Dreamweaver updates

Hi,
Mac Snow leopard. Unable to update either Dreamweaver or Photoshop from cloud. Bridge, illustrator, inDesign etc are all updating happily. This is similar to the "extrension manager" update failures before I went to the Cloud an dunderstood the new updaters would prevent the recurring problems.

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, reinstall, try again.

  • Dreamweaver update 2014.1.1 is now live

The Dreamweaver team is happy to announce “Dreamweaver CC 2014.1.1” Win Build #6981 & Mac Build #6982 build.
Please refer to the What’s New for detailed information here
For the list of known issues with this release, see Known issues | Update to Dreamweaver CC 2014 release
For the list of bug fixes, see Bugs fixed in the February 2015 release
While we do not foresee any issue with updating your application, it is always best to complete your immediate tasks before you update your software. I am locking this discussion so that we can discuss topics related to this release under more relevant headings.
Note: On the Creative Cloud application, the version appears as 2014.1. Use the Update button next to it.
If you do not see an update in Creative Cloud application, quit the application. Click the wheel icon on top and select Quit.  Relaunch the application and the update should be listed now. To make sure that you have installed the latest update, open Dreamweaver after the update is complete (took me around 5 minutes over a high speed connection today), and select Help > About. You should see this screen. Ensure that the version is listed as 2014.1.1. The build number for Windows is 6981 and for Mac OS is 6982.
Tip: You can launch Dreamweaver directly from the Creative Cloud application by clicking the name of the software.
When you open the latest Dreamweaver update, the latest (and its most exciting feature) becomes immediately apparent. Using data from many sources, the team responsible for content and learning have put together a set of tutorials that will help new  users get started with web design, and of course, Dreamweaver. I am very excited especially because we now have one repository that is available immediately within Dreamweaver.
Key feature set for this patch release:
    New Welcome screen
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced user, or evaluating the new version of Dreamweaver, you can now get all the essential learning resources right on the Welcome Screen.
    CSS Designer enhancements
This update includes a few changes to the CSS Designer user interface and a change in the default setting of the Show Set check box.
    Enhancements to Extract panel
Live Guides and Element Quick View icon now appears in Live View when you drag images from the Extract panel. These visual aids help you place the image quickly and precisely in the required position.
    Remote debugging of Live View
You can now remotely debug your Dreamweaver documents open in Live View using Google Chrome DevTools.
Change in the view mode of dynamic documents
Dynamic documents such as PHP, CFM, and ASP no longer open in Code View by default. They open in the same mode (Code/Live/Split) as the last closed document or the last document that was in focus.
Enhancements to Live View editing : Drag and drop elements, Marquee selection, Element Display enhancements, New Code View themes.
    Thanks,
    Preran

  • Dreamweaver update 13.2.1 for Windows 8 (issues related to DPI scaling addressed)

The latest Dreamweaver update (13.2.1)  is recommended for Windows 8 users. This fix allows Windows 8 users to use Dreamweaver on High Resolution monitors.
For Windows 7 users, there is no additional benefit from this update.
If you do not see the update listed in your Creative Cloud application, quit the application, and relaunch it.
This udpate addresses the following issues:
Dreamweaver UI rendered is too small to be usable
UI elements do not appear in the intended location
Some of the elements are not visible as they extend beyond their visible area
Note that the product team is still working on making Dreamweaver a HiDPI aware product.
    Thanks,

  • Sometime dreamweaver updates included file path somtime not

    Hi,
I use server side include file in Dreamweaver. Sometimes I
move the included file to another folder, dreamweaver updates all
the links that use that file. But sometime not.
I need to know why sometimes not, and why dreamweaver updates
just some link but not all the links.

I have no answer (nor have I seen this symptom), but have a
    suggestion
    that may/may not help.
You might try rebuilding the site cache prior to moving the
    file(s).
Also, are any of these links embedded in JavaScript? I don't
    know
whether DW updates those links or not - just a wild guess.

  • Dreamweaver update failed with U41M1C212

After installing Dreamweaver CS5.5 in Windows 7, and then trying to update, received message from Adobe Application Manager error code U41M1C212.
( could not connect, and download updates). Found solution in Forums acrobat discussion ( Update server not responding" when trying to update Acrobat 9 Pro )  from Ken7795, his solution worked perfectly,  1. Open Network and Sharing Center 2. Click Change adapter settings
    3. Right-click the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter, and click Disable.
My question is, why this solution works ? Thank you for your help.

Sounds like an Acrobat question since the error only occured when updating Acrobat, but regardless, what is the Microsoft Virtual WiFi adapter that you have and is it running?  It could be a conflict with the adapter with another adapter (software related).  Being that the package for the Virtual adpater is part of the MSDN Developer Platform, you might want to cross post this in the MSDN forum as developers on that level will have more of an understanding of why development software would conflict with production software.

