Dreamweaver CS6 Non-cloud version

Since the Adobe training videos seem to be done on the cloud version and the non-cloud version does not have the same options (i.e. insert header, insert nav, insert aside...) is there a training video available for the non-cloud version? If not, does anyone know how to insert these items short of coding it all by hand?

Videos tend to gloss over the finer points.  I recommend this 5-part written tutorial by David Powers.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 (non-cloud) won't "put" files

Recently updated Dreamweaver off Adobe site, from CS4 to CS6, Windows 8.1. Read many of this same complaint. My "About Dreamweaver" screen says CS6, version 12.0 Build 5861. I am connected to my remote server and it appears to "put" but doesn't. Need help

The latest version of Dreamweaver CC 2014 is now available for download.
Download it from https://creative.adobe.com/ or directly through the Creative Cloud desktop app.

  • Updates to the non-cloud version of dreamweaver cs6

I have the non cloud version of Adobe Dreamweaver cs6 version 12.0 Build 5861
Is there an update for this?  I see that there are some for the cloud version.  Are they only updating that, and the folks that bought the CD are out of luck?
Looking like maybe there was some phonegap updates that might be useful plus some other small issues I have might have been fixed?

The last patch/bug fix released for CS6 on perpetual license was 12.03 update which can be obtained from the link below:
    https://www.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/downloads_updaters.html#dwcs612712
That's all there is. No further updates are expected.

  • Auto-updates disabled in CS6 non-cloud the same way as in CS5/CC?

    Hi,
is this procedure to deactivate auto-updates http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/disable-auto-updates-application-manager.html  the same for CS6, non-cloud?
    thanks.

yes it is. (and adobe's policy is to ignore non-cloud questions because this is the cloud forum, but there is no non-cloud forum, and the single program forums won't answer that kind of thing either. I did pay for this application.)

  • LR5 versions, catalog compatibility and latest non-cloud version

    I've been using LR3, then 4 now 5 - I was running 5.3.
However, my HDD crashed so I rebuilt my Win7 OS, reinstalled LR5, but it's now the cloud version (which I don't have a licence for). Even more frustrating (or maybe it's a blessing in disguise), my LR5 catalog is NOT compatible with LR5.7.1 ?!? It says it's too old.
I've searched, but cannot find any documentation saying there's a compatibility issue between different versions of LR and when I upgraded from 4 to 5, it managed a catalog upgrade. Now I'm doing a "minor" upgrade, it cannot read it ?
Where is there a compatibility matrix showing which catalog version can be read / upgraded by which LR versions?
Bearing all that in mind, I think I'll stick to my previous non-cloud version of LR, but my question is which version should I use and will it be compatible with my catalog backup.
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my rant )

    Hi Jim,
    Thanks for your reply.
I've calmed down a bit now And managed to download 5.7.1 standalone in non-cloud version. But the problem remains.
    Or:
Does that mean my catalog is corrupt?

  • Compatability between cloud and non-cloud versions

I'm pretty sure there will be no compatability problems between the same versions of cloud and non-cloud products. But what about the feature updates that are mentioned as a benefit of the cloud products. How do they effect the file format. Does it depend on whether or not I use a certain feature? Will these updates only provide features that don't change the file format? For example: If I have version 6.0 of non-cloud InDesign on one computer and 6.? of cloud InDesign with some new feature that hasn't made it into the non-cloud release yet, can I save a file with the cloud version and open it with the non-cloud version?

    Hi ,
We really apologize for all the inconvenience which has caused you.
Yes you can open the files from recent version into 1 or in some cases 2 versions back by following the different workflows for each program
For example in In Design you can save the file as IDML and open in the previous version.
In the meanwhile if these steps doesnt resolve your issues you can contact Adobe support by following the link below:

  • About DreamWeaver CS6 Midel Est version

I bought Adobe Creative suite premium CS6 for Middle East, to write Arabic in all Adobe software, I was able to do it in Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop but not in Dreamweaver CS6  but i didi it with DreamWeaver CS5.5. Do you have a solution ?

