Dreamweaver drops diacritic chars at opening

Dreamweaver has quite a strange behaviour when opening
documents containing
commented charset definitions.
in fact it just acts as if there were no comments.

the recodings done automatically by Dreamweaver when opening
the file have a noticeable and disastrous effect : all diacritic
characters are suppressed from the file. Of course there are no
dialog boxes like "Do you want to proceed to a recoding of the file

I actually did away with the accordian widget and went a different route. It was too glitchy. Thanks for your input though. I will take note of the suggestions you provided and maybe try it out one day.

select the field u want to insert and press the button "CUT"
then place in the position and press "INSERT IN NEW ROW"

I have cs6 design and web premium installed on a windows 8.1 64 bit laptop. Dreamweaver CS6 has refused to open. When clicked it asks for user control permission and after clicking yes it comes to the first screen and quit after 2-3 seconds.

It is only dreamweaver CS6 which is not opening. Illustrator and photoshop etc are still working. When I did compatibility test it came up with an issue with windows compatibility mode: windows 7. How to correct this?

Find and replace Dreamweaver mx 2004 problem: not opening saved queries

Dreamweaver mx 2004 is not opening saved queries! I use find and replace often and uses to save code replacements to reuse
it. But now when I open the saved query I have 2 situations:
1) comes completely blank
2) or only shows truncated text or code in fields.
I opened the dwr file in text editor and seems to be fine, I mean information saved is there.
Tried recreating cache, or deleting caché, tried saving new or overwritting existant ones, tried saving into a completely different location,
tried in other site definition. Nothing seems to work...

Which FTP app did your predecessor use to upload files? If it's still on your work station, it should contain the log-in credentials.

Whew, generally those errors would indicate a serious Hard Drive problem, but possibly RAM or Logic Board... any other drives connected?

Spry drop down menu not opening on a visitor's computer

I created a site with a spry menu and I have tested it on the current versions of Firefox, Chrome, IE, Opera, Safari and put it through IE Tester. It works perfectly in all these browsers. But there have been two visitor's to the site that have said they cannot get the drop down menus to open when they try. Since I can't duplicate the problem, I have no idea how to fix it. Can someone help????

What browser are they using? That could be the problem.
Spry isn't the best route to go with menus anymore (I honestly don't think it ever was to begin with), Adobe no longer supports or develops Spry. You may be better off creating a new menu in CSS or jQuery. There are tons of tutorials online if you look for "css menu" or "jquery accordion menu" with tutorails on how to get them running.
I don't see any errors jumpiong out at me in your code, except one unrelated one. You have a link to favicon.gif in your head that isn't closed correctly. It needs a /> rather than a standard >. However, Favicons need to be .ico files, a .gif won't work. There's a free Photoshop plug-in to create the .ico file type here: http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/ but it can be found in several places online.

Dreamweaver 5.5 crashes on opening

While doing a routine backup download of files the server, Dreamweaver 5.5 (running on Windows 7) crashed with the standard "An unexpected error has happened (blah, blah)..." Since then, I have tried clearing the cache and restarting the computer several time, but Dreamweaver continues to crash on opening.
Has anyone found a fix for this problem yet? Please advise ASAP.

Dreamweaver CS5 100% CPU when opened.

I have just installed the Adobe Master Suite on my work PC and the one program I need the most (Dreamweaver) hangs at 100% at all times after opening. ALL other Adobe CS5 programs DON'T do this, and remain at a low 0-20% during idle.
This just started happening about a a day ago, and before that was performing normally. I have also just installed new memory (3gb) and figured it must due to faulty memory. Yet I replaced my sticks with the old ones and still the problem continues, while all other programs work fine.
I'm assuming it's either some memory leak or virus or ... who the heck knows, but I tried re-installing the program again and booting into safe mode but both to no avail. I also deleted the personal config file, but this also did nothing. Also, this was not doing this before hand but only happened a day ago. I literally have no idea what I could have done but I know for sure that my PC can run this program as I've already designed an entire site with this version.
Are there any programs I can use to figure out the culprit or find out what is wrong with Dreamweaver.exe?

