Dreamweaver Disconnect When Changing Sites in Dreamweaver

I have an unusual problem that I cannot explain. I am using windows 7 64bit (previously when this problem started, I was using Vista 64 bit)
Whenever I switch sites in Dreamweaver CS5 v 11.0 Build 4964, I get disconnected from my remote server. I have to wait a while before it gets reconnected, usually about 10 minutes, after I switch back to another site.
I have been using DW since V 2.0 and I love it still. This is a problem that causes a work stoppage for me and I need to know if anyone else has the same problem and if there is a fix for this?
Listed below are some of the things that I have tried to fix this problem.
Changed my account information on the remote server.
Changed my username on the remote server.
Wiped my account clean and set up a totally new account on the remote server.
Reinstalled DW after uninstalling completely.
Does anyone know what can cause this?

When you have problems with Safari bookmarks syncing with iCloud, do a reset.
On your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud. Deselect the box next to Safari then reselect it.
On iOS devices, tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Safari off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes re sync the data.

  • HTML Corrections window when changing sites in Files pane

After forcing Dreamweaver to End Task, restarting,
removing with Add/Remove Programs, and reinstalling, I'm
still getting an HTML Corrections window whenever I change a site
using the dropdown box in the Files pane.
Line 5 Col 62: Closed a <meta> tag that was left
    unclosed.
I've tried removing all my sites and re-creating them, and
just switching between network drives instead of sites created
through Manage Sites, but it still appears.
Anyone know which file or set of files I can check?

maybe the fix is needed- my guess is this is a child page of
    a template,
you've selected xhtml syntax in prefs, and the meta tag IS
    unclosed.
fix: either turn off autocorrection in prefs-->code
    rewriting or find and
fix the problem in the file(s). Or- is there a reason to use
    xhtml?
link to example file that does this?
have you told dw that you want xhtml?
are these child files of a template, and the tag/line is in a
    locked
section? then open the template file, fix the error.

  • Crash when updating site cache?  MM_Username1?

    Hi,
All of a sudden, tonight, DW8.0.2 will no longer open or load
    one of my
sites, crashing when "Updating Site Cache". The site is ASP
    linked to an SQL
    database.
Checking the file that the cache gets to, I notice that the
    problem file is
within a sub-directory of the site, called "/admin". Thing is
    though, it's
not always the same file, but it IS always a file within the
    /admin
    sub-directory.
Within this sub-directory I altered, by hand, the Login User
    code and
Restrict Access to Page code to create and use the session
    variable
MM_Username1 as opposed to the default MM_Username.
Could this be the reason for the sudden trouble with the site
    cache? I am
puzzled because the site was working fine for a few weeks
    now, with this
    sub-directory included, and I didn't create the MM_Username1
    issue today
either, it has also been working fine for a good few weeks
    now. I've also
not added anything new to the site, that I am aware of.
When I remove the sub-directory from the site, the Updating
    Site Cache works
fine, so I am 100% sure there is a problem with the files
    within this
sub-directory. How will I know which one though?
I've tried this, as recommended by Adobe, but I still get a
    freeze-up when
    re-creating the cache:
    1. Try renaming the Dreamweaver user configuration folder, so
    that
Dreamweaver will automatically generate a new user
    configuration folder the
next time Dreamweaver launches. The Configuration folder is
    located here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration
    2. Recreate your Dreamweaver user settings in the registry as
    follows:
Launch the Registry Editor by clicking the Start button,
    choose Run, then
type "regedit". In the Registry Editor, navigate to this
    folder:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8
Rename the "Dreamweaver 8" key to "DreamweaverOLD", so that
    Dreamweaver will
automatically generate a new user settings key the next time
    you launch it.
    3. Recreate your Dreamweaver site definitions in the registry
    as follows.
The steps below will delete your site definitions in
    Dreamweaver.
    4. Launch the Registry Editor by clicking the Start button,
    choose Run, then
type "regedit". In the Registry Editor, navigate to this
    folder:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Common\8\Sites
Rename the "Sites" key to "SitesOLD", so that Dreamweaver
    will automatically
generate a new Sites key the next time you launch it.
    Any further advice?
    Regards
    nath.

