Last night when i tried to sign a document i received the mesage below and after that it says this document can't be signed what can i do to fix this problem.
Error encountered while signing:
The Windows Cryptographic Service Provider reported an error:
Access was denied because of a security violation.
Error Code: 2148532330I assume you are implying "biztax" application here, right?
I have contacted their program lead, with no result at all.
Past days I have been searching for a solution - reinstalls / new systems - no solution.
This issue appeared a week or two ago only.
I found http://forums.adobe.com/message/5338853 useful - but no positive results either.
http://test.eid.belgium.be/faq/faq_nl.htm obviously didnt help either.
If anyone finds a solution to this issue, please do let me know - any help is appreciated.
Biztax tells to use the "signature", not the "authentication" - but it is only Auth. that is showing up as option to sign (that works)
ps, did you fiddle with the Adobe Reader XI security settings and import that PKI etc as well? I hoped that would be the breaktrough. Sadly i'm still crying in my chair.
Oh, and dont forget: they claim nobody else got this issue. Maybe one or two people. (We got about 8 customers experiencing exactly the same symptoms at the same time )
> I noticed that when I try to open the pdf document that is 'signed' by the government it is not showing the filename in the title bar, but only " - Adobe Reader". every piece of info helps I guess.
Obviously last version of Reader 11.0.03 -
Mifi 2200 - Error 691: Connection Failed - Access was denied ...
I have set up a Mifi 2200. It CAN work great. Intermittently though, I can't get connected wheen using the device as a USB modem. It will ALWAYS connect fine when I connect through Wifi.
The error I get: Mifi 2200 - Error 691: Connection Failed - Access was denied because the username and/or password was invalid in the domain.
I have done all the usual things:
1. Reinstalled the VZAccess Manager software including latest update. I am at 7.3.13.1 (2635a)
2. Obtained all latest Windows updates (XP SP2).
3. Removed, replaced, manually, auto-configured a Dial Up Connection many times.
4. Replaced the USB to microUSB cable.
I found the VZAccess Managers diagnostic tool where you press CTRL-D and enter the password diagvzw and see some additional settings.
There I had a minor break through. There is a setting where I can force the modem to only use 1X. If I do that, I connect every time without fail. No problems, no errors. The moment I put that setting back to Auto or forced EVDO, I fail again, or only work every 20th try or so after a reboot of the device etc.
Is anyone else seeing this, or getting this error? It can't be an account issue since it works sometimes on EVDO and ALWAYS fine on 1X.
Thanks for any help or ideas.
PNI think I have an update that might be a clue that it IS an Verizon issue either with the device itself or at the towers.
I have determined that when I connect to it through WiFi where I mentioned it seems to ALWAYS work. Well, it always works in 1X mode there. It fails in EVDO mode.
Something up at the towers? Although multiple towers have been tried.
Anyone any ideas? -

"Access was denied" trying to refresh Excel Services report data
Project Server 2010
In an Excel Services report, using a sample ODC file I've changed only trivially, during Data / Refresh All Connections:
Access was denied by the external data source. The following connections failed to refresh:
The short...
I've narrowed it down to the Data Refresh attempting to login with the
User ID of the connection string in the ODC file instead of the
credentials of the TargetApplication specified as the SSS ID. SQL
Server logs confirm this.
Why does Excel Services refuse to use the TargetApplication
credentials and continuously attempt to use the User ID in the
connection string (but only for ODC's that have been slightly modified - see below)?
The long...
Excel Services, Secure Store, the Target
Application:"ProjectServerApplication", Trusted File Locations, Trusted
Data Connection Libraries, a db_datareader Database user, and
Credentials for the Target Application have all been setup
and configured.
Accessing the Sample report "SimpleProjectsList" is successful.
Adding a project, then "Data / Refresh All Connections" works and shows
the new project.
To verify; changed the credentials on the TargetApplication
"ProjectServerApplication" to something invalid, iisreset, Data /
Refresh All Connections, correctly failed.
Set credentials correct and everything works fine again.
So that report is definitely using the TargetApplication, and the TargetApplication is definitely set with proper credentials.
Now the issue:
Creating any ODC file from scratch causes "Access was denied..". Exporting the SimpleProjectsList ODC, making no changes,
uploading it, creating a report based on it - Access was denied.
Editing the SimpleProjectsList
Excel file and removing a single space in the SQL to cause the ODC to
get detached. Save As different report, open new report, refresh data -
Access was denied.
When looking at the SQL logs, with each "Access was denied" was a "Login failed for user 'joeblow'. ..."
'joeblow' is the SQL Server user configured in the data connection string for User ID that is for use directly in Excel - NOT the TargetApplication.
I can reproduce the exact same scenario using an unattended service account.
Why does Excel Services refuse to use the TargetApplication credentials?
Thanks-
MikeHi Mike,
I think this issue shouldn't be related to SharePoint running in Azure, could you please check the SharePoint ULS log (may enable Verbose level log) if there are more detailed errors for helping to solve this issue?
Meanwhile please also check if the data connection file is setup correctly per the following article.

