Dreamweaver no longer supported? erk?!?!?

Here's my reasoning ...
coldfusion 8 have been out for quiet some time now.
dreamweaver cs3 have been out quiet some time now. And yet, none of
the coldfusion8 tags are supported in dreamweaver ... Making it
difficult, at best, to develop for coldfusion in dreamweaver. Even
after all of the "updates" from Adobe does not update dreamweaver,
only most of their other CS3 products.
Since dreamweaver is not being updated, what development
environment does Adobe now recommend for developing coldfusion? If
I am correct about dreamweaver, this would be the 2nd product (that
I know of) where Adobe still sells licenses but no longer supports
nor updates (bug fixes, features, etc).

They are supported, but as the product versions (DW and CF)
are out of sync, they went with an extension that is available

Trying to set up Dreamweaver, PhotoShop & Illustrator for free trial and it won't let me past a page that says I am running an operating system that Dreamweaver no longer supports. What are my options?

upgrade your os.  if your using os x 10.6.8, Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mavericks.

  • You are running an operating system that Dreamweaver no longer supports.

You are running an operating system that Dreamweaver no longer supports. so i cannot download a trial version i am operating vista windows, how can i get this trial version
    thanks

You CAN find downloads of older trials here: http://prodesigntools.com/tag/ddl
You need to follow their instructions VERY CAREFULLY and completely, or the links don't work.
Of course, without a valid product key (which Adobe doesn't sell anymore, except for CS6 - maybe) you can only use them for 30 days.

  • Older version of Dreamweaver no longer supported by Adobe?

I have Dreamweaver MX2004 with valid licenses which are accepted, but when I try to activate the product it cannot be done online and the telephone numbers provided are no longer working. When I contacted Adobe they said 'Older versions are no longer supported, try the forums' Anybody help me with this?

Adobe stopped their licensing servers for CS2 and below some time ago. And your product is not an Adobe product.
Adobe released a series of serial numbers for their older products that should work:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/macromedia-legacy-activation-error.html
Be aware that your software is almost 10 years old. You may be well advised to upgrade to something that is more compliant with current web standards. I would mention that your version of Dreamweaver would work very well for doing HTML documents for email.

  • Dreamweaver CS5 deprecated support

I recently upgraded to CS5 after having successfully used MS Access and Dreamweaver, MS Access and Ultradev, and even MS Access and Drumbeat before both Macromedia and Adobe.
I come to find out that ASP Javascript which is what I have been using is no longer supported.  I tried to get asp.net with VB to work but the new dreamweaver would not generate the MMHTTPDB.asp script needed for testing (yes I had the correct directory in my testing server setup).
OK I said... I'll learn Php.  Not without learning Mysql you won't said Adobe.  No setup available for Php and  MS Access.
I Downloaded the FREE Visual Studio Express and in less time than I spent trying to get CS5 to work was up and running generating pages for my site.
I find it quite ironic that I had to give Adobe $199 to have them push me entirely to Microsoft.  C'est la Vie!

You're absolutely correct....I should have done my homework.  I thought I would save some time.
Serendipitously however, I find myself in a better place.

  • I have an older 8GB iPod Touch no longer supported by tech. It is locked up in "Restore" mode and fails to respond to 2-button reset. I get the apple logo and then it pos back to the cord and disc icon for restore. Any advice?

I have an older 8GB black iPod Touch (no bluetooth) no longer supported by tech. It is "locked" in restore mode. When I do a 2 button reset I can get the Apple logo but then it pops back to the synch cord-and-music disc icon indicative of restore. Any advice?

    Hello honeycrisp70,
For that error, check out the article below for additional troubleshooting to get it sorted out. If it continues then you may need to contact Apple support.
Resolve iOS update and restore errors
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/TS3694
    Check for hardware issues
    Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer may have a hardware issue that's preventing the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
    Regards,

Here is a post I assembled for another with a similar problem:
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta.  Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion).  While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
    Workarounds:
    1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
    2.  If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between your PPC software or Lion/Mt. Lion;
    3. Upgrade to an Intel compatible versions of your software, or find alternatives that will open your data files;
    3.  Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels:

Full Snow Leopard installation instructions here:

NOTE: STEP ONE of the instructions must currently be completed on a Snow Leopard or Lion Mac and the resulting modified Snow Leopard.cdr install file can then be moved over to your Mountain Lion Mac for completion of the remaining steps.

  • Windows vista no longer supported?

when i try download a trial version of photoshop it says my system is no longer supported i run  a windows vista 32 bit. is there no way around this? do i have to get a new computer to be able to use nphotoshop or upgrade my system?

GCordeaux Photoshop CC does not support Windows Vista.  You can find the system requirements at System requirements | Photoshop.  You may want to look at upgrading to Windows 7 or 8.  If you do decide to purchase a new computer then I would recommend one with a 64-bit processor to help ensure you meet future system requirements.

I keep getting error message, "can't open application PACE because PowerPC applications are no longer supported." I've run Clean My Mac and I still get the error.

Use the Finder "Go" menu while holding down the option key to expose your User / Library folder.
Look in the Application Support folder for PACE items and delete them.

When trying to setup my external hard drive, I get this box that pops up and says this:
You can’t open the application “LaCie Setup Assistant” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

PowerPC was a type of processor used in Mac systems before Apple switched to Intel-based processors. These older chips required applications to be coded differently, to the extent that they will not run on the Intel processors in newer Macs. Apple used to include a translator that allowed these programs to at least run, but this translator is no longer available so if you run into an older PowerPC-based program then OS X will give you this error.

    Hi,
PSC 1315 no longer supported for scanning since Mac OS X v10.5 or while using any newer OS, there is no scan software provided by either HP or Apple (Image Capture)
You may find this information stated below for Leopard, the same apply for any newer OS version:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01234231&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en &os=219&product=374568&sw_lang=
Image capture will not recognize your device as well, only print is supported as you may find listed for teh PSC 1310 Series below:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP
Although there is no official scanning support for your device you may still try the 3rd party VueScan software which list your scanner as supported and compatible with Mountain Lion:

  • Utilities Applications grayed and crossed out, "No longer supported"?

Originally I wanted to Verify and Repair my Disk Permissions since I've been having difficulty with my disk drive [playing the Sims 3, it told me that there was an error in the Disk Authorization and that the disk was not found in the drive]. Following the instructions on the Sims 3 site to fix this problem, one solution would work then it would fail again so I continued down the line of fixes until it told me that "Its possible you might  be experiencing some damage in your permissions or an issue with your start up disk please follow these steps below." Then proceeded to tell me how to verify and eventually repair which entailed going to the Utilities folder and opening the app "Disk Utility". But when I got to the Utilites folder I found that all of the application icons where grayed out and crossed out in white. When I attempted to open any app a window would tell me, "You can't open the application <app name> because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.
Now I found a question/discussion nearly identical to this, only it was in the Leopard discussions, and I obviously have Lion. The one reply on this subject suggested two things, both of were not options for me and the other user with this problem. Link: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1826047?threadID=1826047
I have no idea what to do at this point, I just want my Mac to work for once and let me play my **** Sims.
If it helps, I have a MacBook Pro, mid 2007, with many different applications installed, I recieved it as a hand-me-down two years ago and I'm not so familiar with all of the applications, so I couldn't begin to tell you what exactly is on here.

PPC apps won't run in Lion. Sorry that you missed that small detail before upgrading.
