Dreamweaver cs6 doesn't start

hi,
after installing dreamweaver cs6 form creative cloud test version i tried to start the programm.
After a few seconds and a bumping icon in the dock (no splash screen), the icon disappered. and that was all. no dreamweaver.
I already re-installed it. No change.
Here some more information:
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.7.4
Dreamweaver CS6 is not installed on the system disk, but on a second harddrive.
Flash CS6 is installed on this second harddrive too and it works. Dreamweaver does not.
Adobe Web Premium CS5.5 is installed on system disk and it works.
What is wrong with dreamweaver cs6 here?

I am having the same issue. I was able to start DW in a terminal shell using the sudo command stated above. I got the following lines after it started:

My installation was I started with CS5 Master Suite. I used the Adobe Uninstaller and uninstalled all of CS5 Master Suite. I then installed Master Suite CS6. Everything appeared to install correctly.

Dreamweaver CS5 doesn't start, cannot find configuration file

Dreamweaver Could not locate the Resource file in the Configuration folder. This file is required to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall the application.
Dreamweaver CS5 doesn't start due to the error message above.
Found the configuration folder but on my roaming profile on the server, not on C drive.
Note that I installed Dreamweaver on the second partition of the hard disk, not on C drive due to lack of space. Other Adobe CS5 software are running well such as Photoshop and InDesign.
I have tried to delete (after backup) the Configuration folder, as I read on this forum that it should be automatically recreated, but no success. Tried to copy the Configuration folder (in fact the entire Adobe folder) to the user profile on C drive, but no success.
On this PC, no previous version of Dreamweaver has been installed. However, I have used older versions on different computers, and there are in the Adobe folder on my roaming profile traces of CS4 and CS6.
Could you please advise?

InDesign CS6 doesn`t start. It stops at "Starting Up Service Registry" and crashes

When trying to start InDesignI see the Program starting screnn. But it stops at "Starting up Service Registry". Then i get the Windows-message "Adobe InDesign CS6 doesn't work anymore"

Honestly, I'm not a Mac user. But this error flags a warning that JavaVM is not on your system.

I believe Apple stopped sending Java with it's OS owing to some security issues. But I believe you can download it below:

Dreamweaver CS6 doesn't open files

Hi Forum,
I have installed DW CS6 from the cloud on my Mac. I have exported the sites from DW CS3, and then imported them in CS6.
After first time installation, none of my files would open after double-clicking on them ( I allways got the 'design-notes', even if I have switched it off in the site preferences). I could only open them by using right-click -> Open with Dreamweaver
After deleting DW6 and re-install, opening works with one site, but when switching to another site, the same anoying issue happens...
Design notes pop-up and the document doesn't open, only when using right-click -> Open with Dreamweaver.
Looks there is some kind off cache somewhere which is corrupted, but thats only a wild guess.
Please help, because for the time being I am switching back using DW CS3.

Hi Nancy,
its Mac OS X 10.8.2, and all associations are ok. ( Double clicking on a file in the Finder works ok ).
In the meantime I have found the problem;
After deleting the folders of the sites in Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/Dreamweaver CS6/en_US/Configuration/SiteCache, and restarting Dreamweaver, all works ok.

Phonegap and Dreamweaver CS6 doesn't work

Phonegap and Dreamweaver have never worked together for me. With CS5.5 I was never able to build anything with Phonegap and Dreamweaver. I was hoping that with CS6 and Adobe's aquistion that Phonegap might acually work with Dreamweaver, not so. Any time I try and build Phonegap with Dreamweaver CS6 I get the following error:

Dreamweaver CS6 won't start

Windows 7 Enterprise (32-bit) and DW CS6. I've been using it for the past year-ish with no problems, until this past Monday when it refused to launch. I click on the icon and get the twirling circle for a second, then nothing.
Anything I can do to troubleshoot?

That anchors to a sentence with TechNote 14ca38fb the link to which is dead for me. A few of the others worked though, and I managed to get in and rename the Configuration folder. When I launched it again, it made a new Configuration folder, but still no DW.
I'm thinking I'll just call the IT people for a re-install (I don't have the rights to do it myself).

Adobe Photoshop CS6 doesn't start - Crash

Hello everyone,
I have a little problem. I downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Trial) and installed it. When I wanted to start it, it crashed immediately. Is my computer not good enough for Adobe Photoshop CS6? Because CS5 works fine on my PC

Okay, maybe it's my PC which is not good enough for CS6. I don't know... my PC is really old. I should buy a new one someday. But as long as CS5 still works fine, I'm happy with that

Dreamweaver CS6 will not start

I've had this problem for several weeks and thought I had it fixed by resetting the Preferences (http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver-cs4-cs5.html), however, my DCS6 application will not start again, and it seems to happen when I'm out of my docking station, and working from home.
Initally, I uninstalled/reinstalled DCS6 twice, and each time it worked, and then stopped working when I got out of the dock. Then, as I said, I found the documentation to remove the established Preferences. It worked fine in the office, but will not load again working from home.
The DW logo comes up on the screen, but hangs there. It never loads plug-ins or any of the other animations I normally see on the logo screen during a normal launch. The only way to stop the logo is to open Task Manager, locate Dreamweaver(whatever).exe under the Processes Tab and End Task. Dreamweaver is not listed in the Applications Tab.
Fortunately, Dreamweaver CS5.5 wasn't automatically deleted when I installed the new software, and it works fine, so at least I can get my work done.

