Dreamweaver CS6 Library Updating Problem

When updating my menu, which is a Library item, using Dreamweaver CS6, after the initial update sequence the program keeps trying continuously to update related files but will not complete the update. After I cancel the update it initiates the update again and again does not complete the update. The original complete update actually works but the continuous updating cycle make it so I have to close the program and restart to even work on the site.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I am using the Creative Cloud subscription for CS6. I am using the Windows 7 professional platform.

Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Save a library item that is referenced in a simple html file
2. When saving the template it correctly asks me if I want to update the above HTML file. When I click update it immediately comes up with a second update box without saving the library item again. It is instant.
3. Above HTML is never actually updated.
Expected results: It should only me once per save to update files that the library items are referenced in. CS5.5 did not have this problem.
The only solution I found was to remove the library item from the HTML template and re-add. That fixes it which definatley leads me to believe it is a bug in the CS6 library.

Dreamweaver CS4 Library Update Pathing Problem

Hi folks,
I've been using Dreamweaver since version 3, but I just
recently encountered a very strange problem which breaks my ability
to update my site with library items. When the problem occurred, I
tried creating a new site definition and the update process worked
until I made a change to the remote host directory for the site.
Once I made that change, the host directory is now somehow part of
the library path even though the host directory does not exist in
my local folder structure.
For example, the correct path to my library item in my
templates and pages is:
"/library/footer.lbi"
However, if in the Site definition window I add the following
entry to the Remote Info category:
Host directory: ABC (or ABC/ as Dreamweaver redefines it)
I get this error message when trying to update the site's
pages (even after rebuilding the site cache):
item E:\My Documents\Web
Sites\www.abc.com\library\footer.lbiE:\My Documents\Web
Sites\www.abc.com\library\footer.lbi contains an invalid path.
When I add the library item to a page (after the Host
Directory change), then this is the path it creates in the Web page
to the library item (and thus causes the error message above):

I resolved this issue a few months ago. I'm sorry for the delay in a response--multiple career syndrome and online classes are the culprits.
I believe the solution was removing an entry that Dreamweaver had automatically entered in the HTTP address field of the Local Info category on the Advanced tab of my site definition. If my memory serves correctly, Dreamweaver had entered the Host Directory from the Remote Info tab after the HTTP address' domain and somehow this affected library updates. (I have no Testing Server settings entered, by the way.)
Here are answers to your numerous questions as a courtesy, albeit much delayed:
Question: "is this a regular site or an RDS site?"
Answer: I am not familiar with the RDS acronym. I will assume that this may be an acronym referring to data in some way, such as the now deprecated Microsoft Remote Data Services technology. The generic problem posed in my question refers to a static site without any database components.
Question: "Is the icon next to the topmost folder in the local side of the Files Panel a folder icon, or a network icon? [two tiny computers with a wire between them]"
Answer: The icon next to the top identifier or container for my site in the Files Panel under Local Files is always a folder in all of my sites.
Question: "is the Library folder in the root level of the local site folder?"
Answer: Yes.
Question(s): "what kind of drive is E? is it a removable or a network drive? Or is it in your computer?"
Answer: Drive E is an internal hard drive partition in my computer.

The update is a little weird, it drops some key features of Dreamweaver that are very useful like expanded tables mode for one thing, however if you don't use this go ahead and upgrade - there are instructions for what you do BEFORE you update on the page for the link above. It WILL wipe out any preferences that you have setup so you have to export those before updating to make sure that you can add them back once the update is finished.
Upgrade instructions below - remember to read the document linked above first. Good luck if you decide to upgrade, I personally wouldn't until they fix all the new problems, but it sounds like you have a specific need in mind.
Upgrade to Dreamweaver Creative Cloud
This 12.1 upgrade includes fixes from the earlier Dreamweaver 12.0.1 patch release.
Open Dreamweaver.
Select Help > Updates.
In the Adobe Application Manager, select the Dreamweaver update.
Click Update.

Dreamweaver CS6 file update issue with template

I am working my way through Adobe's Dreamweaver CS6 Classroom in a Book on an iMac computer. I'm in Chapter 9 and have placed some button links in a webpage within the template. But when I go to update the about_us.html file from the template, the update indicates that it will only update files from Chapters 6 & 7. Thus I cannot update the Chapter 9 about_us file (or any other files in Chapter 9 I'm presuming). What can I do? I do not know how I can manually update the link html statements in the about_us file because they are greyed out (inactive, due to button region locking that was done in Chapter 7. I'm really stumped and blocked from continuing, so I sure could use some help. Thank you in advance!

It's hard to say what you could have missed, if Templates aren't done just right, things can go wrong fast.
I would go back to chapter 7 (the last point things seem to work correctly) and redo everything up to chapter 9 to make sure I didn't accidentally skip any steps. Pay particular attention to any step pertaining to creating new pages from templates or applying a template to an already existing page.

