Dreamweaver cc 2014.1 and Wordpress

Hi, I recently made a website in dreamweaver cc which was approved by my customer (great ;-))... But now he would like me to set it up in Wordpress. After doing some research (http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2013/05/15/migrate-existing-website-to-wordpress/ & http://www.adobe.com/inspire/2013/10/wordpress-sites-dreamweaver.html) this shouldn't be any problem. But just to be sure, the last site is talking about plugins for dreamweaver, but doesn't mention which ones. Is there anyone who has an idea? Or is this not relative anymore with the latest version of Dreamweaver?

Next, I download and install any needed WordPress plugins to add site features based on the site requirements. There are literally thousands of WordPress plugins available, so I do some research to find the best solutions, and then I install and configure the plugins to flesh out the site's functionality.
There are no plugins required for WordPress except for the Database/Bindings/Server Behaviors panels.

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 won't launch - system application memory full OSX

    Running on Mac OS 10.10.2
    16 GB memory
    After I try launching Dreamweaver, a warning about system application memory full forces me to quit Dreamweaver.

  • How can I reorder the columns in the Files panel in Dreamweaver CC 2014.1?

    I just upgraded to Dreamweaver CC 2014.1, and I want to change the order of the columns in the Files panel. But I can't figure out how to do this. Can anyone help?
    Thanks,

    <I want to change the order of the columns in the Files panel>
    You can change the sorting order by file name (ascending or descending), size, type, or date modified by clicking those labels on top of Files Panel.

  • I'm trying to update Dreamweaver CC 2014 and after I run the update my licensed version becomes a 30 day trail.

    I work at a community college and we have a volume license for the full Adobe suite.  All the software seems to update fine with the exception of Dreamweaver CC 2014 which after being updated goes from a fully licensed version to a 30 trail.

    Re-license the Creative Cloud product:
    Launch the problem Creative Cloud application.
    On the Creative Cloud application trial screen, click License This Software.
    Sign In with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership.

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014 crashes every 3 to 5 minutes. Windows 8.1. Uninstalled and reinstalled again today, not any better.

    I had the trial version for the last 30 days. I bought the product Sunday and entered the license code. The next day it started crashing every few minutes. I looked up similar reports in this forum and tried what has been recommended. I made sure Verdana and Tahoma fonts are set to "visible". I checked my CSS for open curly parenthesis. I uninstalled Dreamweaver and reinstalled. I rebooted. I cleared the cache.
    I have a simple little site for a historical society. There are no extensions installed. I have one CSS file and no other files except for the few HTML pages that make up the site. There are no forms or javascript in use.

    I am getting a slider on horizontal and vertical sides while embedding the edge animate object in dreamweaver CC 2014.
    When I import the ".oam" file in dreamweaver and change its width and height, then it starts showing me horizontal and vertical sliders.

    Hello!
    I now have a project that seems to be corrupted. A had been working on it all morning, with a few bugs here and there. Now I can no longer open the file, receiving this error: "Edge Animate: Exception An error occurred. Please your work and restart Edge Animate."

    I downloaded Dreamweaver CC 2014.1, started using it but cannot find Show Fluid Grid Layout Guides button, Resize LI.link sizing handle and 'move up a Row' arrow. Where can I find them?

    You have the latest version (CC 2014.1 or 2014.1.1) in which the interface condenses Design View with Live View buttons in normal layouts.  See screenshot.
    However, in FGLayouts, Live View is the only option which poses some editing problems and has been highly criticized.
    Is there any way to display the Design View in fluid grid pages?

    You can disable this restriction by adding an X to the FGLayout CSS.

    Having said that, it might just  be simpler to revert to an earlier version.  Log-in to Creative Cloud Desktop app.  Go to Filters & Versions > Previous Version.  See screenshot.

  • I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize, delete, duplicate and move up/ down ability.

    I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize,delete, duplicate an move up/ down ability.
    For this reason I cannot build new pages by copying one page to create another.
    I have a third style sheet that I use for the navigation styles  and h1 -h6 ect. tags. and I am also using a css drop menu, can one of these be the problem?
    The css menu I am using has the following script - I goes at the bottom of the html page. Before the closing body tag,
    <script>
    $(function () {
      $("#nav").tinyNav();
    </script>
    I am also using the following for image control - I place it towards the top of the fluid
    grid style sheet.
        box-sizing: border-box; /* Opera/IE 8+ */
        -moz-box-sizing: border-box; /* Firefox, other Gecko */
        -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; /* Safari/Chrome, other WebKit */
    Can some one please help.

