Dreamweaver CS3 will not launch in OS10.7.5 even with Java plugin.
I installed the Java runtime environment, thinking that would allow me to launch Dreamweaver CS3 in my new OS, but no. I get a blank alert with ! and no message, and no program. Any suggestions? Do i need to do something to get the Java plugin to connect with Dreamweaver??

Did you followed the steps mentioned in http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/install-java-jre-mac-os.html ?
If so, restart your computer and then try installing DW.

After years of using Flash CS3 on our Windows 7 computer, it would not launch. So we did a system recovery -(everted to factory image), re-installed Windows and updates, installed Flash CS3, then successfully did the license verification. But Flash CS3 will not launch.
We copied the Flash Icon from the Start Menu to the TaskBar. This is the icon we clicked on to do license verification, but now we can't use it to launch Flash CS3.

(I realize Flash CS3 is not meant to work on Win 7, but it has for years on this computer and on a Toshiba laptop, also with AMD processor)Well I decided to reinstall OSX to see if that would help,
and that seemed to fix it. I'm still not sure what the problem was,
but a fresh install seemes to have fixed it :] -

Dreamweaver CS3 will not save page
I have few details as I'm troubleshooting for a client, but hopefully someone can help get me to the answer...
Client has Dreamweaver CS3. Been using it for about a year (and before that, earlier versions). One person now cannot save files. After making a change, Save is still gray and keyboard shortcut (ctrl+S) does not work.
Other things I know (via phone conversation):
- Using Windows XP
- Check in/Check Out is enabled, and she is able to check out the file
- Editing on local and uploading to remote
- Other people within organization can save changes to the same pages
- all users have same FTP username and password
- I am using DW 8 and can access, make changes and save to same pages
- She can Save As...
Any ideas will help.

Dreamweaver CS3 will not load up
I went to startup my Dreamweaver CS3 like always and it
would not load. I have been using it fine for months with no issues
and today it just died. I get an error of Program is unable to open
please reinstall or repair files. But nothing else is give for an
error. I removed the program and rebooted and reinstalled. It never
asked me for the serial number I though it is most likley still in
the registry somewhere. I still get same error. Is there a 100% way
to remove all items of DCS3 from my PC and reinstall 100% fresh?

Will not boot from CD/DVD drive even with "C" key pressed
I have a G4 with a hard drive that is (apparently) dead. I would like to boot off the CD drive, but that does not work. I press "C", then turn the power on, continue holding down the "C" key, and the hard drive just makes some clicking noises for about 20-30 seconds, then gives up. The computer will not boot at all. Same thing happens when holding down "Option" instead of "C"
Why would the computer not boot off the CD drive?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Simon in U/Knevermind, managed to sort it although i have now lost everything, never again will i have a sony phone, pile of junk is probably the nicest term i can think of for them, this happened with mine, and my partners was broken (somehow screen smashed without any assistance) within 2 weeks of having it. samsung all the way!

Indesign cs3 will not launch.. (I don't use Trusteer Rapport)
I am running Vista ultimate 64bit. For nearly 2 weeks I have not been able to get Indesign, dreamweaver, illistrator, etc. to open.
When I click InDesign and I get the glowing circle for about a second, then it just stops. I do not use Trusteer Rapport and I have tried to re-install but ID and Dreamweaver, etc. still won't launch. Please help me before I lose it!
I called Adobe yesterday, after being on hold for 35 minutes and another 20 minutes of getting registered some foreign guy told me since I was using cs3 I had to purchase a contract for $40 just so they could help me. since they only offer support for cs4 or some ****.Anything in the event log?
Try running this command from Run: “regsvr32 jscript.dll” with the space, but without the quotes. Sometimes javascript isn't properly registered at manufacture. It won't hurt anything to do this again.
I don't like to tell people to reinstall, but it might be the thing to do in this case. Did you let the installer use the default directory? That's very important on Vista 64.
If you decide to reinstall, uninstall, then run the clean script (Using the new CS3Clean Script) and reboot without any antivirus or spayware scanners, no IM, no browser toolbars, and nothing else you don't absolutley need before running the installer again. The CS3 installer was prone to errors. -
Indesign CS3 will not launch - windows 7
Hi,
I tried starting indesign last night but when I clicked on the launch icon on my task bar the icon glows I get the egg timer thing but nothing happens. I restarted the computer and it worked ok.
Then I tried it this morning and the same problem occured, however no amount of restarted helped this time. Windows did do some updates last night, but it seems that the problem was there before. I've searched on the internet and found a peice saying to restart in safe mode and launch it there, then flick back to standard mode and it should be ok.
When I did this the indesign loads but with a Error 148:3, and closes. Restarting, in standard, nothing has changed. I did some digging on the 148:3 problem and found an adobe fix, this has not worked either.
I have done nothing to the computer recently other than attach a new monitor (and can't really beleive that would be the cause)
I running windows 7 with the latest update.
Can anyone help?

After Effects CS3 will not launch in Windows 7
It appears to have installed properly and I even then installed the update.
But when I click the exe file to start the program, windows asks me if I want to run it... I say yes... then nothing...
If I go to my task manager, it shows it running under processes (but with a *32 after it which I assume means its running in 32 bit) but it is not on my applications list in the task manager.
Nor is it anywhere to be found on the task bar... I have waited a long time for it to launch and nothing...
Any ideas?
It was installed from the CS3 Production Premium disks.
Please help! And thanks!I just got a windows 7 64bit machine and cs3 production installed without any problems. So far I have to run AE in compatibility mode to avoid an error when starting up. It says Please run this program from admin account so it can setup you license. It shows the error twice then runs anyway. I set it to compatibility for vista and no error appears. I think it has something to do with the Media Core, since that's what displays just before the first error.
Could it be you're antivirus or firewall software interferring? Just a guess. -
Dreamweaver 8 will not launch with Windows 8.1
I cannot get Dreamweaver 8 to launch with Windows 8.1 I have searched thru foums and attempted multiple deletes and reloads and restarts etc. I have attempted Admin run without sucess. It is my gut feeing that Adobe want s me to buy a new version.

The versions supported by Adobe are listed at Adobe - Support Plans : Policies : Supported Product Versions.
Dreamweaver 8 was released many years back and both the software and the Windows OS have come a long way since then. While it is possible that there is a workaround solution to make DW 8 run on your computer, Adobe has not tested DW 8 to run on this OS. It is not the answer you were hoping for, I know, but that's the best answer I have for you. A better answer can come only from a user that is running DW 8 on WIndows 8.1.

I called tech support & although I've spent $$$ for master collection CS3 - and so many other adobe programs/software for myself & others.. they are unwilling to offer any support other than a paid issue, which really chafes.

If you can not get the reset window, you are doing something incorrectly.
1. Bridge has to be closed. Check the Task Manager to make sure no copy is running in the background.
2. You have to press and HOLD the Crtl key when you click on the start icon for Bridge.
3. If successful you will get a reset window with 3 options.
