Dreamweaver CC upgrade

Hi I have recently installed dreamweaver CC as a pay monthly subscription upgrading from a dreamweaver CS5.5 subsciption however when the new version loads it seems to have located some old versions of websites but not the newer ones which are in a xamp folder. I am loathed to import them all a reset up all the connections is there a quicker way around this and why has it happened?
<moved from downloading, installing and setting up by mod - kglad>

You should be able to export your site info in a .ste file from the old DW (Site > Manage Sites > Export) then import the .ste in the new DW (Site > Manage Sites >Import). That should bring across all of your site settings and what-not.

  • Dreamweaver CS3 Upgrade

I have purchased a copy of Dreamweaver CS3 Upgrade and on
installation my previous Dreamweaver 8 version serial number is not
    recognised
I have reread the upgrade paths and it looks as though I have
made an error. I hadn't appreciated Adobes new upgrade route for my
Studio 8 using the Creative suite option.
As a result although I own a full version of Studio 8 I
purchased a copy of Photoshop CS2 and upgraded it to CS3.
I then purchased an upgrade of Dreamweaver CS3 expecting to
be able to upgrade using my Dreamweaver 8 in Studio 8.
This has probably cost me more than if I had just upgraded
    using Creative Suite.
I am not expecting something for nothing but I have genuinely
made a mistake and all I need is a working legal copy of
Dreamweaver CS3 to work alongside my Photoshop CS3.
I made the mistake and have entered a support Web case on the
Adobe Web Site with no answer as yet (two weeks so far)
could you please advise me on the best way to put it right
    without costing another fortune.
    Thanks

Thanks Tony. I've forwarded your info to our European support

  • Dreamweaver 8 Upgrade - HELP

I just upgraded to Dreamweaver 8 from Dreamweaver MX.
Everytime I want to preview work in a browser, I'm prompted to
    "save" the work first.
This is crazy! I want to test on a number of browsers before
I save it. Is there a preferences area to change this?
    Any help greatly appreciated.

  • Macromedia MX to Dreamweaver 8 upgrade

I am upgrading from Macromedia MX to Dreamweaver/Fireworks 8
in the next couple of days and am wondering if any of my existing
MX files will have problems when I start using DW8? I am about half
way through re-creating my website in MX and wonder if I should
start over in DW8 or continue with the files I currently have? I
would like to hear some opinions from users who have dealt with
this type of issue. Thanks for your help.

    You should have no problems.

  • Dreamweaver/MAMP Upgrade on Mac (Lion)

This is a pretty broad question(s). I've been working on a MacBook Pro running on Leopard for 6 1/2 years. I used Dreamweaver and MAMP but very seldom upgraded them.
I've finally upgraded to a new MacBook Pro running Lion and want to get up to speed on Dreamweaver, MAMP, PHP, MySQL, etc. After five years+, I have a few hoops to jump through.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any general advice anyone can offer regarding installing and setting up Dreamweaver and/or MAMP on a Mac running Lion. It would also be great if you could point me to some good online tutorials. (I've been searching for tutorials with Google but haven't found much good information yet.)
I should note that I'm using Adobe Creative Suite 3. I can't afford to upgrade to CS5.5, so I'm thinking of upgrading Dreamweaver only.
    Two specific questions...
    1) What should I name the folder that contains my websites, and where should I put it? My older laptop has a default folder named Sites at the following location...
    Users > (user) > Sites
However, Lion doesn't have such a folder. Does MAMP install with everything pointing to a default websites folder, or will it give me an option of designating such a folder?
    2) If MAMP gives me the option of choosing a particular version, which versions of PHP, MySQL and Apache do you recommend I work with?
    Thanks for any tips.

To your first question.  Yes it is possible to run multiple copies of Adobe programs.  Only thing you can't do is run 2 versions of the same application simultaneously (eg: DW CS3 and CS5.5 at the same time).
The only details on Creative Cloud released so far are:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2011/11/adobe-creative-cloud-and-adobe-creative-suite -new-choices-for-customers.html
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud.html
https://creative.adobe.com/ - This is the address for storage, currently the only product working although Muse and Edge are supposed to be figured into the Cloud as well.
The only announced pricing is ~$50/month for the Suite, whatever that may be.  No further details yet other than "it's coming".  They've been sparse on details, but after getting many responses including a long letter from the NAPP president we can only speculate as to what is going on http://www.scottkelby.com/blog/2011/archives/22903 .