So I take it that you have also cleared the registry entries as suggested in the document linked in your first post.
So we now need to prove that your Windows Profile isn't the culprit to make DW un-startable. To prove this, create a new user account on your machine (temporary or otherwise). To do this follow these instructions:
To create a user account
To open User Accounts, click the Start button , click Control Panel, click User Accounts and Family Safety, and then click User Accounts.
Click Manage another account. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click Create a new account.
Type the name you want to give the user account, click an account type, and then click Create Account.
Please post back if this worked or not. If it worked then you may want to use this account for your DW work otherwise we need to find some other solution. Make sure the account is Limited if you plan to use for everyday work because creating an Administrator account is not advisable.

Illustrator CC and CS6 doesn't start in Windows 8.1 Preview

When I attemp to run Illustrator on my machine running Windows 8.1 preview I see this error message (In spanish because both my system and software language are in spanish):

Esta aplicación no es compatible con el idioma del sistema operativo actual. Abra el Panel de control "Opciones regionales y de idioma" en el menú Inicio de Windows.
This application is not compatible with the curren operating system language. Open Region and settings in Control panel on Windows Start menu.
I tried switching to Spanish (Spain), Spanish (United Stated), English (United States) and back to Spanish (Chile) with no results.

Are you running the Spanish version of Win 8.1, Conisus?
Have you tried resetting preferences (http://adobe.ly/Ty949V), disable any third party plug-ins and/or launch the software in a new user account with admin rights? http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-windows.html# main_Common_solutions
If the basic troubleshooting steps don't work, would you mind to gather a copy of the crash log, paste it into http://pastebin.com and share the url? You should be able to locate the log by launching the Event viewer and search for the application crash logs of Illustrator.exe. Thanks!

Photshop CS6 doesn´t start anymore

I´ve been having that problem for aubout two days now.
A few seconds after the startup Photoshop closes itselfs. It´s not just minimized it´s completely closed.
I´ve already tried to reinstall Photoshop (i´ve also used the cleaner tool) but it dind´t help.

                 GPU Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB DDR5 RAM
                 free Disk Space 1TB
I am using Photoshop CS6 and Bridge CS6 with all updates installed. I don´t know the exact version.
Troubleshooting steps:     reset Photoshop witch SHIFT+ALT+STRG
                                      deinstall Photoshop, using the Adobe cleaner tool, reinstall Photoshop
I don´t get any error message. I don´t have a problem to open a RAW file, the error also occurs when opening a jpg file.
Due to the fact that I don´t get any error message I think a screenshot isn´t that helpful.
Error discription:     When I try to open Photoshop the loading screen appears and after that the User Interface appears. So far so good. But a 4 seconds after that Photoshop just disappears. It´s not just minimized it´s completely closed - even in Task Manager.
I just figured out a weired thing. Adobe Bridge works perfectly but I cannot deinstall it because it is not listed under Programms.
I hope that´s enough information. If not, let me know.

Dreamweaver CS6 startup crash

I am a Creative Cloud subscriber. Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 fails to start. Receiving long coded error message. Here is what looks like the heart of the error. Tried uninstall/install with no success.
Mac OS X 10.8.2
8 GB RAM

Based on the error message, it looks like the Java Framework is missing from the system and hence causing the issue. Java is not by default bundled with 10.8 (But a prompt should have appeared asking for Java to be installed). Would recommend installing Java directly. The artcile http://printscreenmac.info/install-java-in-os-x-mountain-lion/#.UL7HA4az5GM explains how to install Java on Mac 10.8. This should serve as temporary solution.

What's a good wysiwyg menu widget for Dreamweaver CS6 Mac?

I'm trying to build menus in Dreamweaver CS6 Mac, and started using Spry...then learned that Adobe will no loner be supporting Spry and that it may not be as compatible with browsers in the future.
What's a good alternative wysiwyg menu widget for Dreamweaver that's makes it easy to create horizontal/vertical pop-down menus/sub menus? I'd be willing to pay for it if it's worth it. Would be nice if it worked within Dreamweaver using Design/Spit modes the way Spry does, but not essential. Thanks!

Project Seven are widely regarded for their commercial DW menu extensions.

Dreamweaver CS6 error "out of memory" as standard domain user; works fine as admin level user

i have a recent issue come up: a Dreamweaver CS6 user has started getting an out of memory error as he uses the app. when i login as local admin level user, there are no problems. its a Windows 7 64bit domain client user, so wont have local admin rights.
anyone come across this please.

I would spend some time on the Microsoft site to find the exact error you're seeing. W7 is known for its permissions issues.
If you don't have full rights to the machine, you'll want to bring up the problem with your IT guy/gal.

Dreamweaver CS6 The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).

I have just done a clean install of Windows 8 64BIT on a new SSD, I then installed Dreamweaver CS6 (trial) but when I try to launch it I keep getting the same error: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)".
I have ran chkdsk and no errors were found.
Any suggestions.

The Event Viewer is your friend. That's just a generic crash signature and by itself means not much.
