I haven't used IIS for a long time, so I can't give you a definitive answer about virtual directories. I use Apache virtual hosts, and they work without problem in Dreamweaver, but that's been true for as long as I can remember. There was definitely nothing new added to Dreamweaver CS6 with regard to server-side integration.
As for default documents, I've just checked Dreamweaver's Check Links Sitewide command. It doesn't support that type of link. However, it's an excellent suggestion for a future improvement. Why not file a feature request through the form at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform ?

Manage Sites Dialog Box Screen Redraw Problem

Using Dreamweaver CS6.0.1 on Mac Mountain Lion 10.8.2. When I open the "Manage Sites" dialog box, certain parts of the box are not visible unless I wave or click my mouse on that portion of the screen. Really sick of this. Also text entry into design view in Dreamweaver is maddeningly slow. I've got a fast Mac Pro with an SSD and 48 GB of RAM. Seriously would like to find the answers to these problems.

I have Dreamweaver CS6 on a MacBook Air with 4GB of RAM running OS X 10.8.2, and don't experience the problems you relate. However, there are some people on Macs who have been experiencing problems with 100% CPU and slow typing. Apparently these problems have been fixed in the Creative Cloud 12.1 update. If you're not a Creative Cloud subscriber, a fix should be coming shortly. See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1100065.

Help: printing skips dialog box option when printing from the finder

Anyone else running into the issue where you select a file from the finder, choose Command + P and instead of getting the print dialog box you get the file printed to the default printer? It is really annoying when you want to select print options or change printers. Is there a preference setting to force the print dialog box to open when choosing print from the finder. Currently I have to open the file in an app like Preview and then choose Command + P to get this to happen.
Any insights appreciated!

Is this recent that you are not seeing the print dialog when printing from Finder?
There isn't a preferences setting to force the dialog that I know of, but you can do a drag and drop to a printer while holding the option key - that'll give you access to the print dialog.

Crystal Reports 2011 Map Expert dialog box option

Hi
When I select the Graduated option, then click the Customize button on this dialog box (on the Type tab) to select a different symbol for the map, I get the following error message -
"Unable to find or load Helper dialog DLL.
Is there a fix for this error message.
If it helps, I have version 14.0.0.760 installed.

thank you for looking into this for me and for taking this to the next level.
at least you get the same error that i do.
i don't ever recall using the map feature in a previous version, so i don't know if it worked in any other version.
maybe someone in this forum has and will let me know.

Dreamweaver CS4 MacOS X dialog boxes are displaying the wrong font

Just installed a free font I needed to use for a graphic design project. Opened up Dreamweaver to do a different project and found that all the text in the dialog box was being displayed in this font.
This is pretty maddening to look at - how do I change it back?

Er, uninstall the font?
Installing a new font should not do that to Dreamweaver. It sounds as though you have overwritten a system font.

Help! Print Dialog Box Crashes!!!

Please help.
I open System Prefs and click 'Print & Fax'. I click + to add a printer. The dialog box opens for a few seconds and then closes. Just that window. I cannot add a printer at all or even print anything for that matter. I ran Printer Therapy and it finds nothing wrong. Same with TechTool Pro. Nothing seems to be wrong except this. Someone please help. This is a disaster. I even Logged out and tried a different user and it does the same thing!

Because it does the same with another user, this may not help, but it’s worth a try.
Go to the folder:
Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences
(where “yourusername” is the short name of your computer, like storm - the folder looks like a house/home)
Move the file com.apple.systempreferences.plist to the Desktop and restart.
If it doesn’t help, move the .plist file on the Desktop back into the original Preferences folder to replace the newly created one. If it does help, you’ll need to reset all your other System Preferences.

Need help regarding Modal dialog box in module pool programming

my program need a dialo box to popup and take some data and on pressing save button in the dialog box, the popup should close and the values in the previous screen should be updated.
my problem is, when i execute the program, i am unable to close the dialog box. i tried use sy-ucomm but found it of no use.
please tell me the way to access the close button in the dialog box.

Help using find dialog box with JTextArea

Hi i am using JTextField and getting a file read and then displayed in JTextField. Now i have used a dialog box for finding string within that file displayed in JTextField. I want to make it such that it ignores cases while finding the string and also want to make find next available in Find dialog box.

