Dreamweaver cs6 install problems

I've just installed the latest Dreamweaver CS6 update delivered via Adobe updater, and now can't launch Dreamweaver.
Launch fails with the message 'Dreamweaver.exe - Ordinal Not Found. VIC32.DLL'
Running on Windows 7.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Moving this discusison to the Dreamweaver forum. Graphicasm253 it sounds like you are now experiencing a launch failure after you have applied the most recent update for Dreamweaver is this correct? If so did you receive any errors when applying the update? Please follow the link Kglad offered to verify if any errors did occur during the process of applying the update.

I cannot get in the browser of upload new material to my site. I'm working mac os mountain lion.
In de AppiclationSupport is see Adobe, but then no Dreamweaver, in other map i see Dreamweaver. So i cannot remove the language there.
My version is Adobe master collection CS6 uk. I can come in to dreamweaver, but when i klik on idex.php or something else. I get the mistakes.
Please can someone help me, so i get it working again. Hopefully someone know the answer.

It is if i contect with the database of dreamweaver. Maybe if i install dreamweaver again. First uninstall the problem is gone. I don't know what i must do. What must i take a way. Yesterday and the days there before, everything all fine. And know this. It is a real database and javascript errors within dreamweaver. That connect with each orther.
Because on mac os mountain lion and don't do mysql, that i do on windows.
If i know, what i must change, but i don't understand it, because the lines are different, then the page you give the link from. Maybe you know.
Some points i tried. But i cannot find applicationSupport/Adobe/Dreamweaver. It just isn't on that place.
So i don't know where that folder is.
I have install dreamweaver again. And the problem is gone. Hopefully for long.

I have had the client uninstall and reinstall application, Run as Admin (right click>run as admin). Rename the Adobe folder and reinstall checked file permissions. I recieve the same errors. Also, installed the Support Adviser which tells me no errors found?
Windows 7, with Acrobat 9.5.2 installed, Flashplayer 11. This is a ESD install. I have the whole install log if needed.
Could I get links to docs that would allow me to fix this error, or suggestions on how to fix?

Dreamweaver CS6 install failure

I have new Mountain Lion system software on my iMac and bought Dreamweaver CS6. Installation has failed twice, even though I closed all apps and restarted. Help please.

I sent a screen shot of the error messages, which I do not understand. After having a good online chat with one of your tech people, I shut down, restarted, and tried to reinstall a trial version of the Dreamweaver software with all applications closed. (This is what had been suggested.) The download went along fine for awhile and then aborted and left the same error messages sheet. I tried restarting and downloading the full version, but the same thing happened.
I attached those error messages to a previous communication, so they are at Adobe somewhere. If you would like me to attach the screen shot again, I can do that, though I don't see that opeion with this particular chat.
Because there seems not to be an option to attach that screen shot, I will retype the messages here: (hoping I didn't make mistakes, but that's entirely possible!) I hope you can help. Thanks very much. Susan Bingham

Dreamweaver CS6 setup problems

I recently upgraded from CS3 to CS6 and are having some minor issues with setting up a site as well as with certain views.
Site Setup: (first I will explain how I use DW)
I keep all of my customer and my own company sites on an external USB drive in folders named [#Customer sites] and [#Company Sites] respectively. The naming convention is really there just to keep these at the top of the directory listing as access them frequently (the # symbol has never caused any issues with CS3 or previous versions by the way).   I do not ever connect to a remote server nor use any of the built in FTP features in DW as I find they too easily corrupt live websites with the check in/check out feature. So, each website runs 100% on my local computer (with connections to remote DB servers if necessary). I have Win7 Ultimate with IIS installed and running and localhost brings me to the IIS7 page as expected (so we can dispel any issues with IIS). I always set up my testing server to be Local/Network and preview in browser has always worked in the past with no issues. AS far as moving content to the live servers, I have and always will use a separate FTP client for that (never let DW anywhere near FTP)
1) The first thing I noticed after setting up a site is that moving files around (images, CSS, js files), DW will not update any of the links in base files like contact, index, etc. I have removed, re-setup over and over and still no luck here. I do get the prompt to update but it only ask to update links in [ / ] with no file names. This is one of the primary reasons I use DW is that I can update links throughout an entire site but CS6 is not working for me here.
2) Next thing I noticed is that for whatever reason I cannot get 'Live' view to work on even the simplest of web pages. I get a message that states: "Dreamweaver could load the file "M:\". The system reported the error: M:\ contains an incorrect path..".   Again, I have re-checked the setup, the paths in the site definition and all are pointed to the correct location.
I built a simple Fluid Grid page to test feature... here are the relevant site definition settings:
Site name: FluidTest
Local Site Folder: M:\#COMPANY SITES\FluidTest\
Server name: Local
Connect using: Local/Network
Server Folder: M:\#COMPANY SITES\FluidTest
Web URL: http://localhost/fluidtest
Note that I was able to get the Preview in a Browser feature to work once I created a virtual directory under the 'Default Web Site' in IIS but cannot get this to work when I just create it as a new website. Seems localhost only wants to run under the Default website.   Thought about manually turning sites on and off in IIS but should not need to do this with Win7 as IIS is supposed to be able to handle multiple websites. I will likely figure out a work around this annoyance.... just though I would mention it as it is somewhat in context.
Fluid Grid Layout annoyance:
I am sure I am missing a setting somewhere but after creating my simple FluidTest website, I cannot see the Pink Columns in the Grid layout. After uninstalling CS6, removing all traces of Adobe, and re-installing CS6 I still have this issue. I have enable all the Visual Aid settings [ View --> Visual Aids ] and still the Pink Column grid is not visible in any of the layouts for mobile, tablet, or Desktop. Anyone with a solution, please enlighten me.

