Dreamweaver - Do you upload the template?

Hello. I just completed my first website based off a template
in Dreamweaver and am getting ready to upload my site to the
server. Do I also upload the template to the server?
Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you in

No, DW templates have no function on the server. They only
work WITHIN
Dreamweaver to change local files. It's the changed local
files that must
be uploaded to the server.

Do you have to upload all new pages if you edited the template file?

I've edited a template in Dreamweaver and applied all changes to pages that use this template.
Previously, I had been uploading the templates onto my server, but after realizing that uploading the edited template to the web the pages didn't change.
When you edit the template in Dreamweaver shouldn't it automatically pull from the new template when you look at the pages online? OR do you have to upload each new page to your server that used that template?
or in other words..
Does the webpage pull the information from the template in Dreamweaver or from the server?

Any pages that have been updated after the template has been updated will need to be uploaded to the server. The pages do not automatically "connect" to the template and reflect it's rendering while on the server - that would require Server Side Includes or a dynamic server-side language (like PHP or ASP .NET) .

Adobe has been trying this and the product is called Muse ( Web design software | Download free Adobe Muse CC trial ). It doesn't give you the control over the code that most developers prefer but it could help bridge the gap for design if that is what you are looking for.

How do you copy the templates from another webstie and use them as your own?

Hi Everyone, I was told that with Dreamweaver it is possible to copy another websites templates? What are the steps in copying another websites template with Dreamweaver? I would like to know I am a newbie when it comes to this program so please make your statement understandable for me, thanks. Also, I am having problems creating a drop down menu for each of my web pages. When I go to highlight a specific box on my homepage I want the dropdown menu to appear vertically and not horizontally. I may have missed something when watching the video tutorials or I didn't quite understand what they meant. This is difficult to understand. How are you copying templates from another site?
If you have all the files that make up the template, then it's only a matter of saving all the files to a folder on your hard drive and setting up a site definition pointing to this folder. You then work on the files as usual.

Without seeing the page it's difficult to judge what your problem is. If possible, please upload the files to a remote server and provide a link to the page. It's the only way people can help - if they see your page in action.

How do you edit the template image that appears at the top only in portrait mode?

I am using a customized version of the iBooks Author template which has the space image. I have replaced the images for the book cover, chapter and section. But I noticed that when you rotate the ipad to view the entire TOC, the original space image is still there. How can I edit the template image that appears at the top of the Table of Contents only when you rotate the ipad in portrait view?

I just tried w/that template - switched to Portrait mode...tapped once to select that image....cut - gone. Switched to Landscape...not there. Back to portrait...still gone.
What process did you use?

Problem occuring while uploading the template therough BAPI

I'm uploading inspection plans template through BAPI. While uploading its giving a error message like invalid file type. I'm using Excel sheet. I tried through Text format also. Same error message i'm getting.

I guess your reply relates to a custom transaction code, if it is so, then it wont help much.
You would need to paste the program code, as this is a custom program which resides in your SAP system & not a std. transaction which can be accessed in any SAP system.

Does anyone have an issue when they edit a pic using the built in editor on the 4s; and when you upload the edited pic or send it, the original one is sent. i even double check my photo in my album and it shows the edited pic

i have even double checked the album and the album has the EDITED pic but for some reason when uploaded or sent the original is what goes thru... makes me very irritated! not sure if its a setting or some bug... any suggestions???

I think it depends on how you share it. Sometimes when I email it to myself it retains the edits, but I read that when people sync their phone it sometimes does not.

Is there a way to turn the pattern matching example in Labview to instead of loading a rectangle around what you want the template to be you can use an image display , I've be trying and can get no where with it

What I want to do is , have two images on image displays and the pass them through the same setup as the pattern matching example to get the number of matches , I have attached what I have done and also given the pattern matching example program as well.

Hi there!
The example used can be adapted for comparing two images, however the algorithm and coding for finding the differences is more specific to your actual problem. In terms of the loading and displaying of the images, this can be done in the same way.
Once you have some sort of algorithm, then you can automate the learning and matching by simply wiring them in order. (in the example, these are put in case structures as they are waiting on response from the front panel)

Can you upload the ipod to a new computer?

old computer crashed from virus -thanks Verizon - and now trying to put my songs from my ipod nano to the new laptop I bought. Most are songs I moved from my own CDs to the computer and old albums (yes I have albums...those big round discs) I spent all last summer converting and putting onto the computer and moving them into itunes. Anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to find info on apple's website or can't recognize it when i see it. Thanks

So how do you copy music over from your iPod to your computer? There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes. The first link below provides step-by-step instructions for the direct method if you have a PC as well as a few third party applications (for both the Mac and PC) if you choose to go that route instead. You can also do a simple Google search for "copy music from iPod to computer" and you should receive a number of sites that can help you out.
Just make sure that when you have your iPod plugged into your computer, that you don't hit "Erase and Sync" before completing the task of copying your music over.
Also, if you have any purchased music, you will probably have to re-authorize your computer by heading to the Store drop down menu and choosing "Authorize computer."

