Dreamweaver cs4 in mavericks - Licensing Stopped Workin

I tried to use my copy of Dreamweaver CS4 - which I have used a long time, also on Mavericks, but came out a message stating Licensing Stopped Working Error:3. I contacted support and they told me to reinstall the program. The setup on my original disk, as well a copy I downloaded from Adobe, quits a few seconds after starting the installation. Anybody has info on how to solve the problem?
I have an iMac Mid-2011 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 with 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 prompts for license agreement?

I've had Dreamweaver CS4 installed for months.  I use it for work daily and all of a sudden when I attempt to run it today the License User agreement pops up -- I click on Agree -- and nothing happens!  Any clue what is going on -- was an update deployed?  I'm baffled. I can't get the applicaton to run at all.

I ended up calling support and after working through each of the solutions mentioned in KB405970, I had to completely uninstall, remove some folders, and reinstall.  The entire process was 5 hours and the tech support rep stayed with me during that time.  I was extremely pleased with the support, but I'm baffled as of why this happened in the first place and how to avoid it in the future. A lot of frustration and 4 days of not being able to use my applications
Thank you for your assistance and hope this will help others that could be facing the same problem.

  • License stopped working. Error 150:30.

Re-install of Mountain Lion from Time Machine (BIG mistake) left me with PhotoShop and InDesign CS4 unusable. "License stopped working and Error 150:30" were the messages.
Went online, tried what worked for some people, i.e. deleting Flexnet from ~Library/Application Support and then putting Flexnet file in ~Library/Preferences. Still could not open PS & ID. Interesting that Bridge never had a problem and works fine.
I am out of USA and don't have my install disks but I do have serial number for CS4. Chat was ridiculous. Adobe is certainly wasting money on that outsourced non-help function which took 30 minutes of my time for nothing.
Is there any help for me besides waiting til I get back to USA to get my install disks?
I feel very angry at Adobe for having so little help for me. I've been using PhotoShop since the 80's on PCs and Macs. I wish there were some other program out there so I wouldn't have to deal with Adobe-Snobby who "got above their raisin's."
Oh, and by the way, just in case anyone from Adobe pays any attention to this, when you click "Close" from the Chat window like the intructions tell you, there is NO WAY to complain about "how Adobe is doing."

I fixed the problem myself by using some comments from the Creative Suites CS3 forum: however, with CS4, there is no Trusted Storage File, as it is named below. It is called Storage. And you have to delete the 2 .data files Preferences creates when you reboot.
Also the FLEXnet Publisher file should be in ~Library/Preferences NOT in ~Library/Application Support where I found mine.
Basically PS4 and ID4 would not work until after removing the Service file from FLEXnet Publisher then re-booting and repairing Disk Permissions. After deleting the 2 data files, I replaced the Service file in the FLEXnet folder and both PS4 and ID4 opened easily. Whew. It's been a long couple of days trying to figure this one out! The instructions below helped me figure it out.
Go to: Main HD > Library > Preferences > FLEXnet Publisher > FLEXnet folder (Mac OS) remove the Trusted Storage File (TSF) from the FLEXnet folder and drop it on your desktop.
Restart your Mac > run disk permissions repair (Applications > Utilities > Disk Repair) then launch InDesign - enter serial number - InDesign should now work (fingers crossed)
If all goes well trash the TSF - you won't need it anymore as a new one should have been created.

  • LIcensing has stopped working DreamWeaver CS4 Mac OS 10.9.4

    Have followed instructions here
Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS
    as much as possible.
Solution 1: I don't have [hard drive]/Library/Preferences/FlexNet Publisher/ on my hard drive so can't delete it.
Solution 2: Have tried to run license repair tool in terminal. I type sudo python then drag LicenseRecoveryLauncher.app across, but get invalid syntax returned.
I haven't gone any further than this.
I did have adobe photoshop cc trial on this machine, which I deleted and wonder whether this has now screwed up Dreamweaver (I don't use it so much these days).
    Any help gratefully received, Tim

  • Dreamweaver CS4 and Mac OS X 9, Maverick

After installing Mac OS 9,  Maverick, when trying to open Dreamweaver I get a message that the licensing does not work anymore and the code 150:30. What to do?

I got a similar problem. Dreamweaver quits after a message comes out stating Licensing Stopped Working - Error : 3.
The License Repairing Tool freezes on starting (I tried to reinstall the program, but the installer quits soon after starting).
    I have Mavericks 10.9.2, iMAcMid-2011 3.4GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM.
The program worked, til I had to take the computer to the Apple Service, where they changed something inside (severl programs had to be re-authorized).

  • Dreamweaver CS4 keeps showing a licensing error 150:30. Any ideas?

