  • Dreamweaver CC (2014)- will not start up

I too have the same problem. I installed Dreamweaver 2x and removed it 2x. Still No startup. Just bounces in dock for about 1/2 sec.
    Mac Pro 4,1
    10.7.5
    16GB RAM
I have repaired permissions, checked the logs for errors- NONE.
What else is there to do. I really need this to work.
PS CS CC 2014, Audition, and Muse all work fine.
I cleaned the app and uninstalled.
Please add this to the locked discussion going on.
My Dreamweaver CC (and 2014) will not start/open up.

    11:31 PM PDT
    Hi,
New development this evening but I still need the conference.
I installed it on another drive in my Mac Pro whose system is 10.8.5- It
opened fine with the welcome screen.
Then I installed it on my main startup drive where all my applications are
and did not attempt to open it.
I then went to the 10.8.5 drive and moved all information regarding DW CC
2014 to the problem drive EXCEPT the actual application.
I pulled information out of /user:/Library/Adobe App. support, Library-
Adobe App. Support, and the /user/Library prefs folder.
Some of the information was merged with existing files and some were
replaced. Including all of the information from the Application folder
    (again; except the actual application)
I then repaired user system preferences (just for the heck of it). I only
moved applicable information relating to Dreamweaver not other Adobe apps.
I then started up the Dreamweaver application and it started up fine. But I
didn¹t get the usual Welcome tutorial screen and when I want to open a file
in the resulting dialog box to navigate to a file it also shows all the
invisible files on my drive. Very odd. So yes it does work but there may
be other problems since this my be a symptom or just an isolated anomaly
which does not affect the use of the application.
I tried all my other Adobe apps. perpetual and subscription and they all
    work fine.
When do you want to do the remote conference?
    Thank You

  • Photoshop CC 2014 won't start but  I see Photoshop.exe running in Task Manager!

I just updated Photoshop CC 2014 today - October 6, 2014, and it won't start. I does not give any warnings or errors. Windows 7 Pro. If I check Windows Task Manager, I see Photoshop.exe running, but it never opens on my desktop.

Just so anyone that sees this will know the sequence of events:
I updated Photoshop CC 2014 and many other CC updates today
I restarted my machine (Windows 7 Pro)
    Clicked Photoshop Start Icon
Photoshop did not start, but Photoshop.exe appears in Windows Task Manager (WTM) under Processes tab (approx. 8 MB of Memory used)
If I click Photoshop Start Icon multiple times, multiple EXEs appear in WTM
Tried right-clicking Photoshop.exe(s) and Ending Processes, then Running Photoshop again (same result)
Restarted my machine a second time
    Now Photoshop CC 2014 runs
I will add an update here if things change.
    Thanks for the help everyone!

  • InDesign CC 2014 won't start - World record and a bug

Seems to be a common issue where InDesign won't start. All sorts of advice all over the Internet, much of it useless.
Spent a couple of hours trying various thing and finally found and deleted the PC preferences files.
Set a new world record: 126 copies of InDesign running at once.
One would think Adobe would write the program to let you know another instance is already running before launching it yet again.

    OS?
    Which CC 2014.?

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014 won't launch

Just switched to a new Mac Pro. Per Adobe's instructions, I downloaded and installed Creative Cloud. Then from Creative Cloud I selected the Adobe apps to install. Several of the apps run just fine--no issues. However, no matter what I try, I can't get Dreamweaver CC 2014 to launch. The icon in the dock bounces a couple of times and that's it. No splash screen, no crash dialog. I checked CONSOLE and it has nothing showing for "Dreamweaver" or "Adobe" in the message. The ~Library/Logs/CrashReporter has no crash logs (user and root). I've repaired permissions (even though that has no impact on Adobe apps) and rebooted, but nothing works. I've also uninstalled and then re-downloaded and installed Dreamweaver CC 2014, but that didn't help.
    What do I try now?
    MacOS 10.9.4
    Mac Pro 3.5 GHz 6-Core, 32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

    Hi All
I am hoping it is not rude to add my bit here but I am having exactly the same problem. I unistalled Dreamweaver and installed the 2014.....now I click on the icon it bounces twice and does not launch.
I have seen that the extension manager was used to resolve this issue by Montylee.....please can you tell me step by step how you did it as I have adobe extension now and keen to resolve this issue.
Also how do I unistall all traces of earlier versions I have that may be causing clashes?
    Many thanks in advance.....
Getting desperate.... I am a relative novice so please treat me gently.....HA HA

