Dreamweaver CS4 registered users who would like a Preview invite...

I think it would be a good idea for Adobe to reward their registered Dreamweaver CS4 customers (in a small way) by putting them at the front of the line for Browser Lab preview invites. This would also allow more DW CS4 feedback on the DW CS4 features of BrowserLab.
That includes me: tmcalda a_t gmail.com
Others in "the same boat" as me can add their registered email addresses in this thread.

I haven't tried CS4 on a machine with 1024 x 768 resolution, but CS3 had the same minimum requirement, and it worked just fine. The main problem with a small resolution monitor is that the panels on the right overlap the Property inspector. However, with CS4, it shouldn't be a problem if you switch the panels to iconic mode.
As Mylenium says, you can always try it and deactivate the program on your laptop if it's not successful.

Unfortunately logging into your account won't help, because then I don't have access to Illustrator.
I was just trying around a little if you could share it with me, but unfortunately sharing doesn't seem to work with Draw files. You could try and find someone near you who also has an iPad and Illustrator and then try to send it to them via AirDrop. But I don't know if that actually shares the file or just a PNG.
Maybe someone on the Draw forum has an idea how you could send the file to someone else.

I copied this from another thread. I made the important line bold. Make sure that WiFi is turned on if you want to use WiFi first.
After successfully connecting to a wireless network, the network and network settings are saved on your iPad. If wi-fi access is on, when returning within range of a wireless network you have successfully connected your iPad with, your iPad will automatically connect to the wireless network, or it should. If 3G access is on, when leaving the range of an available wi-fi network you have access to, it will switch to AT&T's cellular network automatically. If both are on, your iPad should switch between the two automatically and seamlessly. Your iPad will always connect to the fastest wireless connection available at the time as long both options are enabled. Between an available wi-fi network that you have access to and are in range of and AT&T's cellular network, it will or should be the wi-fi network.

The one you are looking at I believe is an older model and does not have very good reviews for working with an AppleTV2 / iPad 2 setup.

I can't say if the one you are referring two works or not, however I can say that based on the reviews, it looks like you may run into problems with the $45 version.

CS4 Premiere Test I would like to do...

Here is the test I would like to do.
If I could meet just one of the very few peple advising the rest of us that they are having no significant CS4 issues and they have a professional working CS4 PPro set up.
I would like to bring in a few files of my own (P2 720p PAL), start a new project on their system and have a play for a couple of hours . ie edit a TVC project just as I would on my own systems.
I would approach the "test" in a positive frame of mind.
I was hoping I might meet someone like this at the NZ Adobe Roadshow in Auckland next week.
Maybe some of you others could do this where ever you are. If so...report the results back to us.

Maybe someone in your area is interested in doing this with you.
I am hoping it could be beneficial in some way.
eg eliminating OE, determining a working set up, establshing hardware compatibility, isolating the issues and causes...

Who would like 'private collections'

In working with Lightroom with ALL my collections in the same catalog I sorely need the ability to assign viewing privileges with a simple password. The idea is to tag collections or keywords as private, restricting even their names to be seen. That means I don't have to worry about clients (who I often have looking through certain collections) stumble elsewhere.
Anyone else up for this?

Indeed sometime I just want some photos to get out of my view not because I do not want to show them to anybody, but because they pollute my catalog (though I want to be able to find them in the catalog as it helps me access them much faster than by the windows explorer and edit them if needed or reuse them,...)
example:
-I import my raws as DNG, but I keep my raws as well so I would like to hide them I do not need to view them all the time.
-I make (or made before lr came to the world) destructive edition, and kept a copy of the original. same problem here I want them both in the catalog but I do not need anymore to view the originals all the time
-I do panorama or HDR, I do not need the photos that were used to that purpose, to appear in the catalog all the time
-I create videos using time step photos , I do not want all those photos to appear all the time.
-And with LR 4 you can create soft proof copies, I do not want them to appear in the catalog all the time
You could tell me to stack photos, and I do that, but I end up with all of my photos being stacked, and I need to unstack to see why they were stacked, and imagine what the stack looks like if I have a multiple-softproofed destructively edited HDR, panorama, with the dngs and the raws images... Ok I am making up the worst possible case. But you get the idea : the stack does not mean anything more.

Getting to Adobe's “Classic” Support Content
I don't know about you, but I find Adobe's new marketing/upgrade-focused support content anything but supportive. If you visit a support site to find out about using your current product, the following will be most helpful. After coming up with the workaround described below, I found Adobe's non-marketing support content (i.e., the actual information someone is looking for when they want to use their current product) via this link:

This is the Adobe support site with which I am familiar. You can drill down to the specific product you have a question about using the dropdown to the right of the search box.

A Search Engine Workaround
Found a workaround for locating PDF copies of previous versions of Adobe user's manuals: search using Google's "site:" operator. For instance, to find CS4 resources published in US English, go to your browser's search bar (make sure Google is the designated search engine), and type:
site:help.adobe.com/archive/en_US/ CS4
Note: Remember to put a space between the last slash and the search term.
This worked for Bridge and Version Cue, Dreamweaver (help, extending, and API reference) Extension Manager, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Media Encoder, and Photoshop (includes "Extended" features)
Found Acrobat 9 user's manual with: "site:help.adobe.com help.pdf 9" where "help.pdf" is typically at the end of each filename and, "9", would help filter down to the version I was looking for.

There are the occasional mischief makers that pop up every now and then - when a kuler user rates a theme, knowing the name may ease the flare ups of these - I used to feel "the better the theme, the faster the rating will fall" - personally, I have matured enough that I don't do this for the ratings, but it is sad when a great theme goes way down due to a group of pranksters.

...allows u to use the ipad as a proper tablet where u can write on full-sized paper with a stylus like on other tablet pcs! I haven't patented this idea- I give it for free! I have decided that my external HD wasn't organized enough and spent days making folders of special events and by years.
I will point out that none of this organizing in your operating system is necessary, it can be done in Lightroom as well, and you can organize in Lightroom with tools that you don't have in your operating system, tools that are more powerful than your operating system, and tools that were specifically designed for photos (which folders were not). These tools are keywords, captions and other metadata. My suggestion is that instead of moving photos and folders from one place to another to achieve organization, you instead use keywords, captions and other metadata to achieve organization.