    hosseinyz:
This is a forum for users to help each other.   Please address your comments to ordinary people who have similiar problems.  Maybe you will find another user with a similar problem who has found some kind of solution.   But please realize that none of us can change Adobe.    I think some (maybe many) of us have been equally frustrated at some time.
As far as removing your previous post...  Adobe moderators might have done that.  Maybe not. I have seen some strong criticism of Adobe that has not been removed.  And, anyway, your current post is here now.
I'm just an independent DW user in the U.S.:   I hear you!   I also am very frustrated with the lack of RTL text support in Dreamweaver, even though I use RTL text only rarely.  As you apparently use RTL all the time, I can imagine your frustration.
Please help me understand:  Is your problem symmetric with mine?  DW supports LTR English. My content is almost all English.  I have problems only when I try to use short texts in an RTL language in my English pages.   You use a RTL script, Arabic, almost all the time. Correct?  Does DW support writing in Arabic only?  Do you see problems only when you add a little English?
In my opinion, the issues are these:
    1. MacOS has long supported both RTL and LTR --bidirectional (bidi) text, correct?   If so, why didn't Dreamweaver support RTL text a long time ago, without a need for a special ME version?
    2.  What is going on in MacOS 10.8?   Please provide a few links to articles in English about the new problems.
My guess:  the early DW versions (not built by Adobe) handled text in a unique, non-standard way.  Maybe at the time, there were very few standards and all of them were LTR-only.   Adobe took over the product.  They evaluated DW, and decided which portions to update.  The choices were based on actual, current customers.  LTR English was the clear priority.  As the existing design supported LTR English, no improvements were made.  To Adobe, it probably seems very difficult (expensive) to use the Apple universal text support.
Since DW CS6 is new, you must have recently purchased it.  Check the technical support for your ME product. In the U.S., anyway, there is a period of free technical support for DW.  I hope it is similar in your region.   Another possibility in the U.S.  is to return the product as "faulty" and get a refund.
Please look for a forum in Arabic on Dreamweaver or on general web development.  You may find others with similar problems.   Maybe someone has discovered a work-around.
I have used DW CS6 with RTL text only a very little.  So far, maybe I see a little bit of improvement, but the basic problems.
For the moment, for RTL text I use,  I am slowly experimenting with HTML directives like  dir="rtl" align="right", working mostly in Code View.

  • Using Dreamweaver CS6 Physical Boxed Version

Last year I had the full Adobe Cloud membership, but this year, I only need Photoshop/Bridge so I got the special 9.99/mo version..  I already have a new boxed copy of Dreamweaver 6, so I didn't need to buy it through the cloud, but I want to make sure how I set it up since my computer has the downloaded cloud version on it still.  Do I need to UNINSTALL that version and then reinstall my boxed version??  or will Dreamweaver on the computer currently still work, and I just have to put in my serial number?  Thanks..  Please let me know how to proceed because when I open up DW it still opens.. so I don't know why it opens since I only have Photoshop and light room currently through the cloud.
Thanks.. Just want to make sure I get this set up correctly and I don't want to get billed for DW  ..
    Rick

Your subscription probably hasn't completely run out yet or the program hasn't phoned home to find out the subscription is expired.
If you want to delete DWCC, go for it. Though, you can have both versions installed at the same time on the same machine, they're separate programs.
Before you delete DWCC, I would suggest going to Site > Manage Sites > Export to export a .ste of any site's you've created with it. That way, when you install DWCS6, you can just import those .ste files and not have to re-enter all of your site settings manually.

  • Problems burning Blu-Ray DVD with Encore CS6 Creative Cloud version

I recently installed Premiere Pro CS6 from Creative Cloud on a high performance PC. Everything works fine but Encore Blu-Ray burn will not finallize... get error message after most of disc is burned. Have tried several burns without success. Same files burn okay with Cyberlink software. Seems to be a bug with CS6 Encore files.
Have tried with Cyberlink removed from machine.... same problem.
    Any suggestions??

The error is: Blu-ray Error, "device error", Code "3", Note, "AS-StorageError = 97071
I imported one HD Blu-Ray MPG file encoded in Premiere Pro for Blu-Ray DVD about 4GB in size.  It was set-up with simple "Play menu".  It burns up to the point of finalization, then the above error message occurs.
I insstalled a second Blu-Ray burner (different brand) and attempted another burn but with same error message.  Also tried different brand of discs.
I have a second computer that I had previously loaded the trial version of Permiere Pro CS6, then later opted to do complete install via Creative Cloud.   CS6 Encore will burn a Blu-Ray disc on this system with the same file without any problem or error messages.
It seems to be a problem with the Creative Cloud installation on the first computer???

  • How do I redownload and install CS6 (non cloud) onto my new drive?

My drive was recently corrupted and replaced. I had purchase CS6 premium before Creative Cloud was introduced. I have the order number. How do I download and reinstall CS6 onto my new drive.
    Thanks.

