Dreamweaver 8 Application Panel...

Dreamweaver 8, Application panel, Database tab:
Why are the fields within tables listed alphabetically? Is
there a way to change this to the actual order of the fields in the
database? This is the only app I've ever seen that lists database
fields alphabetically and I haven't been able to find a way to
change it in Preferences, Properties, etc.

I don't think there is a way to change the order. It's not
something
that has ever worried me, but I can see why some people would
prefer the
actual database order. Why not submit a feature request to
the
Dreamweaver development team?

Although I still haven't found the real problem for it, the preview panel keeps on freezing, I do have a wokaround found for it.
Because I have a docking station for my laptop, with some free slots in it, I bought a second hand Video Card with 512MB and better performance than the on-board card in the laptop.
I hooked up a external LCD monitor to it and now it works just fine, with no additional modifications in Bridge.
So, although the Bridge / video card still occurs on the laptop, I don't mind working this way.
Maybe a newer driver in the future will solve this problem.

Ordering of database columns in Application panel

I'm just trying out Dreamweaver after clinging for a long,
long time to Homesite. Good to mixed results so far. Here's one of
quite a few niggles:
When you list database tables in the Application panel, and
expand to show table columns, the columns are ordered
alphabetically. Is there any way to order them according to the
structure of the table itself? I usually take care to create
columns in some logical order in DB tables - it's frustrating to
have that order just thrown out with DW's alphabetical sorting.

I've found myself doing much less application development
these days, and various niggles with DW (mostly its bulk) have left
me happily using TopStyle for XHTML/CSS.
Still, would be nice if Adobe fixed this so database work was
easier in DW when I did use it.

Application panel it no longer recognises site

Hi,
I have just had a power failure.
When I re started Dreamweaver my site appears fine in the
files section.
However when I open a page Dreamweaver no longer recognises
the page in the site. In application panel it no longer recognises
that the site is made in .asp, even though the page extensions is
.asp it asks me to define the document type, none of my DB
connections or Recordset show.
Can anybody suggest how I get my site working again?

Is the site definition correct?
Does DW appear to be working properly?
Does this happen on all sites, or just this one, or just
certain ones?

Can't understand proxy created in Application Panel Components

Hi,
For nearly two weeks I have been unable to connect to an SAP
web service. I am using the Dreamweaver > Application Panel >
Components Tab to create a web services proxy. When it creates the
ColdFusion proxy, I see 15 functions under the "structs" expandable
sublist. As far as I believe, I need to access the 15th function -
it contains the data I need. When dragging and dropping the proxy
into a web page, I only get a return variable related to the first
function.
As a note, in the WSDL, there is an input variable called
"result" that also exists as an output variable. And this also
seems to be a problem. There should only be two required inputs:
first name and last name. So, why does the proxy create a
cfinvokeargument for "result"?
Can anyone explain why there are so many functions that get
listed when the proxy is created? Are the functions something that
can be used? Can I drag and drop them? How do I specify an invoke
argument for a result?

Problems with Application panel

Has anyone ran into problems with the Applications panel? I
using the Application panel to insert Bindings and Server
Behaviors. I can't get it to work. It says that I have a connection
and I'm able to see the tables and diplay recordsets. But I'm
unable to display multiple recordsets and insert data into a
database. I'm reading Dreamweaver 8 with ASP, Cold Fusion, and PHP:
Training from the Source. I've done what the book has told me. Any
ideas on what the problem could be?
The only thing different that I did from the book is how I
connect to a database. I have this on the top of each asp page.

How do you add an application event to the Applications Panel

How do you add an application event to the Applications Panel.
My previous post referred to .ashx files, and the problem seems that Firefox, by default, does not recognize a .ashx format being read by Adobe Acrobat.
Therefore there needs to be a way to add Applications and Events into the Applications Panel under Preferences

Gotcha... But actually its limited to 9 icons in the L theme as the Profiles icon is always present. From that screen hit the Menu key to display the bigger list of icons. Arange them so the first 9 icons are the ones you want to see on the L theme.

Process is not visible in BPM Workspace in Application panel 2

Hi dear developers,

And all the steps had been done. But the deployment step, i couldn't see my process on the BPM Workspace. I searched the other opinions in the forum. It's completely same with this thread -> Process is not visible in BPM Workspace in Application panel
Nevertheless, couldn't find anything helpful. Could you help me please?

