Drawing a Line Series

Question

I am relatively new to flex charting and was wondering if
there was a way to somehow make the curve lineseries draw from left
to right. I am using an array collection as the data provider and
obtaining the values from a text file. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

A couple of things:
Could you post using "code" tags? They are described here: http://forum.java.sun.com/help.jspa?sec=formatting
The idea is that you put {code} at the start of your code and again at the end. That way your code remains readable when it appears in the forum.
For instance:
{code}if(tagsUsed) {
    outputGood = true;

will appear like:
if(tagsUsed) {
    outputGood = true;
}It's a good idea to use spaces rather than tabs to indent code.
Secondly, the CSAGraphicLib class is not part of the standard Java distribution. So the first place to find out using it is the documentation that came with that class. If you can't understand it then someone here might be able to help - but you should at least post what it says about the drawLine() method, otherwise we are just guessing.
how do you get both positive and negative way?That said, my guess would be that you use a mixture of "+10" and "-10". If you start at (x,y) and move 10 units in the horizontal and vertical directions, there are four places you could end up. You might be able to reach them with one of:CSAGraphicLib.drawLine( x, y, x-10, y-10);
CSAGraphicLib.drawLine( x, y, x-10, y+10);
CSAGraphicLib.drawLine( x, y, x+10, y+10);
CSAGraphicLib.drawLine( x, y, x+10, y-10);
how do you know when to stop adding or subtracting 10?In your case you are starting from (10,20) and trying to get to (36,-60). Notice that the difference in the x-coordinates is positive: 36-10=+26. Stop adding (because +ve) when the difference becomes negative.  That is after three such additions 36-40=-4.
Likewise in the vertical direction -60-20=-80 so you would subtract and keep doing so until -60-(-60)=0 where the difference stops being negative.
(I don't understand your problem exactly, but it could get more difficult: you might want to get as close as possible, and you might have to deal with tricky cases where you start quite close in the horizontal direction but far away in the vertical one.)