  • Dreamweaver fireworks upgrading to yosemite problem

RE: fireworks and dreamweaver: I desperately need a new computer which means upgrading from 10.6.8 (snow leopard) to YOSEMITE.  I have been using CS3 fireworks and dreamweaver constantly for my business for many years.  I do not want a learning curve so thought I would upgrade to CS5 but I hear that there might still be problems on Yosemite.  I do NOT want to learn new setup nor encounter trouble with my old files.  PLUS I see that CS5 costs hundreds of dollars.  ANY SUGGESTIONS on what is closest thing to my CS3 THAT will work with Yosemite AND is there any way not to have to pay hundreds of dollars e.g. $500+)

Your comfort zone aside, almost every new software these days requires a modern OS and 64 bit computer.   CS6 and CC are compatible with Yosemite.  But CS5 is not listed in the compatibility FAQ so it is a risky venture for software that is outdated, no longer supported by Adobe and 7 versions removed from the current Creative Cloud offerings.
Old HTML files will still work in DW CS6 or CC.  However the products have received many updates. So take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with what's deprecated and what's new in DW.
    The deprecated features list:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/the-new-modernized-dreamweaver-cc.html
New Features in CC 2014 June Release
    http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/whats-new-2014.html
New Features in CC 2014.1 October Release
    http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/whats-new.html
A 30-day trial costs nothing to examine.  And you'll have access to more than 17 products including PS Extended, DW, IL, MU, Edge Animate, and much, much more...

  • Dreamweaver 8 upgrade?

Can I upgrade my Dreamweaver 8 to work with my Apple Lion OS X 10.8.2?  If so, do I just select the latest available version or is there one in particular that will work?
When I try to use my current version it says it no longer supports Power PC, don't even know what that is!  Thanks!

there is no upgrade path from dw8 to dw cs6  (http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/buying-guide-upgrades.html).

  • Dreamweaver 2004 Upgrade needed?

I have been happily using Dreamweaver 2004 for a couple of
years, and I am one of those forever beginner types. I have
received lots of help from Murray and others on this forum and I am
still absorbing the basics - or so it seems.
I am about to design a couple of new sites and I am
    wondering:
Are there any big reasons to upgrade Dreamweaver for someone
such as myself who is only using maybe 5% of the 2004 version's
    features?
Is the new version easier/ more intuitive to use or does it
    simply have more features?

How so? The menus are the same....

  • I can't reinstall my Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 Upgrade (which was bought against Adobe Golive 6)

I worked with it since 2009 and now following a crash I need to reinstall on Windows 8.1 but impossible as Golive is not anymore in the options proposed as fromer version. No possibility to contact customer service. Any idea how to manage this and recover my software back...I am completely stuck
    Thx for help

I think you're right, you're stuck. Neither GoLive or CS3 are supported by Adobe anymore and I've never seen anyone install GL on Windows 8, which is what you would need to do first in order to install the CS3 "from GoLive" Upgrade version.
I think your only real options would be to pick up a copy of DWCS6: Creative Suite 6 (outdated and not receiving updates, but still available from Adobe)
Or get a subscription to the Creative Cloud (you get a discount on the first year as a previous owner of CS3): Creative Cloud pricing and membership plans | Adobe Creative Cloud
Through the CC subscription you can install DWCS6, CC and CC 2014.1 all as separate installations.

  • Upgrade to Dreamweaver 8

    1. Does Dreamweaver Ultra Dev4 Upgrade to Dreamweaver 8
    2. Does Dreamweaver 8 Upgrade come with the Upgrade ID or you

Each installation is a separate program. There is only a

And yes, UD4 qualifies for an upgrade to DW8.

Leave UD4 installed. Install DW8. It will pick up your UD4
