Dreamweaver CS3 menu icons not displaying

I just recently reinstalled my OS X and CS3 Suite with the original CDs because there were some issues with Illustrator unexpectedly closing before it had even opened the desired file. The reinstalls went without problem on all applications in the suite except Dreamweaver; the application menu icons are now replaced "broken image link" icons, and my ftp connect button has disappeared as well.
Here is a screen shot of what I'm looking at in the Dreamweaver interface:

I have tried repairing/reinstalling the application by itself and the entire suite, but I am still getting the same result, and only in Dreamweaver.
I have also tried clearing the .plist file and cache, but that hasn't helped either.
Has anyone heard of this happening before? I've had a difficult time finding anything similar on the forums.

Yes that could definitely be the root of the issue. Put your OSX disc or disc that came with your Mac and boot up to that. Run the disk repair utility from the menu at the top of the screen (you don't need to re-install OSX). See if it can be fixed.
And just a friendly reminder, make a backup of really important data before doing too much more.

Indesign CS3 .indd icons not displaying correctly in Windows 7 64 bit.

GDay InDesign Gurus.
Ive just recently moved over to Windows 7 64 bit and have noticed that my InDesign .indd file icons are being displayed as a blank file type instead of the IND icon type. The .indd files open up correctly in InDesign upon double clicking so the issue is more of a convenience one. I have checked that the file association has been set to InDesign which is all ok as the files open up fine just there is no IND icon displayed in the file; my Photoshop and Illustrator files are all fine and display correctly but it would be nice if I could easily see my .indd files.
Ive searched the web for a solution but have not been able to fine one associated to Windows 7 64 bit.
Any help you guys can provide would be highly appreciated.

Columns in Dreamweaver CS3 Template Pages Not Displaying Correctly in IE8

I have a site that has most pages created with a template page that displays three columns below the navbar (counting a small column to the left for the logo at the top the table has four columns). The home page (index.html - not from the template) displays the same colums as the template pages correctly, but all the pages created with the template show the first column as way to wide and the next two columns as far too narrow.
I have trawled the internet to find a solution, but as my knowledge of HTML is limited it is proving near impossible for me to even find a relevant forum topic, let alone a workable solution. All I want is for the template pages with three visible columns below the navbar to display the same widths as those in index.html.
I am working on a mac and the pages all preview fine in Safari, Firefox etc, but not in IE8 on Windows 7 machines.
I have tried rather indelicately to shove various bits of code in to fix the width of the columns and render such commands as table-layout=fixed etc, but with absolutely no effect.

Most are straightforward.
If you view the page in IE9, and click on the compatibility icon, the rendering looks right. Unfortunately, I cannot force that rendering with any of the accepted meta tag usages!

I'm not clear on exactly what it is you're asking, but if you're referring to changing opacity, you can change the opacity setting for the States of a menu item via the States panel and Control Strip.

Wirless icon not displaying, but says I am connected to network

I am a new Iphone user, so I apologize is this a rookie questions. I believe I am connected to my house wireless connected as the name of my network is checked off when I go to settings and Wifi.
My question is, though, why is my icon not displaying on the top left corner? It displays when I am connected at work and everywhere else I was able to connect. Is there something in my settings that I may have checked?
And, does that mean I am not really connected wirelessly?

Thanks, all. So, I just rebooted and there was no change.
Then, as SteveCWatkings recommended, I went into my settings page. I went into the properties page, and there isn't anything listed beside IP address, Subnet Mask, Router, DNS, etc. They are all empty...
*UPDATE*
Okay, something just happened. AS I WAS RESPONDING, I was clicking on each of the fields (IP address, Subnet, etc to see if I could enter information since they were empty. And,when I got to DNS, it allowed me to type something in. Not knowing what to enter, I clicked back and it took me back to the Settings page. So, I clicked on my network again and when I tapped my network, all the fields were filled in, and the icon appeared.
So, now it appears to be connected. I don't know if it will remain connected, or if I had to tap something (DNS?) or if it was glitch, but it appears to be working now.

Menu toolbar icons not displayed in colour when deployed on the Web

We are developing an application using Forms6i on Windows NT.
Our problem is that menu toolbar icons are not displayed in colour when the application is deployed on the Web using lookAndFeel = generic. This is the case both when using Microsoft IE5 and Netscape 4.5. When lookAndFeel = oracle, however, the icons are displayed in colour.
The icons are stored as *.gif files in the same directory as the application *.html file. It does not help to create a virtual path /web_icons/ in the www listener and edit the parameter default.icons.iconpath in the file Registry.dat.
When running the application as client/server, the menu toolbar icons are displayed in colour as expected.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I got the same problem and I didn't figure out, how to solve this problem.
But did you try to printout the form anyway? I guess you will see the icons on the printout, won't you?

Eye icon not displaying in AccordionPanelTab

This problem is across sites. One of them is http://www.alvingolf.com/documents.html. Strangely, on that site, there is also an accordion where I cannot directly edit in design view, but must edit in the code. That page is http://www.alvingolf.com/banquet-room.html. All the other accordions on the site all editing in design view but still display no eye icon. I can open the panels in the Properties panel, however.

Other sites with the same problem are http://www.cityofhillcrestvillage.org/documents.html and http://www.bababaseball.org/documents.html. They have 1.6.1 .js but I noticed they have the 1.4 .css. Now I'm wondering if I copied over something important when I added my former styles back to the SpryAccordion.css on alvingolf.com.
I would like to just reload the new framework, but the link given on the sidebar says explicitly that it ONLY works with CS4, and I have CS5. I found the file in my configuration folder in Program Files, so I'm going to give that a go, but if anyone knows of another reason why the eye might not display, please pass it on.
Actually, this problem started before I upgraded to CS5. And I guess the one where I cannot edit directly is the subject of another post.