I know you've used it in the past, but that # symbol is pretty suspicious to me.
Generally speaking DW, and the internet, hate special characters in file paths. Have you tried without it yet?
If you have, and it still doesn't work, I'd reinstall using the Cleaner Tool...

Dreamweaver CS4 install problem on macbook pro

I'm trying to install CS4 on my macbook pro 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo OSx 10.5.8
All the apps install EXCEPT for Dreamweaver. I've tried 3 times unloading/loading and Dreamweaver still shows up shaded on the Install Options window. What can I do?

Is it the first time installation of the master collection on this machine or you uninstaaled and re-instaled it once before, and now when re-installing facing this problem.

CS6 Install problems

I'm having a huge problem trying to install CS6. Goes through the whole install process then says it can't install Indesign or Photoshop. Says it has installed Illustrator and Acrobat but when I try to open them I get configuration error 5. Have tried uninstalling everything and retrying, desktop install from a new account on my Mac, and nothing works. Help please..

Please follow the mentioned steps:
1. Go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers and uninstall all adobe softwares.
2. Run the cleaner tools to remove leftover ruminants: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
3. Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe and rename to Adobe.old
4.~/Library/Application Support/Adobe and rename to Adobe.old : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html
5. Enable root account: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528
6. Try installing in root and launch the software.

Cs6 installing problems

while i was intalling adobe cs6 there was a halt stoping at "installing adobe help" how to solve the problem please tell me.....

when installation stops, open task manager (win) or activity monitor (mac) and terminate the adobe help process. installation should proceed.

Dreamweaver CS6 - install

Installed DW CS6 yesterday on a Microsoft Vista opperating system and it will not open.
When clicked it shows the green DW logo but it vanishes and nothing happens...

I downloaded the trial today (27/06/2007) and begin the

It starts installing, the "LOADING SETUP" screen appears for
a few seconds and then it closes and nothing else happens

Can two different people who have Dreamweaver CS6 installed edit the same website?

AS the title suggests, I'm trying to figure out if it is possible for two different people to make edits to the same website if CS6 is installed on BOTH computers.

Hi,
You can activate the check-out option in the configuration for your site.
Sites/Manage Sites. Then klick the name of your site and click the edit-pen.
Choose Servers, Click the name of the site and then the edit-pen again.
Finally choose the Advanced button and check the "Activate file check-out" box
and fill in name and email.
Now every time you or your partner works on a file on the remote-server
you get a little icon saying that so and so have checked in or out this file.
Also try the Design Notes under Advanced settings that can be handy when
working in a team.

Trial Ver CS6 install Problem

Have installed on Desktop PPE Ver 12 and Lightroom. Want to try trial version of CS6. Do I need to uninstall my PPE 12 and Lightroom? When I try to install trial version of CS6 I get Error Code 1. No matter how many times I have tried it, same results.

Premiere CS6 install problem

I just attempted to install Premiere CS6 on a system that already has Premiere CS5 - it meets all minimum requirements. I also installed After Effects with no issues. The installer gave me 24 non-fatal errors - mostly some temp files it could not remove. The installer now indicates that Premiere CS6 is on my computer, but it isn't there. I do have some folders for Premiere CS6 Family and it shows up in my control panel under installed programs, but I am unable to find it in the start menu or even in the program folder (this is a Windows computer running Windows 7), 8 GB memory and a high-end GeForce card, Intel quad-4 processor. Can I uninstall using the control panel and attempt a reinstall?
Update - I uninstalled Premiere CS6 and tried again - still getting the following errors:

However, the Manager indicates these are optional components - still can't locate Premiere CS6 - it simply isn't on my system!

Palm-harbor please make sure you don't have any Adobe Creative Applications running when you are installing. Also the DW063 and DF024 errors can be indications of file permission issues. If you have closed all Adobe Creative applications but continue to receive the same errors then please follow the steps listed in Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html to adjust your file permissions.
Also you will want to review the install log in it's entirety to determine the locations where you are receiving the DF024/DW063 errors. Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html for information on how to locate and interpret the installation log files.

CS6 install problem

Greetings! I am attempting to install PHOTOSHOP CS6. Can`t get beyond the 18 digit serial no. dialogue box. Only the back button is available. So! Is there a secret sereal no.? Is the install defective. Is the only option to return the purchase to the retail outlet? Thanks

Serial number is given to the user when they buy Adobe software , the serial number allows you to use the software and to authenticate that you are a genuine owner but without the serial number you can try the Adobe Software for 30 days only .
When you start the installation it prompts with 3 options ,
1) Install with Serial number
2) Install as a Subscrition
3) TRY
Click on Try and then it will not prompt for serial number and you can use the software but if you choose the "Serial Number Install" then it is mandate to provide the serial number at the time of installation.

Dreamweaver CS4 install problem, error code 1603

Hi!
I have for some weeks i have download home the trial of Deamweaver CS4 and it works and i was happy..
A few days later i remove the program from my computer..
Now i will install on my computer but it not works, it come upp a error message 1603..
I have all the adobe program install on my computer and i will install DW CS4 but it not works!
And it is a Windows vista computer..
