【1】Dreamweaverを開くときのエラー・メッセージ:
以下のJavaScriptエラーが表示されます。
「ライン56、ファイル“C¥Program Files¥Macromedia¥Dreamweaver8¥Configuration¥Shared¥Common¥Scripts¥dwscriptsExtData.js”:Re ferenceError:dwscrpts is not defined」

  • Cs6 dreamweaver - javascript error with Clean up Word HTML . . .

Very recently upgraded to CS6 from CS5.5. Every now and then, I have to run the Clean up Word HTML Commands function for a client. Never had a problem before. This time, I got this message:
While executing onClick in Clean Up Word HTML.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 2012 of the "Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver CS6:Configuration:commans:Clean Up Word HTML.js"
The object is not currently contained in a document.
I searched through the Discussions and found refernce to deleting MacFileCache-###.dat file in the Library Configuration folder for Dreamweaver CS 6. Did that, same thing. It also mentioned deleted the entire Configuration folder. Same result.
I called tech support and was directed to go through the (count 'em) 14 steps on the Troubleshoot JavaScript page -- http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/troubleshoot-javascript-errors-dreamweaver-cs4.html. Still no luck.
Anyone else out there having this problem? What am I missing? Help!
    Thanks, Tim

    Hi SnakEyes02,
That could be. Let me know when you have grabbed these. They were Word docs that I saved the same way I always have done (Save As, Format: Web Page (.htm)), creating .htm files that work in CS5.5 Dreamweaver and earlier versions.

  • Dreamweaver Javascript Errors

    Hi Guys,
Experiancing problems again. I have tried uninstalling
dreamweaver then re-installing but that hasnt stopped the problem.
When opening dreamweaver i get a javascript error which is as
    follows:
    1) While executing OnLoad in RecordSetFind.html the following
    Javascript errors occured:
    in file ""RecordSetFind""
Reference Error: Findr's is not defined
And when closing Dreamweaver I get this javascript error:
    1) While executing OnLoad in TeamAdminTempDelete.html the
    following Javascript errors occured:
    in file ""TeamAdminTempDelete""
Reference Error: delTempfile is not defined
Can anybody please help me in getting rid of this problem?
    thanks a lot.

You can try this simple fix -
    Quit DW.
    Find this folder -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
    or on Mac -
    Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver
    8/Configuration/MacFileCache-*.dat
    and delete it.
    Restart DW. Works better?

Do almost anything in Dreamweaver CS4 with ASP VBScript seems to produce javascript error messages.  can be a blank page, and you try to create a recordset... error box, error box, and then the code gets inserted but is not in the server behaviors panel.  i'm usually working in php and have never had this problem, but it's quite annoying to work that way... being forced to hand code a lot simple because dreamweaver isn't working correctly.

  • Gettig a spry javascript error

I create a form and when after I insert a Spry text
validation field and fill out the dialog box, I get this error:
    While
    executing inspectSelection in Spry_ValidationTextField.htm, a
    javascript error occurred.
I hit OK and then I get it again and then I hit OK again and
then I go back to DW but the scrpt is not working propperly after
    that.
    What is wrong?

That's not the javascript cache. That's DW's file cache. It's
    a standard
    solution for things like this.

  • Dreamweaver error on inserting an XSLT repeat region

I am getting a Dreamweaver JavaScript error message when
attempting to insert an XSLT Repeat Region under certain
circumstances in Dreamweaver 8.0.2 for Windows. I have posted a
    full description on
    David
Powers's friends of ED forum, but I wanted to report it here as
    well for confirmation.
When creating a Repeat Region in an XSLT fragment, the
    following error message appears:
While executing objetTag in XSLT_ForEach.htm, the following
JavaScript error(s) occurred: At line 502 of the file "C:\Program
    Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\Objects\Server\serverObjectsCommon.js": Type Error:
    dwscripts.getBalancedSelection is not a function
    This error is entirely reproducible,
but not if any PHP file has been open at any point since the
    XSLT fragment was opened.
    To illustrate:
    0) If Dreamweaver is running, exit completely.
    1) Start Dreamweaver.
    2) Create a new XSLT fragment, or open an existing one.
    3) In design view, place a field from an XML source into your
fragment, select it, and then try to create an XSLT repeat region.
The error message described above appears. Dismiss the error
dialog, but keep the XSLT fragment document open.
    4) Create a new PHP document (or open an existing one), then
    close it.
    5) Back in your XSLT fragment, try again to create the repeat
    region. Now it works.
If you open the PHP document
before creating the XSLT fragment, you still get the error
-- even if you leave the PHP document open. If you open the PHP
    document
after you open the XSLT fragment, you do not get the error
-- even if you close the PHP document before you create the XSLT
    repeat region.
    It looks like
the key is to touch a PHP document at some point
after the XSLT fragment is opened. So that is the
workaround. My guess is that one of the included internal
JavaScript scripts is not being sourced until a PHP document is
opened, but this is probably not intended behavior.

