP standard program BCALV_DND_03 which does from a different tree to a cell. My requirement is from the same ALV grid Table.
I've also referred BCALV_DND_04 which is useful. But here, it does it for the whole row.
Can anyone please help me in this?

Drag & drop layer

Hi,
I would like to drag & drop a layer into a other document when document are viewed as tabs.
I tried to drop the layer on top of the tab of another document, but it doesn't work. When in tab view mode, the only way is to copy and paste. But, I prefered when I can drag & drop layer, this way it keeps layer name.
Is there a way to drag & drop layer on document that are displayed as tab?

You can do it in tabs mode. Just drag the layer to the destination tab, wait a minute, the tab will pop to the front and let you drag the layer over. The trick is that you must drag the layer from the document window (using the move tool), not the layer icon from the layers panel. If I am confused then it's the other way around (I don't use tabs).

I want to be able to drag/drop to my iPhone

Hi there. I have a 2G original iPhone with 3.1.3 and the latest version of iTunes.
Currently I am synced only to my Macbook. I want to be able to drag/drop music and videos right to my iPhone instead of going through my iTunes library but I can't do it because all the music in my iPhone is gray.

You can transfer music and videos via the iTunes sync process, or manually manage music and videos with an iTunes library on a single computer only. You can do one or the other, not both at the same time. If you want to manually manage music and videos, this is selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. If this content was transferred to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process previously, switching to manually manage music and videos will erase all iTunes content from your iPhone first. You cannot manually manage music and videos with an iTunes library on multiple computers as is possible with an iPod that supports disk mode.

Drag&Drop & Windows 7

Hi,
I'm testing Flex Builder (last release) on Windows 7 RC1, I have troubles with the native drag&drop functionality of an AIR application inside the development environment, the d&d doesn't works while testing the application with 'run' and 'debug' options inside the builder, d&d actually works if I deploy application and test it with the 'standard' AIR framework.... same code works on Vista and so on on the fly...
I have checked the forum and found another user having the same 'issue', perhaps some OS settings or security levels to grant to flex builder?
I know that W7 is not yet a RTM and is not supported so far, btw any suggestion is welcome.

And does this works in safe mode or only a problem in normal Windows Mode?

The answer to your question is Yes, I tried it in Safe Mode and it does NOT work there either. (Please note that I made sure to say this in my OP, where I wrote: "The problem
DOES occur even in Clean Boot and Safe Mode!").

How i can do a drag drop between container (grid)?

I am trying to work out a task with Drag and Drop(WPF ,C#)to include in a demo ,i will explain easy showing an example of code in XAML

My purpose is when the user drag the

container1 (basically I want to swap the grids) then this process will be used every time need to drag a grid in a container. with a code that i wrote down i can do a simple drag&drop i can drag the "grid1"
to the "container2" but cannot send back automatically the grid2 to container1.

Currently I do not have a sample and I have reviewed this post and find another way which seems more reasonable. Have you cosidered use a ListView instead of common grid. It seems we can do what you want with two common grid however we need to hardcoded
all the things.
If we use ListView, for example, you can see this thread:

We can drag and drop items instead of grid, which will make this programming much easier than hard code to switch your control's location.

I deleted the "desktop" in tiger, can't "alias", "copy" or "drag & drop" anything to it now, I get a message that "desktop can not be changed"

I was trying to make an alias of "SAFARI" icon to have on the desktop & in the dock as well, I managed to make the safari icon appear on the desktop, but when I wanted to switch from firefox to safari it wouldn't open / start safari, so OK, no big deal, I moved it the trash, ( by rt. click,>move to trash>click ) the horror starts here, everything on the desktop disappeared into the trash !!!!! ......
So I have tried to "drag & drop", "alias", "copy", "duplicate" to get things back out of the trash, but every attempt is met with a message "the desktop con not be changed", and whatever I try to bring anything out of the trash window, it gets a "minus - sign" added to it when it crosses over the edge of the trash window, and of course it jumps right back into the trash when the mouse button is released.
I think (barely) I will need the do a "clean install", or a "restore" from the install DVD to restore / get the desktop back.
And while the only thing on the desktop now is the HDD icon, clicking it open does not show the desktop in the Lf. column of the window where it should be, or any OS X folders when clicking on anything, but the OS is is running for this post and yahoo, etc., and there is a upward facing arrow next to the "network" name in the left column, that doesn't go away, like after installing some software, this is weird !!

this is happening on my back-up machine, a G4 400mhz PCI, OS X TIGER 10.4.11 & 9.2.2 in classic ( all the 9.2.2 stuff does still show in the hdd when clicked )

What did you do? This looks like a terminal command.
Or, did you click on the safari icon then right click on the safari icon then click on open?
I do not understand how you that moving to the trash would be helpful.
I suspect disk corruptions.
I run disk utility verify the file system on your starup disk. See below.
verify & repair your startup drive
To verify & repair you file system on the startup drive, you will need to run disk utility from you installation DVD.
This article will tell you how to get to disk utility. Once in a disk utility, you can go and attempt to recover the disk.

How to run disk utility from your startup DVD.
Insert your startup DVD into your reader. Power down your machine. Hold down to the c key. Power on your machine. This will bootup your startup DVD.
This will bring you to a panel asking you for your language. Pick your language.
You you come to the Install Mac OS panel. Do not install.
Click on Utilities menu item. This will give you a pulldown list of utilities.
Click on the disk utility.
You are now in disk utility. Pick your disk. Click on repair it should be on the lower right of the panel.
Once the repair completes successfully, you should update your permissions.
Verify a disk
As an alternative, you can verify that the filesystem on the disk is correct. You will not be able to repair the file system.
I suggest that you use disk utility to verify that your startup disk is OK. Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility Start up disk utility. On the left pane view, you will see a list of all your disks. click on your startup disk. Click on the First Aid Tab. Click on verify. Hopefully your disk will verify. If not, you have to boot from your installation DVD and run Disk First Aid from there to attempt to repair your file-system.
