Dreamweaver info

I run Oracle 9iAS with Oracle 8.1.7 database. I do all my web page and JSP development using Dreamweaver UltraDev 4 and Dreamweaver MX. I'm trying to create a JSP with an insert record form, using DW MX automated freatures. I can make a successful connection to the database, see my tables, etc. However, when I try to run the JSP from my test server, I get the following error:
JSP Error:
Request URI:/anosc/insert.jsp
Exception:
oracle.jsp.provider.JspCompileException:
Errors compiling:/Cots/oracle/9ias/Apache/Apache/htdocs/_pages/_anosc/_insert.java
Line # 287
Error
Method encodeRedirectURL(java.lang.String) not found in interface javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse. response.sendRedirect(response.encodeRedirectURL(MM_editRedirectUrl));
I have no idea what to do. Has someone run into this problem before?

  • Data looping

    Hi
Wow! SPRY is cool. I was going thru the samples online. Then
    when i reached
    Zuggest
Sample, i have type in the text field to get the info boxes
loopin thro the page. I want display initially all the product info
boxes - then when i enter for instance Dreamweaver, only
Dreamweaver info box is displayed, rest are hidden. Is it possible
to do? I guess it is. I want to know how to do it? can you help me
    please.
    Thank you in advance
    Krish

When you have regions selected, there parameters show up in the region parameters box.
When no regions are selected, it shows the MIDI Thru parameters, that work in real-time to your incoming MIDI. And these parameters are applied to every region you record.
So, if you don't want every region to loop, de-select all regions and turn off looping on the MIDI Thru parameters. While your here, it's also worthwhile choosing your default quantization parameters and so on - it's a great short hand.

  • Recovering Dreamweaver 3 preference and site info, ultimately migrating to cs5.5 on Windows XP

I had a hard drive failure in windows xp and have reinstalled windows xp and dreamweaver 3.  I have a backup of all my dreamweaver 3 files from the old machine, for example &sitename.dws, &sitename Changed.txt, &sitename Live.dws, &sitename Changed.txt.  I would like to have all my preferences, ftp info, etc. restored but cannot find any documentation on how to do that in Dreamweaver 3.
I tried replacing the following files with the backup versions:
    C:\Progam Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver3\Configuration\SiteCache
    C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver3\Configuration\SourceFormat.txt
as these were the only files I saw that appeared to have been modified by using Dreamweaver on the XP machine before the drive failure.
Is there any Dreamweaver 3 documentation about the names of preferences files, site files, and how to replace the default install files with backed up versions?
All help is sincerely appreciated as I have not been able to figure this out on my own.  I considered just replacing all the DW install files with my backup, but that would probably mess up the registry and I can't chance that.
Ultimately I will be moving to CS5.5--if I ever get my backed up information into my newly installed Dreamweaver 3, is there a way to migrate those preferences, site info, etc. to CS5.5?

Murray 'ACP', you are correct--DW3 does not have the option to back up to *.ste files, so I believe that pzciena is correct in stating that site information in DW3 is found in the registry and I can't recover that using files from my drive backup.  The reason I asked the question is because I am having trouble when using the FTP "Put" function to FTP files over to my website. The "Put" operation creates a subdirectory to the root file on the host.
The host directory is named "web" and I specify /web in my dreamweaver remote host site definition.  The "Put" operation creates a subdirectory using the same name as my local files subdirectory.  That is, on the local side, the file I am "put"ting is in subdirectory /hostsave and when it FTPs to the remote side, it creates a directory named "hostsave".  I deleted that directory on the remote side and tried FTPing a second time and it created the directory again.  This does not happen if I use Ipswitch to FTP the file, but I would prefer using the file transfer within dreamweaver since it checks to make sure I'm ftping all the image files in the .html file I'm PUTting.
I obviously have not re-created something correctly in redefining my site.  ????

  • Dreamweaver 8, Vista 64 - login info keeps getting deleted

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 on Vista 64, but am having a strange
problem - the saved login info (FTP username and password) are
deleted for whatever site definition happens to be selected at the
time I close Dreamweaver. I have to go to Manage Sites and edit the
site definition to add them again. This always seems to happen,
    every time I close Dreamweaver.
Login info saved for site definitions that aren't the active
site at the time Dreamweaver is closed appear unaffected.
    Also, I downloaded the
    updater
for 8.0.2, but when I try to run it a message says that the wizard
was interrupted, and my system was not modified. What gives
    there?

