Dreamweaver 2014.1 Live view is showing old version of file

I'm running Window 7 (64-bit) and upgraded from Dreamweaver CC 2014 to 2014.1 a couple days ago.  Since I'm using fluid grid design view is not available, so when I view my files in Live view Dreamweaver (DW) is showing very old versions when I edit some files (not all).  When I use split view the code is correct, but it doesn't correspond at all to what I'm seeing in Live View. The code window shows the current version of the file and the live view window shows an old version. Any idea?  Also, live view in this new version seems to be extremely slow.
Another question is, how can I re-install the old version (CC 2014)?  I tried to uninstall and re-install, but the install automatically installs 2014.1 and doesn't give an option. Thus far, I am very unhappy with what I've seen so far in 2014.1 and would really like to back off 2014 to speed things up.
Thanks much

Hi Preran.
I seam to have the same problem on a Mac. Also Live view keeps crashing and linked to Adobe BC.
If the live view crashes then the live view is showing an older version on the CSS file until I do a refresh. Its been driving me Nuts!
Also the CSS file is no longer automatically uploading to Adobe CC...
So I really could do with a solution for me to run on CC 2014.0 Please.
I am a subscriber to CC.
Cheers Jake

  • How do I use Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 Live View to copy complex formatted text into web page?

Since Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid Layouts, and could be removed completely in next upgrade, I cannot use Live View to place complex text into my web pages.
Our business requires the listing of complex job descriptions on our web pages.  Design View worked fine, Live View does not. Both examples are noted below.

Obviously, as seen above, I'm doing something wrong or Live View does not do all the functions that Design View use to do.  I realize I can still access Design View in non-Fluid Grid Layout documents and that is my current work-around.  I copy from my Word file into Design View available in non-Fluid, then copy that code into my Fluid Grid Layout document, not real efficient use of my time.  And, even that work-around may not be available after the next upgrade.

Hans thank you for your reply and attention to this matter.  Moreover, with your steeped expertise I do not, in any fashion, intend to be flippant or capricious.
However, I do not believe the reply is on point since I'm not discussing the insertion of an HTML tag/element; but rather, the placing of complex formatted text into my various web pages.
Design View and  2014.1 Live View seem to serve different functions.  That is, Design View, for us, serves as a highly sophisticated HTML5 code generator that allows us to properly display complex formatted text that originally is created as a Word docx file.  As I noted in my original post, the complex formatted text from the Word file is then pasted into Design View and thus properly renders on the web page.  I invite you to try this yourself.  Simply copy my properly formatted text in my original post (that can be found at "Using Design View the web page rendered this way:") to a Word file, and it will retain the complex formatting, then copy that Word file text to both Design View and  2014.1 Live View files.  Please apprise me of your results.
Discussion has been had in at least two separate threads on the Design View disappearance in Fluid Grid.  In https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1597260 staff member Lalita wrote "It would be helpful for us if you list the issues you are seeing with fluid grid live view editing."  And in https://forums.adobe.com/message/6807088#6807088 staff member Subhadeep wrote "If you can list down the workflows you are trying while editing in Live View & the issues you are facing in doing so, it will help us understand what is amiss & suggest alternative workflows to do the same."  I believe I've pointed out issues when attempting to use Live View for functions or work flow that customarily had been done in Design View.
Being a CC subscriber, if someone can provide me with a workflow using other additional Adobe products to get my complex formatted text from Word ultimately to my Dreamweaver web page, be it an image insert or whatever, I would take the suggestions.
The difference in the coding of my example in my original post is as follows.

It is readily apparent that Design View is a much needed code generator in the Dreamweaver product.  Live View serves completely other, and needed, purposes.  Therefore, I still, after all the forum discussions, do not understand why Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid.
Again Hans thank you for your reply.  But unless I'm missing something, citation to the links you provided does not solve my problem.  And that problem is this: If Design View is on its way out and thus will be completely removed from Dreamweaver at some point, then how do I provide my information (i.e. complex executive job descriptions) on my website?
Apparently a vote is taking place https://forums.adobe.com/ideas/3922 on the issue of placing Design View back into Fluid Grid.  I do not understand why the need for two rather disjunctive functionalities are at the mercy of the democratic process.  These are matters of engineering principles not "town hall gatherings".

  • Content presenter to show old version of a document.

We are using content presenter to show content from UCM. In one case we want to show old version of document. We want to pass document-name and rev-label to content presenter and would like to show that particular version only.
Content presenter take datasource as parameter but I believe I can only pass doc-name to it and it will always show latest document. Is it correct?
I am fine if someone can provide cmis query to retrieve one particular version.
    Thanks
    Sanjeev.

