Drag to change order of playlists fails AGAIN

Sometimes it works, but give it a few minutes and it fails. Only multiple reboots restores it. What is going on? It's been weeks!
This issue appears to effect all regular (not Smart) playlists and Sort by Manual Order does not solve the problem.
Can anyone help?

You have to be at the lowest level of a folder/collection to get drag and drop to work.
If you have 'Include Photos from Subitems' unticked then you can sort in higher up folders/collections, but this only shows items in the actual collection/folder.
If you have images in multiple collections that you want to sort in order, select them and then Ctrl N (Cmd N on Mac ) to create a new collection. Tick the use selected photos box and name the new collection. Make sure it's at the bottom of a collection tree (or on it's own) and then sort inside the new collection.
When dragging, drag from the image itself, not from the border around it.

8.3 won't let me change order of playlists

i just updated my 5s to iOS 8, and now I can't alter the order of my playlists. I will hit the edit button, drag a song from the bottom of the list to the top. So far so good. Then I will scroll back down to the bottom of the playlist, and the song is there again. I check the top of the playlist, and the song is gone from there, like I never tried to edit it at all. I have tried restarting the music app and my phone. Is anyone else having this problem, or have an idea of how to fix it?

I don't even have time to hit done. I want to rearrange the list by moving multiple songs around. I literally drag a song from the bottom to the top, scroll down to the bottom, see that the song has reappeared, scroll up and see that the song I moved isn't there, all of this taking place while I am still in edit mode.

You probably have 'Album' or 'Artist' header collumn activated.
You can only change the order of songs if you have the song/track order column activated with the little arrow pointing upwards.

No such option for moving song within playlist, only the up and down arrow which moves song from top to bottom list, so if it is #4 from top it will move to #4 from bottom. Stupid I know. I spent over an hour with Apple support, reinstalled itunes, restarted and rebooted computer. Networked with my laptop which is running 10.6.8 and itunes 10.4 and it can drag and drop. The final Apple support solution was to reinstall my operating system. I would prefer not to. Any other ideas?

After looking at other people's posts, I think it's official: there is a bug. Itunes support said I should not have lost the drag/drop tool and I haven't on the laptop that is running itunes 10.4 and operating system 10.6.8. I chatted with someboby who lost both his drag/drop and side scroll and what we have in common is a wacom tablet for a mouse. My laptop is a wireless mouse. I reinstalled whatever updated driver that wacom has out there, shut the system down for night, hoping for magic, but alas none to be had. So if I want to change song order, I network the laptop and desktop, share the screen on the laptop, drag and drop to my heart's content and curse Apple for making me work this hard to find the tool that was once at my fingertips. Apple also let me know that if I want to share songs in household that the hundreds on songs that were purchased for .99 need to be repurchased for another .30. Maybe Apple is holding my drag/drop tool captive til I pay up the money or Maybe the next update will fix the problem, I for one give up for now.

Cannot change track order in playlist

Created playlist. Went to change order of tracks in list. Cannot move track to change location within the playlist or figure any othe way to accomplish this.

View > View Options. When the View Options box comes up, set "Sort by" to "Manual Order."
Once this is done, you will be able to move songs up or down by drag-n-drop.

When making a new playlist, the screen layout has changed, the playlist header is now on the left instead of the right, this does not allow me to drag the songs onto the playlist, how do I reset?

In the top corner of iTunes is a small icon with a down arrow, click on that and choose 'show menu bar'.
Then on the view menu which now appears choose 'show sidebar'

Apple does not post or respond to these user-to-user forums.
Apple very, very rarely shares what they are working on so there is no way of knowing if Apple is working on this issue. I highly doubt any Apple employees who may be working on it would risk their job by talking about it

Track order changed when copying playlist to memory stick!

Help!! Everytime I try to copy a playlist to a memory stick by highlighting and dragging the track order gets completely jumbled and it's driving me nuts!!! How do I prevent this from happening??!! Thank you for any responses to this question!

You cannot.
The playlist is sorted on any column in iTunes or by simply dragging the songs up/down as you want.
When you view the songs on the memory stick in Windows Exploder, it sorts by the column you are sorting on (filename is default).
You would need to add a track number of the playlist order to the filename to keep them in order.

