DreamweaverCtrls
Hi,
I am getting a parser error when opening a .aspx file in
Dreamweaver CS3 with any browser. This is not an unknown problem!
(see this forum last November).
I think the solution would be an updated version of the
current version of DreamweaverCtrls,version=1.0.0.0 that would
actually work with ASP.NET 2.0!
At present Dreamweaver CS3 is broken and doesn't do what it
should, and I cannot see how Adobe can sell it without providing a
fix for this problem.
WebXel.com generously provide a version for Dreamweaver 8
free of charge.
So why can't Adobe do the same for Dreamweaver CS3? Or don't
customers matter any more?
I have enjoyed using Dreamweaver up to to this point but now
I am utterly frustrated and I just want my money back!
Richard.

They have already announced that support for .NET is being
dropped in
the next version, so I doubt that they will fix this version.

DreamweaverCtrls.dll changed to MS Word 2007 icon
I have installed CS3 but the DreamweaverCtrls.dll is not working well (tables do not pull through in datasets). After a long investigation, I just found out that the dll control has taken on the image if MS Word. Could this be the cause of my problem? How can I change it back to the usual .dll icon?.
Another thing is I can print anything off the net (I just print several disney coloring pages for my nephew), I could also print a test page, but for some reason ms word 2007 and the word pad is printing blanks or doing the things I've listed above. I tried going to http://support.microsoft.com/ph/11377, concerning this but they don't seem to have a forum, they only have an index page for known issues of ms word 2007, but not a thing concerning my problems.

GAre you testing on the server or locally. If the latter is
true make sure
that a copy of the controls is in a bin folder at the
C:\inetpub\wwwroot
level.

Could not load file or assembly DreamweaverCtrls
Hello,
I’ve been researching my issue, but haven’t had
any luck in getting it resolved. So, i’m hoping someone can
please help me!
I’m using DW 8 and am trying to load a simple asp.net
application. The application works perfectly fine on my local
server. The problem is, is that can’t get the application to
even open when it is on the hosting server. When I try to run the
application I receive the following Parser Error message.

DreamweaverCtrls.dll Security Error
Hi,
I am using Dreamweaver 8, Asp.net and the control
"DreamweaverCtrls.dll" to connect and access a mySQL database.
Everything goes just fine in my local Web Server (windows
2003, IIS 6), but when I upload the site to my web host then I get
the following security error:
Description: The application attempted to perform an operation
not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the
required permission please contact your system administrator or
change the application's trust level in the configuration file.

After researching in several forums I found out that the
possible solutions are:
- Use a fixed DreamweaverCtrls.dll file
- Instruct the Web Hosting provider to lower their security
settings (unlikely)
- Modify the config.web file's settings in order to make the
.dll trusted
I really don't know how to implement the above suggestions,
does anybody know how? or does anybody know of another possible
solution?
Thank you.I have never seen that sort of error using the control. I
would suggest that
you contact your host and see if there is anything unique
about the way that
they implement ASP.Net

Dreamweaverctrls.dll blank pages
Any page that registers dreamweaverctrls.dll renders blank. the dll is out there in the bin folder. regsvr32 throws "entry point not found". Any solution or, what can I try?
Does the 6100 have any flashing lights? If so, this may help: Blinking Lights.
If you have tried three different inks, the printhead may be damaged. Try updating the printers firmware, you will need a Windows computer and a USB cable: HP Officejet 6100 ePrinter Firmware.
If these ideas fails, contacting HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you would be your best option.

System.Exception: null or empty values
Have designed a 4 part form Using DW MX, ASP.NET C# and MySQL
and currently getting the below error when moving from one page to
the next.
The web.config file is on the server, there are no null or
empty values, and the key tags match.
I am new to applicaiton development in DW and am now stuck -
any suggestions?
System.Exception: This page has a MM:DataSet, MM:Insert,
MM:Update or MM:Delete tag with a null or empty value for the
ConnectionString and DatabaseType attributes.
Often, such values come from application settings in the
web.config file. That file might be missing from the server
executing this page. Or, it might be missing the particular add key
tags for the database connection this page uses. If you are using
Dreamweaver, look for the web.config file in the local root folder
of your Dreamweaver site. Once you find this file, you can either:
Put this file onto the server that is executing this page.
Copy the add key tags from the web.config in the local root
folder of your Dreamweaver site and paste them into the web.config
file in the server that is executing this page.

