Dreamweaver CS6 installation stalls at AdobeHelp

I am having Dreamweaver CS6 installation issues:
Tried installing via Creative Cloud 5 times--and installation kept stalling.
Tried Trial version 3 times--and installation stalls at AdobeHelp -- 24%. the "minutes remaining" keeps going up from 9 minutes to 43 minutes and beyond.
Have tried closing & re-opening Adobe Application Manager, re-downloading, using Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, rebooting, etc. & same issue keeps happening.
Any advice?

SOLVED.
I discovered that in Program Files/Adobe there was an old Adobe Help folder from a previous Trial install, never activated. All the folder contents had a 2011 date--so that must have have stalled the new installation.

First, I hope the moderators will cut me some slack for making a duplicate posting. The comments below were posted in the "Creative Suites" community. I just noticed that there is a "Dreamweaver" community. I feel the issues I've raised below are more relevant to the latter.
I recently purchased a Dreamweaver CS6 installation disk and have a valid registration code. The Adobe website has recognized this code as valid.
I started-out by having the installation disk install into a folder on a high capacity (0.5 tb) external drive. This was done while my Gateway PC was still working properly. I did a duplicate installation onto this hard drive (into a separate folder) to accommodate any work I wanted to do on a Dell laptop I also own. For a few days things seemed to work ok on both computers. Then the cursor on my Gateway stopped moving. Several changes of mice failed to resolve the problem. I've written-off my Gateway as "dead." However the Dreamweaver CS6 installation MAY (I can't remember) be on a "local" folder on my Gateway and I am concerned I will have trouble installing Dreamweaver on the replacement I've purchased. I understand one is limited to 2 installations. If needed, can I purchase a license for a third installation? And what might that cost?
After turning-off my Gateway I then went to my Dell laptop to try to work with Dreamweaver there. I felt it was best to install on a "local" folder so I deleted all the Dreamweaver software from the folders on my external drive. Unfortunately the installation disk is still "pointed" to the folders on my external drive. To make matters worse I am now getting an error message which indicates I need to install into a folder on the "local" drive of my Dell laptop. But the installation disk won't allow me to change the path. On the installation disk the "path" to my external drive is faded-out and it will not allow me to delete and type-in a new path.
I've spent what, to me, are big bucks on this Dreamweaver disk. It's the only website building software that seemed to get consistently good reviews. However, for me, Dreamweaver is becoming a nightmare! I'm very much of a novice at website building. I don't know how, in the world, I will be able to a) Create something, and then b) Get Dreamweaver to put it onto what is now a blank webpage. I recently got "Dreamweaver CS6 The Missing Manual" and "Dreamweaver CS6 For Dummies." So far I haven't been able to find anything, in either of these two books, which addresses the issues I've raised here.

Have you tried calling Adobe Customer service? They can deactivate one of your installations so that you can install and run on a new system. And perhaps they can help with your other problem, or send you to a tech support rep who can.
With regard to your use of DW, I'd strongly suggest that you take advantage of this downtime by learning as much HTML and CSS as you can absorb. Multiple sittings would be helpful. The more you know about those two, the easier DW will be for you when you eventually get it going.

You can try the link below and download and install Dreamweaver CS6.
During the installation process you would need to select the option to insert Serial number to authenticate.
Download CS6 products
Select relevant file as per your operating system.

Did you discover any additional errors in your installation log? The DW063 error when seen in it's entirety should point you to the directory that the installer is having problems installing too. Dreamweaver CS6 Installer: Proxy Password Error

I am trying to install a trial version of Dreamweaver CS6 using the Adobe Download Asisstant. I am able to download the .dmg file and open. I am able to start the installer, enter my adobe user name and password, then I am prompted to enter my proxy user name and password. After entering my proxy user name and password (correctly!), I receive an error message that says "Proxy Password: Unable to authenticate user. Please check the user name and password and try again". So, after numberous attempts, restarted, checked with IT about user name and password (confirmed correct), network and internet are working correctly, and we have turned off my firewall for my IP address AND still not able to get past this proxy password error message. I have even tried deleting the .dmg dreamweaver file and re-downloading, but still unsuccessful. Can anyone help me?

SCFoundry where are you inputting your proxy information? Are you utilizing the Network preference panes advanced options? Have you tried inputting your username and password there so that credentials are already available?

When using the prodesign site you need to follow the Note: Very Important Instructions section verbatim in order for the download to work properly. Those steps essentially set you up as signed in to the Adobe site so that the files can be downloaded.

