Driling is possible in BI 4.0
It is only possible on report level.
The reports that can be viewed on BB can be drilled, however canot be refreshed with dynamic or cascading prompts.

GMAP for Mobile in WEBI 2nd layer ( Drill Down )

I am Creating a webi report with mobile compatibility . Would like to show GMAP in that using table Name : map_lt1_lo2_poi3_od4. Now till this point my Webi is working fine . It is showing bubbles on Map. Now i want if i click on a bubble ( Which is a Country ) , it will open one more webi report ( using Open Document OD Section ) and that will show selected Country's Cities ( that is also in GMAP ) . If i am using any other report without GMAP, it is working fine. But gmap inside gmap is not working. Can anyone please tell me is it possible ? or can suggest me anything else for this?

I have a similar kind of requirement here.
I need to show BW data on wireless device...via Portal.
This BW data is a query, which is created using WAD.
In normal case, we just use the SAP BW Report iView, stick the Bex query in it and its all done. But in this case....how am to go about this...?
Ive read about Mobile WebDynpro but want to know that....Mobile Web Dynpro is an oline approach, does it mean that user will be able to drill down from the Bex query??

Rather than attempting to find those files, I suggest you lock the Shared Object folder. This precludes any Flash cookie info from being written to your HD.
To do so, go to the Finder and navigate to the Macromedia folder - Your User Account>Library>Preferences folder. Continue drilling down to the Shared Objects folder. Now, simply move to the trash the contents of the Shared Objects folder. Once the folder is empty, click on the Shared Objects folder, Command/I to open its Info panel and click on the Locked option, then close the panel.
From here on out, no information will be written to that file. I did this awhile ago and have not had any adverse effect from locking the folder.

Interactive Maps on mobile devices

We have a client who has needs a plotted map which has to be interactive (data points with drill down).
The client needs this functionality on desktop as well as mobile devices (iphone, ipad, android, blackberry)
I have done a poc for the desktop with dvt:geographic map and saw that it caters for the interactivity, but this isn't available on ADF mobile (which is our preferred approach for mobile interface)
Currently I am investigating options to bring map interactivity on the mobile devices without having to go down the route of native mobile applications.
I was thinking that calling the Mapviewer API directly might resolve our issue. Is this a feasible approach? Looking at my requirement, could you suggest a good path to solution?

TOC not showing up on mobile devices after generating Multiscreen HTML5 output?

I'm using a trial version of RoboHelp 10. I created a project and used the screen profile: Android_Galaxy_Tab and the Screen Layout" Android_Tablet_Layout and generated HTML5 output from that. I navigate to the folder on my computer and click index.htm and it shows up in Chrome browser fine, but I upload (via FTP) the exact files to my web server and navigate to the web files and the TOC doesn't show up. As well as on mobile devices. The web files are here www.superdesigngirl.com/android_galaxy_tab/index.htm. Do I need to publish the files to the web via RoboHelp? Is this a known issue? Am I setting something wrong? Please help. Katherine.

Observations:
When your site is uploaded to our server, and we access it with our mobile devices, we experience the same issue with the TOC refreshing instead of drilling down. The same sort of thing happens when we access your index - regardless of which topic we try to display, clicking on any link simply refreshes the index. We didn't have this problem with our own index. I wonder what's different?
When we access your site, directly via our iPad, it works perfectly. However, when we access your site via my Windows Phone (Nokia Lumia 920 running Phone 8) I experience the same problem of your TOC refreshing like ours does. Also, your index doesn't work on that phone, whereas ours does.
I should probably add that what I uploaded to our server was everything in the \empcareus\EmployeeCareUS\EmployeeCareUS_Project\!SSL!\Multiscreen_HTML5 directory to our testing server at ****.com.au/onlinehelpdemo/mobile/emp
Was that the right thing to do?
I've also thought this might be a permissions issue, but setting all file/folder permissions to 777 hasn't made a difference.

UPDATE: I took our files home and uploaded them to my own web server. They work perfectly on my Windows phone and iPad. Something's wrong at the work server end, I guess. Any ideas?