    party. You
could also try it the other way round - disabling extensions

until it works OK. If you have recently installed a new
    extension, that
may be the one to test first.
Another thing you can try is this:
You can try this to see if it solves your problem:
    Close Dreamweaver.
    Find C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
Delete the file (it's in a hidden folder, so you need to have
    enabled
the option to see hidden files and folders).
Restart DW. See if your problem has gone away.
    Thanks, David.
Actually, what I was looking for was a way to trace what
Dreamweaver is doing behind the scenes -- what scripts it is
loading, and what errors those scripts throw. I had already tried
uninstalling all my extensions and deleting my entire user
configuration directory (not just the WinFileCache file), to no
avail. I also tried running the "Repair" program from the Studio
    installation, but the problem persisted.
So I resorted to uninstalling and reinstalling Dreamweaver
from scratch from the original Studio 8 CD.
Amazingly, even before I applied the 8.0.2 (or 8.0.1) update or
installed any hotfixes or extensions, the same error message
    appeared.
Before reinstalling, I took care to delete my user
configuration directory (actually, I deleted the entire
    C:\Documents and Settings\{Username}\Application
    Settings\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8/ tree. I took care to
uninstall Dreamweaver 8 completely using the uninstall program, and
    I confirmed that the
    C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\ directory was
gone before reinstalling. In the outside chance that there was a
problem with my install CD itself, I even tried installing twice --
once from the install-image Studio 8 CD I downloaded from the
Macromedia Store after upgrading from MX 2004, and once from the
official Studio 8 CD I ordered by mail afterwards.
So it's not my installation, it's not the hotfix, and it's
not any of the extensions I've installed. It's a bona-fide bug.
(What I can't figure out is why David was not able to reproduce
    it.)
    Next?

  • How to use a Flash/Flex GUI for DW Extensions

I am creating a DW extension for an image and flash gallery.
The extension will be accessible from the Insert menu. Once
clicked, it would present me with a Flash/Flex form to
search/browse for images/swf by file name or tags. Once I select an
image/swf and clicked OK, it would insert into my webpage the

You should check out the Flash panels and Dialogs section of
the Dreamweaver API reference. Here is a link.

This gives you direct access to Flash panels and dialogs from
the Dreamweaver Javascript API. Adobe is working on a document for
how to create CSXS based Flash Extensions. CSXS based extensions
only work as a floating panel that surface themselves in the

  • Dweaver:.jpg rollover activates .swf in seperate AP-Div

    Thursday, May 15th, 2008: 7:22pm PDT
    Hi,
I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 and I have built separate Flash CS3
.swf movie clip files that are contained (one at a time) in the
center of the page by an AP-Div Tag on my web page. Around the
center AP-Div tag are eight (8) small .jpeg thumbnails of the Flash
.swf movie clips they represent. I am trying to create eight (8)
disjointed rollovers that swap out the .jpg for the .swf in the
    center.
I want to hover over the small .jpeg (still image) and have
Dreamweaver javascript swap out one .swf file for the one being
hovered over. I cannot get this to happen. Dreamweaver CS3 will not
swap out the .swf using the Behavior Attributes palette
    "Swap-Out/Restore" feature.
How can I accomplish this task?
P.S.: On the other hand, a simple disjointed static
    .jpeg-to-.jpeg works fine.
    LightningF22

Div tags 98-101 are positioned in the right place when I'm looking at my page in Dreamweaver. But when I preview the page, those 4 div tags are not where they're supposed to be
I thought I was reading it wrong, but you really do have 101 AP divs on the page. I don't have the time to go through your code, but using absolutely positioned divs as the sole basis for page layout is likely to lead to massive problems. AP divs (or layers, as they used to be called) were all the rage several years ago, because people wrongly thought they would make web pages work like desktop publishing. I used them, too, until I realized they caused massive problems.
It won't solve your current problem, I'm afraid, but I recommend that you take a look at the following page, which describes some of the problems with AP div/layers: http://apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php.

  • Quick CSS layout question

This should be a quick one - I have just added in some links to the other countries on the page below. Basically all the links under the main Botswana image on the left hand side.
Trouble is, that they have knocked the second row of lodges down to their right (this is how they should appear: http://www.goodsafariguide.com/botswana/index.php)
I thought the culprit might be a clear:both; in the #outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content #row_two rule in the botswana_layout.css file, but apparently not.
If anyone could quickly spot how to fix this that would be great.
    The page is here:

    Good news with the solution!