I also do not have any testing servers configured. Question. Have you been experiencing any file access issues on your Win7 box (in or outsite of DW)? Ever have a hard time saving in DW (saying that it can not access the file)? Ever try to save an attachment and have it say that it could not be read from temp? How about doing something like a local SVN add or many files (hundreds) and having it continuously error out with permission issues, which go away by simply trying again?
I started out on this laptop with a 500GB drive, and now I run a 160GB solid state from Intel, and I have reinstalled since. My machine has been having strange random access issues and one thought might be that it could be tripping up DW with some cache building process if the OS has locked the file.
Also, my DW is set up for coder view, with a minimized panel on the left, and line numbers down the side of the code view. My CPU spikes occur with in "code" view, so real-time preview is not an issue.
I have "Site Cache" disabled in my site preferences, but this issue happens across all of my sites.
I tried running DW as administrator, but I experience the same problems. It seems like my spikes seem to happen after 8 or more files are open (doesn't matter what type).
This is the second MSG that I sent to adobe:
Well it seems to happen with any file type, not just CFMs. Right now I have open an XML, 4 CFCs and 6 CFMsI am seeing CPU sitting at 48% (memory not changing, at 85MB private, 135MB working). It has been doing this for a few minutes now. I've left it going for 10 minutes. I closed the CFM files one at a time, and the CPU stayed at 40-50%. But as soon as I closed another specific CFM file, the CPU dropped right down to 4% even with the other 6 files open.
I opened up another random CFM file and it spiked to 50% for a second and back down, and I opened up a second CFM file and now it is back to 50% for a couple of minutes. I closed the first CFM file and we're still at 50%. I waited a minute and it dropped down to 6% on its own.
I closed ALL files, opened up a new site, and opened 8 HTML files. The CPU is now at 50%. I closed two more HTML files, and it dropped down to 4% again (with 6 HTML files open).
Just to make sure that the issue wasn't with any specific content, I coped the SAME HTML file to multiple files: index.html, index - Copy (2).html, etc, wit hteh following HTML:

I began opening these one by one. Again, these are the EXACT same HTML content, and I started with no files open (DW at 0%).
Opened 1 - 0%
Opened 2 - 1% sustained
Opened 3 - 2% - 4% sustained
Opened 4 - 2% - 5% sustained
Opened 5 - 3% - 6% sustained
Opened 6 - 4% - 6% sustained
Opened 7 - 4% - 8% sustained
Opened 8 - 40% - 50% sustained
After about 1 minute, this dropped down to 5% - 9% sustained.
This then goes back up to 50% on it's own, then back down, then I just leave it there, and in a minute, it goes back to 40-50%.
Closing a bunch of the HTML files down and leaving it at 4 files open seems to resolve the processor spike again

Adobe CS3: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and Flash (Not opening)

I have had the adobe creative suite suite 3 Deisgn premium for over an year now. Recently over the past 2 months I am no longer able to open up any of the following programs:
Photoshop
Dreamweaver
Illustrator
Flash
They have worked for me in the past but now they are just not opening up for me. I have tried plenty of things such as:
Uninstalling the whole cd then reinstalling
Calling customer service
Browsing/googling for ways to fix it
Yet I still have been yet to get this issue resolved. I have tried installing the CS4 30 day trial and that works fine. But I want my CS3 version to work. I tried everything. The thing is I do not get an error message either on the these so there is no way of titling this issue. If it helps I have windows vista. Well please let me know what you come up with . What does happen?     When I double click on them nothing happens for a second it gives me the loading signal but nothing comes up.
You say no error message - how far in the boot process does the program get? Does it just not respond at all? Does the program load-box appear and freeze? Does the program load-box appear and dissapear? Does the computer freeze up in the middle of the load?
           You never end up seeing anything for any of the applications except for photoshop which loads but then closes right away. So it just doesnt respond at all. But there is no freezing. So the load-box only appears and dissapears when I open photoshop. but for everything else it just never appears.
Does the process display in your processes list?
            No it does not display
Did you install/uninstall/delete anything around the time this started?
I'm pretty sure I didnt uninstall or install anything around the time it started. I think I would remember if it did. So i'm pretty sure I did not.
Did you try going back to a restore point before this started? No I did not.
Have you run a thorough virus scan? Yes I have and nothing comes up.

My ipad 4 dropped and now apps open and close on their own

My ipad 4 dropped off my lap. The glass is intact but now all the apps open and close randomly on their own. I tried to reboot it and it didnt workd. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

THANKS for your prompt reply Bluetooth is off in my laptop and IPhone.. and in fact the reset is the only thing that can make it back to normal. But for a lil while. I wonder if it is the touch, or the home botton... both things are very expensive to replace, so I wouldn't like to spend $$ and continue having the prob.....

Drop-down Menu to Open URL for File Download

I am using Adobe Captivate 5.5 and was wondering if it is possible to create a drop-down menu that can be used to open different URLs for file downloads, kind of like the Attachments button Presenter has. Captivate seems to have a dropdown widget available but I can't tell if this would work for this purpose.

Opening Word document templates from the New Document drop down does not open Word

I have a document library with a number of Content Types attached to it. Each one has a different Word document attached. We have an intermittent problem where when you click to open one of these templates from the 'New Document' drop
down list that nothing happens. The workaround appears to be either open Word first or re-boot the computer. I think there is a problem with SharePoint not linking in with Word correctly. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Can you please check in your internet explorer whether MS office Add ons enable or not.
If not enable that and restart your browser and try again.
Also try to repair MS Office if issue still persist.

Dreamweaver Trial Version is not opening