Dreamweaver CS6 - SWF file problem.

I use Dreamweaver CS6, I've inserted a SWF file to my index.php which is on localhost (XAMPP). When I try to preview my page (from chrome or IE or Dreamweaver Live), It asks for Flash Player 16. I have installed it but still asking for it. Any solutions?

I think you're spinning your wheels with Flash. Nobody I know has used it in production web sites for several years. Best advice, switch to modern equivalents like HTML5 video or jQuery, CSS3 and HTML5 animations. You'll have fewer problems and reach a much wider target audience.

Dreamweaver CS6(MacOSX)をupdate後「テーブルモード」が表示メニューから消える

はじめまして。
Dreamweaver CS6（creative croud版）をMacにインストールして使用しているのですが、
Application ManagerにてDWのアップデート通知がありましたのでアップデートしたところ、
メニューの[表示]→[テーブルモード]が無くなってしまいました。
このため、[テーブルモード]→[拡張テーブルモード]を選択することができなくて困っています。
このモードに切り替えるためのショートカットキー「option(Alt) + F6」キーも
アップデート後に反応しなくなってしまいました。
これは仕様なんでしょうか…？
どなたか解決方法をご存じの方がおりましたら、ご教授ください。
宜しくお願いします。

CS6 Infrastructure update problem. Attn:Todd

Hey folks,
My Adobe Application manager is saying that I need to update several programs, Extension Manager, Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, Prelude, Premiere. The update required for all of these programs seems to be a common file called "Adobe CSXS InfrastructureCS6". When I try to install this, via the updater, the updater crashes my whole system. (Mac osX.6.8 CS5.5 still installed). I called adobe tech support and talked to them, and they recommended creating a new user account and trying the update. I did this and still got the crash. They then recommended that I try installing the file manually. I can't find a manual installer for this file anywhere on the Adobe website. The guy that I talked to was a premiere support guy, and insisted that there were no updates for Premiere CS6, and that there was no one to talk to about problems with files common to several programs, he suggested I try forums. I asked to speak with a manager, and he put me on hold for 10 minutes at which point I gave up. I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has a similar issue.
I was also hoping Todd would read this and refer me to someone who can help as normal Adobe support channels have been no help.
Addendum: After having to force reboot my machine several times trying to do this update, my machine started to hang in other ways. I decided to restore by boot drive from a time machine back up from two weeks ago when my machine was rock solid stable. My machine now seems to be acting fine, although the InfrastructureCS6 update still crashes. It no longer takes down my system when crashing though. I only tried it once since the restore. I'm a little afraid to try it again. I want to be able to keep my adobe software up to date though.

I'm obviously not Todd, but I ran the updater without incident on my tower and laptop (both on 10.6.8). I suspect your problem isn't Adobe-related, but rather Mac-related.
I suggest routine maintenance, then try again. Repair Permissions. Run Disk Warrior. Zap the PRAM occasionally (hold p,r, option and command on boot, and wait for two or three chimes before letting go), and try booting in Safe Mode (hold shift on boot) before running the updater. And/or, try creating a new user with Admin privileges, and try again.
You could also consider un- and re-installing CS6.

Dreamweaver CS6 CC Update hangs at 12%

Hi guys ...
New to Creative Cloud and had a number of updates available today. Most of them installed fine, but DW CS6 update 12.1.1 just hangs at 12% when installing.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Can't get through to Adobe support ... everything just says "we are busy" (sigh)
The only way I can kill AAM is by restarting the machine once I get to this point, and another attempt to start the update does exactly the same thing

A very nice man from Adobe Customer Care just called and helped me to resolve this.
Maybe a glitch in AAM he thought, so he just applied the update via Dreamweaver's Help menu. All sorted now

Dreamweaver fail to update, problem while installing CC (2014) ? Code 15 ?

While attempting to update Dreamweaver CC(201) it failed to complete the update. The dialog box suggest to restart the computer, witch I did, but still not updating. Any cue ?
On a MacbookPro, everything from Creative Cloud is fine except two upgrade eg. Dreamweaver CC(2014) and EdgeAnimate CC(2014).

N73 Music Library Update Problems

The N73 is a very good phone that is so feature rich. However, it is extremely volatile.
Every other person has a different issue with it. I keep hearing of issues that I never experience, and people do not seem to have experience my issues.
Firmware 27.0628.0.0.3 (Latest Version) - Just updated a few days ago
My Issue:
I have a Kingmax 1GB Mini-SD Card
I load it up with music (fully)
I then Ask the Music Player to update my music library (It sometimes does it automatically or when I start the player)
Then either for no reasons or when I add or remove tracks, the tracks available go from 180 to 112,8, 32, or 4 songs available. I can still see and play all the songs on the file manager, but the music player will not update the songs.
The only way I solve this is by copying the songs out of the SD card, formatting the card, and then copying the songs again. It is a painstaking process. But it happens again and again, sometimes when I dont even make changesHas anyone else experienced this and do you have a solution?