The Deploy Software Updates Wizard completed with errors - Access is Denied
Hello, I am trying to download some updates that were synced up to the SCCM's database from another WSUS server. I am not able to get it done because the wizard fails with the access is denied error. I checked patchdownloader.log file and saw Error code
= 5 which means access denied. I tried to change permissions on the "updateservicespackages" folder within the folder, and I have full NTFS permissions for system, administrators, and read only permissions for everyone. Same thing goes for
the share permissions. My account is in the administrators group. The only way I can get it to work is by granting full permissions to "everyone", but that cannot be security friendly. Which account is "Deploy Software Updates Wizard" using
so that I can properly give it the required rights?Hi,
You could have a look at the thread below. Lucas used ProcMon that shows an access denied with the user which he was using. Permission via group wasn't enough. Give your user full share/security access and everything works fine.

i have spent two days trying to fix this, including:
- reset the reporting service AD account
- create a new reporting service AD account
- change report server to "local system" instead of AD account
- reinstall the reporting role several times
- reinstall the entire SQL reporting server service
- delete the reporting db and all related objects on the filesystem
- modify permissions of reporting service user (full admin on OS and SQL level, as well as in reporting server roles)
- install a new vm with SQL server reporting services (the error does not happen on this new machine)
at the moment, sccm is creating a new "CM_MED.OLD.xxx" folder in reporting server every minute in a loop.
how can i solve this?
Environment is Server 2012R2, sccm 2012r2 cu2, SQL 2012 sp2.this is what i see in reportserver logs:

Our Application needs to have the use of the [Named Pipes] and [TCP/IP] Protocols. To save our Users the hassle of having to enable them manually our application has always done it for them and then stopped and restarted SQL Server. However
since the advent of Vista and Windows 7, the restart stopped working. We solved the problem by detecting the failure to re-start and giving Users sufficient instructions for them to do it themselves. Since this only occurs during installation on
the Server, this approach has not been too much of a hassle. However we would like to tidy this up if possible. This the VBA code that is causing the problem:
obj_SQLServerInstance2.Start _
g_SQL_UseWindowsAuthentication, _
SQLServerInstance, _
UserName, _
Password
This still works when run under XP, but fails under Windows 7 with the Error:
[SQL-DMO]Service Control Error: Access is denied.
Does anyone know how to resolve the problem?This still works when run under XP, but fails under Windows 7 with the Error:
[SQL-DMO]Service Control Error: Access is denied.
Hello Brian,
Under Windows 7 you have to run the VBA script with admin permission, a normal user don't have permissions to start/stop services.