How do you input/upload the templates for Heart Rates, EKG, etc. onto an already existing form of LabView?

I have LabView 9.0 and I remember last year when I got it I had to go through several steps in order to upload the templates for Heart Rate, EKG, and Blood Pressure. However, since then, several of my computers have been worked on within the district and the templates are no longer on the main page anymore and I have forgotten the steps to completete to get them back. Can anyone help me??!!

What main page are you referring to? Are you referring to the Getting Started window that has the "VI from Template..." link that pulls up a dialog to select the type of file to create? That has a tree node that you can navigate and there's a VI -> From Template -> User node. If you place the template in the <labview>/templates folder then they will show up in this node.

IMP : unable to upload the rtf template

Not able to find Report - Standard templates or Report - Custom templates view in Administration - BIP reports in Siebel 8.1.1.3?
We have applied 8.1.1.3 patch on 8.1.1.0
below are the steps followed
Reports are not generated after 8.1.1.3 patch installtion.
we have also followed to below steps mentioned for this issue in oracle support.
"In order to resolve this behavior it is necessary to ensure that the 8.1.1.3 FixPack has been applied to the Siebel Tools installation. This will provide an additional .zip file in the REPPATCH folder of the Siebel Tools installation. Once this has been done please then follow the configuration steps as documented :
change sysprefix to X_ before sif import and chage back to SBL_ after sif import.
1) Import the sif files from Siebel\8.1\Tools_1\REPPATCH\12-1VMBCSV.zip
2) Import the 4 SIF files in the following order:
S_XMLP_REP_TMPL_02112010.sif
SBL_XMLP_REPORT_SELECTION_FLG.sif
Report Template BC.sif
Report Template Registration Applet.sif
3)Apply the DDL for table S_XMLP_REP_TMPL and compile repository
Once the above steps have been completed the Selected Record flag will appear in the Report Template Registration views."

How do you open a new document from the template chooser?

Since upgrading to Yosemite, I can't find the option to open a new document from the template chooser. When I type in "template" in the help box it shows it under "file" But when I click on "File" I don't see that option.
Basically, I'm trying to ask how do you access the templates in the new pages?

Check your preferences and make sure Show Template Chooser is selected:

Problems using the template feature in CS3

Appreciation in advance to anyone trying to help me out, as I am a little lost to say the least...
Firstly the website I'm talking about it www.handbakedarcade.co.uk
I recently re-built the site using the template feature on dreamweaver as I have a lot of pages and all have the same general layout with just one large editable region in the main section of each page. The trouble I'm having is that when i change the template (named TEMPLATE3.dwt) and then re-upload it as well as the pages that are dependent on it the changes are not seen. The problem is simple, I will try and prepare for the answer not to be!

Looking at the page you linked it - it doesn't show any template markup at all. There are no editable or non-editable regions showing in the code.
The actual master template (the dwt file) does not have to be uploaded to the server. Once you make changes to a template, the changes flow through to all the child pages associated with the template and these are the files that need to be uploaded.    You can upload the templates folder to the remote if you wish to keep a copy as a backup, but it makes no difference to the associated with it.
Not sure what's happened to you page, as Nancy pointed out the opening and closing <body> tags are missing.
I have created an ID for the outer div so that we can give it some styles so that it is centered on the page and also that the content within the wrapper are centered.
Copy and paste the following code in a new DW document and see the differences between your original code (the page that you linked to) and the code below.

Error when uploading a template

Hello all,
Environment: Oracle Apex - 4.0 (EPG) and Oracle 11G.
I have configured print setup in Apex to work with BI Publisher. I have created an rtf file and trying to upload that rtf file and keep getting the following error message and I am unable to upload the template.
I am getting this error in the "upload Report Layout" screen of "Report Queries".
The error is occurring when I click on Next after selecting the rtf template.
As soon as I click on the next button, the message "The Website cannot display the page" is getting displayed and then when I click on the refresh the page, the following message is getting displayed.
Expecting p_company or wwv_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.
Error ERR-7621 Could not determine workspace for application (:) on application accept
It's a very small file (400KB). I have no clue why this is happening. I appreciate your help.

Hello,
I think you can't ignore file properties but you can clean them. Use FileInfo class to extract file properties then remove special char. You also need to make sure that there is no special char in file name as well.

The 'match the template type' error?

In XMLP 5.0, when I create a XSL-FO Type templete, I meet the error:
The file must match the template type. Upload one file per language and territory combination.
My templete name is XXXXXX..xsl, it is an XSL-FO file.
I know XMLP will create an XSL-FO file in XDO_LOBS for each RTF templete, but how to disable the automatical conversion, Because I want to use my XSL-FO file directly. Thanks for your answer.

When you upload the XSLFO template specify that it is of type 'XSL-FO' and we will not do any conversion, just simply upload it. \