You can get to the MetaClasses.plist either by using the terminal, or in the Finder when you get to PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin you will have to do a cntrl-click and "show package contents" to drill down to the MetaClasses.plist, which you can open and editor (I used TextWrangler).
I did a speed test in the Dallas area (http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?java=1) and got 327 kb/s down, 97 kb/s up. Not too bad for a phone connection.

Webi Report : Drill Functionality not working properly

I am working on Webintelligence Rich Client XI 3.1 FP 3.5.
I have created a hierarchy Country -> Region -> Location -> Customer and Sales Amount in my universe. I exported it to CMC and Created a Webi Report. I selected Country and Sales Amount only into the output screen and clicked on DRILL button in Webi Report and it showed me a line below Country which represents the drilldown is ON now.
When i clicked on Country, it drills to Region and when i select any region, it drills to location and then to customer. The objects which is drilled that we can see in the Report filter (in the toolbar). Now, if i want to change Country or Region or Location directly (rather then click on Up, Up and Up). So, i clicked on the objects available in the report filter (in the toolbar), it doesn't show me the other contries or Region or Location while i see the same functionality in the standard Webi report (Formatted Report for Drill) given by SAP. If i drill any dimension then it comes in the Report Filter tool bar then i can see all the values for that dimension in the Report Filter and i can change it any time.
What is the difference in that filters ? Do i have to make any settings ?

Then using this document link in our website ,which is used on Mobiles.
The problem here is - I cannot drill up on an hierarchy using on mobile without right click.Is there any way to do do this?

Error creating iPad mobile reports

I have a question specifically on creating mobile reports. I have searched as many places as I could find for this answer and have found nothing except ipad connection and mobile usage instructions. I must confess upfront that I am new to working with this system.
Background:
We have successfully connected to the iPad and I can see and download my reports. Per the instructions, the reports are in the Mobile category and show up correctly in the iPad app. I can open the reports, but that is where the issue starts. The server setup is BusinessObjects XI 3.1 SP4 and BusinessObjects Mobile SP4.
My understanding is that these reports are basic Web Intelligence reports that are sized for the iPad's screen. I am using InfoView to create these WebI reports through the browser-based Java GUI -- as the instructions suggest. The instructions suggest many design best-practices and suggest that pie charts and bar charts are available.
Problem
I have created the most basic report that contains only a table and a pie chart (I tried the bar chart too). When viewing this on the iPad, the table shows up formatted nicely but the pie chart has an error message in its place that says "This content is not supported".
i have taken the "Features Sample" report called "Formatted Report for Drill" and copied into the mobile folder. I appears on the iPad with tables shown nicely and all graphs replaced with the same "This content is not supported" error.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

which describes many unsupported features and partially explains the issues I'm seeing.
On some reports I can switch to simpler graphs (basic 2D pie, etc) and the graph will work on the iPad. But there are others where I cannot get any graph to work. I'm still working on that...

as Siva already mentioned - just to add the screen - if you enter service.sap.com/swdc and drill down to download the EHP support package for mobile, you get the following warning right at the top:
Important Note:
SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 contains changes mainly targeted for use by the mobile applications SAP Mobile Defense & Security 1.6 and SAP Mobile Direct Store Delivery 4.0. Therefore SAP recommends to install SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 only if you want to use one of the corresponding applications SAP Mobile Defense & Security 1.6 or SAP Mobile Direct Store Delivery 4.0.
Due to that, you should go with usual MI7.1 stack.

LG Extravert - Verizon Mobile Email - Google Calendar - All Day Events showing on wrong day

I have an LG Extravert. I installed and setup the Verizon Mobile Email application. I added my gmail account. I successfully pulls in my gmail calendar - BUT any of the events that as "All Day" events in google end up displaying on the wrong day on the LG Extravert. If I drill into the event on the phone - it displays start and end times for the event. Why does it do anything with time for an all day event? and if it does (for some reason) still use times - why are the times off? The timezone setup on my phone and google accounts all match.
Please Advise...