I hope you already ran the demo community seed app to create all the test users and groups etc in the default authenticator. If not, please see this below post:

1. First login into bpm/workspace with domain adminstrator username/password. Then on right side, click on Adminstration link and see if you could see all the roles related to hello world app and also the users that you added to those roles.
One other very basic thing is, you should and must deploy the TaskForms project that has all the taskdetails UI pages. I hope you did this while deploying the workflow and checking the check boxes to deploy other ui projects also.
If seeding and getting demo uses is confusing, you can always use your own users. From weblogic console, create some extra users like weblogic1, weblogic2, weblogic3 etc with some password. Then use these users to assign to the roles from hello world app. Then login with these users. This will also work.

Process is not visible in BPM Workspace in Application panel

BPM/SOA Suite 11g
DB Oracle 10gR2
I have created and deployed successfully a BPM process following instructions at http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/fmw/obpm/11g/r1/firstProcess/firstprocess_obpm11g.htm
i have seeded the demo community with no issues. Process roles has been mapped as well but i am not able to see any process in the BPM Workspace. later i mapped the user to simple weblogic user instead of jcooper and re-deployed my process but still not able to see the results.

Note: If the HelloWorldProcess v1.0 link does not appear in the Applications panel on the Tasks tab, click the Process Tracking tab. It should appear there. You can instantiate the process from that tab.but this also not worked for me
any ideas what could be the issue? i have searched this forum but no successful solution EM doesnt allow to mapp roles in the security section in OracleBpmProcessRolesApp

do we can any other way to run and test the process ?

That would help to ensure that the composite is deployed correctly. From EM navigate to the SOA folder and then soa-infra->default. That will list the deployed composites and the default version.

The program selected for NZB files doesn't show in the open with/download dialog box even though it is the default in Options window - Applications panel

Grabbit is listed as the default program for opening NZB files in the Applications panel. When I try to open an NZB file it is not automatically selected, nor is it on the list of optional programs. Consequently, I have to click through the list of installed programs in Windows and point Firefox to grabbit.exe.
Although the file is listed as Grabbit NZB in the Applications panel rather than just "NZB", I didn't have a bit of a problem when I had XP installed.

1) Well, I can set IE as the default program for html/htm files, as well as any other browsers/text editors. There is no issue in setting the default program for html/htm files. This issue is- htm/html files can't be opened when I click on 'open' option
(like temporary internet files get opened) just to view the files in IE when I set IE as default program for htm/html files. Please note that this issue is only when I click 'open' just to view the file. If I download and save the file, the file opens
in IE perfectly when IE is set as default program.
2) Regarding clicking 'open' button:- I want that if default program for opening htm/html files is set as IE, when I click the open button, the file should get opened in IE (as temporary internet files open). This is not happening when I set IE as default
program for htm/html files.
3) Files do get opened when I click 'open' button in IE, but ONLY WHEN default program is some other browser/text editor. And yes they get opened in the browser/text editor which is THEN set as default program.
4)Yes, I've tried turning protected mode off, lower the security level, set custom level to medium/medium-low but no benefit as such.
5) If I download/save the file, and then open the file, with default program set as IE, the files get opened successfully. I think the issue is that IE is not opening htm/html files as temporary internet files (when user just tries to view/open the
attachment rather than download/save it) when default program is set as IE itself. Is this expected behavior?

How to remove the divider at the end of application panel page button bar

I want to remove the divider at the end of the application panel's page button bar. I dont see a handle in the propery inspector which can be set or unset to remove this divider.
I am thinking more in lines of something like a "SecondaryToolbarRendered =false" kind of thing to remove this divider.
Any suggestions?

Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 application frame workspace don't work

My workspace in frame mode dont work.

Application Panel Cancel button

Hi,
We are using Cancel button provided by Application Panel to navigate back to the previous page (From Create page to Search page). As we hit the cancel button, we launch a popup to continue or stay on the same page. As soon as the popup is launched, the data in the fields of the Create page(the page from which the popup is launched) gets lost. Is this the usual behaviour or there is something else that we need to do.

Sorry, didn't recognize you are from Oracle Apps. There is no application panel in regular ADF and as such all buttons would be manually added. I am fraig but you will have to check with the Apps folksor forum because I have no experience with the Application Panel and its behavior