I was also thinking on similar line but problem is ora:t:IDC:GlobalProfile returns only latest versions.
Let say my doc-name is HC_AP_HELP_DOC, I put following query
    SELECT * FROM ora:t:IDC:GlobalProfile WHERE ora:p:dDocName = 'HC_AP_HELP_DOC' ;
It correctly show the latest version. If I put additional condition of revision-no as 'SELECT * FROM ora:t:IDC:GlobalProfile WHERE ora:p:dDocName = 'HC_AP_HELP_DOC' and ora:p:dRevLabel = '3'', it workds only for revision 3, because that is the latest one. If I change version no to 1 or 2, it does not show anything. I believe its all because version 1 and 2 are not selected by ora:t:IDC:GlobalProfile so additional filter can not do anything.
Do we have any select query which can return all versions of document?
    Thanks
    Sanjeev

  • Downloaded latest VLC Web Plugin ver but Firefox still show old version

Downloaded VLC Web Plugin Version 2.0.5.0 and rebooted and restarted Firefox.
Firefox Plug Ins still shows old version 2.0.2.0.
When I check Firefox for latest version is says 2.0.2.0 is the latest and I'm up to date.
When I open VLC as a standalone it comes up as version 2.0.5.0.
Why is Firefox not incorporating the correct version?

Try to delete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder and maybe addons.sqlite as well to reset the plugin registry databases.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder

  • Versioning - what folder keeps old versions of files?

    Hi!
Here's the thing - I have reinstalled the Mountain Lion and used Migration Assistant to restore my user profile from a clone of my previous installation. I got all my personal documents/photos/music/videos back, but lost all versioning info for each document.
I still have the clone of my previous installation on an external drive. I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a manual way to restore old versions of files.
    Thanks!

Hi. Thanks for the answers. I now see why the versions didn't copy together with the user profile - they reside on the root of the drive. D'oh! Wish I knew that before. Maybe then I could have carried that folder over as soon as I was done with the installation. I now have way too many new .pages documents and there is indeed no way I could merge the two DocumentRevisions-V100 folders at this point. Hopefully Apple fixes this in the future so that the versioning folder is kept within the user folder so that it can get transfered over with a new installation/machine.
Thanks again for the help guys!

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5 live view problems

1.) As described in this Thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3204440#3204440 the Live View is very slow, when edit/design a php-page which uses external css files
2.) The live view does not support/show css3 tags, e.g. box-shadow or border-radius, altough the css-panel knows these tags. it is necessary to open the page in a local browser or in multiscreen-preview to see the design.
3.) The live view does not render the jqeury-mobile layout.

    -Live View is very slow?
Only when the page contains CSS/JavaScript interactions.
-Live view does not support/show css3 tags?
    Correct.
-Live view does not render the jqeury-mobile?
Actually, it does. You need, however, to choose a local path option for
    the scripts.
Dreamweaver is a marvelous program, but like everything else made with
human hands and minds - it's not perfect. Live View is a very misleading
feature - actually, the only folks I know who find it useful are
beginners (who believe it works) and authors who write books and
tutorials that teach how to use it. It's worth at least one chapter of
    filler
The only truth a novice should pull out of this topic is that when
testing a web page, the only reliable test is that which involves real
    browsers.

i'm having this problem with my jquey mobile pages, when i preview in firefox the links works perfectly but when i use the live view in dreamweaver some of the links do not work. i'm passing url parameters from one page to to other.

    Hi Ezzuah1,
If they are working fine in all the browsers that you test, and not in Live view, I wouldn't worry too much.
    Thanks,

  • Viewing old version Keynote file on iPhone?

Can iPhone view Keynote files generated by old version of Keynote?
I have Keynote v. 2.0.2. I emailed the files (including a one-page file to test) to myself using gmail but they were all unreadable. Using FileMagnet resulted in the same results.
    Thanks for any suggestion.

Do you have another email account on your iPhone you can try? Just in case the Gmail server is somehow affecting the attached file.
I know the iPhone will read files created with iWork '08.

  • CProjects 4.5: Show old versions of approvals

    Hello Experts,
is it possible to display the old versions of an approval document from cProjects. We use the standard implementation of the approval process and form DPR_APPROVAL_HIER.
The problem is, in cProjects i can only see the actual version of the approval document. We want have the possibility to compare the actual version with the last version of the approval document.
I didn't find any note or forum thred to this problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Christian

Thank you for the link to the old versions! It's great!
The version link did show me how the program was updated but does not tell me at what point system 10.1.5 is no longer supported. Is there another way to find this out before I start downloading (I'm on dial-up you see... yep, one day I will get modern technology, but only once i can afford it!)
    Thanks again!

