Dreamweaver PHP Uploader Form

Hey all,
Ok here's something that I haven't done much of, I'm looking for a tutorial on creating a page that would allow the user to upload files such as pictures for instance, then I need a page to store those pictures, I know it can be done in DW with a bit of PHP knowledge, I'm ok there.....  Could some one be so kind as to direct me to such a tutorial?
Thanks in advance
Allen

Thanks David!....does the link you provided contain instructions to upload files to another HTML page as opposed to a server?
Thanks so much

  • Upload form problems on Mac web server with PHP

    First time using a mac web server and I'm having a heck of a time getting a simple upload form to work in this environment. The errors I'm receiving are:
    Warning: move_uploaded_file(/Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/content/mwm/) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Is a directory in /Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/umin/uploadContent.php on line 66
    Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/private/var/tmp/php1pRrx5' to '/Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/content/mwm/' in /Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/umin/uploadContent.php on line 66
    Usually this problem is resolved by changing permissions on the directory receiving the upload. I've already done that, and set the permissions to 777, though the problem still persists.
    I'm basically defining my upload directory, and then moving the file thereafter:
    define('UPLOAD_DIR', '/Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/content/'. $category . '/');
    move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploadedFile']['tmp_name'], UPLOAD_DIR);
    The rest of the script, without the move execution, works properly. Any help would be appreciated.

    BAH!
    I had forgotten to add the name of the file to the move command:
    Fix here:
    move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploadedFile']['tmp_name'], UPLOAD_DIR.$file);
    Thanks.

    I need to know how to apply the insert recorset server behavior in dreamweaver cs5 so I can get it to run.
    I have been trying diff ways and i just can't get it right.
    Please help! Thanks!!!

    I'm not sure how much you know but first you have to connect your form to the database
    $con = mysql_connect("hostname","admin_name","password");
    Then you have to choose the database you want information be added to.
    mysql_select_db("database name goes here", $con);
    Then you have to write an sql function which will write it in the appropiate columns in your database
    $sql="INSERT INTO what column e.g members (First name, Last name, age, etc)
    VALUES (the names of the textfields on your form), actually double check that part
    ('$_POST[firstname]','$_POST[lastname]','$_POST[age]')";
    $result = mysql_query($sql);
    This is the first and most basic part just to give you an idea how it works.
    Within these snippets you will have to write much more which will beef up the security aswell as check if everything has been entered correctly etc

  • Upload Form - Uploading to a specific directory.

    Ive set up an upload form to upload to a directory, but I
    need to be able to pick the directory that I want the file to go
    into. Is this even possible without having to buy some developer
    kit? Im using DW CS3 and ColdFusion.

    Although you don't realize it, this is worded more clearly. I
    can't tell
    you the code for it because I don't do ColdFusion, but the
    answer to
    your problem is quite simple. Create a select drop-down menu
    in your
    form, and use the value submitted as the upload directory.
    <select name="uploadDir">
    <option value="images">Images</option>
    <option value="docs">Documents</option>
    <option value="pdf">PDF Files</option>

    If you upload the images to the same directory you can insert
    the name
    of the image into the database and use the same path for all
    images.
    Sorry, I'm really not understanding you here at all, I'm just

    You could set the name to the value of the ID column in your
    database.

    Hi,
    I would look for a existing script like this:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeseat/
    and implement it in your site, because it takes years of experience to develop something like that.
    These are only a examples I don't know the scripts, but you can look at Github and do a search:

  • Tutorials for creating php mail forms?

    Hi,
    Are there any free on line tutorials available for building a
    php mail form which I can put into my web site, which also include
    info on how to hook the form into the php server for processing?
    Possibly including Captcha?
    Lynda.com has a good one for Dreamweaver 4, but they don't
    cover tying the form into the php engine or captcha.
    I'd rather build my own rather than buying a script and want
    to learn, and I am still new to php.

    Why not just take an existing script and modify it?

  • Can anyone help with my PHP contact form please!

    Hi all,
    I've just implemented the email contact form as described in the PHP Solutions book by David Powers and it is working fine.
    What I'm having problems with is my form is at the bottom of a long page and you have to scroll or click a link to get to it, which means that when the submit button is pressed, whether the form is successfully submitted or a field hasn't been completed, the user ends up back at the top of the page having to scroll back down to the form before they can see the feedback (either thanking them for submitting or pointing out that they have tried to submit an incomplete form).
    Can anyone tell me how I can make the page redirect upon clicking submit so that the user returns to the part of the page where the form is so they can see the feedback instead of going to the top of the page where the form is out of view.
    Many thanks,
    Karl.

    I've attached the entire code from the page plus the css so you can see what's going on and in additiion I've put in the corefuncs.php include code.
    Hope that's enough, thanks for looking.
    Cheers,
    Karl.

