Drag & Drop Text File To Form

I have my form properties set to AllowDrop = True and I have coding set as below, but anytime I try to drag a .txt file onto it I have a circle with a line through it and nothing happens when I release the file on the form?

If I select the text layer and click the text style button in the library it just creates a new text style for Myriad Pro 12pt - I'm not using that anywhere in my document.
Can anyone help? Seems like a bug to me as I'm trying what the video tutorials are saying.

Do you realize it is an object-based vector-based program? Do you know the difference between raster-based and vector-based content?
My question seems to be all over the forum but no one has been able to answer other than exporting to these file formats, which make text look awful and of no use....
And yet everyone else in the world makes proper web images every day using a plethora of programs, including these...go figure.

Hello, cocteau! What you're calling "transparency" is inherent to object-based vector artwork. But web browsers don't support object-based vector artwork, except via file formats like Flash and SVG, or by viewing as a PDF in a plug-in version of Reader. Raster imaging in general only supports "transparency" by either indexing a specific color (i.e.; "don't display this color", as in GIF) or including an alpha channel (i.e.; "blend all the pixels with existing pixels, based on values from this extra channel", as in PNG). It's all in the raster file format you use, cocteau; it has little-to-nothing to do specifically with Adobe software. Such things are among the most basic matters understood by someone doing web design.
When I export an eps from .ai file, and open the eps in photoshop,...I save as a gif for the web, it goes back to the original problem...creates jagged text. I"m giving up on this garbage...Thanks a lot adobe! Lower the price of this software if this is all that can be done.
Once it leaves Photoshop (or Illustrator, or whatever) as a non-proprietary raster image format, it's all about what the format can do re "transparency". You can do this stuff with most any graphics program. You should read about basic web design and the differences between raster and vector content, rather than rant.

I don't think you could do that in a easier way (atleast AFAIK). You would need to create an extension to the IDE to achieve it.

Can't drag/drop MP4 files in iTunes 10 - Movies

Recently I have installed the new iTunes 10. Now I am not able to drag and drop MP4 files to load videos in my iPod and iPhone. Earlier I used to drag & drop MP4 files and load my iPod. But with this new version in Windows 7 OS, I am not able to load videos. Became very frustrated. Can you please help me?

I have the same problem! Is there anyone out there with an answer! I'm so extremely frustrated with this issue. I did everything that others have suggested on this community and others online. I used a converter (which doesn't even make any sense because I used to be able to drag/drop mp4 with ease without converting them before this stupid iOS5 and Itunes update). I renamed the file to m4v. There's tons of stuff I tried and still nothing. What frustrates me is that everyone is suggesting to convert and as I said I never used to do that with MP4's before. Why all of a sudden now?

Drag & Drop Text into place holder while Matching style. Possible?

Is it possible to drag text into a placeholder text box and have the dragged text assume the style of the placeholder text? I know that I can "paste and match style" which I use constantly but I am trying to build a template for other people to use and would love for them to simply be able to drag & drop text into a template. It seems like this would be the default behavior for a template but it does not seem to be.
Am I missing something obvious?

hi guys, I'm using iBooks for years and suddenly i can't drag drop pdf files in my iPad2 using the latest iTunes, i searched for a solution which i can sync books but i find it complicated since everytime i want to add pdf file i need to sync my iPad and that's time consuming, others talking about send it by email and then open in iBooks, but what if the file is 20 to 50 MB ? i want it back to drag and drop to my iPad for sure something wrong happend cause it was working perfectly.

Not sure if you had same problem as I did but I had to go into settings then cloud and make sure contacts was set to on... (I had turned them off as I was a bit wary of the iCloud )

Drag & Drop multiple files

Does anyone know if there's a hack or a fix for this?
When you drag & drop multiple files (into any program, as far as I know -- if it's a software-specific thing please correct me), they open in a completely random order. This is obnoxious -- and downright frustrating when you're copying from them and closing them... and the app crashes. Because I now have no easy way to tell which ones I've already copied from.
Thoughts? Ideas? Rumors of a fix? I don't recall this being a problem in OS9 -- what, five updates ago? Seems like it should be a simple thing. Now, it would be truly elegant if they would open in the order that the window was sorted by... but I'd settle for ANY kind of order.

Looks like the bug is even more complex than I had known. I usually select the items and double click to open in Preview. As long as the window is in column view they open in order. Just tried dragging to the Dock and....one time they opened wrong, but half a dozen other trials all opened correctly. A little more experimenting, and it seems to me that if you first open a batch from list view they open incorrectly, if you then put into Column view and try to open the same batch again, the will still open incorrectly. Seems like there may be a cache effect of some sort going on.
Photoshop is likely a whole 'nother kettle of fish. I know that in order for things to open at all when you double click or drop on the Dock icon, you have to have the following:
"/Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types"
What that does with information that gets passed to it is anybody's guess. Personally, if I'm going to batch open Photoshop files I do it from the Photoshop file browser.

Can't drag/drop music files from Itunes 10.5.2 to my new Ipod Touch

I I spent about 1.5 hours on the phone with an apple tech and really feel like we've tried everything! Switching from manually managing music to auto synch and back, reinstalled ITunes, etc and I still can't drag and drop music files on to my Ipod. I am able create a new playlist, but music files can't be dragged into there either... Could it be a conflict between Itunes 10.5.2 and Mac OS X 10.5.8 that I'm unaware about? Any ideas?! I'm stuck!

script that can do it for you. i remember from awhile ago a

emailing form

Can anyone tell me why iTunes don't let me drag&drop DTS files?

can anyone tell me what should I do to be able to play DTS audio files with iTunes (Windows 7).
I connected my PC (via optical output) to a 5.1 receiver and everything is ok until I try to drag&drop DTS audio files to iTunes and try to playing them, with VLC ther is no problem playing those files.

The best I can suggest is that if you have an Apple device and hence need to use iTunes, you can either convert the DTS files, or use iTunes for your other media and Windows Media Player for the DTS files. Yes it really is possible to get WMP to play Apple Lossless files. I have my entire collection in Apple Lossless and with the right addons I have WMP12 in Windows 7 able to play Apple Lossless, to put them in the right Music section, and to also automatically read the meta-tags in Apple Lossless files including the embedded artwork.
By using both iTunes and WMP you could have iTunes handle the syncing to your Apple device, and use WMP to play files.

We have implemented the Interaction Center, in that we have one requirement, where uses/agents wants to attach/upload the file using drag & drop (mouse) method. The standard process is there will be an attachment block where we have button called browse, using this we can attache a file. Please suggest me is there any standard option/configuration to do this, if no standard way at least guide me how to achieve this using technical expertise.