  • Dreamweaver 8 keeps deleting my saved FTPt info

Has anyone ever had a problem with this?
I have all of my sites saved in the manage sites section of
my Dreamweaver 8. For some reason when I go to select a new site
every so often all of the ftp info that I have saved in here will
be gone for no reason at all. This has happened more than once to
me and is very frustrating. If anyone has ever had this happen to
them please help me come up with a reason for it. Thank you

    > Has anyone ever had a problem with this?
Yes, as you would find by searching the forum.
Remove your IE7 beta, or install the DW update to 8.0.2.

  • Importing site info from Dreamweaver 8 to CS3

I am thinking about moving from Dreamweaver 8 to Dreamweaver
CS3. I have roughly 10 sites that I edit and update. I am wondering
if there is a way to import the site information from 8 to CS3
(meaning the FTP info, folders, etc).
    Thanks for the help,
    Joe

I have a similar issue. I had CS4 installed on my machine with about 20 sites/ftp info etc saved into it. My computer had a complete meltdown and I had to rebuild the computer. I have installed CS4 onto the new hard drive and I was able to save the old hard drive (it was unstable though and safer to start fresh). Is it possible to have my installation of CS4 grab the site information from a different drive on my machine? I was hoping it would just find it when I installed the software, but no such luck.
I tried "importing sites" but I could find any .ste files that it was looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It will take a long time to re-input all of those sites.

  • Client Site info on Dreamweaver

Every once in awhile Dreamweaver drops ALL my clients site
info after entering 40 + client sites & I have to re-enter them
all...it's a real pain. Anyone else have this issue? and can it be
    fixed.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause such issues.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems, make sure that the window is not maximized:
    *<b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

  • Dreamweaver CS5 Mac not remembering login info

    Hi folks,
About a month ago I had DW lose all my site definitions for no apparent reason. ALL of them. Fortunately I had a backup copy on my laptop and I exported all my site defs and then re imported them into my desktop app.   Since that time DW will not remember any usernames or passwords for any of my sites after a restart. This is getting REALLY annoying, and I see NO way of fixing it.    The site definitions are all there, but just the login info is missing.
Any help GREATLY appreciated.  I don't even know where to begin to try to fix this problem.
    Jeff

I had already tried keychain repair. It reported no problems and repair fixed none.
The only thing that looks a little odd in the keychain is some private Adobe Encrypted data that looks something like this:
    Checked contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/com.adobe.amp.4875E02D9FB2xxxxxxxxxxx85DF8CE.1/PrivateEncryptedData k
    Checked contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/com.adobe.amp.E7BED6xxxxxxxxxxx86B1598278E07.1/PrivateEncryptedData k
Checked contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/com.adobe.WidgetBrowser.E7BED6E5xxxxxxxxxxx8278E07.1/PrivateEncrypt edDatak
    Checked contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/TweetDeckFast.FFF25xxxxxxxxxxx8EFC56543.1/PrivateEncryptedDatak
    Other than that,
I see items that look like they should be working, including the right passwords:
    SiteServer 0 application password,  Sites\-Site55
and a lot of legacy Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 Site Sites\-Site64-Live Data User PW
Seems like there is some confusion since CS5 allows one login info for both remote and testing, but don't think that is the problem.

  • Dreamweaver FTP LogIn Info

Where does Dreamweaver CS5 store FTP log in info for defined sites? I erased by hard drive and reinstalled my operating system, and worked with a senior Apple tech to restore my settings and programs from a Time Machine back up. Dreamweaver is there and working fine, but the site definitions are missing the log-in and passwords to connect via ftp. Where is that info stored? Is there a preferences file somewhere?

Jh100 as Mylenium suggested can you please post your question regarding features of Dreamweaver to the Dreamweaver forum?

  • Dreamweaver "forgets" login info?

I am having this problem, which only started occurring after I installed the 11.0.3 update http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ where Dreamweaver is not retaining the login and password info for my sites. I even unclick the "save" checkbox and re-click it after logging in. Then it works for a while. Then when I try to connect to the site with the Files palette. Not sure what is going on. If anyone has solutions I would appreciate it.
Also, I noticed that Dreamweaver does not indicate the version update in the "About Dreamweaver" dialog, to 11.0.3, but retains 11.0

I'm having this problem too. It started when DW suddenly wiped out ALL My site definitions. And I had to import them from a backup.  Now it is not remembering my login info, but it only seems to be happening on some sites.
I'm on a Mac with Snow Leopard with what I think is the latest build for CS5
    Any help appreciated.