    > I made a PHP email form and i was wondering if i did it
    correct. I try to send
    >a email but for some reason it wont work here is the PHP
    code:
    Next time please be more specific. "won't work" isn't really
    helpful.
    Anyway, the first thing to fix is the error reporting on your
    testing
    server, obviously it's not configured properly. In your
    php.ini these
    directives have to be set:
    error_reporting = E_ALL|E_STRICT
    display_errors = on
    You should get some notices from your script. After fixing
    those issues,
    you should also read about header injection and how to
    prevent it. Your
    script is vulnerable and can be abused for sending spam. Also
    consider
    to use a class like PHPMailer to make things more secure and
    convenient.
    Some further notes about your form markup:
    * It's very good that you make use of labels for your form
    controls, but
    in some cases the IDs of these controls contain spaces, which
    is not
    allowed.
    * You don't really need a label for a submit button.
    * Consider to drop all those div elements in the table
    headers - you
    don't need them. Use CSS to style the labels the way you
    want, e.g.
    form th {text-align: right}
    I also use this:
    label:hover {outline: 1px dotted #666}
    * Check the markup of the "Name" row. The 'scope' attribute
    is incorrect
    and the form control should be inside a 'td', not a 'th'.

  • PHP email form checkbox values?

    Hello,
    I'm creating a php email form which part of it consists of a few checkboxes that I need to get the values of. My php knowledge isn't that great therefore I used a tutorial to successfully create the bulk of the form.
    I currently have 7 checkboxes set up as such:
    <input type="checkbox" id="grade_5" name="grade[]" value="Grade 5" />
    Each of these are named "grade[]" to be stored in an array called "grade".
    I know that the values are successfully stored in the array as they show up in the browser when I echo the array.
    $grade = $_POST['grade'];
    $N = count($grade);
    for($i=0; $i < $N; $i++) {
         echo($grade[$i] . " ");
    So, the part I am having trouble with is getting the values to show up in the body of the email.
    $body = "
    Grade Level(s): $grade
    All that is returned in this case is the word "Array" instead of the desired checked grade values.
    Any help is much appreciated! Thank you in advance!
    *Note: All other values (textboxes, selection dropdowns, etc.) are already successfully sent to the email.

    danedmonds wrote:

    That's because $grade is an array. If you want to access the values, you need to use a loop. Alternatively, use implode() to turn it into a comma-separated string, like this:
    $grade = implode(', ', $grade);

  • Adobe Uploading form error unknown file forma

    Hello,
    I am working on adobe form. I want to upload an form from another system using tranaction SFP and process
    menu 'UTILITIES UPLOADING FORM OBJECT'.
    I download the form from a environnement ECC6 in XML FILE. (by process downloading SFP transaction)
    I upload the same form for another system ECC6 with using this same XML file (by process uploadind form SFP transaction)
    But in the process of uploading from this XML file, I get this error
    "*Error occurred when uploading file (unknown file format)" message number FPUIFB068
    Does any body know why I get this error ?
    I don't find any OSS note about it.
    Best regards
    Christine

    Hello,
    I have no solution regarding your problem, but has an experience with a "dirty" way. If I needed to "copy" or "move" the form from one system to another, I just generated the form in the first system (got PDF file), opened this form outside SAP (in LCD launched from windows installation folder), copied the content of the form to clipboard, opened the blank for in SAP, paste the content there, do some minor changes and save/ activate/ run.
    For me it worked ok, even if the form was complex.
    If anybody else can provide the "proper" / "clean" solution, I would like to hear that as well.

  • SmartForms002 Error when activating uploaded form

    When I create a smartform with an address element in our pre-dev env, download it and then upload it into our Dev environments, it syntax checks fine but I get a SmartForms002 Error ... Internal Error (Illegal structure of data storage).   It is fine in our pre-dev environment.  I have figured out it only happens when I have an address element and it happens even when downloading/uploading forms within the same env.  We are running SAP ECC 5.0, Basis Support Pack 13.  I have included the steps below to re-create this problem.  Does anyone have any ideas?
    - enter transaction smartforms
    - type zqmjunk55 as smartform name and click on the create button
    - click on Page 1, Right Click, select create and address
    - put 60000353 in as the address #, click save and local object, activate form
    - click on page 1, right click, select create and Page
    - Expand Page 1, right click on main window, select copy
    - click on Page 2, right click and select paste
    - activate form
    - click on utilites, download form and save form on C:\ drive
    - click back arrow to go back to initial smartforms screen
    - type zqmjunk5 as smartform name and click on utilities, upload form, click green check mark on create form prompt
    - select zqmjunk55.xml file you had previously downloaded and click on open, click on local object
    - click on change button and then activate form -- error occurs here

    Syntax Check and activation of the original form that I downloaded (zqmjunk55) was totally fine.
    Syntax Check of uploaded form (zqmjunk5) was fine, just got error on activation.
    Address # "60000353" is also fine ... in other examples i have tried i do pass it as a variable and both cause the same problem.
    Form interface, import and export parameters etc. are all identical in both forms zqmjunk55 which works and zqmjunk5 which does not.
    If I delete the address window in zqmjunk5 and then re-create it then it works just fine.  In real life though in my real smartform (not the example one) this would not be realistic to do as we would need to re-build our addresses everytime there is a change to the form and we need to move it through our environments.
    It seems to me that there is a problem with the download/upload utility.  I have previously logged a call with SAP, but so far they have been no help so I thought I would try here just in case anyone else has had the same problem.

