Dreamweaver Extension Doesn't Work

I'm using Dreamweaver CS4 / Version 10.0 / Build 4117. Mac OSX.6.2. I successfully installed the Browserlab Dreamweaver Extension. When I try to preview a page, either local or server, nothing happens. I click on the "Preview" button and nothing happens. The window says "Not Connected to Browserlab." However, when I click on the "Adobe ID Sign In" link it says that I am signed in. Am I missing something here? Thanks for any advice and/or help.

Does nothing happen at all when you click Preview in the BrowserLab panel? (i.e., does BrowserLab even attempt to connect? Does BrowserLab simply stay on "Not connected to BrowserLab"?)
Correct. Nothing at all happens. BrowserLab doesn't attempt to connect. Nothing at all happens.
Yes there is another way to access BrowserLab. Go to View > Toolbars > Document to bring up the document toolbar if it is not currently displayed. Then, in the document toolbar next to the File Management button is the Preview/Debug in browser button. If you click the Preview/Debug in Browser button, you should have your list of browsers to preview your file in and "Preview in Adobe BrowserLab" is the last option.
The way you describe above IS the way I am currently attempting to use it. What is the other way?

Dreamweaver 8 doesn t work properly on imac intel "17"

Hello guys need some help, I m new to mac and I´ve installed dreamweaver 8 but it doesn t work properly. Instead of the insert toolbar I get boxes with a '?' plus in some occasion when I want to save a work instead of the usual " save or ok or discard" the button appears as " undefined". Can anyone help please?

It would appear to me when you installed Dreamweaver,
some image files got misplaced or lost by mistake.
Did you ever go and search for images and start
erasing images you didn't know what they came from?
If you did, then those may be the image. Those
images are little modular pieces that Dreamweaver
uses to display information on the screen.
I would install Dreamweaver from scratch and make
sure it is in the Applications folder.
Hi, did everything posible, I even downloaded a evaluation version, just in case but it seems it s only me who has this problem, I problaby need to download somekind of firmware or java but don t know which. Cheers

Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF Chrome Extension Doesn't Work

The extension was installed when I installed Acrobat Pro XI and worked fine until Chrome was updated to version 29 or 30. The extension is enabled, the drop down works, but it doesn't do anything when you click on the drop down choices.

The error is encounterd when I am logged into an https (Hypertext Transfer Protocol over Secure Socket Layer) website. To try this on your own you need to logon to an secure website. I am assuming that you might have an amazon.com, gmail.com, facebook.com, linkedin.com, or some other secure online account that you can try this with. It will say https in the address bar and have a green padlock indicating that secured content is displayed. I will show the workflow attempting to convert a linkedin.com profile as an example:
I then click on the convert to Adobe PDF toolbar / extension in Chrome to convert the webpage to a PDF.
The Conversion to PDF progress pops up and looks like the progress cursor might stutter or restart a few times:
The output of the PDF shows a logon screen instead of the secure webpage content:
I also checked the "Webpage Conversion Settings" and "HTML Conversion Settings". Changing the 'Embed Mulitmedia Content' or 'Disable Multimedia Capture' do not seem to fix the problem

C-level extensibility doesn't work in Flash Pro CC

It is now impossible to create a native C/C++ library and export C functions that can be used by Flash commands for instance. The sample C-level extensibility project "SampleDll" now does not work in Flash Pro CC as well:

When Flash Pro CC is installed the "<user_home_dir>/AppData/Local/Adobe/Flash CC/<language_code>/Configuration/External Libraries" already contains a dll that exports the MM_Init and MM_Terminate, so presumably the C-level extensibility is still available, but its probable new usage might not be yet documented.

First off, http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0/main/samples/Flash_ActionScript3.0 _samples.zip doesn't contain a single dll or a C-source file. I've checked this zip file even before you've wrote your answer since the page http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/samples.html states:
flash-pro-samples.zip (ZIP, 9 MB)
Note: ActionScript 3 versions of the ActionScript 2 samples in this ZIP are available above in Flash_ActionScript3.0_Samples.zip.
As it is stated here, there are only ActionScript samples in the new zip archive and no C-extensibility API ones.

The Dreamweaver Help doesn't work

Hi,
The Help documentation doesn't show. When I access it - eg
"Help > Dreamweaver Help" - the help window opens but it's
completely blank. And when I search I just get the spinning wheel.
Does anyone know why this could be happening?
My install is:
Studio 8 - academic version
macbook pro
osx 10.4.9

.mov files appear as Unix after recovery, adding extension doesn't work

Whilst backing up (with Synchronise X) a drive, I accidentally clicked to allow around 15GB worth of Quicktime files to be deleted, in two folders. Realising my mistake, I stopped the back up immediately, and recovered all the files with Disk Drill. One folder recovered correctly, however the other folder recovered the files as 'Unix executable files'. I have tried adding the .mov extension to these files, tried opening from within Quicktime, but always get the error message that the files are not a movie. I tried telling the file to open with QT in the Get Info windoww, still without success. All the files are of a size which seem to be about right for what they are supposed to be, but I cannot get them to open as movies.
One observation: the files which recovered correctly all had '.mov' in their file names at the time of recovery, all those with which I am having a problem had no extension name showing.
I've searched through these forums and elsewhere - most people get the files to work by adding the .mov extension, but for me this is not the answer. Are there any more tricks?

