Dreamweaver CS6 Waiting to install-
I have subscribed to the Creative Cloud. (I have CS5) I have successfully downloaded and installed InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I downloaded Dreamweaver and it seemed to download just fine. After it downloaded it has this text next to the loading bar: "Waiting to install…" It'sbeen like this for 8+ hours. What is it waiting for? Is there something I should do to facilitate the installation? I tried quitting all open applications including the browser but it made no difference. My computer has been on this entire time. I have turned Energy Saver off during this download and install process so as not to have any interference.

Thanks for your quick reply. I searched around last night and came to
the conclusion that I needed to uninstalled the older version of
Dreamweaver. That allowed the CS6 version to install. Uninstalling the
other applications first (AI, PSD, ID, AE, Pr) was not necessary so when
I encountered this with Dw I thought something was wrong.

I tried to install DW from the Creative cloud through the download manager, as well as the trial version. Both DW installations stop at 15%. What might be the problem? I have Sophos antivirus running which I can't deactivate as long as my computer is in the company network.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 has stopped working
Hello - I am attempting to download and install a trial version of Dreamweaver 6 on my PC running Win7 Pro 32 bit service pack 1 with 4GB RAM and an E6300 processor. I have managed to download and extract the application but once I attempt to launch the program, I get a Dreamweaver panel that says it is installing files, then after a few minutes I receive the error message below and the installation window goes blank.
I have attempted the installation 3 different times using ADA and the direct download methods described in the FAQ's but in every instance, I have been met with this same error. I have disabled my firewall and antivirus but I still get this error. Between installation attempts, I have removed DW6 via the remove programs function in the control panel and restarted my PC. I seem to be able to download the application fine but every time I attempt to run it, I get this error. Any words of wisdom. Thank you.Hey Mylenium I have an update for you. I got the application to start, here is what I did. Thinking the problem might be permissions related, I went to the application directory, C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, and gave full control to all users and cleared the "read only" for the application directory and all files in the subordinate file structure. Then using Windows Explorer, I navigated to a CSS file that I was working on with a text editor. I right clicked the CSS file and selected "Edit with Dreamweaver 6". To my surprise the file opened in Dreamweaver. Since then, I have used DW to create an HTML website with external JavaScript and CSS files. Dreamweaver now opens when I double click the application icon.
Even though I got it to work, I captured a related event from event viewer and the installation log for referrence and the benefit of others.

hi,
after installing dreamweaver cs6 form creative cloud test version i tried to start the programm.
After a few seconds and a bumping icon in the dock (no splash screen), the icon disappered. and that was all. no dreamweaver.
I already re-installed it. No change.
Here some more information:
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.7.4
Dreamweaver CS6 is not installed on the system disk, but on a second harddrive.
Flash CS6 is installed on this second harddrive too and it works. Dreamweaver does not.
Adobe Web Premium CS5.5 is installed on system disk and it works.
What is wrong with dreamweaver cs6 here?

MikeI am having the same issue. I was able to start DW in a terminal shell using the sudo command stated above. I got the following lines after it started:

My installation was I started with CS5 Master Suite. I used the Adobe Uninstaller and uninstalled all of CS5 Master Suite. I then installed Master Suite CS6. Everything appeared to install correctly. -
Dreamweaver CS6 Validation Error - No Internet Connection
I got my Dreamweaver CS6 Student Version installed on my computer, but when I try to activate the product, it said "Please Connect to the Internet and Retry", your computer seems to be offine.
But I do have Internet connection which works fine. I don't know why I can't activate it. I retried many times, it just keeps saying "Please Connect to the Internet and Retry".
I am so confusedTry turning off firewalls that may block be blocking the connection. If not, try again later to make sure it's not an Adobe server issue and as a last resort contact Adobe.

How to upload dreamweaver CS6 on my computer

I've received all the details concerning the licence for dreamweaver CS6 and once installed in my programm when I select the icone to have to be installed as software, I filled the shield for number of serie ans start the installation. At the begining, the time seems normal and then I start to grow the time to install and stop at around 24% on the installation and it is written that it will take around 476 minutes but the screen is frozen.

The answer to how many computers you can install Dreamweaver on is two. However, if you want to sell Dreamweaver, you must transfer the licence entirely to the other person. In other words, you can't keep Dreamweaver on one of your computers, and sell the other permitted installation to someone else.

However, you say that you deleted your version from one computer. That's not enough. You should have deactivated it first. You will need to get Adobe to cancel the activation on the computer you no longer have. Otherwise, the person who buys from you won't be able to install on two computers.

Error when starting Dreamweaver CS6 w/Web Assist Data Bridge installed
When I start Dreamweaver CS6 I get messages that it can't find the following files in the Configuration/floaters directory.
The Files are:
WA_Memento.htm
WA_Site Tools.htm
WA_Site Tools_Progress.htm
Then it says "The Floater will not be shown."
How do I fix this?Resetting your workspace in Dreamweaver should resolve this. Click Window > Workspace Layout and reset.
If you owned older extensions, then installed Data Bridge, Dreamweaver is probably just trying to find the floaters the old extensions used. Should be a quick fix if you reset! -

I have tried installing both from a standard account and from an admin account. The same error occurs each time.Hi Michael,
The final issue I mentioned is not with the installation but with the first launch.
My solution was to:
Open System Preferences at the Accounts pane
Click on the Lock icon in order to make changes, and enter an admin user name and password.
Select the standard user account that is to use Dreamweaver
Check the Allow User To Administer This Computer checkbox
Reboot the computer
Launch Dreamweaver from the user's account (now with admin privileges)
Dreamweaver does whatever it is that it needs admin privileges for
Repeat steps 1 to 3
Uncheck the Allow User To Administer This Computer checkbox, so that the user goes back to a standard account
Reboot the computer
Dreamweaver will now launch happily from the chosen user's standard account.
I imagine that it would not take a whole morning to fix Dreamweaver CS6 so that it throws up a "Please give me temporary Admin privileges" dialog on first launch. It might also not take that much longer to do whatever it is that it has to do on first launch in a folder where admin privileges are not required.
This would save hours of frustration on the part each of the thousands of end users who are likely to encounter these symptoms. -
Can't Adobe mail me an installation disk if its online instructions to install Dreamweaver don't work?
CS6 is in the CC App too, I figured it might have been one of those situations where someone is calling Dreamweaver "CS6" because that's the last version they were aware of.
But if it's the actual perpetual license version...

Error on installing updates to Dreamweaver CS6
I am running Dreamweaver CS6 v12.0 and I was checking to see if there were any updates available. I located three of them on the downloads page and proceeded to try to install the next version up from mine. It downloaded and I ran the installer, however I'm getting an error: Dreamweaver CS6 12.0.1 update to address critical issues Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7. This number is not listed in the possible causes for this, so does anyone know what it is I need to do to get this to work? I also tried to download another of the updates but that would not even download. Any help would be appreciated.