I am using the features of the Mobile Email application... I couldn't find a way with the Extravert to integrate directly with the calendar application.
If a create an all day event on the phone... it looks ok in google... but when the phone alerts me of the event... it says the Start Time is 1:00 AM. It seems like the Mobile Email Applications calendaring is not able to correctly handle All Day events.

Fire drill or other emergency issues on call centres

Hello, we've had several fire drills recently in our new building where we've had to evacuate all personell which left the phone lines open and un-staffed, so all calls coming in would either be sent to agents (if they didn't remember to log off their CAD programs before leaving) or be played some sort of High Call Volume prompt, depending on the script.
What we're looking to have is some sort of file or even steps that a manager/supervisor can quickly do to re-route all their lines to play a specific pre-recorded prompt so that callers calling in during this fire drill can hear an appropriate emergency message and be asked to call back later, or leave a message for example.
We've seen examples where we can set up an XML file similar to the Holiday.xml file that stores holiday dates and the manager/supervisor can quickly add a date to that XML file and the scripts that make reference to it will automatically play an emergency prompt. But, are there any other simpler methods to get this accomplished?
In order to have this XML file work, we have to give admin access to the IPCC server to the various managers and supervisors, and don't want to do this since this would give them access to the entire IPCC system, and they can accidentally move files around and cause issues.
Any suggestions out there?

Hi Joe -
There really shouldn't be a need to have that level of staff actually modifying the XML files. For static dates like Holidays or even short-notice (1 week or so) additions, the system admin should take the requests and make the XML file changes.
For dynamic changes, like the emergency evacuation (fire drill, bomb threat, etc.), the method needs to be "quick and easy". I usually recommend the allocation of a DID number (so that the process can take place via mobile phone while the supervisor is evacuating the building if needed) which triggers an Application in IPCC. The application can be protected with a configured PIN number or even use the built-in LDAP validation to allow certain users access. This application would itself modify the XML file to indicate an emergency, and the normal routing scripts would check against these before ever sending a call to queue.
What you have are 2 XML files, one which is the active file and the other which is the template.
The active file might look like this:

So then the Application (after the caller verifies themselves) offers a menu of "emable" or "disable". Based on the selection, you pull up the template XML and perform a Keyword Translation (or Text Substitution for Keywords, depending on version) of keyword "status" with either "disable" or "enable" text.
Your routing scripts will simply perform a Create File Document, Create XML Document, Get XML Document Data with XPath of "/descendant::Emergency/child::Status" and take action based on the value returned.

Cannot retrieve business partners in SAP mobile iPad

Hello Colleagues,
since some days I'm not able to retrieve business partners in my SAP mobile App.
Neither in iPad nor in iPhone.
I tried it on 2 different test servers.
A couple of day's before I saw all the business partners.
The only change I did in the last days was executing the steps regarding the Java JRE that was recommended by SAP Note 1582526.
In the Message-Log I've found the following:
The SQL-Exception with the ErrorCode 242 points to a conversion error from the given Date-String to a DateTime Value.
The Date-String is automatically inserted by the (whatever) system, it is the current date.
Is there a possibility to change the DateTime Format so the query can pass thru and I can see the business-partners?

Problem solved
After setting the language of the sql server "sa" from german to english, everything works fine.
I don't know why this problem occurred. I never changed the language before...

I designed a site for a customer, exported HTML, customer wanted to launch the site themselves so when they did so it will not work on a mobile device or tablet but is fine on the PC browser.

The customer is using AT&T as the host, it seems to automatically map to the a mobile site when on a phone or tablet, could the mapping to a tablet site be on AT&T's end?
I never setup the tablet or mobile site through Muse.

As you don't include a link or other copy of your code there is no way we can answer this… however:
Upload a copy of the site to bc (business catalyst) from Muse or Dreamweaver (if Muse can't) as a temp web site then test that the code works for laptop and phones. If it works on your bc site then your code IS correct and you have answered the main question as yes AT&T is the issue… this is basic testing and you (seriously) already should have done it before letting your client see it.