I am running Dreamweaver CS4 on a MacBook Pro. After a Mac OSX update earlier today Dreamweaver keeps showing a licensing error 150:30 and the only solution on line is not suitable for OS 10.9.5. Any ideas?

The terminal app option worked but after a restart I got the error message again. It worked a second time but then another restart brought me back to the beginnin. Have repaired permissions and tried the other potential solutions. I only use DW CS4 once in a while but I'd love a permanent solution.

Take alook at Step #12 of this TechNote:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405604.html#main_user_config
Start by deleting the configuration/Menus/Cache folder.
If that doesn't fix it, then try deleting the entire configuration folder

  • Changed battery in laptop and now when trying to open dreamweaver cs3, I get "licensing for this product has stopped working"... contact customer support (thats a laugh).  So what now?

Changed battery in laptop and now when trying to open dreamweaver cs3, I get "licensing for this product has stopped working"... contact customer support (thats a laugh).  So what now?
it says:  You cannot use this product at this time.  You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT admin or Adobe customer support for help.
Well it seems I am only able to install this on a maximum of 3 computers so if I uninstall and reinstall I may have used up all three.  What caused this in the first place?

And most licenses extend to 2 machines; not 3.  Your computer's clock probably reset when you changed batteries. Is your computer's clock set to the correct date and time now?

  • How to fix: PS-CS4 Licensing stopped Error 150:30 ?

"Licensing stopped working" after Library Extensions problem on Mac 10.10.3. HD reformatted from ext HD's Time Machine. PS CS4 gave this error when starting it attempted. (Initially, it wanted Java, which I think has been done. The overall job was done at the Apple Genius Bar.)
Restarting has been done a couple of times.

The 150:30 error is a common problem which usually occurs when you recover Photoshop CS4 from a backup or transfer to another computer. The simplest way to clear it up is to re-install CS4. Here is a link to the installers: Download CS4 products
You can use your discs or the downloads from the provided link. Either way, have your serial number ready...
If this fails, I am going to direct you to this thread: 150:30 Start at post #11.

  • "License stopped working" Error Code 150:30 -- PS CS4 on OS X Yosemite

Have both PS CS4 and CD6 on Mac OS X 7.5. Just upgraded to Yosemite. Now PS4 "license stopped working". Only have PS4 upgrade disks because I originally bought PS ages ago and only bought upgrades since. Need to work at least long enough for me to get my custom brushes/patterns, but I would like it to work regularly to use Mustek TWAIN (32 bit)@scanner.

Simply reinstall. Using the downloaded versions might get you by any disk issues.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 stopped with Mac Upgrade

I just bought a new Macbook pro with Yosemite. I migrated all files
    as per a normal upgrade.
Most of my software is working.
But Dreamweaver CS4 won't start up, giving this error message:
"No document types have been found in the
    Configuration/DocumentTypes/ folder.  The
MMDocumentTypes.xml file may be missing or
corrupted. The application will exit now."
    What to do?

Hi:  Thanks.  Your advice might have helped.  In the mean time I upgraded to Dreamweaver CC 2014.1.  That didn't work either.  But with half an hour with a nice guy from New Delhi "Prabs" and with my network admin, we got Dreamweaver connected and working again.  And, forgunately, my school seems to have a site license now, so it won't cost me.
Thanks for your help, which probably would have worked in the end.

Renaming the Configuation folder and then opening Dreamweaver worked like a charm. I was ready to give up on CS4 and I had already gone back to using DW 8. Thank you for sharing- don't think I would have ever solved this without your help. That is what sharing is all about.
    You're welcome  :-)

  • Cannot open Dreamweaver CS4 in Mac OS 10.9.4

When I try to open my copy of Dreamweaver CS4 on my iMac with OS 10.9.4 I get the following alert:

Help! I just need to correct one small bit of text, and I cannot see buying a newer version to do such a small thing.

That is not the same situation. I had the same error today after restoring a Time Machine backup on a new drive. I'm using Os 10.8.5 and CS4 worked just fine with it before the restoration. Here is some help...which so far hasn't worked for me, but it might work for you. ;-)

  • Dreamweaver CS4 not working under MacOS 10.9

on starting DW CS4 it asks for Java Runtime engine 6, but Mavericks has Java v.7 installed. Since Java 6 was part of the OS of previous systems, I cannot install it seperately, besides it would probably cause conflicts with OS 10.9. Do I have to trash my DW, or is there a workaround.
    Thanx

If I follow click the instal button on
I get the progress bar for about 1 sec and then the message about a supposed
    network problem
which is unreal, since my network works perfectly for any other task and I
had even tried disabling the firewall and little snitch. Things are still
    not working