I tried QT Repair, and when that was unsuccessful, moved onto Media Salvage, as suggested by QT Repair. The final report was that the media was seriously corrupted, so I had no success.
It seems odd to me that the rescued files in one folder from the original delete are OK, but those in the other folder are unrescuable, even though there was clearly no time to overwrite all those files before I cancelled the delete action.
Fortunately they are backed up elsewhere, 5,000 miles away, but that's another story.

Changing .dmg file extension doesn't work as expected

Hi everybody,
I wanted to change the file extension of an image of a floppy disk creating using Disk Uitility. The original extension is ".dmg". Changing this extension in the Finder window to ".flp" seems to work --- but only at first sight.
Looking at the directory using Terminal, the image file now has the extension of ".flp.dmg". This is creating a lot of problems, for instance when using VMWare Fusion which does not want to mount disk image files with an extension not equal to ".flp".
How to solve the problem?
Try renaming the file in the Terminal using the command "mv". This really changed the file name. Worked for me!
Question:
Is this a problem of the Finder? (or a feature I don't understand?)

In Finder, first ensure that Show Extension is selected in the Get Info window, then back in Finder, file.dmg can be manually altered to file.flp. A query will arise, "do you want to really change this to .flp?" will be asked and confirm that this is how you want it. Its new extension will remain visible.

Banshee lyrics extension doesn't work

Hi. I use 64bits arch and banshee 2.6.0-2. When using the lyrics extension I receive an error message:
Could not load type 'System.Func`2' from assembly 'mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'
in the lyrics zone. There is also another problem, the covers are not visible if the lyrics extension is on.
I've tried with the banshee-comunity-extensions from AUR, also compiling from sources and even copying Banshee.lyrics.dll from a working banshee in another computer (with ubuntu). No luck, always have the 'System.Func' error in my arch machine.
Any idea? Thanks.

I still suffer this problem in 3 different machines (banshee 2.6.1, fully updated 64-bits Arch). Does the lyrics extension work for anyone who uses banshee? Thanks.

Firewire extension doesn't work after SL installation

Hi everyone,
I recently installed Snow Leopard and I'm using a WD MyBook Studio Edition 500 GB as Time Machine backup drive. Unfortunately since last week it's not working any more. I get the following error message:
" system extension can't be used
the system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/IOFireWireWDHID.kext" has not been installed correctly and therefore cannot be used. Try re-installing it or contact the manufacturer for an update."
Does anyone have a clue how to re-install it?

Reinstall Snow Leopard. Alternatively, contact WD and see what they say.

Phonegap and Dreamweaver CS6 doesn't work

Phonegap and Dreamweaver have never worked together for me. With CS5.5 I was never able to build anything with Phonegap and Dreamweaver. I was hoping that with CS6 and Adobe's aquistion that Phonegap might acually work with Dreamweaver, not so. Any time I try and build Phonegap with Dreamweaver CS6 I get the following error:

It installs the toolbar with options,but doesn't do anything when trying to resize the page:-/

did you already tried to check this by calling the toshiba hotline? Perhaps they could clarify your question regarding your warranty extension. You can also ask a authorized service partner and let them check the status of your registration.

Firefox extension doesn't work with most of FMs.

I have a problem with "dragdropupload" extension for Firefox. It works fine with d3lphin (which is not my default file manager), but I can't get it to work with either nautilus, thunar or pcmanfm.
I don't know if it's important, but I use swiftfox 3.5.3

i foolishly upgraded to version 5 before checking that Firebug is compatible - it isn't. I need to get back to version 4 so I can continue to use this plu-in which essential for my work. Can't find the download for 4 anywhere - can somebody please point me in the right direction.

BSP Extensions doesn't work with Pocket PC2003

browser not supported!
Any solution?
On which platform can i write web-apps for pocketpc 2003.
Also the ep 6.0 dumps, if called via browser on a handheld under pocketpc 2003.

Same extension doesn't work

I have two computers. I installed same Firefox on both (ver. 7.0.1).
I installed one extension in one of them (say ScrapBook Plus 1.8.20.34).
When I try to install that extension on other computer, it says this extension is not compatible with this version of firefox!

Open a Finder window select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. Then open the Library folder, then the Caches folder, then the com.apple.Safari folder.
Move the cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash. Relaunch Safari.
Which Mac OS X and which version of Safari do you have installed? It would help to add that to your forum profile. Click: *My Settings* right side of this page.
Also, turn off your Extensions. Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference.