Dreamweaver Namespace issue on my web server
I am hosting my site on GoDaddy.com. I have created a site
using Dreamweaver CS3 and SQL2005. Everything works great on my
local machine, but when I upload it to the remote web server, the
aspx pages do not work. GoDaddy support says it is due to the
second line in every one of my aspx pages, specifically the
namespace attribute. From what I've read, this is automatically put
into every page created by Dreamweaver that contains an asp/asp.net
control. GoDaddy's response is to remove this line from my page and
everything will work great, which obviously it will not. I really
would not like to have to rebuild 32 + aspx pages after already
developing them in Dreamweaver. The actual line they say is causing
the problem is below:
<%@ Register TagPrefix="MM" Namespace="DreamweaverCtrls"
Assembly="DreamweaverCtrls,version=1.0.0.0,publicKeyToken=836f606ede05d46a,culture=neutra l"
%>
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get around this
issue?"carrb69" <[email protected]> wrote in

Hi Brian,
maybe it's your browser that's hiding the error message, if
using MSIE then
please disable the "Show friendly HTTP error messages" option
in Internet
Options.
If that doesn't reveal the error message, try editing the
web.config that
dreamweaver generated for you with the following settings,
(add any missing
settings, and leave the connectionstrings that dreamweaver
has setup intact)
<configuration>
<system.web>
<compilation debug="true"/>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
<trace
enabled="true"
traceMode="SortByCategory"
requestLimit="10"
pageOutput="false"
localOnly="false"
/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Debug Compilation should give more insight inrto compilation
errors, which
can allso be done at the page level via<% @ Page
debug=true" %>
Custom Errors Off will disable any error pages that may be
shown in case of
an error, seting it to "emoteOnly" will only thow these page
to external
visitors, but since you are not working on the server that
actually makes
little sense.
The trace setting should enable a HTTP Handler that allows
you to view trace
information from /trace.axd in the root of your website,
enabling pageOutput
will inject the tracing information into every page, which
can allso be done
at the page level via <% @ Page trace=true" %>
There settings do have a performance impact because they are
enabled for
every request in the application, once you've got the errors
out disable
them at the application level and enable them per-page.
Hope this helps

DW MX 04 Database Controls won't work
This is the first job I have had working with database app.
My data base has been built. I can see all my tables in the
database window of DW. So I have a connection. Forms were made on
asp.net c# files. I insert an ASP.NET object from the insert menu
to rest and I get the following error. Server Error in '/'
Application. The error is on line 2 and reads:
Line 2: <%@ Register TagPrefix="MM"
Namespace="DreamweaverCtrls"
Assembly="DreamweaverCtrls,version=1.0.0.0,publicKeyToken=836f606ede05d46a,culture=neutra l"
%>
Don't know why this error keeps showing up. If anyone is
familiar with DW controls and control errors please give me some
advice.
I went to the following page to download an extension but it
won't even install in DW. Keeps telling me to close DW but DW is
not open. This is the page where I get the ext.:

Please help
Thanks in advance
DavidMX2004 software is also somewhat antiquated and no longer supported by Adobe. So it shouldn't surprise you that the tools from nearly a decade ago are obsolete today. The web itself has changed significantly since 2004!
Web standards have moved from HTML3 to HTML5. Layouts have departed from old school nested tables to more efficient CSS. Unlike a decade ago, today's web devices include everything from hand held smartphones & tablets to laptops, desktops and TV displays. So it's not possible to stand still and keep pace with the evolving web. If you're not moving forward, you're falling behind.
CSS is not an extension. HTML = content. CSS = Cascading Style Sheets. CSS is used to style your content. With CSS you can make an ordinary list look like a very cool menu with buttons, borders, shadows, drop-down and rollover effects. If you master CSS, you can do some very creative things with it. However, coding skills are essential.
Below is an example of an unordered list styled with CSS to make a nice horizontal drop-menu.
http://alt-web.com/DEMOS/CSS-Multi-colored-drop-menu.shtml
To further illustrate the efficiency and power of CSS, look at CSS Zen Garden.
http://www.csszengarden.com/
Every page on the right panel contains exactly the same HTML code as the first. The only difference is the CSS code.
The shift to CSS is intended to help web designers keep styles separate from content. Learning to work with CSS will make a you better web designer and save countless hours of tedious re-coding when you decide to change the look of your site. It's much easier to edit one file instead of many.
Below are some links to help you learn more about how to work with CSS.

Hi
Please help!
I have a page which has an sql statement to show me the records from the last 100 days.
SELECT tblItems.intItemID, tblItems.txtProductCode, tblItems.txtModel, tblItems.memDescription, tblItems.dteDateIn, tblItems.txtSalesPrice, tblItems.txtLargeImage
FROM tblItems
WHERE (((tblItems.dteDateIn)>=DateAdd("d",-100,Date())))
This works when I test it in the dataset window but throws up the following error on my server running WinXP Pro & IIS.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

</html>Actually, version 9.1.3 is available. Go to your Applications folder, right or control click the iPhoto icon then click Get Info. You can see which version is currently installed there.
Try this... you do not have to repurchase an app if you delete it. Go to your Applications folder and move the iPhoto app to the Trash. Now follow the instructions here for re downloading iPhoto.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
That should give you the most recent version without having to worry about updates.
If you still have problems, install the v10.6.7 combo update.
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1361
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.7.
Then restart your Mac. Try reinstalling iPhoto again. -

I want to make a record-update page with the wizard.
With just 1 record showing on the page, update is working.
If I add a repeated region and a navigation bar, I get this
errors:
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: Field 'gegevens.voornaam'
cannot be a zero-length string.
at
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand.ExecuteCommandTextForSingleResult(tagDBPARAMS
dbParams, Object& executeResult)
at
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand.ExecuteCommandText(Object&
executeResult)

System.Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand.ExecuteCommand(CommandBehavior
behavior, Object& executeResult)
at
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand.ExecuteReaderInternal(CommandBehavior
behavior, String method)
at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand.ExecuteNonQuery()
at DreamweaverCtrls.DataSet.DoInit()
When I put all fiels "allow zero length YES", every time I
update a record, the record shows up complete empty...Your problem is a NullPointerException.
Use Blocks of try...catch in your code to find the line with problems.
Example:
<%
try {
String username = (String)session.getAttribute("username"); // get the session variable value
String oldPassword = request.getParameter("oldPassword");
String newPassword = request.getParameter("newPassword");
String confirmPassword = request.getParameter("confirmPassword");
catch(Exception e) { out.println("The NullPointerException is here!"); }
%>

Help needed in DataGrid Server Behavior
Hi,
I am an average user.
I am facing problem with ASP DataGrid function. I have tried
both ways but
could not succeed in edit/update function.
I tried to add additional column with "edit update cancel
button". Later, I
tried to add one column with the same functions. But it gives
the following
error.
System.Exception: Unsupported TYPE attribute: Integer
at DreamweaverCtrls.DataSet.GetDbTypeFromString(String str)
at DreamweaverCtrls.DataSet.OnDataGridUpdate(Object Src,
DataGridCommandEventArgs E)
There is one primary key containing unique value for the
records. But I am
not trying to update this anyway.
Any help is very much appreciated
Thank you
p.s.: I have sorted this out with MS visual web developer.
But I do not want
to change to it for only one function, no matter how crucial
it is.just go through this :
