DreamWeaver Keeps Closing on opening

Hi
PLEASE can someone help. I have bought a new mac 2.3
notebook. Dreamweaver will not open at all. it just get to the
opening page and then closes . the mac is asking do i want to
cancle reopen ???
Please can someone help me.

Creative cloud apps keep closing after opening

My adobe cc apps cloes after opening them. I have tried everything on the forums, even singing out from adobe creative cloud. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash keeps closing after opening, the only one working is adobe Muse. I have purchased the adobe membership 3 days ago and i still havent be able to use them exept Adobe muse. How is that Muse works and all the others applications dont? Please help. Thanks.

This is a kind of issue where it is difficult to know the cause and the cure.
You may try the list below, and/or one of the links further below, and/or hope for one of our forum staff friends to see this.
List:
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

My Dreamweaver keeps crashing as soon as I open it

My Dreamweaver keeps crashing as soon as I open it. I'm not sure what has changed considering I was able to open it not too long ago. Suggestions? I keep getting "Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread"

If you recently upgraded to Yosemite, re-installing CS5 may be necessary.
First, deactivate CS5 from your Help menu.
Use the CS Cleaner Tools below followed by a software re-install.

Possible2 keep Import pane open after import has started?(prevent closing)

Hi all,
I am currently in the process of consolidating all my images into Aperture 2. I have a lot of "old images" in various folders on a separate harddisk, and I want to bring them into various existing Aperture Projects.
The "issue" I have, is that whilst I could just drag a (physical) folder into Aperture containing sub-folders, and these would auto-generate albums, I do want to take advantage of adding keywords and basic metadata for the individual import sessions, i.e. use the Import dialog in Aperture 2.
When you again and again have to wait for the import dialog to do it's fancy animation, it becomes a little bothering - any way to tick a box and say "keep the thing open"?
I might be missing something very obvious, but searching the forums and the Aperture 2 help files did not really point me to anything...

You can just import import all your images from your harddisk in one single import batch using "Import Folders" and then let Aperture create an Album for each Folder.
When the import is finished then you just click on each Album and "Select All" and add keywords from either the "Keywords HUD" or the "Keywords Control". You will hereby also be able to take advantage of your keyword hierarcy. This is much faster than applying keywords Folder by Folder on import.
Import all your images into one new Project and then move them to the respective existing Projets afterwards. Same goes for your new Albums to existing Albums. Takes only seconds.

Keeping the connection open while in sleep

I was just wondering if there is anyway to keep the internet connection open while the computer is in sleep mode? I have looked around for a little bit but I figured someone else probably already has an answer.
Just to clarify I don't mean closing the laptop but just putting it into sleep mode. I've read you can't keep a connection open while the laptop is closed but I was wondering if there was a difference between putting it to sleep and closing the laptop.

No difference. If you need to keep the connection open, which is what I do, then set the Energy Saver to never sleep.

Garageband Keeps closing on me.

My garageband program keeps closing on me when I try to export a song into iTunes so I can burn it onto a CD. Garageband will mix the song then iTunes will open but before it gets to fully exporting the song the message that Garageband unexpectedly quit pops up.

Try closing all applications open in multitasking and power cycling the device. Test accessing the iTunes store after the steps are processed.
If an app is unresponsive but the system seems to respond to button presses, you can force the app to close:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If the issues persist, you may need to restore the device as Apple installed applications are unable to be deleted and reinstalled like third-party applications.

Keep DB Connection Open

I have an Oracle stored procedure that I need to call for a list of records in Crystal.
What I have done is created a UFL to make the call and provide the return results.
I call the Custom Function for each record returned however, it's taking a long time to process.
I believe this is because the connection to the oracle database is being opened, called and closed for each record.
Is there any way to open the connection when the reports starts running, return the results for each record and then close the connection when the report completes?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Raymond,
The reason why CR opens/closes for each record is because you are using a UFL it's going to be processed on the second pass of the report which means because it's a formula CR will process it after the connection is closed. If CR can convert the formula into SQL then it happens server side but in your case you need to run the query for each record.
Have you had a look at using a Command Object? It would require returning all of the data but at least the ufl function would then filter on the Command data and not hit the database. You may have to re-write your UFL functions so it doesn't go to the DB but uses the cached data in the Command object.
Another option would be to write your own OLE DB Provider. DataDirect who we partner with for data sources, offers an SDK so you can build in security and anything else you need or would like to have.

As for stopping CR from disconnecting that won't happen. We release the connection to free resources once we are done, keeping the connection open causes problems for all applications like Brian indicated.
You may have to re-design your report and do the filtering client side rather than server side.

Dreamweaver CS6 hangs when opening file

Starting recently Dreamweaver CS6 hangs for 30 seconds or more, sometimes saying not responding, when I open an HTML file. It appears to do this when the file contains links to external places. To test I created a file that contained nothing except the "new HTML file" basic headers, saved the file, then opened. This test file did not hang.
I have tried the registry fix "ResolveRemoteURLToIPAddress FALSE" and deleting the personal configuration directory (with Dreamweaver closed). Neither of these solved the problem. Dreamweaver still hangs when opening a file.
Any other ideas?

Once the document opens, check the code for any protocol relative links (links that start with // rather than http://) and change them to http:// links, at least during development. It is a know issue to Adobe and will cause what you describe.
If you don't have any protocol relative links, links to third party sites can cause issues from time to time if their servers are slow or have any kind of conflict with your network. Unless you absolutely can't, you may want to copy those external scripts to your local site and link to the local versions instead, again, during development.

Mail keeps closing

I used a clip art site and now keep receiving tons of junk mail. One in particular I cannot delete. When I open up mail it keeps closing out. I have created a new account with a new address and did not keep anything from the old account. But mail still keeps closing. Any help is appreciated.

Would you please share the even file (the OneDrive link where you stored your Event file) to us so that we can analyze it.
You can first try to start Outlook in safe mode to check if the issue continues. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
outlook.exe /safe and press Enter. If the issue would be gone in safe mode, please go to File > Options > Add-ins and disable suspicious add-ins to resolve the issue.
If the issue persists in Safe Mode, you can try to create a new mail profile in Control Panel > Mail and reconfigure your email account in the new mail profile to check the result. For your reference:
