DRAM slot usage on 1760 Voice router
I have a 1760 router with 96MB DRAM. Is there a way I can find out, without opening the router up, (1) how many slots there are for installing DRAM; and (2) which of the slots are occupied with DRAM and which are free?
I think with 1760, only one DIMM slot is available and in ur router, it is fixed with 64 MB RAM.This router already has 32MB on board by default; plus the 64Mb DIMM; total 96Mb.SO, to upgrade u may have to remove that 64MB and replae it with the memory size u want. But as of now, there is not any command that will tell you which banks or slota are filled for dram. They are looking into implamenting this in future ios's. But as of now there is no command.

Hi
You can have max of 128MB in both 1760 and 1760V models by default 1760V comes with 96MB.
I dont think its possible to view the DRAM slots or free slots available for use..

Voice Routing: Normalization Rule vs. Route
We're just testing some Enterprise Voice stuff within our Lync Environment but there's still one Thing not clear to me: On the specific user tab, we're able to assign a "Dial plan policy" and a "Voice policy"
In the Dial plan policy we're able to enter the normalization rules for Digit Manipulation.
In the Voice policy we can assign routes the call will take (e.g trunk).
But for example if there is a normalization rule which translates +402221111 to 1111 and on the route there are just numbers allowed starting with 1, why the call will fail? In my opinion the number should be translated to 1111 right after dialing and
this should match the proper route.
Can someone describe how the callflow is working in Detail. Will it maybe check for the specific route before there is any Digit Manipulation process?
Thanks in advanceTypically you'd do it the other way around, you'd translate 1111 to +402221111 so that it's in proper E.164 format, and you'd have your routes match that.
What you described should work though, at a very high non-mechanical level:
A number is typed into Lync
The number is normalized by the users dial plan (typically to a standard such as E.165)
The normalized number is compared against the voice policy, which will match if it finds a route that matches that's tied to the policy through a PSTN usage.
An INVITE is sent through the trunk using the path determined.
What kind of errors are you getting and do you get a "pass" in the Lync Control Panel -> Voice Routing -> Test Voice Routing when you enter the information? If not, you've got a typo or misconfiguration somewhere and giving more detail
will help.

TFTP error on 3925 intergrated voice router
We have a 3925 intergrated voice router that prompts this error cmapp_sccp_tftp_download_file: Unable to get configuration file size tftp://x.x.x.x/SKIGxxxxxx.cnf.xml, rc=-2
It gives the IP to our call manager then a mac address of analog gatway and extension pertaining to cnf.xml. The error runs when the router is connected to the network and also when it is not connected to the network. I have looked in the Cisco bug toolkit did not find a bug that was related to the issue. I check the tftp in the call manager there is no file of that type which there should not be. We have 3925s voice routers already registered to the call manager. Voice router information below:

Problems with my 1760 cisco router
Is possible to conect to Internet a 1760 Cisco router without VIC/WIC cards? My Cisco router don't have this cards and I am not able to understand his role in my network! (school network). Thank you.
Depends on your internet connection. If you use DSL/Cable Modem, you usually get an ethernet hand off. If you have T class connection, you'll have/need a WIC-1T or WIC-1T-DSU.

Macbook Pro crashed after express slot usage. MBP will not startup.
Hello,
My Macbook Pro (MBP) 17" core2duo 2.8Ghz. Snow Leopard OSX10.6.3.
I use my MBP's Express card slot to transfer SxS video cards, and sometimes connect to eSata drives.
With each usage it seems to be unstable. Often when trying to eject card or adaptor it crashes showing a, turn off and restart computer message.
So I would restart computer, and I continue on. I was kind of used to this,,,
But this time around, my system did not start up after the reboot. It showed a "non-smoking sign without the cigarette" Sorry I don't know what you calll these. I think it means can't find system folder?
I hope someone can point me to a fix.
I did a PRam reset about 3 times. but no change.
I did a safe boot, and ran disk utility permissions and there were pleanty of wrong permissions... So I fixed that twice, the same permissions seemed to be wrong again. I don't know if it really fixed anything...
And I also tried to set startup disk to the internal hard disk. I don't know if that really made a difference...
I then relaunched it as a disk drive to read it on another mac, and ran disk utilities and it reported nothing is wrong with this disk...
Will reverting back to a time machine save do anything? Might give it a try.
I remember way back when I bought this MBP, One of the first trial with the SxS gave me the same "non-" sign on startup, that I fixed. So I know there is a fix, I just couldn't find it on the forum.
I hope I get my MBP running soon!
Thanks in advance for the help!
Takeshi Fukushima...it crashes showing a, turn off and restart computer message...
That is called a Kernel Panic. More here.