Its interesting that you mention the <a href="someurl.php"><div>Some content</div></a> thing. Although it seems to work, it wa something I wasn't entirely convinced was technically correct. I'm not sure how else you would do that though, and it seems a fairly common thing on sites (if not achieved the same way), ie having a large area that acts as a link. Maybe it should be contained in an outer DIV.
    Thanks again for your help.
As I understand it, strictly speaking a <div> cannot be a link so, it should not be wrapped in an anchor tag.  I think it has something to do with the fact that a <div> is a block level element and <a> is in line.  This link http://htmlhelp.com/reference/wilbur/special/a.html is a reference for <a> it lists what other elements it can occur in and what it can contain.  An <a> can be placed inside a <div> but not the other way around.  Having said that, your use of the two elements kind of proves that they work but then you can fix wood together with nails and screws but some situations call for one or the other!  Reading up on this, I learn that it's different now in HTML5 but then I imagine, that was done to confuse me!
The way I work out a page these days is based on my simple understanding of semantic code which for me means that the best element to use will always be the one that was intended for that job.  The most obvious are <ul> and <li> for lists and <p> for a paragraph.  I suppose <head> and <body> give even stronger clues.  I also understand that search engines and in particular, Google, appreciate the proper use of these elements when pages are crawled.  I know that SEO is a dark art but it kind of makes sense that a stupid robot will understand only the information is sees.  It knows a list is a list but it doesn't know that a div is a list.
I have had a go at building your box of images using Dreamweaver Javascript rollover and the list elements.  It's quick and dirty and the javascript makes it look more complicated than it is.  However, if you compare my code with yours, I think that you will agree that my alternative is more straight forward and easier to read.
One other thing about this idea is that but putting your image in the page, you can get a bit more content in there with your alt="" and title"" attributes.  At the moment, your option is a string of content-less divs.

  • What is Dreamwaver made of....? How was it programmed...?

    Hi guys
    Happy new year!
Just wondering how Dreamweaver was developed..? What language was used?
I know nothing of software programming but was wondering does dw actually contain any css or javascript etc to work, not what it can do if that makes sense...?
    Cheers guys.

    altruistic gramps wrote:
JavaScript needs an interpreter to be able to function, and is found in modern web browsers and also in DW. The interpreter was no doubt written in C++.
Maybe it was. Maybe it wasn't. The fact remains that most of Dreamweaver's functionality is exposed through its JavaScript API. See the Dreamweaver CS5 API Reference for chapter and verse. The introduction has this to say:
The Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 API Reference describes
the application programming interfaces (APIs). The APIs let you
perform various supporting tasks when developing Adobe® Dreamweaver®
CS5 extensions and adding program code to your Dreamweaver web pages.
The APIs include the main JavaScript API which provides access to
most of the core functionalities of Dreamweaver. Core functionalities
of Dreamweaver means generally anything that can be done with a
menu, and more. It also includes various utility APIs for performing
such common tasks as reading and writing files, transferring information
with HTTP, and communicating with Fireworks and Flash.
I suspect that the underlying language is actually C, not C++, because you need to write code in C to add functionality not already available through the Dreamweaver API:
    The
C-level extensibility mechanism lets you implement Adobe Dreamweaver extensibility
files using a combination of JavaScript and custom C code. You define
functions using C, bundle them in a dynamic linked library (DLL)
or a shared library, save the library in the Configuration/JSExtensions
folder within the Dreamweaver application folder, and then call
the functions from JavaScript using the Dreamweaver JavaScript interpreter.
For example, you might want to define a Dreamweaver object that
inserts the contents of a user-specified file into the current document.
Because client-side JavaScript does not provide support file input/output
(I/O), you must write a function in C to provide this functionality.

  • Simple image slideshow --- How??

How is it possible to make a simple, non-interactive slideshow of images - with NO LINKS, NO BUTTONS - nothing, except the pictures as a non-interactive slideshow.
I did find some jQuery scripts but I'm unable to make it work. Check the links below:
Here is the website that I used as a help reference: http://www.geckodesigns.com/tutorial-dreamweaver-javascript-slideshow. php
Here's my website's subpage: http://rockworksstudio.fi/rantatylli/pages/palvelut.html where I have tried putting up this slideshow.
So I have done everything as guided on the first website but as you can see, it doesn't "play" the slideshow. Any help from you guys?
Please mail me to: [email protected] or answer on this forum. The help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the darndest time getting my first slideshow to work. I kept making really stupid errors, but stupid errors are only stupid in retrospect.
First: You must have the jQuery library in your website and your page must correctly point to it. Gecko Designs is using jQuery 1.7.2, so you should not use any other version, as later versions may "break" the code. Also, if you don't create the JavaScript instructions for Gecko's Cycle plugin in your <head> area (if you put it into the <body> of your webpage), it won't work.
One mistake I made is when I put in the instructions, I forgot my head. The full code for their instructions ought to be:
    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
    jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
    $('#slideshow').cycle({ fx: 'fade'});
    </script>
I generally put these things just before the closing head tag: </head> But I put the calls to jQuery and the specific plugin before I put in the instructions. It's calling something that is supposed to be loaded before it calls it, so I put it above.
    So, do this:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.7.2.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.cycle.all.js"></script>
    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
    jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
    $('#slideshow').cycle({ fx: 'fade'});
    </script>
    </head>
Also, make darned sure that jQuery is in your /js folder. I generally will select the path and filename and right-click, choose Code Hint Tools> URL browser and then click on Browse… then select the file within your defined site to make sure that I have the correct path.