So as we all know, it is quite easy to arrange your playlists by artist, album, date added, etc. This presents a temporary arrangement of the playlist and is quite a useful feature. However, this does not change the 'default' order of the playlist, which is either arranged by date added or however else a user has changed it manually by dragging songs up and down. The default order is the one that you see if you turn all the sorting off. It is also the one that all your friends see and that you see if you open Spotify from other devices. My situation is as follows: I have a main playlist of about 750 songs. A couple of months ago I severely changed the default order manually (so that it matches the release date of the songs). The process took me a couple of hours. The question is - is there any automatic way to sort the default playlist order by date added again? I want it to be the way it was in the beggining and I really don't have the patience to do it all manually again. Any ideas?

If you click on the column with the calendar icon does this sort your playlist back to the original date the songs where added to the playlist? I assume this is what you are wanting to do? Clicking the calendar icon column once should present the tracks by oldest date added to the playlist in chronological order, clicking it again will reverse where newest is first and oldes added tracks are last. If this sorting does the opposite, then you might have had the column sorted once before by this option of date added, and the option when clicked on reverses the choice you had before. A third click should turn it off back to manual sorting again. Is this what you are wanting to do, or have I misunderstood your post?

My itunes video playlists (grid view) keep changing to audio playlists

I'm using iTunes 10.7 and stream a lot of movies to my AppleTV. I have video playlists and the AppleTV recognizes them as such.
Lately, my video playlists, in the poster art (grid) view, have been changing to audio playlists and changing the order of the files from alphabetized by Title, to alphabetized by Artist. The buttons at the top of the playlist - "Movies Genres Unwatched" have changed to "Albums Artists Genres Composers"
If I create a new playlist, it retains the video qualities until I select another playlist, then it changes to the audio playlist, when I select it again.
The titles are all out of sequence, on the Apple TV - reflecting the setting on the poster view setting (e.g. "Artist") on the itunes playlist.
What do I have to do the get the playlists to retain the video characteristics?

However, my troubleshooting issue is that I also want the songs in my concert playlists to go in order of how they were performed at the concerts.
Give them a track number.
Each time I number them within the playlists the song's number also changes within the Library Music list.
And? I'm not seeing the problem.
However, I can not figure out how to make true copy. I've already tried dragging the song to my desktop, then dragging the new copy back into iTunes. I've even tried renaming the duplicate copy and dragging it into iTunes. Why won't my iTunes make an individual duplicate copy of a song?
How do you have iTunes manage your music? If you drag a song to the desktop it may just be moving the file to the desktop.
Command+R to reveal the file in Finder. Command+D to duplicate the file in Finder. Drag the duplicate to iTunes to add the second copy. Not that I totally understand where the issues lie and feel this is likely not the best remedy...

How can I automatically randomise the song order of playlists?

In previous versions of iTunes I would hit shuffle on a playlist and all the songs would change order - which was beyond convenient when creating 6-hour-long party playlists after dragging in the desired albums and songs. Then you could 'copy to play order' to leave the playlist in this shuffled state. On the new iTunes it seems not to have this option - it only lets you manually drag each song around the playlist, which is silly when the playlist gets towards a hundred songs. Is there any way now to automatically shuffle/randomise the song list?

On the Mac, this feature is enabled in Pages ’09 via the Preferences panel and Auto-Correction > Fix Capitalization. In Pages v5.2, this feature is not yet implemented. You will have to relearn use of the shift key.

Change order of key figure is not working in Web report output (using WAD)

We are using BI 7.0, release 701 and level 008. We are facing problem in WAD (web report output). When ever we do 'Select filter' for key figures and 'change the order' of key figures, it does not get reflected in new order. Though drag and drop of key figures is working.
Though same change order is working fine in Bex Analyser.
Kindly suggest some inputs.

How to look for SAP provided rules while changing orders ?

we have a requirement to check for order type when the change order request ( in form of IDOC via EDI) is passed to SAP and the requirement is such that we can only accept certain order types like TA and reject order order type........from a very high level though process the idea is to check if SAP has certain pre build code that can be called before the va02 is called.....
I am new to sap and was told that we need to first look if SAP has a existing functionality if not then find user exit and customize it .....
my question is where does one look in SAP for such code ...or out of the box feature..........which can be called ....I understand if nothing is found we can write ABAP program to do this.....but I am puzzled as I do not now where to look and eliminate that such feature is not already provide ......

check which FM you use to post your IDOC (like IDOC_INOUT_ORDCHG) and then check in this FM ... you'll find exits like 'call customer-function'.... I'm sure you'll find one which is called to validate data passed in your segment (where actual order type is passed).... or just use the one which works always after the order number is known and then just check your order type & raise error to fail IDOC so it will not even try to update your order.