Correct.
Solutions:
Disconnect all peripherals. Start the computer with the Option key pressed. After a few seconds you will see the availale bootable systems. select with the arrow keys and press Return. If you can get the OS to load, go here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399. Download and install the combo Update.. Restart as normal. -
I have an iMac7.1IntelCore2Duo2.4 GHz It had 1GB of DRAM from new. When I came to up grade DRAM to 2 GB in each slot so I couls upgrade to Lion I changed the active slot with no problem at all- it's running faster just with that. But when I came to put the 2nd DRAM in the empty slot it would not go in and when I looked carefully I could clearly see that the plastic ribbon which ejects DRAM in slot 2 was installed so as to prevent installation- it is attched so that it lies across the contacts! looks like a manufacuring error to me- has anyone else had the problem and how did you solve it? Any suggestions?

SPA 3102 Voice router and gateway
Hello, I was told to get this device but i do not know what is does and I did not find information on the Linksys website about its purpose. I am setting up a desktop PC as a webserver thru a cable conection that does not have a static IP. My understanding is that this device will cause it to behave like a static IP. Is this correct?
I followed the instructions to connected it but I don't know how to fine the "DNS" numbers to imput into the field
I am running Windows Vista Home edition as the OS. The server will run a voice response system.
Any suggestions.First of all, you can get the information for the device on this site.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10027/
This unit is part of Cisco-Linksys Small Business Voice Gateways and ATAS.
By the way, static IP has nothing to do with the SPA3102. If ever you'd like to setup a
webserver, it requires you to set a static IP on the server itself (IP of the PC) and at least a
Static IP for your WAN connection. WAN Static IP will be provided by your ISP and you need
to subscribe that IP from them.If in case your server requires you to open a port number for
the Server then that's the time you forward it to the router. -
Cisco 1760-V Route Table & VoIP
I have connected a 1760-V to a T1 (CCS) which serves the connection to the PSTN, and configured the ethernet port which will facilitate communications to an IP PBX.
Assuming the IP address of the IP PBX and the IP address assigned to the router's ethernet interface are on the same subnet, and further assuuming that a dynamic protocol will not be configured/required on the router, what static route entry will be required, if any? I am assuming a default static route entry would have to be configured, suggesting that all IP traffic should be sent to the IP PBX.
Thanks,
Derek FairleyI would tend to think this should work, if your 1760V is only dealing with PSTN traffic and not data traffic. With setting the default static route all traffic should be sent to your IP PBX as you mentioned.

Net usage causes arch based router soft freeze/hang (kind of)
My headless router hangs at some random intervals, mostly (as I've noticed) when I'm trying to upload larger files.
After some (random amount of) time the router becomes irresponsive, none of my LAN machines can reach the internet, not even ping the router.
The only thing that helps is to make any kind of physical access to the router, such as plugging in a keyboard, a USB device, or anything like that. After this action the machine is like "waking up", and continues to route the traffic as expected.
The sad thing is, I don't see anyithing in the journal. I'm not kidding, according to the journal nothing happened, a few times it just says "modem hangup" (I'm on adsl with rp-pppoe) , but the timestamp corresponds to the moment when I've plugged in a pendrive, for example (that means the moment of the wake-up).
Do you have any ideas what can cause such kind of behaviour? I've never seen something like this before.
the box has the following hardware:
VIA esther 800mhz Processor
512 MB of RAM (memtest shows no errors)
8GB CF Card
3 Realtek 8139 10/100 Mbps NICs
Last edited by scar (2015-02-23 12:56:52)My i7 rig is with a socket 1156 board, an Asus P7P55D mobo, and an 860 CPU. I know the Corsair DDR3 memory @ its stock 1.65v simply doesn't run at 1600mhz like it says on its box - 1333mhz seems to be its stability wall.
I upgraded my Q6600 and Asus P5B deluxe rig because so many people said to never consider overclocking on an editing rig. Was that over-cautious advice? -

I'm running the OS and most applications off a Seagate pATA 120GB attached to the motherboard ATA channel. It is new and of the 7200.9 model.
Is this an optimal arrangement? or does it matter?
Heatwise, the 50GB drive is warmer (and thicker) than the others, so I put it into the middle floor bay. It is an SCA type and has an adapter on it, which makes it close when the door is closed ... close to the main set of powercables that are bundled together towards the middle, and plugged into the motherboard. Maybe too close?
The ATA cable to the Maxtor and the SCSI cable to the Seagate SCA are clothes-pinned separately to neaten the cabling.
Any comments?
One additional observation: My external power light has 2+ levels of brightness as I power up the QS ... is this normal? or am I taxing the power supply (or is this a sign of a weak power supply)?
Mac Plus, Performa 6116, PPC 8500, 9500, QS 2@1GHz Mac OS X (10.3.9) 1.5GB RAMHere are some responses (to date) for the power consumptions:
Slot 1 GeForce4 MX (no information available from Apple, nVidia or other sources)
Slot 2
Slot 3 ATTO ExpressPCIProUL3d with 50GB Seagate (4.35 Watts/5V (ATTOTech))
Slot 4 Sonnet Trio FW/USB/ATA133 with Maxtor 60GB attached (<= 15 Watts (SonnetTech))
Slot 5 M-Audio 2496 (no response from M-Audio)
Assuming a maximum of 15 watts per card gives a max of 75 watts for the PCI bus.<br>