  • Dreamweaver CC fluid grid controls disappearing and other info

    Hi All,
I have finally completed my first commercial fluid grid design in Dreamweaver CC and it was a bit of a mission.
One disconcerting thing about the program is that the fluid grid controls keep disappearing. You know, the ones where you can hide the div, duplicate it, move it up or down, or delete it.
I have found that when this happens, I need to close the html file I am working on in DW CC and then open it again. The controls then appear again, so you can rearrange your various layouts as demonstrated in those breezy demo videos about DW CC fluid grid layouts.
So don't just conclude you have broken the code when these controls disappear, try closing and opening the file again first.
Also you need to insert all the divs you need for all layouts in the mobile phone layout, as that is the main layout, governing all the others because of the way the media queries are set up in the CSS file that is created when you start your fluid grid layout.
I could not work out how to reorder divs in the different layouts, this may not be possible at the moment. Instead I created divs in the phone layout to cover all of the divs needed in the three layout sizes and switched them off and on in the various layouts. This works really well, but I found that DW behaved strangely if I switched a div off in the mobile layout and then tried to style it in one of the other layouts. So I suggest styling all of the divs first for all the layouts before switching any of them off in the mobile layout.
Also you can't copy the contents of one div and put them in another without freaking the program out, especially if you are working in a div that is hidden in the mobile layout.
I suggest saving regularly as you add new divs and style them and view live in a browser immediately, as the preview in DW CC is not reliable. It can't show rounded div corners or shadows for example.
Keep an eye on the code as it is built by your use of the CSS Properties panel. If it starts going wrong, close the html file without saving it or the attached CSS file. Then go back in and try what you want to do again.
If you save weird code errors, your work could be so compromised that you need to start all over again. So quit out without saving if you notice this.
After much experimentation I now insert images into a div, rather than make them a background image, as the background image will not completely show if the content of the div is not long enough. This may require a rethink of your design.
Doing any absolute sizes in a div will make the responsive design very hard to style and possibly break the code, so I don't suggest it.
Adding padding to a div can make it stick out of right edge of the design, I am not sure why this is the case and could not work out how to stop it. So use low pixel numbers in the padding of a div.
Also control z seems to be a sudden death move, so I stopped doing that.
So my first job has been a bit of a ride, but I seem to be nearly there on my first design.
I think DW CC is still a work in progress and I look forward to further updates of the software.

    Hi Top Ten,
You can't get them back once they go. You now need to edit the css code manually to do the same thing.
For instance if you want divs to sit beside each other you put this in the css for that div:
    clear: none;
This css means that div will allow other divs to sit beside it.
Then put in a width in percentages. For example if you have three divs that need to sit beside each other put:
    width: 33%;
in each of them. Or maybe:
    width: 31%;
    margin-right: 2%;
Fortunately in DWCC it is now robust enough for you to do those code changes by hand. My original question in this thread was posed when DW CC fluid grid had just come out and crashed easily. A year later all is well, so you can do those changes in the css code without problems now.
    Regards,
    Mary

  • Info on how to work with Reflow docs in Dreamweaver?

Ok, I'm new to web design and development. I've taken several onlin HTML5, CSS and Dreamwever courses but still easaly confused.
I'm looking at Reflow and wondering if I can use it to create responsinve sites visually then take the css into Dreamweaver and give it whatever it needs to be a functioning site for publishing online. If so is there any documentation or tutorials on this subject? Basically something that shows the integration between the two applications, if there even meant to be an integration.
Also will there be any itegration with Business Catalyst?
    Nathan

Right now Reflow creates preview html. You could in theory take that and extract the styling and html needed to bring it into Dreamweaver.
We don't actively support that workflow, but it's technically possible. You'll get a lot of ID's in the CSS that you'll want to convert to classes most likely.
But, the css and html will all be there to look at! Take a look in your Reflow project folder called "assets" for the pages you've created.

  • Has anyone found any info on stopping Photoshop & DreamWeaver CC from crashing?

Aodobe thinks the issue is that my DELL 620 i5 with 6GB RAM 2 TB drive 500GB scratch disk and Windows 7 64bit is the problem. However, since the system is just over a yr old I do not want toreplace it just to make the CC products run.So does anyone have any input or advice to keep Ps and Dw from crashing?
Note the CS6 editions ar3e working fine.
Is it possible to go back to the CS6 editions if youve created PSDs in CC? Is there support for Camera Raw 8.1 in CS6?
HTML, CSS and DWT files created in DreamWeaver CC. Will these files open and work correctly in DreamWeaver CS6?
In order to use PS CC and Dw CC it sounds like I need to get a Windows 8 PC and laptop because CC will not run without problems on either my PC or laptop. I'm just a poor photograpgh so do not have the funds to replace hardware that's only a little over a year old. Is anyone else finding the CC product line "crashy"?

I seem to have found the solution to Photoshop crashing (for me, at least). This answer fixed the problem with CC crashing on open:
