Dreamweaver not saving sites login info
Dreamweaver 8 is not saving my site logins and passwords,
regardless of whether or not the "save" checkbox is enabled.
This is on XP 64bit, I did not have this problem on my
previous machine running the same version of Dreamweaver and
XP64.
Search this for for "It's posted a million times - uninstall
IE7 or update
to DW 8.0.2". I'm sure you'll find your answer in one of
them.... 8)

Dreamweaver 8, Vista 64 - login info keeps getting deleted
I'm using Dreamweaver 8 on Vista 64, but am having a strange
problem - the saved login info (FTP username and password) are
deleted for whatever site definition happens to be selected at the
time I close Dreamweaver. I have to go to Manage Sites and edit the
site definition to add them again. This always seems to happen,
every time I close Dreamweaver.
Login info saved for site definitions that aren't the active
site at the time Dreamweaver is closed appear unaffected.
Also, I downloaded the
updater
for 8.0.2, but when I try to run it a message says that the wizard
was interrupted, and my system was not modified. What gives
there?> OK, thank you for the information.

The site has https address. I don't want ff to remember secure sites logins, but in this case the security is really unnecessary and annoying. I just want to force ff to remember this website login.
TNXhello, sites can define that the browser shouldn't save passwords in their source-code, see [[Usernames and passwords are not saved]].
you could use an addon like the following to circumvent such restrictions: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/remember-passwords -
HT202667 Unable to Update My apple ID - Not Saving My New Info
In "Manage My Apple ID", the web site is not saving my new email. I am attempting to change the primary ID to a new, valid Gmail and every time I click save it reverts back to the original Apple ID. This is very frustrating! Could anyone please help?
Im sorta having the same issue. I logged on to Icloud.com on my desktop. I was asked to update your apple ID with a verification code sent to my email. I checked the email and this is what it said.
Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud via a web browser.
Date and Time: March 13, 2015, 7:19 AM PDT
Browser: Chrome
Operating System: Windows
If the information above looks familiar, you can disregard this email.
If you have not signed in to iCloud recently and believe someone may have accessed your account, go to My Apple ID (https://appleid.apple.com) and change your password as soon as possible.
Apple Support
As you can see there is no code and i cannot access my Icloud account until i enter a verification code, i have requested three different times for a new code and i still have not received an email. -
Where FF saves/put cookies & sites-login info?
To understand why I'm making this ? you need to know the following:
# 1 I'm using a VAIO notebook that has no hdd, so I'm booting up from a Lucid Puppy 5.8 live cd;
# 2 have a 128MB CFCard with 2 versions of FF, a PET (not updated) & FF ver 3.6.13 that I recently downloaded & unzipped (because thought it was going to contain an updated ver od Flash - which is the one I'm using right now);
# 3 as you might already see, every time I start-up the system have to login to every site again & sometimes check for login-data for certain sites which I don't visit often.
I understand that if, before I shutdown the system, I save these data the next time I'll be taken faster to those sites without having to remember all the login data.
I'm interested in saving the cookies, a Master PWD & the individual pwds for the sites. Any other data that you know of & you point out that'll be needed for my purposes that I'm not aware of will be appreciated.
Thanks in advanced for any help on this!
PS. This OS runs from RAM (which is at 512MB).Thanks for a very useful list of links! Yes, with your help I made the necessary changes & it worked well enough.
There's a small detail that I, inadvertently, left out of the discussion, though: '''my changes when I use the Preferences button within the Edit menu item'''.
I searched through all the folders contained within my last version of FF & found a file that I suspect contains part of the info I need to make it persistent: "browserconfig.properties", located within the Firefox root/main folder. The changes I made there consists in replacing '2' web addrss instead of the Mozilla ones that come as default. Haven't tested it yet.
The other point within my Preferences is the text size I usually use, but I didn't find an editable file or not that could suggests in its name this purpose. So, for now, all I'm waiting for is to see if my implemented changes work out well. After that all that I need is to locate an appropriate file to edit or copy after performing my preference changes...
PS. If you know that I made a mistake by changing those addrss. or know the file/location of my 2nd issue & share that with me/us it would be very much appreciated. -
Dreamweaver keeps losing site login
Under Site > Manage sites > Edit > Remote Info in
Dreamweaver 8, Dreamweaver again and again loses both the login and
the password to the site. Each and every time I run Dreamweaver, I
have to enter both items again. Of course I've got "save password"
checked, but it still forgets both. It's not a big, big, big thing
but it is irritating.
Additionally (though it's not a problem) when I put files to
the site, I routinely get a spurious message "files have been
changed on the remote server since the last get or put operation.
Putting the file may overwrite changes that have been made." I
think both symptoms may be related to the fact that once or twice I
have run Dreamweaver from another computer across the network. So I
suspect I need some way to reset "something" so that Dreamweaver
learns that it is now only being used from just one single computer
- but that's only a guess.
Most grateful for any suggestions.