Hi,
I am new to using EWS managed APIs.
Following is the issue:
1. I am using a service account e.g. [email protected]. This user is a global administrator and also has ApplicationImpersonation role assigned. (Sign into Online Office 365 account -> Admin -> select "Exchange" tab- > select Permissions
on the left panel -> create an impersonation role -> assign ApplicationImpersonation in Roles: and [email protected] in Members: -> Click on save)
2. Create a calendar item by other user for e.g. [email protected], and invite an attendee - [email protected].
3. In a c# program, I connect to EWS service using a service account - [email protected], fetch its calendar events. If organizer of an event is some other user - [email protected] then
I use impersonation in the following way to update the calendar event/item properties- subject, body text etc.
private static void Impersonate(string organizer)
string impersonatedUserSMTPAddress = organizer;
ImpersonatedUserId impersonatedUserId =
new ImpersonatedUserId(ConnectingIdType.SmtpAddress, impersonatedUserSMTPAddress);
service.ImpersonatedUserId = impersonatedUserId;
4. It was working fine till yesterday afternoon. Suddenly, it started throwing an exception "Access is denied. Check credentials and try again." Whenever I try to
update that event.
private static void FindAndUpdate(ExchangeService service)
CalendarView cv = new CalendarView(DateTime.Now, DateTime.Now.AddDays(30));
cv.MaxItemsReturned = 25;
try
FindItemsResults<Item> masterResults = service.FindItems(WellKnownFolderName.Calendar, cv);
foreach (Appointment item in masterResults.Items)
if (item is Appointment)
Appointment masterItem = item as Appointment;
if (!masterRecurEventIDs.Contains(masterItem.ICalUid.ToString()))
masterItem.Load();
if (!masterItem.Subject.Contains(" (Updated content)"))
//impersonate organizer to update and save for further use
Impersonate(masterItem.Organizer.Address.ToString());
// Update the subject and body
masterItem.Subject = masterItem.Subject + " (Updated content)";
string currentBodyType = masterItem.Body.BodyType.ToString();
masterItem.Body = masterItem.Body.Text + "\nUpdated Body Info:
xxxxxxxxxxxx";
// This results in an UpdateItem operation call to EWS.
masterItem.Update(ConflictResolutionMode.AutoResolve);
// Send updated notification to organizer of an appointment
CreateAndSendEmail(masterItem.Organizer.Address.ToString(), masterItem.Subject);
masterRecurEventIDs.Add(masterItem.ICalUid.ToString());
else
Console.WriteLine("Event is already updated. No need to update again.:\r\n");
Console.WriteLine("Subject: " + masterItem.Subject);
Console.WriteLine("Description: " + masterItem.Body.Text);
catch (Exception ex)
Console.WriteLine("Error: " + ex.Message);
5. What could be an issue here? Initially I thought may be its a throttling policy which is stopping same user after making certain API call limits for the day, but I am still seeing this issue today.
Any help is appreciated.
ThanksYour logic doesn't sound correct here eg
2. Create a calendar item by other user for e.g. [email protected], and invite an attendee - [email protected]
3. In a c# program, I connect to EWS service using a service account - [email protected], fetch its calendar events. If organizer of an event is some other user - [email protected] then
I use impersonation in the following way to update the calendar event/item properties- subject, body text etc.
When your connecting to [email protected] mailbox the only user that can make changes to items within
abccalendar is abc (or ABC's delegates). If your impersonating the Organizer of the appointment pqr that wouldn't work unless the organizer had rights to abc's calendar. If you want to make updates to a calendar
appointment like that you should connect to the Organizers mailbox first update the original, send updates and then accept the updates.
When you impersonate your impersonating the security context of the Mailbox your impersonating so its the same a logging on as that user in OWA or Outlook.
Cheers

Group Policy client Service Error - Access is denied
I am
at domain admin working on windows 7 roaming profiles, testing with a
staff user. I am in a domain environment. I have changed the
profile path for a user to the folder I created for new windows 7 roaming
profiles. gave it all the permissions noted here and followed these steps
at Microsoft's deploying roaming profiles page for win 7.<o:p></o:p>
once I logged in the user,
it created their profile.v2 but I still couldn't access it. getting
access denied. so I went back and changed the staff roaming profile back
to the original profile path. didn't make any group policy changes.
but now she gets group policy client service failed to logon. access is
denied. I have deleted the .v2 profile that win 7 creates in her old
profile path, moved her profile path back to what is was before testing,
retested her xp profile which does work and she can login and work.
but the win 7 machines no matter where she logs in, will not work. they
all give the same error about group policy client service failed. no
other users are having this problemHi,
Regarding the issue here, have you checked the below thread?
Group
Policy Client Service Failed the logon - Access Denied: Windows 7 Ultimate/Server 2008 R2
Please take a try with the steps mentioned by Nina Liu.
QUOTE here:
At this time, let’s refer to the following steps for troubleshooting:
1. Open registry editor on the problematic Windows 7 machine (please log in as domain admin)
2. Highlight HKEY_USERS, choose File -> Load Hive, browse to the location of one failing roaming profile and open NTUSER.DAT file, click open
3. Under Key Name, enter any name you like, but remember what you have entered, such as enter "test"
4. Expand, HKEY_USERS, you should see new registry hive called "test" or any name you entered earlier
5. Right click on that "test" hive and choose permissions. Confirm that the following users have permissions:
- Administrators: Full Control
- SYSTEM: Full Control
- User (or group) that owns this profile: Full Control
6. If the permissions were wrong, correct them, then click on Advanced tab, on Advanced tab and enable "Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries
shown here that apply to child objects" and click Apply.
7. Highlight "test" registry hive, then click on File -> Unload Hive to release handle on NTUSER.DAT file.
8. Log off and log on with the failing roaming profile you have just modified.
Any process, please feel free to contact us.
Best regards