HOW DO I DISABLE THE "PREVENT THIS PAGE FROM OPENING ADDITIONAL DIALOG BOXES" OPTION ONCE SELECTED?

I clicked 'OK' thinking it reated to a specific dialog box, but now need it reversed.
Out of interest, I'm editing a weebly website design, and without the "are you sure you want to delete..." dialog, I can't actually delete anything!

This should work if you reload the page and bypass the cache.
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Dreamweaver help with site set up. Local and remote server

Hi,
I've just got dreamweaver cs6 and i'm having issues with managing the site.
Up until now I was using dreamweaver cs3 and when setting up a new site, the site definition had the category Local info and Remote info separated.
Now on CS6 I cannot set up both individually for the same site, it doesn't give the option, it's one or the other which it doesnt work for me if I want to test a page locally, via preview on browser, otherwise it will upload it to the server if I choose FTP. If I choose only local then I lose all the ftp settings and once I've done the testing it won't upload to the server.
Surely it has to be a work around this or something Im doing wrong but I can't see what it is

There is no need to uncheck remote and testing. Previewing locally should work exactly the same as it did in CS3.
Are you using a server-side language? If so, expand the Files panel by clicking this icon:
Then make sure that the Testing Server icon is selected.

File Save Dialog Box Option

Hi Experts,
Is there any Function Module or options available to save the contents of one Internal Table , by Browsing the Windows drive & Giving the File name.

Things seem to have gone crazy here. I cannot log into the client site using my partner portal password and username.
My client user which I set up as an admin, is saying that she cannot upload images saying she doesn't have the authority to do that and she cannot import items, with a different message.
Also, I see now way to modify or delete her as a user from the partner portal. Going fom my portal to the client site to details.

Help with site management

New Be taking a course in Dream Weaver using cs6 version. In regards to any help having two questions please. After saving a project. Is there a way I can copy the project over again to have as a second copy for any further purposes. Where my projects are stored under C Drive-- Users --- Jon----A folder I call Dream Weaver and another folder under that Home Work.
The other question. Is there a way I can delete a project in recent items under Dream Weaver Sart page. I've already deleted some work going to Site on the application bar to open the Manage Site dialog box and deleted there. Though I can't open up any projects under recent items the files are there in the start up page. I would just like to delete them. If anyone can help all of my work is in classic view. Thank you kindly Jon.

I think that in order to get rid of the Recent Items on the Dreamweaver Splash Screen, you would have to empty its cache of what was last opened. Depending on what's stored in the cache, that could be dangerous. I recommend you ignore it.
Besides, the "Open Recent" stuff changes in accordance with what you last opened. If you start working on a new website, that stuff will show up there.
And, if you have undefined a site and deleted the stuff in the site, you have cleared it off your hard drive.
As to copying stuff for later use, you can keep a second copy of your website anywhere you like and define that folder as a website by picking Site>New Site name the site and navigate to the local root folder for that site.

Manage Sites - All my existing Sites have disappeared..?

I have recently recovered form a hard drive crash and set up a new home directory.
When I open the <Manage Sites> dialog box in Dreamweaver CS4 all of my existing sites have disappeared and the list is empty.'
If I track the path in Finder <username/library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS4/en-US/configuration.SiteCache> I can see that all of the sites are still listed in folders there.
Is there a way to redirect Dreamweaver to see these existing sites?
If not, can someone suggest the best way to recover from this/

Correct - in order to keep those that are currently on the iPad they need to stay checked, and additional albums that you check will be added to those that are already on the iPad. Synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, they can only be deleted by un-checking/de-selecting them on that tab.

Re: manage site root host

I was wondering how you find your existing website or root domain under the manage site menu when uploading updated files for your website. I have already created the website but was trying to upload new documents onto the remote site. I can not even see our remote server in the manage site box and do not need to create a new root site when there is already one created. How do I find the current one when it is not showing up in the manage site box? What are my next steps if I am trying to upload new content onto my website with dreamweaver??

You would use your Manage Sites dialog box to type in the correct settings to connect to your remote site. There are two ways to view the files on the web server: 1) click the drop-down menu on the top right side of your Files panel and choose Remote view or 2) you can click on the last button to the right of the toolbar on your Files panel (a screentip will say "Expand to Show Local and Remote sites."