  • After Dreamweaver update, my sites are gone from the site manager

How do I recover the sites?  Any ideas? Can I recover the sites from the Time Machine?  If yes, does anyone know where?  I'm running Yosemite with Dreamweaver CC 2014.1

I don't know if Time Machine can recover these settings for you.
It's indeed unfortunate that you didn't export your site definitions prior to this significant update.  I make it a habit to export my site definitions whenever I make changes to them.  It's a huge time saver following  upgrades or migrations to new computers.

  • Dreamweaver Update Issue

    Hi
I am using CS3 and used the command server behaviour to set
up an update function on a webpage. It is to update multiple

    cmdUpdateMR__@@varName@@ = "@@defaultValue@@"

I cannot find a solution anywhere and I am getting desperate.

"If you're looking at the line in question and it isn't
    simply an unclosed
string or a premature carriage return, try deleting the
    line(s) altogether
and re-typing them by hand. This should eliminate the

    The Cause of error 800A0408
Your VBScript contains an illegal character, often at the
    beginning of a
line. It can happen if you copy the script from word, then
    paste into
notepad. For example, to 'Rem out a line we need the
    apostrophe, which is
ASCII character 39; however if you paste from word you may
    get ASCII 96
    (Grave accent).

  • Dreamweaver Update CS6 12.0 to 12.3

Hi, I'm trying to update Dreamweaver cs6 12.0 to 12.3.
Downloaded and run the update file from Adobe.
The progress bar just flows quite quick and no update is performed.
Any ideas please would be fantastic, thank you.

If you're still having problems with getting Dreamweaver CS6 to update, I'm afraid that you will probably have to go through the following steps:
    1. Take a back-up of your user configuration folders for Dreamweaver CS6 as well as Dreamweaver CC.
    2. Uninstall Dreamweaver CS6
    3. Uninstall Dreamweaver CC
    4. Reboot your machine
    5. Quit Adobe Creative Cloud (ACC) desktop app (if already running)
    6. Launch ACC and install Dreamweaver CS6
    7. Quit and re-launch ACC (for the updates for CS6 to show up)
    8. Try to update Dreamweaver CS6
    9. Install Dreamweaver CC from ACC
    10. Quit and re-launch ACC (for the updates for CC to show up)
    11. Try to update Dreamweaver CC
After updating, Dreamweaver CS6 should be version 12.2, not 12.3.
The explanation provided by an Adobe engineer is "when DW CC was updated, the payload of DW CC also updated the DW CS6 payload. So when DW CS6 was trying to update, the payload information was being retrieved as already upgraded and hence the update was failing.... The update system is designed to behave independent of the order in which software is updated. But sometimes, unexpectedly it so happens that the updates fail. So it is better to update the older versions first and then updating the current version (to be on a safer side)."

@SolaCrazyDog: Assuming you're referring to CS6 and not '6', why dont you let Adobe Application Manager handle the updates for you?
It is usually included as part of Creative Suite. If you cant find it installed on your computer, get it from here:

  • Dreamweaver Updates 12.2

I thought Dreamweaver Creative Cloude Edition was updated to version 12.2? I'm on 12.1 Build 5949 but when I check for updates via Application Manager it returns that all my apps are up to date? Are updates rolled out geographically?

OK I decided to log into the creative cloude website and try clicking the Dreamweaver Download link but that just opened app manager with Dreamweaver marked as up to date, so i decided to try installing Edge Animate via app manager even though I have it installed alreay. It downloaded and installed overtop of the existing install and seems fine. It is now listed as installed in app manager, then i went back to CC website and clicked DW download link again and it triggered the DW update to 12.2 build 6006. Not sure why App Manager couldn't tell that dreamweaver had an update available? I think I'm all sorted now.

  • Dreamweaver Update forgets Account Names and Passwords?

This morning I did the Adobe updater thing and it snagged five applications, including Dreamweaver which I was working on.
I closed Dreamweaver and hit [Continue] and it finished. I'm now running Dreamweaver 11, Build 4916.
I re-launched Dreamweaver and made a few edits to the page I was working on and saved those, and got an FTP error.
A little snooping reveals that there is now no account name or password listed in my Site settings. And it's that way for EVERY site!
Okay, calm down... d e e p breaths... Let's re-import the Sites using the old .ste files, right? They were created with the selection to save account names and passwords, too. Point-point, click-click, building the new [2] site and... edit the page, save the changes and Boom! Ftp error, again.
How can I fix this, please?

Thank you so much! I was afraid I was going to have to contact a dozen server administrators and recharge a dozen different passwords and then make sure that everyone up and down the line had the new ones, etc.
I'm going to look into finding the article you mentioned.
    Thanks, again!
