Drill back to planning using ODI

Hi Experts !!
My Source is from oracle tables(11g) which I able to reverse engineer in ODI 11g and load the data to Hyperion planning application 11.1.2 .
Now the requirement is that they need drill through/back from planning to the source oracle tables ?
Can you please suggest me with options to do it ?

My Source is RDBMS tables (Oracle 11) using FDM integration script I can retrieve the data and load it to planning . And my source is not ERP or EBS .
Is it possible to drlill through/back to these RDBMS tables ?
And is it possible to automate the FDM integration script to run on daily against the RDBMS tables ?

Load members and sort in Planning using ODI

Is it possible to load the members and also sort all the members, after the load, when loading into Hyperion Planning using ODI? If there are new members after the previous load, the new nembers are being added at the end. I tried to sort my source but it's the same. I also had SORT_PARENT_CHILD set to Yes.

Hi,
There are sometimes issues with the sorting using the parent/child option, I think it stems from the old days of HAL as that wasn't the best at sorting.
The options are use the planning sort member utility or depending on how you loading the hierarchy you can order it before it is loaded, if you are using a repository you can create a view to return the members in the correct order or use an id to badge the members in the correct order.

Unable to load metada into Hyperion Planning using ODI

I am using ODI 11g and trying to load the metadata for Hyperion Planning application 11.1.2.1. But I couldnt load all the Product members in Product Dimension.
Could able to load few members but was able to run the interface successfully but thrown error while loading few members(Most of the members are shared members, verified that base members existed). Please find the below error log.

Can you check the error log file as you have posted the log file, it should give more information to why the records were rejected.

Unable to load Dimension into Hyperion planning using ODI ?

Hi All
We are trying to load Dimension into hyperion planning Ver. 11.1.2 using ODI. We have created the interface and mapped the source csv file to target planmning application using ODI KM.
LKM file to SQL
IKM SQL to Planning
We get success in ODI's Operator but the Dimension is not updated nor new data is insreted.
We get this message in Error file:-

Error during dimension load in planning using ODI adapter

I have created a Planning app in Classic and used ODI Planning adapter to load the dimension from a csv file. I tried this with Account and Entity dimension. Both fail at the same step. This is the error I get.
Error:
-22 : S0002 : java.sql.SQLException: Table not found: C$_0Entity in statement

Step 1 - Loading -SS_0 - Drop work table - It is failing in this step with the following message:

Extracting Outline from Planning using ODI

Hi John,
I would like to extract the outline from my Planning application using ODI.
When i did the extraction from the essbase, most of the properties of the members are differing wrt the Planning properties.
Is there any way to extract the outline directly from Planning.

The properties have a different name but they are the same thing, you just need to transform the name into the planning equivalent.
There is currently no adaptor to extract,usually a utility it can be done by the outline loader in version 11.1.2.1

Drill back from hyperion planning

hi,
We are extracting data from ERP and using ODI and we are loading into EPMA planning application. In this scenario can we do a Drill back from Planning Webform/HFR/Analyzer/Smartview to Oracle ERP system using ERP integrator? We don't have FDQM. Is it possible to drill back in our scenario without using FDQM and just using ERPi?

Unable to load data to Hyperion planning application using odi

When I try to load data into planning using odi, the odi process completes successfully with the following status in the operator ReportStatistics as shown below but the data doesn't seem to appear in the planning data form or essbase

Do any members exist in the account dimension before the load? if not can you try adding one member manually then trying the load again.

How to delete Hyperion Planning member using ODI

Hi All,
Anyone know how to delete Hyperion Planning member using ODI? And how to update account type on Hyperion Planning Using ODI?
e.g.:
I have a member with account type Saved Assumption, and I need to change to Revenue, but it cannot change. But if I change to Expense, it can. So what's wrong with the mapping?

Hi,
To delete a member you use the Operation column, the following values can be used.
Update – This is the default and is used if not populated, it Add, updates, moves the member being loaded.
Delete Level 0 - Deletes the member being loaded if it has no children
Delete Idescendants –Deletes the member being loaded and all of its descendants.
Delete Descendants –Deletes the descendants of the member being loaded, but does not delete the member itself.
Does the member you trying to change to Revenue have a variance reporting set to "Expense" as it will need to be set to "Non Expense"
Also in your interface you can add logging options in the IKM, this maybe will give a clearer indication where your problem lies.

Drill through from Planning to Oracle

Hello,
Quick question: If I load data into Hyperion Planning using ODI, will I be able to drill through to the source which is an Oracle database ? If not, what do I need to be able to do the drill through ?

I might run into an issue with that: My infrastructure uses single sign-on (using OAM). FDM does not support single sign-on according to the platform matrix. But it apparently does support it for HFM applications. Single sign-on is also a Connection Option, according to the DBAG for FDM. (which really confuses me: Why does the platform matrix say SSO not supported but then it does work with HFM and it is one of the connection options?
But anyway as far as I know, the above is not the case for planning. Is my understanding correct? If a user provisioned using single sign-on has accesses a data form in the planning application, is there any way he/she will be able to drill through to the source Oracle 10g/11g database? Users also need to push planning and forecasting data from the planning application to the Oracle DB.
Maybe there's a workaround?
Any insight into this will be greatly appreciated as always.

Cannot see all the essbase dimensions when performed reverse engg.using ODI

I performed the reverse engineering process for getting the dimensions from Essbase to the Model. First time the session has shown an error. When i right clicked the session in the operator and clicked on restart it has run succesfuly. But only the Accounts dimension got reversed. The rest of the dimensions are not seen in the Model. Please suggest

I have got to import my actuals data which is ther in Oracle database to Planning. As i was told that ODI is not compatible with EPMA, i cannot load data into Planning using ODI. As anyways the data is to be stored in essbase itself i want to use ODI to load the data into essbase. For metadata upload i am making use of Interface tables
My problem is
1.do i need to have a staging table for bringing my actuals data into it first and then connect it to Essbase?
2. If yes, what shud be the table format, like the columns?
3. And, the user wants this to be automated. And if there are any changes to the base tables(tables with actual data in oracle) they shud be reflected in the essbase aslo. So is there any lookup functionality in ODI?

and I would like load the dimension except gen 3.

Unable to drill back to the FDM from Hyperion Planning

We are using FDM version 11.1.2.2.00 for integration with Oracle E-Business Suite. We have configured FDM to load the data in three cubes in Hyperion Planning i.e. Opex, Capex and Manpower. When we drill back to the source system after loading the data, The drill through to the source system sucessfully runs for opex and capex. But when we click on 'Drill to the Source' from web form in Hyperion planning, it gives below error.

1) that the target system (originating the drillback) is properly configured;
2) that the FDM POVs have not been retroactively modified or compromised.

Hi,
In that case can you pls confirm the location is correct or not. Try to check the location from where it is drilling back the data. Compare the location with Opex/Capex scenario. It is not an integration issue, something you are missing, otherwise you will face issues with Opex & Capex also.
