Dreamweaver CC October 2014 release - make sure you have plenty of time before updating

The October 2014 release of Dreamweaver CC has a lot of changes, most of which are improvements on the previous release. However, it also changes the default workspaces and the way that Split view works. Other UI changes include combining the Design and Live View buttons into a single button, and moving the Document Title field to the Property inspector.
Because this version has been completely rebuilt to make it 64-bit on both Mac and Windows, migrating extensions could take several minutes.
Make sure you have plenty of time before you hit the Update button in the Creative Cloud application manager. It takes a little while to get used to some of the changes.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

I have tried all the steps in the apple support.

There is nothing to backup.
If the device is showing the Connect to iTunes screen, there is nothing on the device to backup.
The first step in the update process is a backup... restore the device using that backup and try again.

Yesterday, I downloaded the twoignite app. When I went to open the app to use, this error message appeared: An error occurred connecting to the server. Please make sure you have an internet connection. I checked my connection and found I had a solid connection. I have tried closing the app and reopening it; deleting the app and redownloading it (more than once); turning off my iphone and turning it back on. None of these things have worked. Thanks.

I get the message listed above when I try to email pics. It asked me to set up an email account. I chose gmail. It asked for a password. I'm assuming it was asking for my email password. And yes I may have typed it in wrong, but how do I "please make sure you have entered the email account and password correctly" ??? I can't find out how to get back to that point?

If doesn't work try use the instructions below BUT in BOTH folders, first in SourceList and after in the Media.
Start>Run put regedit and press Ok.
1. Go to the key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\9B00314CD581E574FBCE93FE37F2911B\SourceLis t\Media
2. Right click in Media folder, select Permissions from the menu.
3. You will see that is no user, on the "Permissions for..." dialog box which appears next, press the "Add.." button and add in the "All"
4. Back on the first "Permissions for..." dialog box, click on each account in the top-list and make sure each has the "Full Control = Allow" and "Read = Allow" permissions
5. Click the "Advanced" button and the "Advanced Security Settings" dialog box appears
6. On the "Permissions tab" enable the checkmark box named "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object", then press the "Apply" button
7. On the "Owner" tab, highlight the "Administrators" name in the lower listbox, enable the checkmark box called "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" and press the "Apply Button"

My Photos app as well as the iCloud website is telling me that "iCloud Photos Library has been disabled" and that "I have 29 days remaining to make sure you have a complete copy of your photos and videos."
Then it tells me to go to my iCloud settings to disable this, but there's nothing there to turn off this death switch.
Please help!!!

I did some searching on the Apple Support site and found this article, sounds like it might be related to your issue.
Maybe you can go back and undo the disabling?

You can turn off your iCloud Photo Library when you follow these steps:
In iOS, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage > iCloud Photo Library, then select Disable and Delete.
In OS X, go to System Preferences > iCloud > Manage > select Photo Library, then select Disable and delete.
Once you turn off your iCloud Photo Library, you'll have 30 days to download your library to at least one device. You can download your photos and videos when you turn on Keep Originals or select the items to download from iCloud.

Make sure your iPod is fully charged before updating!!!

For all of you out there contemplating the 7.0 update- make sure the iPod is fully charged before you do the update. You'll save a lot of headaches. The Genius Bar at the Apple store suggested that our install was corrupted because perhaps the iPod wasn't fully charged, and wasn't getting enough power during the update. We ended up with a corrupt install and a frozen iPod, but fortunately the genius fixed it. I couldn't even do a reset, it just was stuck. The genius plugged it in using both USB and firewire, which allowed enough power to get to the iPod so that it could be reset, and then restored, which fixed it.

We are lucky to have an Apple store near us, so we went to the Genius Bar at the Apple store, and the person there fixed it.
Have you tried sticking the iPod on a wall charger and letting it charge up? If not, you might try getting it fully charged, and then see if it will let you reset the iPod. You may end up having to restore, which would unfortunately wipe off your songs.

TS1538 Make sure you have available space on your HDD

I had the problem of iTunes not recognising the iPhone on MOST occasions when I start it. Sometimes it would sometimes it wouldn't. This has been going on for 4 months. After running through all the tips on the web, from apple and everyone else i finally discovered I was low on Disk Space (I tried to copy the iTunes backup files to another location to protect them and they wouldn't fit). So I cleaned out my hard disk and everything worked.
The symptoms were:
1      iTunes would take much longer than usual to start up
2     once it did start up, 8 times out of 10 iTunes wouldn't see the iPhone (although Windows has recognised it and allowed me to copy photos etc)
3     If I got that far, iTunes would hang in the backup part of the synch, or after synching contacts and calendars would get half way through the Apps then say iTunes couldn't determine the apps to be synched/the device is unavailable/ther eis an internal device error
I was running an iPhone 4 with ios 4 something and then ios 5.1 (updating to IOS 5.1 didn't fix the problem)
Dell Laptop running Windows 7 Professional 6.1 - 32bit
It must be that iTunes is checking the backup files when it starts up (my backup files were about 3.5gb) - it may be needing temp space and when it doesn't have enough - it falls over/hangs.
Hopefully someone at Apple will update their support doco to advise people to check disk space on the PC/Laptop. No-one at the Apple Genius bar thought of this - I can't blame them - they were great and tried everything else - thanks Jess! , they just don't know windows machines.

This is not a normal message from a standard Firefox installation so this is probably a problem with you company's plugin or your company's webwerver. Firefox does not depend on IE in any way.

Installing 7.0 standard printer drivers and fonts directory Make sure you have permission

When installing the process hangs on error messages which state the program cannot install the PDF printer driver, and the Font to the respective directories. It inquires if I have permission to install in these directories. What is up ?

that on my old system everything worked well. Trying to install on my newer
computer will fail. A printer driver. hmmm. Seem fishy as the program except
for that seems to work okay. What architecture ( machine) has changed to
prevent printer drives from being upgraded to work. I'll see if Adobe has a
patch.
As for purchasing a newer software...........would you buy a new car every

Firmware update? Make sure you factory default afterward...

If you do a router firmware update, you may need to restore to factory default. Just found this out. Been a while since I did a router firmware update. Linksys wrt54g2
I'll report back if this fixed the issue with my router lockups.
