3. Right-click the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter, and click Disable.

Sounds like an Acrobat question since the error only occured when updating Acrobat, but regardless, what is the Microsoft Virtual WiFi adapter that you have and is it running? It could be a conflict with the adapter with another adapter (software related). Being that the package for the Virtual adpater is part of the MSDN Developer Platform, you might want to cross post this in the MSDN forum as developers on that level will have more of an understanding of why development software would conflict with production software. -

Firefox won't open in Windows 8.1 after latest update failed to install
Latest update for firefox failed to install.
Now, when I try to open firefox, I get the hourglass circle and then....Nothing. Check the processes and it is showing as a background process, but not doing anything. No error message, no crash alert.
So, I uninstalled firefox. Download the installer. Open the installer and...nothing. Again the process is there but nothing is happening.
Tried killing all processes and rebooting and trying the re-install. Still nothing.
The only thing I haven't checked is Nortons Firewall but I thought I might as well ask while I am at work if there is anything else I should check.
Was working fine until this update failed. On Win8.1I would try restoring preferences: Restore preferences | Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, CS5.5
If that doesn't work, a Clean and Reinstall might do it...

Why does Adobe Prelude 2.01 update FAIL?

OK, Uninstall and Reinstall> FAIL installs 2.0 back to same problem
OK, Start a discusion on Adobe> .......I cannot tell you why it failed. I had a problem in not being able to install an upgrade to Dreamweaver. I had to uninstall Dreamweaver then update.
If you want to investigate the cuase then you need to do as Mylenium asks. -

The website states that extend script toolkit 3.5.1 comes with CS6 and links to the CS6 website.
I do not want to install CS6 because I don't have a license for it. -
Dreamweaver Installation Failing

Premiere Pro CC update fails repeatedly. Why?
I've had a notification for days in my Creative Cloud application that there's an update to Premiere Pro (7.2.2), yet every time I try to download it, the update reaches 50-58% and then fails. Why? Is there a fix?
Same thing happens with the Dreamweaver update, too. I've tried restarting both the application and my computer and neither are helping.

Dreamweaver Update CS6 12.0 to 12.3
Hi, I'm trying to update Dreamweaver cs6 12.0 to 12.3.
Downloaded and run the update file from Adobe.
The progress bar just flows quite quick and no update is performed.
Any ideas please would be fantastic, thank you.If you're still having problems with getting Dreamweaver CS6 to update, I'm afraid that you will probably have to go through the following steps:
1. Take a back-up of your user configuration folders for Dreamweaver CS6 as well as Dreamweaver CC.
2. Uninstall Dreamweaver CS6
3. Uninstall Dreamweaver CC
4. Reboot your machine
5. Quit Adobe Creative Cloud (ACC) desktop app (if already running)
6. Launch ACC and install Dreamweaver CS6
7. Quit and re-launch ACC (for the updates for CS6 to show up)
8. Try to update Dreamweaver CS6
9. Install Dreamweaver CC from ACC
10. Quit and re-launch ACC (for the updates for CC to show up)
11. Try to update Dreamweaver CC
After updating, Dreamweaver CS6 should be version 12.2, not 12.3.
The explanation provided by an Adobe engineer is "when DW CC was updated, the payload of DW CC also updated the DW CS6 payload. So when DW CS6 was trying to update, the payload information was being retrieved as already upgraded and hence the update was failing.... The update system is designed to behave independent of the order in which software is updated. But sometimes, unexpectedly it so happens that the updates fail. So it is better to update the older versions first and then updating the current version (to be on a safer side)." -

CS6 Design & Web Premium - all product updates fail with U44M1P7 since Creative Cloud was introduced.
Two questions:
1. I saw earlier case which pointed to http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cs6-updates-dont-install.html. For my clarification, does this solution mean I have to Uninstall & Reinstall CS6 from scratch?
2. I did not mean to install, nor do I want Creative Cloud. So how do I get it off my computer and keep it off?

No Replies, but persistence prevails ...
Following resoplution steps worked for me, resulting in all products being Up To Date post reboot:
1. Start > Control Panel > Uninstall "Adobe Extension Manager CS6"
2. Reboot
3. Reinstall "Adobe Extension Eanager CS6"
a. I had original download files saved and used them.
b. But, download from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em6_download.html produced same files
4. Reboot
5. Performed Validations:
a. Started Adobe Application Manager (which starts Creative Cloud)
1. Select "Install or update an application" and all products are noted as "Up to date".
b. Started Adobe Creative Cloud
1. Select "Install or update an application" and all products are noted as "Up to date".
c. Selected "Help > Updates" from within Dreamweaver, Fireworks & Photoshop (64-bit) CS6 (random choices)
1. All products are noted as "Up to date".
FYI, I noted that some other cases noted resolution with install of "Extension manager CC" (i.e. Createive Cloud)
I did not install this product.
Case closed for me. Hope this helps someone else.I will suggest to uninstall the Photoshop CC and completely clean Photoshop CC using Creative Cloud Cleaner tool.
you can download CC cleaner tool from : http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
and cleaning reinsall phothshop CC using Creative cloud and then try to update the application.

The Adobe Updater fails everytime due to our corporate fire wall.
The Adobe Updater fails every time due to our corporate fire wall. Is there a work around? It completes about 80% then can't see the internet. I suspect it is trying to talk to an FTP site which are blocked by our firewall.
Is there a work-around?
PaulI am using Windows 7. I went to the "Installers" folder & there is a log file for every update except the Camera Raw update. I don't think it gets far enough to create the file. I was watching the folder & I tried to install this last patch again. I starts out saying it's downloading then aborts. No file is created. The files that are in the folder are:

Ordinarily I would just ignore this failure but I actually use Camera Raw for my Nikon D90 and Nikon D7000. -
I have tried to update to DW8.0.2 from DW8.0.1 using the
updater. When I run the updater, I receive this error: The wizard
was interrupted befor macromedia Dreamweaver 8.0.2 Updater could be
completely installed. You system has not bee modfied.
I am running WinX64 Pro on a dual core Pentium. Everything
runs great, exept for this updater.

However, I did need to do one more thing for the "unwrapped package" installer to work:
I had to turn off UAC (User Account Control) before I applied the unwrapped 8.0.2 update package.
This is easily done in the Control Panel / User Accounts section if you have administrator privileges.
Be sure to turn it back on after the update is applied.

Here is a way in which I think I was able to "update" my InDesign CC application:
(1) Sign-In to your Adobe Account

What happened when I followed steps (1) thorugh (5) is that:
(a) InDesign CC(2014) was installed,
(b) InDesign CC, updated, and then
(c) InDesign CC(2014), also updated.
Why this all worked, is a mystery to me.
Looks like a separate, "new" version of InDesign, InDesign CC(2014), was installed, the existing "old" InDesign was updated, and then the newly installed Indesign CC(2014) was further updated.
A BIT MORE, when I launched my InDesign CC app, and checked to see if there were Updates Available, there in fact was an Adobe InDesign CC 64 bit (9.2.2) update.
I clicked on UPDATE and my "old" InDesign CC app was "successfully updated."
FURTHER INFO: I may have neglected to list some important info ... OS: Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, 64-bit
Confused, I am able to launch BOTH of these apps, and hopefully I may use one of these versions of the InDesign CC app, to do some InDesign work.