Hi Every1, I am having the same problem.
I Have had my N73 ME for quite a while now & it never failed me until now. A few days back for no reason at all the Music Player got screwed up.
There r 2 problems. First when I add music to the phone via Nokia Music manager from the PC the files r added to the memory card (E/Sound/Digital, mp4 format at 48kbps) but r not added to the Music Player Library of the phone. This never happened b4. I tried evrything including formatting the memory card (several times) but nothing works. Some transferred songs do appear in the Library...sometimes a 100, sometimes 115 etc but after that no more songs r added to the Library even though they r in the memory card & can be accessed from there.
Secondly, at the same time this problem started, the Music player malfunctions all of a sudden. The buttons & menus disappear all of a sudden & for no reason & I have to restart the phone.
I even updated the phone firmware to the latest but that didnt help. So plz if any1 can tell me the cause & the solution for this problem I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

Creative Cloud pops up with trail will expire in 0 days when I run Dreamweaver CS6

When I click on the icon for Dreamweaver CS6 a panel for Dreamweaver CC pops up with the message “Your trial will expire in 0 days” “00 days remaining. It offers “Buy Now” and “Continue Trial”. When I click the red x to close out I am returned to Dreamweaver CS6.
I reinstalled Dreamweaver CS6 but the problem persists. I do not want Dreamweaver CDC.

I am at a loss at to what to do now. Please help.

This is odd. What made them think I joined Creative Cloud? The Creative Cloud program is not installed on the computer and I have not downloaded Creative Cloud trial version or a paid version.
GOAL: My goal is to eliminate the CC pop up that occurs every time I access Dreamweaver CS6. I am satisfied with Dreamweaver CS6. I do not want to lose the CS6 capability. I do not want Creative Cloud trial version or the paid version.
So far I have been unable to remove the pop up and I can’t find a way to phone or e-mail Adobe Technical Support. When I received the CC Welcome message, I considered the following approach:
1.    Accept the invitation to Get Started and install the 30-day trial version
2.    Use the CC Cleaner Tool to uninstall Creative Cloud.
This approach might work. It is equally possible it would further complicate the problem.
Should I accept the CC invitation to Get Started with CC and then use CC Cleaner to uninstall the Creative Cloud program? Is there an alternative approach that will work?

Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 Javascript error

I was using adobe dreamweaver CS6 Without any problems
But today i tryed to open adobe dream weaver and i get A lot of javascript errors like MMinit.htm and many other startup errors.
When startup errors end then the program is starting but when i do something, example opening an html or something i get a lot more java script errors and then the program crash
I uninstalled adobe dream weaver and installed it again but still the same problem after reinstall

Even after a plain reinstall, DW will leave files behind that can affect your program. If you uninstall, make sure to run the Cleaner Tool before you reinstall to get a completely fresh installation of the program...

How can I find (or at least get specs of) Dreamweaver CS6 layouts in Dreamweaver CC?

Hello!
I'm a student taking a course in web design, and many of our assignments require that I use liquid layouts from Dreamweaver CS6. The problem is that I have Dreamweaver CC (which cut out many of the templates), and buying the older version for this class seems silly.
Does anyone know where I can find the standard set of CS6 layouts to download? If not, does anyone know where I could at least find specs on those layouts? I'm proficient at coding and web scripting, but I don't want to be docked class points because I set a width to 75% instead of 80% or used an inconsistant class name.

If you have DWCC, you can also install DWCS6 for free as part of your CC Subscription...

FWIW, DWCC removes those old layouts because they were viewed as either redundant (since they were just variations of a base layout) and/or not current HTML standards compliant.
You can download DWCS6 and have access to all of them, open one, save it into your site and switch back to DWCC if you like.
As far as I know, they can't be added back into DWCC, but you get both programs as a CC subscriber, they just don't run at the same time.

Why won't Dreamweaver CC open proto files, while Dreamweaver CS6 does

I just found out that Dreamweaver CC gives an error when trying to open an Adobe Proto file: "error extracting the proto file".
That's weird, because Dreamweaver CC uses the same plugin/extension as Dreamweaver CS6 does, or am I missing something here...
Opening the same proto file in Dreamweaver CS6 works without problems.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

This is annoying but i was able to open it on my mac os x laptop using the following steps:
Copy the .pro file to a location on your computer and change the file extension to .zip
Using Terminal i was able to use the following command (the default unzip application could not unzip it for some reason) in the command prompt: unzip file.pro.zip
In the Renditions folder that gets unzipped you will find an html.zip (actual filename) file.
Unzip html.zip (the normal unzip application works on this file)
Set the local site directory to the extracted html directory. You can then edit the site using DreamWeaver CC.
