Dragging tracks to playlist doesn't work

If I want to drag a track to a playlist I've created, it won't add the track. Only if I drag it to the playlist's name and then drop it in the list of tracks it gets saved. This takes a lot of extra time and since it's not the case with all my playlists it's a real turnoff since I have to check everytime whether a track did really get saved in my playlist. Solution anyone?

Have you tried reinstalling Spotify?

a) Show Sidebar enabled
Highlight a track, anywhere (in a Playlist), right-click. From the context menu select Show in Playlist, and select to show the track in another playlist, then the head of the selected playlist is shown and the track is not shown.
However, doing the same, but selecting to Show in Playlist, but the playlist is a library ("Music") does work, the song is highlighted in the library.
b) Show Sidebar disabled
I found no scenario where Show in Playlist doesn't work as expected

Now that I have home share my drag and drop feature doesn't work to create playlists

Now with Home Share there are two subsets of playlists. One is on the hard drive of the acutual computer where the iTunes originated. Once I am at a Home Share computer I cannot use the playlist feature. I can CREATE a playlist and name it, but the drag and drop feature does not work for songs which are not directly located on this hard drive. I can, for some reason, attach an iPod and make a list over on that, but that is all.

Because IE is running in a different user context. You cannot drag and drop anything from Explorer into a different user context. This isn't a "SharePoint" issue, as it relates to any application run as a different user.

Dragging tracks into playlists/ within playlists suddenly a problem (itunes version 12.1.2)

I updated to 12.1.2 april 15 (its may 4 today) and literally all of a sudden this morning I cannot drag and drop any tracks into playlists, within playlists, or to devices. I can add with the right click menu option but cannot drag. I have OS X 10.10.3 and I have not made any changes to the operating system or computer. I searched google and the itunes forum and can't find any explanation that applies to my situation. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it as quickly as possible?

i don't know... its about the most frustrating random itunes problem i've ever experienced. i still have no idea why it spontaneously started malfunctioning but i managed to "fix" it by restarting my computer... i have no idea why that seems to have worked. i saw it on a similar but not necessarily applicable thread and thought it was worth a shot before spending the next hour or so troubleshooting with apple. just looking at all the boards today trying to figure out how to fix this particular issue, there are literally so many different similar cases of so many problems with itunes that its become clear they need to start fresh... anyway, maybe see if a restart helps resolve the click and drag issue for you. good luck.

Crossfades on grouped tracks. It doesn't work!?

On PTools when I have some grouped tracks, if I make a crossfade on a track it applys automatically on other goruped tracks. On Logic 7.1 it doesn't work. Am I missing something?

You're not missing something... Logic is.
Until Apple realizes that this would be a welcome addition to their software, simply rubberband select all the regions on the arrange page that you want to apply crossfades to, and then put the crossfade value in manually from the parameter box at the top left of the screen.
You can either click and drag your mouse to enter the value, or double click on the parameter, and enter it from your keyboard.

Simple drag&drop with handler doesn't work in Edge?

I try to use the JQueryUi "handle" property that makes you drag an object restricting drag click on only one element but it doesn't work.
Here's the code I've put in Edge onCompositionReady:

Of course my two Div-elements are called "drag" and "handler". Now the drag works only on the "wrong" element and not on the "handle".....

How do I share a garageband track when iWeb doesn't work?

Used to have a iWeb account to show off the kids to family and friends overseas. Without MobileMe it doesn't work. What do I do instead? My immediate issue is that my daughter needs a track she made in garageband, at school, and I thought she could pick it up on iWeb. But no... Any ideas?

Right-click add track to playlist doesn't do anything

About 90% of the time (iTunes 12) trying to add tracks to existing playlists via right-click doesn't do anything. No error message, but the track just doesn't get added. I think this mostly happens when adding multiple tracks at once, not sure. Clicking on the little circle and adding to playlist that way, on the other hand, seems to work for the one track but ignores all the other tracks you have selected and only adds that one track.
Is this a known bug? Does it only happen to me?
I have to resort to always selecting all the tracks I want to add, then choose 'create new playlist from selection'. This always works. Then I have to copy (drag-and-drop) the entries from that new playlist to the playlist I actually wanted the tracks in, and then delete the new unnecessary playlist. It's an unnecessary amount of work.

