Drawing beyond the stage and saving in pdf

I drawn beyond the stage in Illustrator CS6 and i saved the file in .pdf with the possibility to change it again in Illustrator. Now i can't open it in Illustrator CS6 (two different files same error). I can open the files only in Illustrator CS5 but i can see only the stage. I'd like some suggestion, Thanks.

So you saved with the option "Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities" turned on?
Did you edit the resulting PDF file in another application afterwards?

The resolution of the linked .psd will be depend on if you scale it after placing (the Effective PPI) and your settings in the Export dialog, where you can choose to both downsample and or compress the image, or do neither.
1 GB is a pretty large image. Can you tell us more about it, and what the intended output is? I used to work with images that large on occasion for printing wall-size output, but I'm not sure you would need anything like that kind of size for poster-size and smaller.

for the moment you can Forcequit, as Eustace said.
Really quit a program you do by clicking the menu bar of the program where its name is, on the bottom you see "Quit (appname)"; when it is in the Dock, rightclick it in the Dock and choose "Quit".
Now about yout attachment: it does not matter what you did to it and where you moved it, as long as Preview is still open it doesn't let it go.

Are you still using iphoto?
If so you should NOT move the iphoto library to the TC and use it.
Apple says you will corrupt the library doing this.

Now what I cannot tell you is if the same rules apply to the new photo app. Apple might have fixed the problem.
For iphoto you should offload the photos to USB drive plugged into your computer.. or any external drive.. the faster the interface the better.
Apple have explicit instructions for moving the library.

Just drag the song(s) to iTunes, if they are one of these formats (wav, m4a, mp3, mp4, wma etc) and they will appear under Music library.
If you have lots of music files, put them in a folder and go iTunes menu FILE, Add folder to library..... to add this folder at one go.

Help with working on Word files that were created in Framemaker and saved as PDF

Please help. I was given a pdf from a vendor that they created in Framemaker. The pdf was 2+MB. I saved it as a Word doc so I could delete sections that I don't need for our folks but the file is saving at over 20MB (after I deleted a lot of pages from it). It is so large that I cannot even email it. I've tried to zip it and also convert it back to a pdf and in both cases the file only decreases by a few hundred KB while still leaving it over 20+MB. Any idea how I can work this file to take the sections I need without it creating such a large file size? Thank you. Brian

The contractual requirements between the vendor and your company may be the key. The contract may or may not discuss whether the vendor's permission to modify the material includes an obligation to make the documents usable. "Usable" may be construed to mean providing original files. If the vendor is required to provide originals, they may or may not be required to provide them in a common format, like MS Word, rather than the proprietary FrameMaker format they use. Their providing a PDF may completely satisfy their obligation; your lawyers may be helpful here.

Adobe Acrobat Pro won't edit document created by Illustrator 2 and saved as PDF

I've tried multiple things, but can't get Acrobat Pro to edit text within a PDF file which was created by Illustrator cs2 "Accumulated text within the attempted selection area is rotated other than horizontal or vertical. Touchup cannot create a text selection area.". I've searched google, read help....
Fix was to download NitroPDF. It quickly and easily edited the text. So why won't Adobe do it...

The same thing happens with pdf files that are not zip files even if saved from Acrobat Pro on my computer.

You may scan by using the HP ePrint Home and Biz app.
Below you may find the steps to get the App:

Set the scan as Document and it will be saved as PDF.
You may also share the scanned files from the app.

Opening files automatically in VBA and saving to PDF, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

I have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and I want to ask if there is any possibility to open automatically files in Adobe by VBA (Word files, Excel, etc.) and save them to PDF? Or maybe it is a possibility to print them with Adobe PDF Printer? If there is something like that can you give me a sample of code?

I already download Acrobat SDK before, but it's really complicated for someone who know only VBA at intermediate level.
I really plan to learn javascripts and COM in future, but I was thinking that if I ask you for I guess easy think (opening files and saving them to pdf) you will help by giving similar code or some clues.
Anyway I found this two methods in documentation: PDDoc.Save and PDDoc.Open and I believe that a combination of them can finally help me. Do you know how I can connect them to one part?

Imported SWF showing the things beyond the stage of the file

Hi, I need help.....fast
I have two older ( 2002 ) projects I have done in flash, have opened and reworked one in CS5
1st) is a banner animation document size 468 x 60 pixels, I have text that is flying in from way off stage.
2nd) is another animation using some photo images with movie clips, sound 800 x 600 pixels, this also has elements off the stage that fly in.
I am currently building a portfolio website for myself in Flash Catalyst,
(I'm not code literate).......anyway, that is working out great so far, the overall site is.......
950 x 800 inside that I have given a stage area for my work to show....that is just a shape in black that is 572 x 395
My problem:
When I test the movie in flash they both play every thing is fine.
When I import the SWF files into Flash Catalyst and place them where I want them to be and I " Run Project" the only thing going wrong is that all the stuff that usually does not show that is " off stage" in the grey area is visible.
How do I have the off stage stuff in the SWF files disapear and not change the visuals of the original or block out the backround layout creating in Flash Catalyst.

I'll try recompiling it tonight in a few different ways to see if anything changes. I'm testing entirelly on the local drive.Still haven't tried uploading anything from that project to the web.
Just a s note - the swf is entirely powered by the two .as files (because it just renders some words from an xml) so maybe there might be an issue if the file doesn't really contain much (although i tried putting some colored boxes inside and it didn't help).
I'll post links to the .fla and the .as files later today.

I think it is normal for books to take longer when they include multiple big size reports. I had a similar problem at a client. We ended up not including all the reports in one book and create several books instead. In another situation, we scheduled batches and the books ran automatically. This way, the users just received an email with the whole book in one pdf instead of running it on an ad-hoc basis and wait for the outcome.

Transform Gradient Tool center pt keeps appearing on the left edge of the stage and it's annoying..

I'm editing gradients in small areas. When I want to edit the gradient fill of a small shape, I have to zoom all the way out because the center of the gradient is on the left edge of the stage somewhere. I'm getting a little tired of dragging the center point over to the small area requiring the fill.
Occasionally the Transform Gradient Tool will appear within the zoomed in area I'm working in but I'm unsure why! Any tips out there my friends?

Submit program to send a smartform to the spool and obtain a PDF

Hi all,
I wanna know if there is a way to submit (execute) a program that print a smartform for print this smartform to the spool and then obtain a PDF file from the spool order.
I wanna do this because the program that allows to print the smartform is already implemented and its logic is complicated, and I need to get the smartform as a PDF to show it into a WDP Java application.
If it's posible to do this, could you explain me how can I do it?
