Dreaded "Unable To Allocate Enough Memory To Render" error message.

My system:
OSX Yosemite Version 10.10.2
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, late 2013)
Processor: 2.6 Ghz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB
Running Adobe After Effects CC Version 13.2.0.49
My composition windows are 1920x1080 and I'm using 23.976 fps
Here are my error messages, and screenshots of my settings: https://www.flickr.com/photos/83773582@N00/17292326725/
Background
The composition that includes assets that seem to be causing the problem is in 3D, with a camera. There's a portion where the camera zooms in, which causes a few of the 1920X1080 assets to extend beyond the composition window. Maybe this is the problem? However, I have found that these error messages come up at different frames at different times. Sometimes they render ok, sometimes they don't. But I can't get a full render of the entire allotted render space.
I wasn't having any problems until I applied CC Light Burst 2.5 to one of my assets yesterday, accidentally typing in a number for the intensity and ray length that was HUGE. This caused after effects to freeze, although I was able to save. I went back into after effects and deleted the CC Light Burst Effect from that particular asset, but am still having render problems.
My questions:
1. A lot of these error messages are gibberish to me. Does anyone know if there is a way to interpret these error messages to locate the problem within my After Effects project quickly?
2. If it turns out that the CC Light Burst 2.5 effect was the problem that kicked this all off, while I have to my knowledge deleted this effect from the layer I had it placed on, could it still somehow be active?
3. Is there a way to search for an effect and see which layers in your composition are currently utilizing that effect? Maybe I placed the CC Light Burst on another layer by accident and didn't realize it.
Thanks for the support guys. This forum is a life-saver!

I don't know who labeled your post as a "correct answer".  Yes, you did indeed correctly answer one of my questions, but the heart of the matter was left unsolved.
Nevertheless, Adobe After Effects Version 13.2.0.49 was the problem. Stupid updates wasting my time and money. Annoying.
Reverting to 13.0.0.214 made everything work like a charm. Adobe After Effects: don't lie to me and tell me I have memory problems, when it's your issue. Thanks for costing me a few hundred bucks. God I love being on a high horse.  I'm bitter and entitled.  Deal with it.

  • Unable to allocate enough memory to render the current frame

I am a bit of a novice at AE, just starting to learn. I have googled this, searched these forums and tried all I can think of. No luck. SO I will ask here.
I bought this AE file  http://videohive.net/item/-earth-zoom-customize/6451983
Here is the error message I get when trying to render
After Effects error: Unable to allocate enough memory to render the current frame (18172 x 18172 @ 8 bpc). Either decrease the memory requirements for the rendering of this frame, or install more RAM. (12805). For more information, see adobe.com/learn_ae_mem (7 :: 66)
I even tried to render the project without making any changes. No luck
    My info:
    Macbook pro 15” Mid 2012
    OSX 10.9.2
Processor 2.6 ghz intel core i7
    Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
    Running AE CC 12.2.1.5
First thought, Is my laptop inadequate for this type of work?
When it says - (18172 x 18172 @ 8 bpc) is that the resolution it's trying to output? The project is 6 seconds long and 1920x1080 resolution.
I can render it at half resolution, but not at the 1080 res.
    Thanks for your help.

Purged cache, set it to purge every 5 frames ... no luck. Purge every frame ... no luck.
I tried disabling different parts of the clip to render. No luck until I disabled the inner shadow of the globe, and it seems to work.
What should your purge setting be normally for this ap? I think it was set to "0". SHould I move it back to 0?
    Thanks for your help.

  • After Effects Unable to Allocate Enough Memory to Render Current Frame/ MeshWarp problem.

    Hello,
I am currently working with 17 layers in AE- CC 2014.1.1 (13.1.1)  Most of the layers have multiple effects, including the "Mesh Warp,"- which happened to have been freezing my computer constantly.  I finally had to change computers... First, I was unable to render these layers, because there is not enough memory space. So I went back to editing. After adding a couple of video layers, I went to play back, and got the above message:  "After Effects Unable to Allocate Enough Memory to Render Current Frame"
I changed my "cache" folder to my external hard drive. I also upped the cache space from 23MB to 50MB. But I am still getting this error.
In terms of the Mesh warp: Once i brought the effect to the video file, and tried to move the grid, I got the rainbow spinny ball. It went away after a while. As soon as I clicked on ANYTHING- i got the wheel again. This continued until I "Forced Quit." I don't know what thats about...
This is the info for the Composition Settings/ computer I am working on. i am trying to give as much information as possible. This is for my Senior Thesis! Can anyone please help me ASAP?
    Best,
    Julia

What are these layers you're working with? What size? What format? What Codec? What color space?
What happens if you turn on Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously (reserving at least one core for other programs)?

I assume you mean GB, not MB...
What happens if you save to version 12 and try to work on it there? (If you don't have an older version installed, try it: Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps)
Have you tried rebooting your machine recently? Do other programs/apps//software run normally?