On-the-Go Playlist doesn't work

When I create an on-the-go playlist on my ipod it refuses to play.
For example say I add two songs by holding down the center button on the scroll wheel then navigate to playlists. With the 'On-the-go' playlist highlighted I press Play and nothing happens.
If I go into the On-the-go playlist I can see the two songs I added however can only play the songs one at a time. The behaviour of my other playlists is fine ipod plays them ok and individual songs are shown as being 1 of X.
Any ideas ?

Ok. If you find the song in a list (ie when you search by artist or album) and you hold down the center button, it works.
But, I want to put songs on my playlist when I hear them on random, when I cant highlight them without lots of work.

Dragging to other applications doesn't work any longer

I used iPhoto before and back then I could easily drag pictures to Photoshop to edit them, to a LibreOffice document to embedd it or to a website within Chrome to for example attach it to an existing thread on Facebook.
With Photos, non of these works any longer. I could only drag it to the Pages app, which looks like Apple broke drap&drop in Photos. I do _not_ want to export or save pictures first somewhere in between to attach them as a normal file. I want drag&drop as before.

I don't believe it - it has actually exported it modifying the original 1080p video and downconverting it to 720p.
The fact that you cannot easily view original images/movie files in their actual location via Finder makes such comparisons difficult but I know this was 1080p video.

Drag and Drop bookmarks doesn't work.

The drag and drop functionality when organising bookmarks stops working after organising a couple of bookmarks (When it works at all)! Is this a Safari bug? Does anybody know how to fix this?

I found the answer to my problems. The Torbutton add-on inhibits Drag and Drop functions (especially of Bookmarks). When I disable Torbutton, Drag and Drop works again. When I enable it, Drag and Drop stops. So, obviously, I disable it whenever I want to manually sort items with Drag and Drop.
I have read that there are about 5 or 6 other add-ons that also inhibit Drag and Drop functionality, not just the Torbutton add-on. The list is somewhere in the main Firefox support section (but it's tough to find the answer there twice).

Help: My track pad sometimes doesn't work.

I was on a plane, and a diet soda exploded on me. A little bit got on my MBP. Nothing got on the keyboard at all, but some did get on the trackpad. I wiped it up as soon as I could, but after that the track pad acted real funky. I shut it down, and booted it up about 3 hours later, and sometimes the track pad would work just fine, and then other times it would go crazy, not be responsive, and navigate all kinds of places whenever I touched it a little bit.
I shut the laptop down for a day, and came back to it, and it is still incredibly inconsistent. Help.

You need to take it into your local Apple Store and just pay for the repair. Spills are not covered under your warranty and there are liquid contact indicators in your MBP which will let Apple know that you had a spill.

hello, your question conatins a few issues...
*if you want to use the regular release version (firefox 18.0.2 at the moment) and not a beta version, then please download the setup file from getfirefox.com & install it on top of your current installation
*when there is a folder named "old firefox data" on your desktop, then you've done a [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset of firefox]] which had reset most of your preferences to the factory default & removed all extensions. if you want to revert that, go to ''firefox > help > troubleshooting information'' and click on ''profile folder/show folder''. a windows explorer window should open up. now close all open firefox windows and replace all the contents of your current profile folder with the data that is stored inside the "old firefox data" folder on your desktop.
*the plugin check website isn't working at the moment - so the problem you're seeing here isn't on your end. hopefully this will be fixed soon on the server-side...

Dragging to the timeline doesn't work

Hi,
I've been using Premiere for 15 years now, and with the new cc I can't see, to drag footage from the project window to the timeline. What am I doing wrong? I've tried a native avi a jpeg and a wav created in audition with no luck. I just get the 'stop' icon.

Drag and drop video doesn't work

Why when I drag and drop a converted video to my Ipod in manual mode (it's not my main computer) can't I see or hear the video? It plays on the computer and the timeline on the Ipod moves but there is no picture or sound.
PLEASE HELP!

Try this. Start up Itunes. Click on Home Movies Videos in the movies section. If you have a movie her, right button click and select "Get Info". On the options tab, change the media kind to movie and select OK. Your other movies will slowly start to appear!