Windows 2012 Standard File Server Clustering SMB Share Error: Access is denied.
Hi All,
My setup consist of 2 nodes clustered with File Server role. I can successfully failover role to either node with no issues. But if I try to modify the permissions of any file share on my file server cluster I get the following error: Error
Occurred while updating an SMB share: Access is denied. Access is denied.
Now I played around with the permissions on these shares and noticed that when I add the "everyone" group to these shares with change permissions I can successfully modify the shares with no errors. If I removed the "everyone" group
I get the error. So to tell its like some service or account needs permission to these shares to be able to modify them. I don't want to keep "everyone" group on these shares. Can anyone please shed some light on what group, user,
or service account needs permissions on these shared in order for me to modify these SMB shares without getting Access is denied. ThanksHi,
It seems your account don’t have the enough right to modify this clustered folder permission.

Hi all,
I've been struggling figuring out what permission I need to make this restore work. I've successfully restored site collection on the same web app with the following restore command from the same DAT file before.
stsadm -o restore -url

2. Made myself owner on the related dbs
3. I'm part of the local admin group on the server running CA and DB.
I know I may have given too much privilege - but I'm sick of seeing this access denied error. As far as I'm concerned permission-wise nothing has been changed from my last successful restore except the fact that I'm overwriting the site collection this time.
I also tried with a fresh DAT file to restore with no luck.
If someone can give me some other thoughts I would very much appreciate that.
Many thanks in advance -

Hello,
I am getting the below error messages when I render a TIFF image sequence using default settings. I have double-checked and I have read-write privileges for the file destination. I have also emptied the Disk Cache and Cleaned the Database. My system set-up is also below - there was no error log. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated as this keeps happening.
My Computer
Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1, 64-bit
Intel Xeon CPU E5-2697 v2 @ 2.7 GHz
64 GB RAM
After Effects
2014.2
Render Settings
After Effects Multiprocessing ON (I tried it with and without)
Disk Cache Enabled
Default TIFF Sequence with Alpha Output ModuleGoogle Drive? Directly rendering to a synced folder? This cannot work.

Saving error: there was a problem reading this document (114)
We scan in documents using PaperPort at the scan station and save them as PDF. If the document needs to have search capability we do an OCR scan on the document using Acrobat Professional 8 and save it. Today I received an error when trying to save. The reason is in the header ..
There was a problem reading this document. (114)
We have used this technique for a few years so it is not new. The scanner is Fujitsu. The documents will open in Reader and can be saved from Reader but not from Acrobat 8 Professional. I tried to open one of the copies saved from Reader, (Reader 7), and save that one but it too was not able to save. Same error. Running Windows XP, Sp3, all updates installed. Acrobat Pro 8, 8.1.3. I have scanned a couple of test documents, they too fail to save although they display just fine when opened in Acrobat 8.
Ideas?
vorblesnakWhat I found was none of the affected files had any Metadata associated with them. Although the images were fine, and would function normally the lack of the metadata stopped Acrobat 8 from doing anything but opening the file. I think that metadata is put on by the application that creates the PDF. In review I found the scan station had probably not been restarted in 3 to 4 months. I rebooted the scan station and ran another test batch and this one was saved with metadata and processed normally through Acrobat 8.
However, I had two files, one of 40 pages and one of 387 pages that needed OCR scanning. I resaved the small file as a tiff and then gathered those images into a PDF using Acrobat 8. Of course page 10 was right after page 1 and I had to clean up the page order. I was not looking forward to doing this with a 387 page document. So I found an older scanned document that had processed normally and I saved the metadata from that document. I then appended that metadata to the problem document and problem solved. I was able to OCR the document and save it as normal.
I suspect the (114) code references the lack of complete data in the file header.
Good luck if you have the fortune to visit this problem.