Karen, I have also seen this behavior. Make sure you have not turned off your Invisible Elements. Even in CS5, I get the eyeball when I turn on Invisible Elements and Visual Aids.
If your Spry code is corrupted, however, with an extra div or other item between structure that the widget needs to work, you will not get the eye AND your widget will break.
I have also experienced not being able to edit in Design View. I have not completely tracked down the cause, but in situations where I have not stated a height (most situations) but HAVE spec'd overflow: hidden; I can't edit in Design View in that element. This is in CS5, which seems pickier than CS4 did.
Regarding the sidebar link that states that it ONLY works with CS4, perhaps it means ONLY CS4 and NOT CS3. Typically, code will work going forward, but not work going backward in version. You can get a clue on precise meaning of that statement if you have a date on when it was made. If it was made before CS5 was released (March 2010), it probably means to exclude CS3. If it was made after March 2010, it could mean to exclude also CS5.
You can make a copy of the files/site in case of catastrophe and try using the newer framework in CS5.

Cinnamon taskbar app icon not displaying properly for Sublime Text

Cinnamon is displaying Sublime Text's icon in the taskbar as a question mark. This is the only app it does it with and I'm having trouble finding out what's causing it to attempt to fix it. Different themes have no effect. Other programs installed from the AUR display just fine. The icon displays just fine in the main menu, but when I open it, the taskbar icon is just a '?'. Also I've tried this on Linux Mint 17.1 (also running Cinnamon 2.4) and the issue is not present there.
The closest I have come to figuring out what is causing the problem is through the looking glass. Under the Windows tab and the Application column, my other apps that are displaying fine have .desktop values, but Sublime Text is showing up as "<untracked>". However I can't right click, double click, or otherwise edit this value.
I have included two screenshots, the first shows that Sublime Text shows up fine in the main menu but not in the taskbar and the second shows Looking Glass.

I think I got the solution,
On the Desktop Entry tag of the .desktop file add the following
StartupWMClass=subl3
By running, as in one of the references,
$ xprop WM_CLASS
and then clicking on the Sublime Text application the following will show
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "subl3", "Subl3"
In my case it was subl3 so, replace with one of the results from command.

Spry horizontal menu's not displaying right in IE9

Presently I'm using Dreamweaver CS4. I have built a web site and placed a horizontal spry menu at the top of the web page. It is situated on the page just below a smaller non-spry horizontal menu.    In IE9, the menu appears above and to the right of this smaller menu rather than in the location I want it to appear. What's more, in Dreamweaver the menu seems to float the upper right of the screen (I've attached a screen shot).   When I review the web site in IE 7, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari, the menu is correctly placed.
Can anyone help solve this issue? When I view the web page in IE9 and put it into IE7 mode, all is well. Not so in IE9 (or IE8 for that matter).

I'm not sure where you attached files (I have not seen a way to do that in the Forum), But I will try to speak generally and work with what you have posted.
My suspicion is that the negative top margin you have applied is messing things up a bit.
I also note that it is usually better to apply margins to a CONTAINER of an unordered list (which is what menus are made of), than to apply the margins to the ul itself. So, restore the margin: 0; to the ul.MenuBarHorizontal style selector and create an enclosing element that bears the margin:-45px 0px 0px 200px; though I would still reconsider the use of negative top margin.
It is entirely possible that this simple change will help.
Please post the HTML for the top of the <body> section, including the menu code.

Horizontal spry menu dropdowns not displaying properly in IE7

Hi,
Grateful for any help! I have a dreamweaver template which works fine on a Mac with Firefox and Safari, but when opened in IE7 on a PC the menu bar accros the top is ok but the dropdowns appear as a horizontal list, instead of vertical, and the submenues are not displayed. The site is not available on the web Can anyone advise how to fix this please?
I am using the default Spry code and Dreamweaver CS5, and have run Update to ensure latest versions, on iMac with Snow lepoard - also updated.

Menu bar not displaying in Internet Explorer 8

I recently created the webpage http://sterlingfamilyfarm.com/index.html in Dreamweaver CC.
I tested the site with http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ and http://validator.w3.org/ and all seemed good.
But the menu bar is not displaying in IE8... it's displaying as a bulleted list instead.
Also the footer is not displaying properly (not centered, no background color).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

<header> and <footer> are html5 semantic tags. Old non-html5 browsers (like IE8) don't know how to handle them without a little help.
Add this code to your <head>

Or better yet, download the .js file and add it to your site, then link to it, that way you won't depend on third party servers keeping the file in the same location...

Icon not displaying

I am getting problem in displaying icons in the toolbar.
Before posting here, i have gone through all the threads related to it, but could not get my problem fixed.
Following steps have been followed:
1- created jar file of the GIF images i.e. my.jar. All the images were in the root directory.
2- Copied the jar file to G:\DevSuiteHome\forms\java directory.
3- In the form, in the property of menu item, i specified the exactly same image file name with no extension.
4- Modified the formsweb.cfg file with following changes:
archive_jini=f90all_jini.jar,my.jar
imagebase=codebase
i can access the jar file in the browser using the following url:
http://<servername>:8891/forms/java/my.jar
The platform is Windows 2003 with Developer suit 10g.

Without changing any configuration, however, when i execute the application by entering the following command into the start->run menu
iexplore http://ssi-mmunir.ssilhr.com.pk:8891/forms/frmservlethttp://ssi-mmunir.ssilhr.com.pk:8891/forms/frmservlet?config=summit
then application successfully display the icons in the toolbar.
But when it is executed from form builder, no icons are displayed.