    Found it! Jeesh.
I had a querystring value in my UPDATE redirect URL which was
    coded
    incorrectly!!!
I am frustrated that, rather than just highlighting the error
    or, at the
very least, producing an error when opening the specific
    file, this type of
thing crashed the entire DW programme.
The time I spent in Notepad today changing MM_Username1 back
    to
MM_Username!! Turns out that was nothing to do with it.
    <groan> Yeah,
that's right, laugh it up! :o)
    Anyway, solved now. A misplaced ", %, ), (, <, >, &
    etc can cause you no
    end of grief! :o(

  • DW unexpectedly quits; can't change sites  [added:a fix for  Macintosh OS X]

    Hello.
If your Dreamweaver application was working wonderfully, you were doing a lot, making many sites etc. and suddenly DW stopped uploading to your remote site or just would not allow you to change sites, then read on...
Manage sites, change site causes Dreamweaver to quit unexpectedly.  Macintosh OS X (may be on other systems too)
The issue may be in your preferences...
On a Mac, go to your folders main hardrive>Users>Library>Preferences=Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 Prefs.
NOTE: That is NOT the same Library folder as your computer (Apple has two Library folders with a preferences folder inside each; if you don't see that file called: Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 Prefs, find the other Library folder with the exact file name.  It won't show up with the "find/search" feature either.
Move that file to your desktop/finder and restart DW.
Dreamweaver will create a new Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 Prefs (yes, it will wipe out your saved preferences but that's not as bad as NOT being able to use the DW application at all).
Your sites will be intact, classic view will probably be default (it will take less time to reset your windows and panes than other methods of fixing DW).
Once it works then you don't need that old prefs file and can trash it. Note that a new one is in the Library>Preferences folder anyhow.
Check Dreamweaver>Preferences and go through your settings again.
    Hope it helps.

  • Abnormal disconnect when calls forwarded to vm on busy or noan

    Avaya S8700 <> h.323 trunk group <> CCME 4.0.3
Inbound calls over IP trunk disconnect when forwarded to AIM-CUE upon noan or busy. No problems observed when call is answered. Nor are there issues with inbound calls to same number placed over POTS line. Has anybody experienced similar issues with Avaya / Cisco operability?

    Hi Thomas,
    I am pretty sure that this a transcoding issue,especially seeing that calls routed through the POTS line are working properly have a look;
    Codecs and Transcoding
Cisco Unity Express supports only G.711 voice streams, so all calls made into the system (including those from IP phones, PSTN gateway ports and any other VoIP equipment in your network) must use G.711 if they enter the AA or voice mail pilot numbers that terminate on Cisco Unity Express.
If you require that G.729A calls traverse IP segments of your network between sites, and that these calls forward or dial direct into Cisco Unity Express AA or voice mail, then you must use a transcoding resource collocated with Cisco Unity Express to change the voice stream from G.729A to G.711 before the voice stream enters the AA or voice mail pilot numbers.

  • How to Fire Trigger, when changes are applied on destination??

    Hi,

I am using oracle10g stream replication, and database version is "10.2.0.1.0".
Basically I have 2 machines named:

In My Senario changes are successfully replicated at Center_DB TEST_2 Table and after replication

But Now I want to write my given trigger at Center_DB and this trigger will be fired when changes are replicated
    from Site#1_DB to Center_DB.

  • Ichat, AIM, & Adium all frequently disconnect when using Air

Ichat, AIM, & Adium all frequently disconnect when using Airport. I use a Linksys Wireless Router with an Airport extreme card. When directly connected to the router, I have no problem. Using a PC with Windows XP, AIM operates fine. Safari and Firefox work fine, although sometimes I receive errors connecting to pages, when I try again no problem. Using any of the chat programs, I lose connection, but then can reconnect. After a few times, the AOL servers will prevent login.
I use COMCAST Cable internet service. My wireless router uses WEP encryption. I would switch to an AIrport Base station, but doubt it would correct the problem.
I have had this problem previously, but it corrected itself. now it is making chat programs unusable.
    Any ideas?

    Hi John,
By default Linksys units normally have the IP address of 192.168.1.1
Is this true for both your units or have you changed one of them ?
You may only find this out if you connect directly to the Modem one.
Also you have not said if only one of them is doing DHCP.
Example pic 3 on this page. This shows this device as getting it own contact IP address by DHCP (like from your ISP). Further down the page in the pic it shows the device is also acting as a DHCP server to the local net.
If your router is set up like this it could be getting an IP address usng DHCP like this device shows and that would tend to mean that the Modem is acting as a DHCP server as well.
If both devices still have the default IP addresses you will have conflicts, which probably explians the problems you have.

  • People Picker in Central Administration on change Site Collection Administrator page.

    Hi there
We are coming to the end of our rope here.
We have a problem where the people picker is not working in Central Administration, particularly the change Site Collection administrator page. It simply does nothing but hang the page, it doesn't even give the red squigglies. The search dialogue boxes also
hangs. It works in other parts of Central Administration.
The environment has 2 domains with one way trust between them and the peoplepicker-searchadforest attribute is set.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Chad,
Did this issue only happen to the "_admin/owners.aspx" page for your Central Administration site?
Please compare the peoplepicker-searchadforest attribute for your Central Administration web applicaiton with other working web application, see if they are the same ( iisreset may need for your Central Administration ).
    Also check
ULS log for more related error message (also try others may like "developer dashboard","fiddler", ect.) recoreded when this issue occurs.

