Dreamweaver 4 educational upgrade

I have DW4 educational edition. Can I upgrade to DW 8? Thanks
for the help

Correct although I would be surprised if adobe changed the
existing policy.
In the UK the educational price of a new version is not much
different from
what it would cost to upgrade.
Good marketing from Macromedia (adobe) in that it encourages
the legitimate
use of software to future professionals.

  • Upgrade  Dreamweaver 8 Educational Version to Dreamweaver CS3

    Hello,
    I have two questions:
    1. I currently have Dreamweaver 8 EDUCATIONAL VERSION; I need
to upgrade to CS3 EDUCATIONAL VERSION. Is it possible to upgrade
educational software or should I just buy CS3?
    2. If I do buy CS3, will I have to uninstall Dreamweaver 8 (
I currently have Studio 8 and Web Bundle 2)
    Thank YOU!!!!

for a correct answer, you'll have to check with the people at
    the adobe
online store customer service or with an authorized academic
    outlet.

You won't have to uninstall- the new software will go into a
    different
folder and won't interfere or overwrite anything from the
    previous version.
You can still use the prior version, but if on windows you
    can't run it at
the same time you have cs3 open. You can manually uninstall
    it or parts of
it if you wish to save HD space.

  • CS6 Education Upgrade?

We purchased Production Premium CS5.5 with the education discount in November of 2011, just before the CS6 announcement. We want to upgrade to CS6, but can't find education upgrade pricing. Will we have to pay the full upgrade amount? Seems a bit unfair, within 6 months.
Where, on this huge Adobe website, do we go.
    Thanks,

There is no educational upgrade. You can purchase an upgrade (to the the commercial version) or you can purchase a new educational license (usually as inexpensive as the upgrade price or less expensive).

  • Is there an educational upgrade from PS CS5.1 to PS CS6?

Is there an educational upgrade from PS CS5.1 to PS CS6?

Educational versions can be upgraded to a commercial license, but you do not get an educational price break, simply because the cost of a new educational version is cheaper than a commercial upgrade if you still qualify for educational pricing.
If you no longer qualify, then, yes, you can upgrade to a commercial license at the regular commercial upgrade rate,

  • Problem with Dreamweaver CS4 after upgrade to Lion

I am having a problem after upgrading to Lion,  with my  Dreamweaver CS4 . When I try to use the bold button the text completely dissapears from the screen in design view The text is still there as it shows up in preview and also shows up in  code view. Has anyone else had similar problems since the upgrade? and is there going to be a fix for it.

There are a number of known compatibility issues with Creative Suites and Lion

Can't see your specific issue mentioned though.
Perhaps report it to Adobe via the Bug Report form giving full details

  • Education upgrade

Is it really not possible to upgrade my educational version from Studio 8 to Studio 9? I bought Logic Studio for my home computer to see if we wanted it for my school lab. Got the educational discount. We ordered it for school but by the time the order was placed, version 9 came out so that is what was delivered. Now I need to upgrade my home machine for lesson planning. Why can I not pay an upgrade price? Full educational price is $450 as compared to the regular upgrade price of $299. Feeling pretty ripped off here, since I don't do any audio production of my own, but teach it. A lot of out of pocket expense to spread the word for Apple.

If you've recently purchased Logic 8 for education purposes, then you MAY still be eligible for this ( this is from the UK store, I don't know your location ) :

I'm a little confused about the Licensing aspect though, maybe somebody further up the tree can explain it a little better.

  • Really? No educational upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 without paying full price?

We bought the CS5.5 educational copy for our daughter in college.  Now she needs CS6.  Called about an upgrade and was told there isn't one, that we need to buy a whole new version or use cloud with a monthly fee.  Basically our CS5.5 is useless now!  I have never been a big fan of monthly subscriptions either.  What a rip off!

Useless? How so? Has it stopped working?
And I think you misunderstand the upgrade policy. You can buy a CS5.5 to
CS6 upgrade but there is no academic upgrade. If your daughter is still
in school she can buy the full CS6  student version or move to Creative
Cloud. If she's no longer a student she can get the CS5.5 to CS6
commercial upgrade or move to Creative Cloud with intro pricing of
    $29.99/month for the first year.
The academic price of Creative Cloud is $29.99/month.
Your closing statement here was unnecessary. I suggest you check all of
your facts in the future before ranting, especially here. This is a user
to user forum, not a direct line to Adobe.

  • Installing Dreamweaver CS5.5 upgrade to Studio 8

When I am asked to provide the qualifying product for the upgrade, it tells me that Studio 8 does not qualify?
Why not? It was a suite that included Dreamweaver 8?
    I'm confused
    Thanks,
    Tony

  • The Dreamweaver Creative Cloud upgrade is here!