    Hi John Waller,
    Thanks for the installer link.
I have downloaded the package but when I entered the serial number it says "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."
And I was prompted to select a product. My purchase was for "Design and Web Premium, version 6" and it is not listed in the list provided. I have tried all of the CS6 options and they don't work. It says "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another."
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

  • Any one else have Microsoft C++ runtime error in Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 (non cloud version)

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for 9 months successfully with no issues.  Last night, for no reason, it stopped working , giving me a Microsoft C++ runtime error.  I have tried every trouble shooting suggestion, including resetting the computer, deleting recent updates, disk cleanup, etc.  I finally un installed the program, and when I attempted to re-install, it got almost to the end of the install, and then I get a message " The installation process encountered an error using Shared Technologies".   Can anyone help me?  Technical support for store bought copies of this program is non existant.  It took me 2 hours to find a  phone number that works and that was only for cloud users, and the only support they offer is a chat room , which disappeard from my screen this morning, and is no being offered at least today.   I must have this program for my photography classes I take 2 x a week.  Please help!

Moving this discussion to the Photoshop Elements forum.

  • The future of non-cloud versions of Creative Suites?

I understand the 'pro' arguments of the cloud. Sometimes a radical departure from the norm causes unexpected consequences.
I work for a fortune 100 company and we have lawyers crawl over every contract or agreement no matter how small. They actually read every licensing agreement on all our software. They will absolutely NOT allow cloud based software or storage of any kind. It doesn't matter how sound your arguments are, the answer will be no.
I have been using Photoshop since the very first version. I purchase almost every upgrade (sometimes I will skip a version if the new product does not provide me with anything I need). Fourteen years ago I was the one who campaigned & got the full line of Adobe products part of our approved “load set”. This new move to cloud-based only is like getting stabbed in the back by your brother. If I can’t purchase a hard-drive resident version of the creative suite that cannot be disabled by Adobe at the end of the year, the lawyers will end the approval of all the Adobe products. There won’t be any discussions about it. Where do I go? Paint Shop Pro?
    Paul

I am looking into alternative software to replace all of my Adobe products. What a foolish move from Adobe. There are many of us that can't use their software because of the secure environments we operate in. I for one refuse to be placed in their strangle hold. When I have the cash for an upgrade I buy it/own it, and if I decide it is time for me to upgrade I do it. After being with Adobe from day one, it is now time to move on. The cost of the upgrades has gotten out of hand. The upgrades have been too complicated to keep up with  and I just don't have the time to re-learn things at this point in my career. They have had a good run up to now, but that is obviously over. Stupid, stupid, stupid decisions all over the purchase, upgrade, and use of this produce. Fire the clowns that did this. Any one for a "Classic Coke." I'm sure this will goto in that "Stupid Decisions" folder.

  • I uninstalled PS CS6 (non-cloud upgrade) WinXP SP3 then downloaded and reinstall failed during SetUp.exe

Review: I purchased non-CC upgrade from PS CS5>CS6 today at Adobe.com, downloaded and installed, seemed to work, but had problems after attempting ACR update that led to PS errors, so I uninstalled PS CS6 via control panel>remove>Adobe uninstaller. When I tried to reuse SetUp.exe or re-extract PS CS6 install files; all failed. Contacted support chat they said-download again that will work. That failed, too. Please advise on how to re-install PS CS6 upgrade on same machine where I removed it just hours before. OS: Win XP SP3
    Thanks, Paul

    Kglad,
Thanks for your helpful reply. I ran the cleaner, checked the log (ok), then ran installer. The installer ran (1 am) and after a brief celebration I looked and PS CS6 was not visible. It did not completely install and no PS CS6 icons were visible--I should have know something was wrong when it did not ask for serial number. I did System Restore, and just ran the CC Cleaner again (targeting PS CS6, since I believe that I need to leave the PS CS5 on the computer for the upgrade to work. Is there anything else that I may need to do to reinstall successfully? I think that the ACR I tried to install caused a problem -- can I target ACR for cleaning / removal further? I have valid serial numbers: loaded PS CS5 from box upgrade yesterday and then bought PS CS6 upgrade also yesterday. Thank you for your good ideas! Paul

  • Using CS6, not cloud version.  Have Adobe extension mgr.  Getting error code "An unexpected error occurred while attempting to verify this extension" when trying to install a plug in.

What can I do to overcome this error?

I apologize, but Adobe's web site is difficult to navigate as it seems they are more interested in "cloud" products and finding that page that you suggest I download again from is next to impossible!
Can you provide me with a link?
    Thank you for your assistance.