    I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize,delete, duplicate an move up/ down ability.
    This implies there is something broken in your FluidGrid Layout CSS file.   It  could be something simple like a missing semi-colon or curly bracket.   Run your code through the W3C validation tools below to check for errors.  NOTE:  ignore reported errors in boilerplate.css

  • "Code & Design" and "Code & Live" view problem i  am getting in Dreamweaver CC 2014

    Please anyone help me.
    I have 2 webpages, one is with 12 columns fluid grid based and another is without fluid grid based.
    Both are open in same site folder in Dreamweaver CC 2014.
    I want to resize/edit  my fluid grid div column in design view.
    But i m not getting the proper menu (view-->Code and Design)
    why the problem is happening ?
    If my non-fluid page is active for edit purpose than i am getting the "View"-->"Code and Design"
    if my fluid page is active for edit purpose than i am no getting the  "View"-->"Code and Design"
    but i am getting "View"-->"Code and live"
    i am unable to resize my fluid div using the resize handler.
    this is fluid based, i need "code and design view"
    this is non-fluid based

    There has been much discussion about this lately.  You can add your vote for a return of Design View below.
    Provide "Design View" for Fluid Grid Webpages
    It's an "improvement" made to the October release to promote more people to use Live View editing in FGLayouts.  As we're finding out, the removal of Design View in FGLayouts is severely impacting people's workflows.
    Workarounds:
    Step back to CC June release from links below
    Win: http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dreamweaver/win/cc/Dreamweaver_14_LS20.exe
    Mac: http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dreamweaver/mac/cc/Dreamweaver_14_LS20.dmg
    or put an X in the FGLayout CSS comments
    Change this:
    Dreamweaver Fluid Grid Properties
    dw-num-cols-mobile:        5;
    dw-num-cols-tablet:        8;
    dw-num-cols-desktop:    12;
    dw-gutter-percentage:    25;
    to this:
    Dreamweaver Fluid Grid Properties
    dw-num-cols-mobile:      X;
    dw-num-cols-tablet:        8;
    dw-num-cols-desktop:    12;

  • Drupal and Wordpress Integration in Dreamweaver

    Hello,
    I have started learning Wordpress and Drupal. I know Dreamweaver.
    I understand in both CMS platform I have to make Custom Design Template in Dreamweaver to satisfy my client needs.
    So I am wondering, is Dreamweaver having better integration with Wordpress or Drupal for building design template and etc?
    I have choose Drupal & Wordpress over Joomla because for currently available extensions -
    Wordpress has 23,277 plugins.
    Drupal has 19,600 modules.
    Joomla has 10,000 extensions.
    Though some are commercial, some are outdated, some have bugs etc.

    Hello GraphicsGeezer,
    I respect your opinion but I am learning Drupal, Wordpress, PHP, Mysql and many more from Lynda Video Tutorial -  http://www.lynda.com/Drupal-training-tutorials/186-0.html. In my opinion it is very good website for learning. It educates through step by step process video. Totally, from start to finish in details. They have also exercise files by practical examples, which you can use that as practice purpose.
    Learning from video is more understandable that books, because you are seeing and hearing the step by step process whereas in books you are reading the step by step process. Learning from video is near to practical knowledge and learning from book is theoretical knowledge.
    Previously I have learned all from books but now I am more eager to learn from videos. Obviously, you will not get all things from videos. Therefore, still I learned from books and only if I do not get video on that subject. But try one video tutorial, I think you will be satisfied.
    There are also another video tutorial website like drupalize.me, lullabot, video2brain. I don’t think that in youtube you will get tutorial in details from start to finish, probably you will get some fragment tutorial.
    However, may be your opinion will be different and I am waiting for your opinion.

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014 and JQuery Accordian...

    After upgrading to Dreamweaver CC 2014 from DW CC, I am seeing SpryAssets in my code when I insert a JQuery Accordian. Should that NOT be there, or at least have a different name? When I preview in Browser from DW CC 2014, it displays as desired. When I load page from browser over the web, the accordion effect is not there. What am I missing?
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Hi Rick,
    When you say that you have upgraded, I hope you mean that you installed a fresh version of of Dreamweaver CC2014 and left Dreamweaver CC in tact.
    At the moment, I have three versions of Dreamweaver installed on my system, namely DWCS6, DWCC and DWCC14, all working independently of each other.
    As such, DWCC14 will place all jQuery widget support files in a subdirectory called jQueryAssets.
    In contrast, DWCC will place those same support files into a directory called SpryAssets, probably because of the Spry aftermath. If you do not like the name of this subdirectory, you can always rename it.

    Hi All,
    Just to reiterate we do have Extension Manager CC standalone to install extensions for Dreamweaver CC 2014, that update is already available via Creative Cloud Application, please update Extension Manager if you need to support CC 2014 release products.
    For Server Behavior just wanted to let you guys know that we have it available on the AddOns page from where you can install it for Dw CC 2014 also.Do use the AddOns workflow and let us know about the user experience to help make it better and easier. In case if you are looking for how to install the Server behavior from AddOns page, please follow below mentioned steps :
    1. Download/Install the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Application from creative.adobe.com and make sure to turn on File Sync.
    2. Launch Dreamweaver.
    3. Goto Windows>>Browse AddOns.
    4. Search for Server behavior in the AddOns page.
    5. Now quit Dreamweaver.
    6. After quitting Dreamweaver Click the install Button against the Extension in the AddOns page.
    7. Wait for some time for a notification to be displayed in the Creative Cloud Application. After successful installation of the extension you should receive a notification the Creative Cloud app saying "You installed the AddOn Server Behavior & Database"
    Let us know if that does not work for you.
    Thanks