    Hi everyone,
The Creative Cloud upgrade to Dreamweaver was announced yesterday. To ensure a smooth upgrade, please read the release notes (http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/dreamweaver/release-note/dw-release-notes-092412.ht ml).
For a list of all the delicious new features in this release, see http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/dreamweaver/using/whats-new-dreamweaver-ccm.html. The extended support for HTML 5, Web Fonts, and Search will have you drooling!
    - Preran

    Preran, just a couple questions:
To this part of the update:
    Improvements to handling fonts
The font list in the Font menu has been classified based on system fonts and web fonts. The system fonts are listed first in the menu.
The Web Fonts Manager (Modify > Web Fonts) dialog is renamed to Web Fonts Suitcase. You can use the Web Fonts suitcase to add web fonts to the fonts list.
The Add Fonts button is renamed to Add Local Font.
Can't an "Improvement" like this be pushed out to all versions.  Renaming the interface is only going to cause confusion with people who have issues here.
    FTP enhancements
    http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/dreamweaver/using/
Automatically Upload Files to Server on Save
This option allows files to be uploaded to the server even if a parallel upload or download process is in progress during the save operation. Some issues with this feature in the previous release have been fixed to make it seamless.
When you say previous release here I assume you mean 12.0 (CS6) which was released as Cloud and non-Cloud.  Correct me if I'm wrong but you say you are fixing issues in the previous release so this would mean this "fix" would be available to all Dreamweaver CS6 owners not just Cloud because you have fixed an issue that was created by Adobe and the feature itself is not new.  Is this correct, or what does Adobe define as a fix or patch if this definition does not constitute one?

  • Educational upgrade

    Hi,
We have 20 educational Premier Pro Cs5.5 Licenses at college for the students and we would like to upgrade them to the recent version.
I would like to know what do we have to do in order to upgrade them, what will be the process and what cost will it have?
Also, we are interested to buy 20 educational licences for the newest lightroom, so I will like some help in order to achieve all of this.
    Thanks.

Current is the Cloud, which is a subscription, not a "forever license" version

  • UK education upgrade riddle

Upgrade activation key £79, upgrade box version £79, buying a new education version £59!! So, I can upgrade to a consumer version (which is exactly the same as the education version) but it will cost me £20 more. I just don't get the logic of this. Still, the full new education version is a good deal either way!

Sorry for the spelling I am dislex.....
The answer is people in education pictly students are on a limited income and so Apple kindley offer there products to theses people at a lower cost.
In the same way as meny other companys.
Please do not abouse this as Apple I am shour will stop this if people pertend to be in education when thay are not.

  • Dreamweaver 13.1 upgrade

How can i tell if i have the latest CC dreamweaver upgrade. It says i do. It appears that i am unable to access the new css designers panel. Is using the older css panel the only option in the latest upgrade for windows as of 05/23/14. Thanks in advance!

Go into your version of DW and Click Help > About Dreamweaver
If you have DWCS6 Cloud, you'll see Version 12.1x. If you have DWCC, you'll see Version 13.x there.
You can't "update" from 12 to 13 using the CC application. They're separate individual programs. You would need to download DWCC, if you have a Creative Cloud Subscription. Both can be installed on the same machine (if your system meets DWCC's minimum requirements), they just won't run at the same time.
If your system doesn't meet the minimum requirements, you won't see DWCC as a download option.

  • FTP BUG in Dreamweaver CS6 after upgrading to build 5861

I just updated Dreamweaver CS6 to 12.0.1 build 5861.  Now Dreamwearver fails to put files after several successful puts of the same file.  Only symptom is that the background uploader window fails to appear.   Only solution is to close and re-open Dreamweaver.
Further testing seems to indicate this condition only happens if I manually save a changed file before attempting the Put.  It seems to consistently work correctly if I perform the Put and wait for Dreamweaver to prompt me to save the file.
THIS IS DEFINITELY A BUG THAT SHOULD BE FIXED - Dreamweaver CS6 Perpetual license (Not Cloud)

    Ask in the DW forum.

  • CS5 education Upgrade to CS6

Hi, I am a little confused about upgrade a edu version. I got a edu version of photoshop CS 4 extended, got the free CS5 (grace period) and now I want to upgrade to CS6. As I am no student any more I hope I can simply buy the regular upgrade without problems?

And now I am confused and angry.
My upgrade from CS5 Extended Edu to CS6 (no Edu) lead me to a standard CS6 without the extended features. I assume to get the CS6 Extended. What the...
Edit: I see now that I pressed the wrong button on purchasing the upgrade. Shame on me... The CS6 Extended upgrade is more expensive. So I have to deal with the support now...