  • Replication when the site contain two domains

    Hi,
I have a site named "TEST". I have 4 DCs in the "TEST" site. Out of 4 DCs DC-1 and DC-2 fall under t1.com domain  and DC-3 and DC-4 fall
    under t2.com domain.
So, when an object is modified or created in DC-1 the the change is replicated to
DC-2. Similarly when a change is done on DC-3 it gets replicated to
    DC-4.
We know that all the DCs are in same site. Then how does the change gets reflected to appropriate DC? Is there any data that represents domain in which the change has occured?
e.g. DC-1 and DC-2 are in t1.com domain so change in
DC-1 is reflected to DC-2. How??

    Hi,
Based on your description about your environment, it comes under  Intrasite Replication since all domain controllers are present in the same domain.
    - Intrasite replication in Active Directory takes place between domain controllers within the same site.
    - Intrasite replication utilizes the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) protocol to replicate the replication data .
    - When changes are made on one particular domain controller, it utilizes the RPC protocol to
replicate the changes to remaining domain controllers within the same site.
    - Also the domain controller checks the information it contains against information that the other domain controllers host.
    - To perform this analysis, the domain controller utilizes logical sequence numbers.

  • IMac freezes when changing the screen saver

    Hi all:
I originally posted this in the "Using Mac OS X" forum (iMac freezes when changing the screen saver, but thought I'd post here as well since the issue arises on a freshly installed OS.
We've got three 350MHz slot-loading G3 iMacs (with 512MB RAM) which we're planning to use for basic word processing. The install of Panther (10.3.5 from black retail cds with 10-seat volume license) went fine on the first two. Ran the updates to 10.3.9, installed MS Office 2004, everything working great (they're a little slow, but after all, they are only 350 MHz).
On the third, the first problem we noticed was the computer would lock up whenever we changed the screen saver from the default (Flurry; Computer Name also works). It continues to do so even after: repair permissions; repair disk; Disk Warrior; reset pram; reset nvram; reset pmu; change RAM; change hard drive; erase hard drive; write zeros to hard drive; reinstall with different set of retail CDs; trash preferences, and delete cache files. (If there's anything I've left out, it's in the other thread).
Now we've noticed that we can't create any new user accounts. We've thought about putting this one in production, just warning the user that they can't change the screen saver, but god only knows what will turn up next.
I'm starting to think it's a logic board issue, but could it be that selective? And would you see the same problem with another hard drive and different install discs? Am I missing something?
BTW, there's a crash log with the other thread.
    Andrew
    Dual 2.0 GHz G5   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I'm going to mark this one as answered.
I removed the hard drive from the iMac, and put it into another 350 MHz iMac, and everything works great. I can select any screen saver without having it freeze, create new accounts, whatever my little heart desires.
In checking the history of the problem iMac, there was an assortment of problems with booting (both from the hard drive and from the CD-ROM drive) which were never satisfactorily resolved. The problems just seemed to go away after sitting unplugged for a few days, as much as for anything we actually did to it.
Now we just have to decide whether it's worth fixing, or using it somewhere in a non-critical role with OS 9 installed.
    Cheers,
    Andrew

  • Airport disconnect when switching users

I recently changed the password for my airport in an attempt to connect my son's new PSP to my network. (I needed a longer password to mimic a PC network.) After deciding I couldn't make it work I decided to go back to my old basestation password. Nothing was changed but the password using the airport utility program. After doing so I find my airport disconnects when fast switching users. It reconnects fine if I choose it as my network but I need to manually reconnect each time I switch from one user to another. It does it with my new Macbook as well. I've tried every setting I can find using the utility. I've reset my basestation and set it up as a new network. I used to be able to stay connected for days and now it drops whenever I switch users. I've already heard I may need to upload my basestation software again but haven't done so yet (I need to find it first) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for responding... I've done that more than once. I reloaded the latest AP software and now have it so that I only need to connect one time when my G4 and Macbook are powered up for the day. They stay logged on throughout several fast user switches. I can live with this although my computers used to find the network by themselves each day when first powered up. I've decided I can live with it. Thanks again.

Any ideas what option or configuration do I to do so that it can popoup for changing the password?
FYI I use windows 7 profession edition with Cisco VPN dialer client ver. 5.0.04.0300. I am unable to find "windows logon properties" under the "options" menu.

    Hi,
I managed to get the password change option pop-up when "Change password during next login" set for for the user-A in windows 2008 Active Directory. But now the issue is, I enter the old password, it accepts & then its pops up to enter me the new password twice, when I enter the new password with some special charecters it stills pops me up to enter the new password with special charecters. After 2-3 attempts it disconnects. It will allow me to connect only when I un-check the "change password during next login"
    Any ideas?