  • Dreamweaver 8.0, Won't Start Up At All

What do I do about my Dreamweaver 8.0 suddenly getting stuck
during start-up, and just freezing until I get a "not responding"
message and have to shut it down? It goes along for a little while,
then freezes at the "Initializing Css. sign on the start-up, if I
    remember right.
Do I re-run my CD? (Will I still have all my local files if I
    do?)
    Any other suggestions?
This happened just after I finished a long, for me, web
feature I'd worked a couple weeks on. It was a travelogue, and I'd
just uploaded two photos that I'd gotten from an image bank, needed
to supplement my own photos (my camera had broken)...and then, when
I briefly tried to do something else as an afterthought, after
taking down Dreamweaver, it would n't start up again. I've
re-booted several times, to no avail.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014 won't save site server passwords

Since updating to Dreamweaver CC 2014, it asks for a site server password every time I try to upload files. Even though I toggle the "Save" checkbox on, it will remember the passwords as long as I keep DW running. If I quit DW, it asks for the password again when I try to connect to a site's server. I'm really hoping there's a fix other than recreating all of my site FTP connection info. I do multiple sites.

Sounds like a permissions problem.   Try this:
Rename the Preferences folder on your computer:
    On Mac : ~/Library/Application support/Adobe
    On Windows7 : \Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
Rename “Dreamweaver CC2014.1” to “Dreamweaver CC2014.1_old”
    Re launch Dreamweaver.

  • Illustrator CC 2014 won't start anymore, Windows 7

Illustrator CC 2014 has been working fine ever since I installed it up until 2 days ago. I tried to open the program and it showed a box with "Could not complete the requested operation". I saw there was an update available so I installed that and now it shows the initial picture from starting but then pops the same box up and when I click close it closes the starting image and is done. I did install some Windows Updates earlier that day. I have since uninstalled ALL the updates from that day and I'm still getting the same thing. All my other Adobe programs are still working correctly, including AI CC, AI CS6, PS CC, PS CC 2014 and Premiere Pro CC 2014.
I also tried removing the "en_US" preferences folder. That didn't fix the problem either, but it does get far enough during starting to make a new "en_US" folder.
PLEASE HELP!!! I have searched everywhere with no luck for this problem with Windows, only MAC.

    Hello Ashli315,
Did you install any 3rd party plugins to your AICC 2014 installation? Or did you install any software say any font management software which might be causing the clash. Or was there any Windows update which got installed after which the crash started happening?
    Thanks!

  • Photoshop CC 2014 won't start while any other 2014 apps do

After the 2014 update, I've used PS for a while, first in polish (as CC app updated it changed my language to polish. I'm used to english so I've uninstalled PL versions, and installed the proper EN ones), than in english. Point is it worked. I didn't change anything since then, but suddenly PS just refused to launch. I click the icon, but nothing happens. Restarts won't work. I've updated my Nvidia drivers today, but it didn't help. Every other Adobe app run just fine, including the pre 2014 update PS. I use Windows 8.1

Oh, Thank you very much. I was download ur file and installed it but it doesn't work. After that I restart the computer and open CC again and click update all, it's work ! My app continue to update. Tnk u very much
    Hope others see this post.

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014 crashes while start

I'm trying to get my Dreamweaver started for a week without any luck.
I was reading through all support forum solutions but nothing helped.
Dreamweaver crashes when I try to start it on my Mac.
I tried to re-install several times, log out of Creative Cloud, tried to restart, tried to enable and disable fonts in Font Book.
My Console gives the error message:
    A system font, "LucidaGrande 13.00 pt. P [] (0xddeb520) fobj=0xddeb420, spc=4.11", is requested to be deallocated. Ignoring...
How can I get Dreamweaver running on my Macbook? Photoshop work perfectly. Dreamweaver doesn't even start at all. The icon in the Dock is only jumping around for a few seconds and is disappearing afterwards. Nothing happens, it isn't opening at all.
I really tried every solution I could find on this forum.
    Thanks

    Thank you Nancy!
    It finally works now.
On that page you send me I found the Java version that works: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
This together with this instruction did the trick:
    1. Log into system
    2. Open Finder
    3. Press Cmd+Shift+G
    4. Enter /Users/<Your Account Name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ in the dialog that appears and press Enter key
    5. Rename "Dreamweaver CC" folder name to "Dreamweaver CC Backup"
    6. Press Cmd+Shift+G
    7. Enter /Users/<Your Account Name>/Library/Preferences in the dialog that appears and press Enter key
    8. Rename file "Adobe Dreamweaver CC Prefs" to "Adobe Dreamweaver CC Prefs Backup"
    9. Launch Dreamweaver CC
    Thanks a lot

  • Dreamweaver & Flash CS3 won't start

I have Dreamweaver and Flash in CS3 Design Premium. All other
apps seem to work, but DW and Flash only launched once or twice
after I first installed the suite. Now virtually nothing happens
when I try to launch them -- barely a flash on the hard drive
light. I have XP professional. I tried the method described in a
previous thread (an Adobe Tech Note) of deleting the config folder
to force DW to create a new one -- I did not work. Can anyone
    help?