  • CF7 showing old versions of pages

I have seen a strange problem several times over the last
year or so - the page being shown on the site is suddenly not the
correct version, but an old version from more than a year ago.
    The home page
    http://www.stavangertravel.com/index.cfm
changes at least 40 times a year, with new events and news items.
Today it is showing a version of the page from early September
2006, even though the files on the server are from 24 October 2007.
This has happened several times, and I noticed last time that
the Recycle bin contained a number of old files - from September
    2006 - including 2 ofthe pages I knew I was having problems with. I
emptied the recycle bin, restarted the CF Application service and
everything was fine - until now.
The problem can be cleared by either uploading the files
again, or just by restarting the CF App service.
The big problem is that I have over 1000 pages on this site,
and only by luck will I know when I have a problem.
    Any ideas?
Anyone else seen such strange behavior?
I will upload a new version of the page soon.
This last happened at halloween, which seemed appropriate,
but now the joke is wearing thin
    John

Well, it happened again - the home page and one of the other
problem pages were back to September 2006 just now.
I have now uploaded the correct versions again.
Perhaps I should make clear - the version I upload is exactly
the same as the one already on the server (i.e. the correct one).
It is a way to make the system start showing the correct page
    again.
The other way to do this is to restart the CF App service,
which I don't want to do, if possible.
The problem is not that the files are being overwritten, it
is that the pages being shown by the coldfusion application server
    are (sometimes) the wrong ones.
I think the answer to this problem lies in understanding exactly
how Coldfusion MX7 takes pre-compiled files in the web folders and
uses them to display pages. How are they cached? Maybe someone from
    Adobe might like to comment?
One other thing I will try is uploading a file that is not
precompiled, just in case that will help narrow it down.
This is not an unimportant abstract issue - the home page now
has prominent links to a ski guide that were not there in September
2006 - it is hurting the business

  • Updated agent show old version

    Hi,
I have just updated DPM from 2012 to 2012 R2. everything went well and i have patched it it the latest rollup 4.2.1235.
I updated the agents ok, but I have a few workgroup machines. I updated the agent on the workgroup server and they are showing the correct version from the protected server, but DPM still says it is the old version 4.1. have refreshed the console and restarted
the DPM and protected server but it did not help.
    any ideas?

  • Where exactly are old versions of files stored on the harddisk?

The way the new versions-feature works is actually too magical for me. For sake of control I want at least to know, where all those old versions of documents are actually stored on my harddisk. With that knowledge perhaps further questions like how to delete old versions become redundant.

yep, ur right. my dream of distributing versions of documents all in one file are dashed. When you copy a versioned document to another machine you get this:
And guess what - there was a message initially where the "No previous..." is that said, and get this,  "Retrieving versions from TimeMachine." So that's how they are doing it folks.
Implications? Smoke and mirrors or true innovation?

  • Download complete binery file executed but still showing old version of start page

I have been having this problem for a while, I update with the newer version of Mozilla firefox, 9.0.1 executable file, download the file, execute the binery file, run the update, when all is complete firefox asks to open the start page and the old firefox start page is still showing telling me that my version is no longer supported by google

If you have install 9.0.1 version, you have useragent problem, because your useragent tell us that you have 3.5.5 version (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/'''3.5.5''' ).
check the version in '''Help''' then '''About firefox''', if you have 9.0.1 see how to fix user agent: in [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Websites%20or%20add-ons%20incorrectly%20report%20incompatible%20browser Websites or add-ons incorrectly report incompatible browser ] find '''Reset your user agent''' and follow the steps.
    thank you

  • Still shows old version after installation of new one

    HI
I upgraded jdk 1.4 to jdk 1.6.But whenever i used cmd like java - version it is showing same old one as jdk 1.4 can anyone is help me out in this case.
    thanks
    sachin

I think this is wrong forum for this question, because this forum is N1SM related !!!
anyways ... JAVA_HOME and PATH variables can help ;)
    do:
    $ echo $PATH
    $ echo $JAVA_HOME
they should point out to which java version shall be used
for N1SM ... I recommend to stick to JDK installed with N1SM, unless you know what you're doing ...
also latest JDK patches BREAK N1SM, since they remove symlink to old JDK, so cacao loaders become broken ... simply creating the symlink again workarounds this problem