  • AE CC 2014 - Error: Unable to allocate enough memory to render the current frame 7 :: 66

    Hello,
    AE CC 2014 13.0.2
Error while rendering a 3840 x 2160 Quicktime movie in AE CC 2014. Always gets to about 16 seconds of the 30 second render and fails. One layer in the animation is 5000 x 5000, big but certainly not a problem in the past with AE CC and 64GB of ram.
Have not had this problem on AE CC or my previous Mac Pro.
    Current MAC PRO:
Tried adjusting ram, purging, setting "clear frames" under the secret menu. Disk cache set to 128GB.
Here are a few more strange things:
If I have MAX ram set to 52 GB how is AE using 100% of 64 GB?

OK. So, here's what happened in AE CC 12.2.1.5 using my 5000 x 5000 Quicktime source files in the project. Failed. Error 7 :: 66 again.
Happened at approximately the same time 16:06 of 30:00.
I watched at RAM data at the bottom as it rendered. The % kept climbing as it rendered. When it got to 80-82% of 64GB it leveled off, then it would go from 82% to 81% to 80% then back up to 81%. Looked like AE was regulating the amount of RAM used. But it steadily kept rendering with very little slowing. Then around 12 seconds (comp time) it went past 82% and climbed all the way to 100% of 64GB RAM and failed. Seems to do the same in AE CC 2014 13.0.2.
3000 x 3000 source Quicktimes work ok and don't go past the regulated % of RAM. Seems strange and a shame though. Obviously AE can handle the large resolution source video files. If I was rendering a 10 second file movie I'd be golden and the error would most likely never happen. We are doing lots of 4K for up coming TV projects so the higher resolutions will be very important.
    Thoughts?
Any other tests I can run to help sort this out?

  • ORA-29855 - Unable to allocate shared memory

    Hi,
We are encountering troubles (unable to allocate shared memory) while indexes creation. We tried to increase the share_size_memory (actually 52 mb) but this had no effect on this error. The Oracle error code is ORA-29855.
The database is version 8.1.7, hosted on a Linux machine (RedHat 7.2) with 512 mb of memory. The code used for the index creation works fine on other machines (code from 9iAS Wireless installation) running with Windows 2000 as operation system.
Any help or comment will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Fabrice Clari.
    The error message is:
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine
ORA-13200: internal error [ROWID:AAAGDwAAFAAAAvjAAA] in spatial indexing.
ORA-13206: internal error [] while creating the spatial index
ORA-13011: value is out of range
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kope2ucoll700], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 16396 bytes of shared memory ("large pool","unknown object","koh-kghu sessi","kolcalm coll")
    ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_INDEX_METHOD", line 8
    ORA-06512: at line 1

Which portion of shared memory did you increase? The error indicates you need to increase large_pool_size. It seems you may also have other problems since you have several errors, and this only relates to the ORA-04031 error.

  • Livetype "Not enough memory to render a frame"

I'm doing some really easy (fade in, fade out) text for an instructional video in Livetype. My first problem was nesting the .ipr files in final cut and rendering. When I rendered and compressed to DVD one frame of each 7 second clip flashed
"unrendered" So naturally I tried to go back in Livetype and render each text sequence individually. Now it's giving me an error "Not enough memory to render a frame"? Now my machine has 8GBs of memory and I've got 80+GB of hard drive space to work with. Can anyone help me out here?

Sorry, guys, never seen this error in LT.
Mac error boxes are rarely accurate, they're just thrown up by some weird parsing routine, so, unless you can actually feel like the error is relevant, most of us don't bother trying to debug based on the box's description.
I hope you find a solution and please come back to close the thread if you do. It will be very helpful for future "out of memory" searches.

  • SAP DBTech JDBC: [4]: cannot allocate enough memory: Out of memory

    Hello,
I am currently experiencing this error when making request to the Hana database via jdbc : SAP DBTech JDBC: [4]: cannot allocate enough memory: Out of memory
I guess I am running out of space, so I wanted to delete some data from unused tables. The problem is that I cannot connect with Studio anymore "Error when connecting to system".
Is there another way to delete data from some tables when getting this particular error ?
Does anyone experienced such a situation ?
    Thank you,
    Benoît

    Hi Benoit,
Please plan to migrate to the latest version from Rev 38 before 1 year license expires in Rev 38 in Oct 2013. You need to export your content and import in the latest version.
As you are aware, a lot of bugs are fixed between Rev 38 and the newer releases along with new SPS5 features  and HANA One is adding new web based management features in each HANA One release which does not need SSH to stop|start HANA as it can be done in browser starting in Rev 52 (check out The specified item was not found.for additional info). Please stay tuned for the upcoming version which will have additional management features to manage your instance.
    Thanks,
    Swapan

  • Filter DLL couldn't allocate enough memory error while exporting word to pdf on linux

    Hi,
    I have downloaded PDF export 8.4.1 Linux(x86-64) version and I ran makedemo.sh
after that I modified the 'exepath' to my demo folder on default.cfg file and I am running ExportTest.sh by passing the micro soft document file and converting to pdf. I am also passing the pdf file name as second parameter and the third parameter is default.cfg file.
I am getting the following error "Conversion Error: filter DLL couldn't allocate enough memory:".
Am I missing any settings or should i allocate the memory anywhere?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
    It says:

After updated to iTunes 11.1.4 for windows vista , I was unable to open iTunes and it keep error message. My iphone unable to USB hotspot the internet to computer. Pls Help

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