This is a known issue with DW8, there is an update that will
fix this,
it will make it DW8.0.2 and you can get it from Adobe.

The only thing I can think off is to just upload from the one
computer,
once you have it should be fine for each file...you just need
to do it
for each one.

I reinstalled Dreamweaver on a new laptop and it won't save
the log on and password info for sites. I've downloaded the 8.02
update, but can't figure out the workaround for not having the CDs.
When i try to run the setup, it recognizes that Dreamweaver is
installed and wants to repair and isn't giving me the option to
browse as it states in the instructions. Is there any other way I
can access the file needed for the workaround?> I had to install Dreamweaver on a new laptop and it
won't save log on and

WRT54GS Not saving port forwarding info.
I gave up on an older router, and had the wrt54gs sitting in my closet. I had to set it up for the PSN and COD4, but everytime I enter the port forwarding info, it says its saved, but erases it.
The info is:
TCP 80
TCP 443
TCP 5223
UDP 3478 - 3479
UDP 3658
All enabled on PS3s IP
Click SAVE SETTINGS
It opens a black window that says settings saved
I click OK
and everything has been erased.
Im on firmware 7.50.2.
Ive tried both firefox 3 and internet explorer. (ff3 error console gave me no errors)
DMZ is enabled for my PS3.
Ive tried both a wired and wireless connection.
I can use my PS3s browser (if that matters)
Any suggestions? You need to Upgrade the Firmware on your router...Download the Firmware from here , Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device: -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page.In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router and do the port forwarding and check if it saves the settings... -
IWeb not saving site / page content disappears
I have tried to create a website several times with my new Mac running leopard and ilife 08.
I am pretty familiar with iWeb but this has me confused. I create a site with several pages....then save it. Publish it to .mac and everything looks fine.
Then I close iWeb and when I open it later the pages are there, and in order, but there is no content on them at all...just a white screen. No theme is even selected.
My library/applications support/iweb folder does have a domain file but it is just called: Domain with no extension.
Anyone that can lead me in the right direction? ThanksHi all,
Just reading the topic at hand and I have exactly the same problem. Upload the website, its online but when I close and reopen iweb all the contents are gone from the pages!!!
However, I imported my old iweb domain from my old macbook pro and all the contents are there to be seen. Its only after I added more pages that the content on the new pages ONLY has disappeared.
A real pain in the neck cause I cant figure out why one batch of info (the old info) is in tact but the new stuff is missing!!
HELP APPLE PLEASE!!!

Actions not saving all printer info
I have a large poster printer and I have about 6 different size posters that I print regularly. Each poster size has a bunch of differnt print settings (which roll of paper to use, where to position the poster, size of the image..). It seems when I save a action of me printing a poster not ALL of this information is saved from the print settings.
How can I completely automate this? I want to be able to press a button labeled "print 36x36" and it will print the image at the right size using the right paper in the right location on the paper. Any ideas? Thanks everyone!Hi. Because the forum you originally posted in is for beginners trying to learn the basics of Photoshop, I'm moving your question to the Photoshop General Discussion forum.

Any way to override site request to not save login info?
I am the ultimate arbitrator of yes no questions. I don not care if your site requests that my browser not save my login info. I want it saved. If I can not
I do one of two things,
Not got back to the site ( if that is not practicable)
Find a browser that cares about what the USER wantsYes, unfortunately it is removed.
It seems that 10.9.2 even causes additional problems because I can neither enter my bank account's password with 1Password anymore nor with Keychain. My password is 22 signs long and is now written on a piece of paper.
Very nice improvement!
