Dreamweaver stopped working. XML parsing fatal error: Invalid document structure, line1 Tried reloading DW. Didn't work.

Dreamweaver (CS5) stopped working. The error message says - XML parsing fatal error: Invalid document structure, line: 1, I tried to reload DW. No change. I also tried to reset the computer to an earlier date before I reloaded. Also didn't work. Can anybody shed some light?

The first thing to try is Deleting Corrupted Cache. Be sure to turn on Hidden Files & Folders in your file manager (Win Explorer or Mac Finder).

Deleting a corrupted cache file

Dreamweaver cs5 : cant launch it suddenly due to XML parsing fatal error. WHY ?

find any file named WORKSPACE

before I noted your comments,I uninstalled it already.

XML parsing fatal error: Invalid document structure, line: 1, file: C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\Classic.xml
I have gone through older disscussion forums and have followed the steps recommended by deleting the corrupted .xml file itself (in this case "Classic.xml") but imidiatly after when i try to open Dreamweaver again, i am prompted with the same fatal error message including the file that i have just deleted. Next i deleted the entire configure file and this did not help either.
It is also odd that when i follow the path to find the corrupted .xml file from the prompt, the path is different in that i do not find the "Classic.xml" file through th "en_US\Configuration\Weorkspace" navigation, however i do find the corrupt "Classic.xml" file in the "configure" folder of the "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5" file.
Im not sure what to do now and i would really like Dreamweaver back up and running so please help if you can!!!

Step 1: Close DW, Navigate to C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\ and delete that Classic.xml file
Re-open DW. DW should auto-create your Workspace layout XML file again. See if it works fine.
PROCEED TO STEP 2 ONLY IF STEP 1 DOESN'T SOLVE THE ISSUE
Step 2: Navigate to C:\Users\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en-US\Configuration and delete the entire 'CONFIGURATION' folder. Re-open DW. DW should auto-create your configuration folder based on predefined layouts and config options. This will definitely fix your issue.
Reason for this issue: This issue would have been caused due to a malformed workspace layout configuration. That may happen due to customizations you may have done to the layout/ improper file permissions/ improper shutdown on Windows.
See if these fixes resolve your issue and post your results here.

You need to rename the Configuration folder to Configuration_BU.

XML-32009: (Fatal Error) Failed to parse the input schema.

I am attempting to generate the Java classes for the attached XLM schema (JMdict_e.xsd) using the following command:
oracle.xml.jaxb.orajaxb -schema JMdict_e.xsd -targetPkg generated
which results in the error "XML-32009: (Fatal Error) Failed to parse the input schema."
I created the schema from a DTD file (http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/jmdict_dtd_h.html) following the instructions in the example http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28394/adx_j_sproc.htm#CIHICCJB
I am using version xdk_nt_10_1_0_2_0_production.

@Bhaskar (and @user11922800): You have to update the db10g/xdk to a version at least of 10.1.0.4. There were major bug fixes including XML-32009 error (bug number 3375952).

I've even tried the op's listing with my more to-date xdk without encountering any problem and it is compiled just fine.
ps: I am sure that was the hasty typo in dvohra16 post. The namespace in the op (/2001/) is correct. Encoding is still capable of resulting in some problems (I've had encounted if I recall), but that is not the problem for the issue raised in this thread.

Before I got this error, I manually de-install / install Oracle Spatial and followed metalink Note 179472.1 and 220481.1.
The reason why I did these is when I run some spation function, always got error message like: ORA-06553:PLS-907: cannot load library unit MSDYS.SDO-3GL (referenced by MDSYS.SDO-FILTER)
I checked that Spatial is invalid.
I've struggled with this error for one day. My application is a ADF Faces combine with MapViewer application, and I deployed it to my standalone OC4J (workstation). It works fine.
Unfortunatelly, I can not deploy app to OracleAS(RHEL 4.0 server). so I copied the .ear file to server, and deploy it via IAS console.
There is no error for deployment, but when I run the application. The page no response at all(like blocked). I checked the log files under $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs and the error is : <Line1, Column1>:XML-20108: (Fatal Error) Start of root element expected.

Essbase Fatal Error: Invalid record in security file

Hi,
I'm newbie in Essbase, and I'm supporting Hyperion 7 for an pharmaceutical company.
I have a serious problem with the Essbase services when I tried to start them.
This message appears:
Fatal Error: Invalid record in security file [16]
I restarted the server but it's still doesn't work.
I'll appreciate so much your quickly help.

Some things you can try:
1) Check to see if there is an Essbase.bak file in the Essbase\bin foler. If so, copy it to another name.
2) Stop Essbase.
3) Rename Essbase.sec to Essbase.sec.bad
4) Rename Essbase.bak and start Essbase back up. You may have dodged a bullet.
5) If #3 and #4 don't work for you, your best bet is to restore from tape.

I got the above error before calling to human task from my BPEL process. Any idea?

Assuming this is SOA Suite 11g. Did you start the WLS with UTF8? Is your database using UTF8?
Nothing else is supported.
If you are on unix.
$ export LANG="en_US.utf8"
$ export LC_ALL="en_US.utf8"
Then locale should display something like this
$ locale
LANG=en_US.utf8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.utf8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.utf8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.utf8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.utf8"
LC_TIME="en_US.utf8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.utf8"
LC_ALL=en_US.utf8
And then you should be able to start the SOA Suite correctly.

I am using SAX parser in a java code , which compiles and parses an xml correctly in the local JVM.
But the same code in OC4J(10g) - version 9.0.4.2 throws the following exception when traced the error stack.

Though I have imported the following JDK parsers in the code , the Oracle's SAX parser is taking other inside the application server and throwing the above error for an xml , which is absolutely alright.

Please let me know why this happens? Is it a known bug in the OC4J 9.0.4.2?

If you have used the SAXParserFactory.newSAXParser() method to get a parser, the documentation for this method says "Creates a new instance of a SAXParser using the currently configured factory parameters.".
So you might get a different parser in a different environment.