  • Link to the uploaded document in RichTextHtmlField is not generated if custom document upload form is used

    I have a RichTextHtmlField in a page. The user who is entering data need to upload the document for reference. I want to change the selected option of Destination Library in the form. To do so, I have copied entire content of
    Upload.aspx page and created a custom action to launch the custom upload form. When I click on the custom action button I am getting the exact ouput which I want but after the upload operation completes I am not getting the link generated in the
    field area, as SharePoint OOTB upload form does.
    My custom action contains following code:
    <CustomAction Id="Ribbon.PublishTab.Publishing.Actions.UploadDocumentButton" Location="CommandUI.Ribbon">
    <CommandUIExtension>
    <CommandUIDefinitions>
    <CommandUIDefinition Location="Ribbon.EditingTools.CPInsert.Links.Controls._children" >
    <Button Id="Ribbon.PublishTab.Publishing.UploadDocumentButton1" Command="UploadDocumentButton1"

    Image32by32="/_layouts/15/Solution/Images/Approval_32_by_32.jpg"
    LabelText="Upload File" TemplateAlias="o1" Sequence="1000" />
    </CommandUIDefinition>
    </CommandUIDefinitions>
    <CommandUIHandlers>
    <CommandUIHandler Command="UploadDocumentButton1" CommandAction="javascript:function test(){
    var url = _spPageContextInfo.webAbsoluteUrl + '/_layouts/15/DiscussionBoardEventReceiver/Pages/UploadFile.aspx?UseDivDialog=true&amp;LCID=1033&amp;Source=' + _spPageContextInfo.serverRequestPath +'&amp;AssetPageFolder=true&amp;seed=0.10343389471709208';
    var options = {url: url};
    SP.UI.ModalDialog.showModalDialog(options);
    } test();">
    </CommandUIHandler>
    </CommandUIHandlers>
    </CommandUIExtension>
    </CustomAction>
    The page UploadFile.aspx the exact code which is found in Upload.aspx in
    \_layouts folder.
    The file is uploaded successfully but the link is not getting generated. What am I missing?

    Hi,
    According to your description, you might want to upload a file to a library and insert the corresponding hyperlink into the RichTextHtmlField when editing a page.
    Based on the code above, a modal dialog holds the custom “UploadFile.aspx” will be responsible for the file uploading, however, as there seems no code in the callback
    function of the modal dialog to handle the operations after file uploaded, though file will be uploaded, there will be no hyperlink get generated and inserted into the page.
    A demo about how to work with callback function of modal dialog:
    https://alinimer.wordpress.com/2013/02/25/open-pages-and-forms-in-modal-dialog-for-sharepoint-2013/
    As we can see, if using the OOTB feature to insert a file into the page, the corresponding HTML structure would be like this:
    Thus, a possible workaround is that you can write code in the callback function to capture the dialog closing event and inject a hyperlink into the page accordingly.
    About how to inject HTML into page:

  • Problem with 'Reply-To' on PHP contact form...

    Hi guys,
    I've created a PHP contact form which works perfectly; except, when I receive the email to my inbox and go to reply to it, it doesn't reply to the email address of the person who submitted the form - in the reply field it appears to have the default server email address.
    Here's my code which I have included in the same PHP page as my form:
    <?php
    if (array_key_exists('submit', $_POST)) {
        $name = $_POST['name'];
        $email = $_POST['email'];
        $formMessage = $_POST['message'];
    if (empty($name)) {
    $warning['name'] = "Please provide your name";
    if (empty($email)) {
    $warning['email'] = "Please provide your email address";
    if (empty($formMessage)) {
    $warning['message'] = "Please type your message";
    $headers .= "Reply-To: " . $_POST["email"] . "\r\n";
    $to = "[email protected]";
    $subject = "Enquiry from website";

    Can anyone see from my code why this would be happening?
    Thank you very much and hope to hear from you!

    Sorted!
    I removed...
    $headers .= "Reply-To: " . $_POST["email"] . "\r\n";
    ...and added...
    $headers  = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";
    $headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n";
    $headers .= "Reply-To: " . $_POST["email"] . "\r\n";
