Drawing document in Production Order

Hi,
My scenario is as follows -
There is a drawing  number for each material produced in-house.
So when we are making a production order (manually or thru MRP) for each in-house produced material,
I want the drawing document to automatically appear in the production order. The drawing document
should also appear in the print out of the production order.
This is needed so that the shop floor people can refer to the correct drawing while executing the production order.
I am using document type - DRW
In the schedulling  profile i have checked - Document links to BOM and also Material
Kindly advise, how to go about this problem.
Regards,

Dear,
For linking a document to production order, The prerequisite is do some customizing in SPRO.
SPRO-->cross-application components>Document management>control data--> document types  in the document type you have to establish a object link to the document type and production orders.
So select a document type and Define object link ---define a object --PORDER with screen 251 and save.
Then goto production---Shop floor control --- master data --production schedul.profile
and enable - document links material or Bom on release or creation.
Then create a document using CVo1n.
Provide the document type and name then enter
In the next screen give the document description and below the originals sub header click on the OPEN Originals.
Here you select your document and attach then save the document.
Now got to Co02 and select the Document overview icon(Next to component overview icon) and provide the details of the operation to which the document to be attached and save.
Document is attached to the Production order.
Else Pressgo to CO02 and press SHIFT + F7..... then you can attach a document to a production order there manually also.

  • BAPI for material documents by production order

I'm looking for a BAPI that will provide the list of material documents for a given production order. This is similiar to the functionality provided by the COOIS transaction using: "Documented Goods Movements" as the list type. I've looked at BAPI_GOODSMVT_GETITEMS. However this BAPI does not contain a method to select by production order.

  • Unreleased documents in Production Order

    Hi,
We need to avoid unreleased documents from DMS getting populated in Production Orders. We have objects links to Material master and BOM from where production order pulls up documents attached. Can anyone help me on this?
    Thanks,

You could go into SQVI and create a report that shows all materials on a BOM that has unreleased documents in it. I am trying to create a report that shows this - I need to find out where the table is that creates the Production Order BOM
    I do know this:
The documents status is under TDWST and you will want all open production orders where the "document status" is below whatever number your company decided on to say "unreleased."
    Thanks,

    Kumar,
Though it is not very clear, but I suspect that the sales order is assigned with a Profit center, which is different from the one which is assigned to the material master costing view of material 20053567. I better suggest you take the help of FICO guy in this regard.

  • Document attachment to BOM and has to be viewed in Production Order too.

Can any body give the detailed procedure for attachment of Drawing Doc to BOM and it should be viewed

    MDSFR

    Dear MDSFR,
I'm not sure whether the system will disply the document directly in the production order, but you can check the list of
documents in the production order in the document overview and assuming the documents are created with a proper document
type and attached in the BOM of the product(production order header material) as document items with category "D".
    Check these links,

  • DMS Document Link in production Order

    Hi,
When we create a production order and save it after releasing ,it prints orginal copy of shop paper . I am able to print shoppaper but it does not contain Documents present in prod. order. We are fetching this documents from DRAD table in associated ADOBE form driver program.
But when i reprint the prod. order , i can see documents in shop paper.
Reason is that DRAD table is not getting updated at that time. i Tried to look for runtime structures but not able to the appropriate value. There is one internal table whihc stores this value but it shows values only when i see its value through debugger else no value comes into it.
So,if anyone could help that how to get documents number present in prod. order at the time of creation.
Does somebody knows suitable runtime structure or How to handle delay database update or if there is some other way to do it.
    Please provide some inputs.
    Thanks

    Hi Mayank,
Kindly find following link. I think you need to make a object link of documents with production order first then you can use these documents for various reports:

  • Production order change document

    Hi experts,
Can anybody please tell me where I can get change document for production order.
I have first created order & then saved it. Later on I changed BOM component quantity.I didn't get any change document in GOTO--Change document. Where I faced message - No change process found for order 1000470.
    Please help.

    Hi,
You will be able to get change documents, if you're working with Order Change Management. If not, then you will not be able to get the same.
For OCM, you would need to configure the profile in OPL7 & OPL9, assign the same in material master. Then you will be able to manage changes via COCM.
To understand better, refer to the link

  • Production order created through procurement wizard but purchase order connected in SO

    SBO Localization: Korea
    SBO Version:SAP Business One 8.82 (8.82.073) PL: 10
Production order created through procurement confirmation wizard on the base of sales order. In sales order "Procurement document" field production order number showing correct. But if click on document arrow then same number of purchase order opening where as we expect that production order should open. This is something like connection bug. This happens only if sales order approval workflow is active. In relationship map we can see production order is connected. See details in attached pic.
I have also tested this case in Belgium localization the result is almost same. The difference is only if clicked on procurement document number arrow (from sales order document) then different number of purchase order opens.
Is this known issue? Could someone please provide me the solution?

It is application error. Please check SAP note:

  • Object Links fields grey for Production Order,BOM header,BOm item

    Hello Friends,
    1) In DMS Object links tab ,for objects BOM header,BOM item,Production order fields are grey even though necessary settings are done. Is this standard or I am missing some config.
I did the similar settings for other objects like material master, vendor master, claim etc and I am able to assign these objects in Object links tab.
    2) In Production order I can assign the existing document but can't create document from Production order.I maintain value 1 in img Maintain screen for object link --> Auth.
Define doc type --> Define object links --> create document = 2 ( Use Transaction to Create Document)
I can create a document from other objects like Material Master,Claim,PO,PR with similar settings.

As u right said this is a standard.
generally a document can be attched from the function T-code or from the DMS T-code cvo1n, through the object link tab page. * BOTH WAYS POSSIBLE*
but for BOM, production order it is only one way, u can attach at the function T-code level like co01....ect  ONLY ONE WAY
especially for PP transation, its one way

  • Add diagram to print with production order

    Hello Gurus,
We had a request come from one of our production areas to add a diagram of the case pack configuration that differs with every customer. I'm wondering what the quickest/easiest way to implement this would be. Right now, I'm the only one tasked with this assignment but will most likely have to pull more people in.
    Thanks,
    Nick

    HI Nicholas,
    This is interesting.
All I can think as of now is, create Sales BoMs and attach documents to the BOM header, and see if you can pull these Documents into Production order.
even I want to listen other ideas.

  • How do I insert a document in a production order?

    Hi
Does anyone know how I can insert a document in a production order on the "Document Links"?
I have a assembly drawing that I would like to be printed on release.

    Hi,
As rightly said you can have the documents or document links in material master or in BOM. But if you prefer to have the documents attached to Document links in production order, you can assign those documents to the operation of production order and remember to maintain the document link activated for production order (PORDER) for the document type.
    Thanks.
