    Hi
How can I get Windows (v7 x64) to open in Dreamweaver (CS5) if I right click it?
None of the normal mechanisms of setting an application to be the DEFAULT application for the .HTML file type seem to work...
    Extremely irritating.

Does BC require any special ports open inbound for it to work.  I have managed to get it working on a DW 5 install with the BC plugin but on a different machine!  Still no joy with DW6 :-(

I checked the link for the link Camera Raw 7.2 Windows. I just don't trust links like that, and worse yet, the download file is called Setup.exe.
Not for me!  It's Setup.zip and it opens as a zip archive via Explorer.  Specifically:

If it looks like Setup.exe to you, you're right to be suspicious!

  • Win X64 and Dreamweaver

I am just curious to see if I am the only one running X64. I
could not get the 8.0.2 update to take and after searching the
forums here, I am convinced that it is my operating sytem. I do no
have any problems running any programs but the update. Photoshop,
Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and all my MS
applications work great. Just the updater for DW 8.0.2 is the only
    problem.

    Say Andrew,
You claim that Adobe completely ignore x64 support. It is all
    rant, misleading and inaccurate.
I am pretty darn sure that Adobe system developers and
engineers are well aware of this issue. Perhaps that you need to be
either patience for next release or make some constructive,
professional and netural feedback about X64 support. Ideally, it is
a good time for you to address this issue around CS3 products
development currently under development and being engineered for
    next release.
I'd be honest with you, I don't know what is going to happen
between now and for next few months, what is going to happen if CS3
supports X64 platform/architecture, perhaps for sure in time by CS4
(perhaps other 18 months plus the pre-CS3 release few months from
    now)...
It is fair for me to say that, however, it will be benefit to
all of us and Adobe system engineers if you address this issue by
send feedback email. For now, and until then, sit tight and be
    patient, I guess.
    Happy Holidays, DWD

Oh, and Flashpaper doesn't work, either.
Adobe/Macromedia seem to have almost completely ignored x64,

  • Adobe CC - Dreamweaver PhoneGap Problem - Win7 x64 Pro

    Hallo
    Was mache ich hier Falsch?

    Hallo,
habe das gleiche problem nur auf Mac, hast du eine Lösung parat?

    From Dreamweaver FAQ

"If Dreamweaver is acting erratically, or if you see a message saying "the following JavaScript error(s) occurred",  it's usually a sign of a corrupt cache file. The first thing to try should always be to delete the file cache. If that doesn't work, delete your personal Configuration folder. Full instructions are in Deleting a corrupted cache file.

  • Template url problem in Dreamweaver CS4

    Hi there,
Thank you very much for reading this post.  I am having a problem with templates in Dreamweaver CS4, I am following the correct procedures to build a template, but when I link the pages together and update the template, the url has not been changed/updated on the child pages.
    Here is an example:
    Template:
    ../content/section/pagename.html
    Child Page:
    /section/pagename.html
Missing out the first part of the link, when the pages are loaded, obviously, they are not going to the correct part of the website
Please, can anybody give me some advice, as this problem is very quickly, driving me mad.
    Thank you.
    John

I observe this problem too on my Vista x64 machine with CS4
using dual monitors and split code/design views, and have found
others who have this problem by searching Google.
Description of problem: Roughly 50% of the time, when
switching between files (regardless of type) and trying to select a
block of code with my mouse (dragging over some code with the left
button), it appears to work normally (the intended code is
highlighted). However, when then attempting to CTRL-C (cut) or
paste, the selected code instantly changes to a much larger block
of code (usually selecting a specific div block or something). The
cut or pasted code is then the larger (unintended) block of code.
Once the code view selection works for a particular file
(either it worked from the start or I poked at it long enough to
work), it seems to remain working until switching to another file
    and then returning.
Also, Dreamweaver CS3 didn't have this problem, so it's CS4
    only.
This is a workflow nuisance much like a word-processor
deciding to insert a % character randomly every 10 seconds while
    typing.
I found a Google groups thread
    here
in which a poster writes that deleting the Dreamweaver
configuration file fixes this temporarily (the problem eventually
shows up again, and you lose all your customizations by doing
this). The posters in this thread also describe the same problem
    with other hardware configurations.
My current workaround is to type return then backspace when
dropping in to the code-view of another file--kind of a pain, but
at least predictable. I also tried avoided the issue by: (a)
selecting something in the design view and then selecting something
in the code view, and/or (b) telling Dreamweaver to show the
"element view" (right click in design view, element view, Full),
but this latter action may be superfluous.
I'd be very interested if someone were to post a simple fix
    for this problem.
    thanks!
    JP

    writing them!

  • Dreamweaver CS5 fails to open XP-Resolution Here!

    Hi,
We had an issue with Dreamweaver CS5 opening under a standard user on XP Pro SP3.
    The resolution....
Open msconfig and disable everything to do with Adobe. Simple! Don't mess with config files, re-install; it doesn't work! Stopping Adobe things from running seems to so far.
Before Dreamweaver will show the green startup box and then completly close, no error, warning, crash, etc.
    The proceedure as follows:-
    Start > Run...   type msconfig
    Startup Tab
Untick anythings that has Adobe in its program line/path
    Click Apply/OK
    Restart
Tick the box for the msconfig window to not show, then click ok if it shows up.
Open Dreamweaver, worked a treat on ones I tried. This solution also works for Bridge CS5 not opening and crashing (Bridge has stopped working) under Windows 7 x64; even after Adobe looked at the issue and were clueless!
If you want any more info, let me know.

Sorry I can't be more help. This is a user to user forum, and I'm a designer rather than a technician. How about contacting Adobe Technical support?

  • Dreamweaver Fails To Load On Acer Laptop

I recently purchased an Acer 6920 laptop, everything runs
fine, including other CS3 applications, however Dreamweaver loads
to the point where the splash screen shows initialising files and
then...nothing. I contacted Acer software support and was told
there is a conflict with the 3rd party PSD app shipped with the
laptop as part of what they call empowering technology :) I was
given the following fix, which has solved the problem:
First restart in safe mode - Click on start, type msconfig
into the search box, hit enter. Once open click on the boot tab,
under boot options select safe boot and then minimal click OK and
    then restart
Once rebooted navigate to the following folders and in each
case rename the PSDProtect.dll file to something else such as
    noPSDProtect.dll:
    C:\Program Files\Acer\Empowering Technology\eDataSecurity\x86
    C:\Program Files\Acer\Empowering Technology\eDataSecurity\x64
Restart your computer and all should then be fine loading
Dreamweaver, PSD will still work except you will lose drag and drop
functionality. Personally I don't use PSD but simply had to get
    Dreamweaver working
    Hope this helps someone

  • Dreamweaver Business Catalyst SFTP Fail

I really think business catalyst has some potential, but I have yet to be able to connect to it using dreamweaver cc or cs6.
    Windows 7 x64
Kaspersky Internet Security (I have tried with it disabled)
When I try to connect to the servers using sftp I get the following error: (it doesn't even give me a log file)
I have no problems logging in with FileZilla.
Both BC support and Dreamweaver support have been completely utterly useless.
I'm praying someone on here has come across this with a resolution. (seems to be a common problem - I have yet to fix)

I am assuming you are correctly using these connection details:
    SFTP account details
    Host name - mydomain.com
Protocol - SFTP / SSH File Transfer Protocol
    Port - 22
    User name - mydomain.com/[email protected]
Password - Your admin login password
Notice the way username is inserted here.
You might also want to check your FTP log if it has anything to suggest what is wrong.  To get the log file do this:
