Dragged CS6 Apps into Paper bin (mac) - what now?

Hi!
I tried installing the trial version of After Effects and Photoshop CS6 earlier today. However the installation failed because there was a power cut in my building.
Since the installer did not work properly I decided to delete the applications by dragging them into the paper bin ( I only just now read that you should not do that).
Now i cannot reinstall any application since the installer immediately gives out an error.
Is there anything I can do?

Please go to the location
In Mac
Finder-->Applications--->utilities--->Adobe Installers
In Windows
Control Panel --> Programs and features --> uninstall a program
and see if there is any uninstaller for After effects and Photoshop CS6. If you find the uninstaller just double click on it to run.
Once the software is uninstalled completely then try to install it again.

This time I saw what had happened and pulled the files out of the trash, onto my desktop and dragged them back into iTunes, then deleted the duplicate files that had exclamation points next to them. Now I have no idea if iTunes is playing duplicate files from the trash or not, and am nervous about emptying the trash. Anyone dealt with this before? Thank you

Are you running Mavericks 10.9? That is required for iBooks.

Not able to drag WEB items into the Layout. What can be the issue?

Solved my own problem. Didn't realize I had to export the preview file from iBooks author. Once I did that, I was able to select that file within the preview box.

Trying to use my home sharing on new macbook air, but I physically can't drag the songs into my music. What do I need to do to change this?

Basically, I've set up my home sharing between my macbook air, and our mac mini at home. The home sharing option shows up on both computars, and the music is visable and available to listen to when I bring it up on home sharing from the mac mini, but when I try to actually drag the music over to my music on my macbook. Both of our itunes are completely up to date. Is there any way to fix this?

When I drag .ics files into Outlook for Mac 2011, only the all-day events show up. It won't show part-day events.

I'm attempting to copy events from the Calendar app on my MacBook pro to the Outlook 2011 calendar. When I drop and drag the .ics files to Outlook, it accepts the information, but only shows all day events. I've tried changing events in Calendar to all day, then create the .ics file then drop and drag to Outlook, and even that doesn't work. Is anyone else having that problem? Has anyone found a solution for this?

Is Macintosh HD2 an external or internal HD? If it is external be sure in Finder > Preferences > General External disks is checked. Similarly in Findeer > Preferences > Sidebar be sure External disks is checked. If it is a second internal HD do you see it in Disk Utlitiy or System Report?

My iweb pages were created on another mac--what now?

A friend helped me create a web site. But he did it using iweb '08 on his Mac and using (I think) his .mac account. Now we're trying to move what he did onto MY mac.. The files are on my computer now and i have iweb '08. Here's the problem: although I can view the pages if I click on them, they're not opening up in my iweb. Does this mean they're not really publishing under my name and won't work with my e-mail and domain? Do I have to create the pages again, and start from scratch on my computer?

I appreciate the response, but it's still not working. Here's what I did: got a folder called "sites" from my friend which included something called html.index and another folder with several sub folders that I believe are the nuts and bolts of my site. I took the whole thing and placed it in Library/applications support/iweb. But when I open up iweb, all I see is the program's default template page.
Did I copy the wrong thing? Do I need to go into a different menu of my iweb to find my stuff?

While installing the CS6 Apps through CC Subscription, what should I do with my old CS4 App

While installing the CS6 Apps through Creative Cloud Subscription, what should I do with my old CS4 Apps still in my Apps folder?
After installing my first 2, Ai and ID, I check the Application Folder and both the newly installed CS6 and my old CS4 versions of each App are in the folder.
Do I just throw away into the trash the CS4 versions? If so, will all my created data files remain intact?

Uninstall the CS4 versions properly using the uninstallers that come with them (aliases are in each of the apps' directories). Beyond that it works as it should - newer versions always leave older ones in place. Whether or not you will be able to open all your CS4 files in CS6 we cannot know - yes, newer versions should open older files, but you may be using specific stuff that limits compatibility like certain plug-ins that would need to be upgraded for CS6 as well. For that exact reason you may wanna keep CS4 around a while longer until you can be sure...

After upgrade iPad2 to iOS6, unable to save apps into folder

I just upgraded my iPad2 to iOS6 and now I am unable to drag an app icon into a folder and save it.
It lets me drag the apps around into my folder, but as soon as I hold the button down to save the settings, I get the black screen with apple logo that shows the device shutting down. Then I get my login prompt.
Tried several times and get same results.
Anybody else seeing this after iOS6 upgrade?

Ok, when this failed, I was trying to move multiple apps across several pages into multiple folders.
Next, I tried moving app on same screen: worked. moving app to another screen: worked. Moving one app into folder on same screen: worked. Finally, tried moving multile apps into folder and: worked.
Now I am unable to reproduce the problem.

hello, I just switched to a Mac and am using PSE 9.0. Can you drag photos or elements into the project bin? I can't seem to figure it out and it's frustrating me, I could just open my files in my computer on my PC and drag what I wanted in. How do you do this on a Mac or do I have to open each one separately? thanks!! I'm a digi scrapper and it's driving me nuts!!

You can drag one photo into the workspace (not the project bin) if there's not another photo open, but for some reason in PSE 9 it stops working with additional photos. This is a PSE 9 bug, though, not the usual behavior of previous mac versions.

If what you previously bought is an iOS application, ensure that you’re signed into the iTunes Store with the Apple ID you used to buy it, or sync the device with an iTunes library which contains it.
If what you previously bought is a Mac OS X application, you can’t. The developer needs to create the two versions separately and may choose to charge for both.

What is meant by waiting for app store to download mac os x server add on.

Can't get past that step to upgrade xserver from 10.6.8 to 10.7. I am trying to upgrade my xserver 10.6.8 to 10.7. I have purchased the os x lion and the lion server, and they are both downloaded on the machine, but it will not let me get past the step of waiting for app store to download mac os x server add on. Anyone know what that is or where I can get it? App store never starts a download. tia

Ran into this myself on a new MacMini Server. I renamed the ServerVersion.plist file in /System/Library/CoreServices/. That allowed the install to start. Unfortunately it seems the installer is setup to install that at the same time. I renamed the file back before the restart and it complained on restart that the server install wasn't found.
So I thought I would try downloading it on another computer with Lion. That didn't work either. As soon as it finished download it installed and deleted the installer.
What a pain.
If you can start from scratch, you should be able to rename the file, do the Lion install then after the Lion install rename it back. Then do the server install. I'm not sure what that will do to existing server configs though. There must be some reason Apple set up the Lion installer this way.
Oh, now I can't reboot into my existing OS. It keeps rebooting into the installer. Tried the option key and both options are named something like base os. Neither boots my existing Snow Leopard. Gonna have to get an external DVD drive and install from scratch I think. Luckily this is a new server not in production, so not a big deal. I hope people with production machines read the boards and tread carefully.