Installation issues including AAM, Dreamweaver CS6 and Phtoshop CS6

Hi Everyone,
This discussion is a continuation of a thread that was started in the 'Creative Cloud' discussion forum. It's important to read this discussion first to get a background regarding the underlying issues first.
To continue, this new discussion will keep the issue in the open - I don't want it hidden away as I believe others may benefit from suggestions and issues along the way.
Quick recap:
My UK organisation purchased 6 licences each of Photoshop CS6, Dreamweaver CS6 and Acrobat 10 via an Adobe License Certificate.
The license keys were given to me to download and install the software.
I downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/downloads but on installing was told that the key was invalid.
Contacted Adobe support several times and finally found that the software had to be downloaded from https://licensing.adobe.com.
Didn't have an account as these are held by my organisation's purchasing team.
Adobe added my details to my company's account eventually.
Downloaded and installed the software.
At fisrt I used the software and, as with most software rushed through for a deadline, discovered various bugs (mainly in Dreamweaver it has to be said, as I haven't really had chance to use the other two products yet). So...
Attempted the automatic update process. This failed due to restrictions on our firewall.
Checked the Adobe site which said check the log files. Checked the log files and found a warning (this is detailed in the other post metnioned above).
Chatted with Adobe support twice at this point to try and pinpoint the issues. They suggested downloading the updated updater(!).
Dreamweaver update process went 65% of the way through before freezing with 5 seconds left on the clock and Photoshop failed altogther saying that the updater was invalid. Dreamweaver gave me the error number U44M2I218, as discussed in the other thread by Ken.
I completely uninstalled every Adobe product, including Flash and Air
and ran the Cleaner Tool.After reinstalling and attempting the upgrade process for only Photoshop and Dreamweaver I received the same issues as discussed previously.
For some reason this caused issues with my OS and I've had to rebuild. This time I'm running Windows 7 instead of XP SP3, but these products are not getting installed until someone from Adobe
can give me clear direction as to what I need to do.
To bring this up to date I received a PM this morning from Jeff Wright. The message reads:

Now a new SSD is installed and every time I try to reinstall DW CS6 the error " inconsistency in the installation programm database" (in german terms) occurs. I tried to delete everything concerning to CS6, rebootet and so on - nothing worked. Two hours later I tried to install DW 5.5 - that worked. Afterwards I tried again to install 6.0 - without success. Can anybody help?

Meanwhile I solved the problem as follows: I searched for "dreamweaver" everywhere an deleted everything I could find. Then I searched for "CS6" and did the same. I guess there were around 20 or more places where I deleted directorys or files. Suddenly the installation did not stop at 2 % what it always did before and the installation was a success :-) It cost me more than 4 hours to figure that out and I did not find a really helping hint somewhere. Adobe itself I could not contact because I could not find an email adress or a phone number - poor support for such an expensive software. For luck I did not have to deliver something just in time. Lacking a useful support is a really poor, poor attitude of Adobe... I think I will not buy anymore Adobe products - it could cost too much of my time... :-(

I'm trying to Install Dreamweaver CS6 and Installer sticks on both machines at 25% - any ideas?

after some misapprehensions manage to start off the above install however the installer sticks on 25% on both machines (both virtual devices) located in India. The Install hasn't failed yet - but the machines are up to 51 mins / 134 mins and climbing but refuse to go past 25% - any thoughts?

In regards to your installation failure you will want to review the installation logs. Dreamweaver CS6 package installation silencieux

Bonjour @ tous,
Je suis en train de péparer un pacakge de déploiement de Dreamweaver CS6 via le CD d'installation. J'utilise la Creative Suite Design Premium CS6 avec l'outil application manager Enterprise 3.1.
Tout ce passe à merveille et j'arrive dès lors à déployer l'allplication comme je le souhaite.
Cependant, dès que je lance l'application Dreamweaver sur mon réseau Pro, celle-ci fais des requètes sur internet et me demande 2 fois l'authentification sur notre proxy internet. L'une a cause d'un outil placé à droite de l'écran au premier démarrage de l'application et l'autre bien plus obscure puisque je ne sais pas ce qu'il fais exactement.
j'ai utilisé un outil type 'wireshark' pour avoir plus de détails, il semble qu'au lancement de l'application, dreamweaver essaie de joindre un site du type http://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/swz/crossdomain.xml .Si je tape cette addresse sur un navigateur authentifier via proxy, je vois bien le fichier xml à l'écran.
Hélas nos équipes réseaux ne me permetterons pas de déployer ce package si il fais des requètes sur le proxy à chaque démarrage de l'application. Ce qui m'amène à la question suivante :
- Existe t'il un moyen de désactiver les services qui font des requètes sur internet une fois l'application lancée ?

PS: C'est vraiment, ennuyeux pour les utilisateurs ce genres de choses tout de même.

Problème d'installation dreamweaver CS6

Je suis sur mac et j'essaye d'installer la version d'essai de Dreamweaver CS6 (pas la CC). Quand j'ouvre l'installation le même message d'erreur apparait à chaque fois:
J'ai tout supprimé, redémarré, rien à faire. Je ne trouve aucune info sur internet et je suis bloquée!

CS6 Adobe Extension Manager opens in Dreamweaver but then stalls and never opens anything, nor can I install anything.
I have removed and installed the Ext manager twice, no help at all.

Apologies that you have been facing this issue with Extension Manager, can you please follow below steps and let us know if that works for you.
Sorry we do not have a clean workaround for this issue, There is a slightly destructive workaround, where in all your previously installed extensions for all Adobe Products will be removed, you will need to make note of all the extensions installed for each Adobe Product and install them one at a time after you have followed the below steps.
1. Goto Below folder and Delete it completely
     Win : C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6
     Mac : /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS6
2. Goto Below Folder and Delete it Completely
     Win : %Appdata%\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6
     Mac : ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS6
Please notice the difference in the Mac path, there is an extra "~" for point no. 2
3. Uninstall Extension Manager CS6 with Remove Preferences.
4. Now install Extension Manager CS6
