Drill using SDK in BO6.5

HI,
i m able to view the report and handle prompts using webIntellingence SDK (using WIBEAN) now i have to drill the report using SDK in Business objects 6.5,
The format of the report is .rep( Revenue.rep).
can i use this report for drilling using SDK?or
are only .wid reports used for drilling purpose?
if i m using rep format then we should have thin client to perform drill operation if i m right.
now i want to drill the report using SDK,is this possible for .rep or any other format?

Hi Vinod,
Drilling should be possible with full client documents as well as WebI documents.
Unfortunately, I do not have a sample to share with you.
However, you can refer the to XI R2 documentation for implementing Drilling:

Please remember that this documentation is for XI R2 and not BO 6.5.
The most notable difference is that in BO 6.5, the full client document object uses the WIDocument from the WIBEAN SDK.
However, the concept and most of the method calls are similar (if not the same).

I wanna to parse the document in WebIntelligence using sdk. My question is :
1) By which sdk, I can parse the document. 'Report Application Server SDK' ?
2) I wanna to parse the 'Self-Defined SQL' and 'Query' components of the document. Can the sdk support this request ?

1) By which sdk, I can parse the document. 'Report Application Server SDK' ?
'Report Application Server SDK' is For Crystal reports so for WebIntelligence or DesktopIntelligence Report it is "Report Engine SDK".
Apart from this if you want to do more on these reports "BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK" can be used.

For question 2,
I am not sure about it but Report Engine SDK provides classes and interface of Data Providers.
i.e. Building and Editing Data Providers and Working with Recordsets.

Getting error "This file was removed" when trying to use sdk/test/httpd.

Hi, I wish to test my website using httpd.js. Now when I am trying create a add-on and use sdk/test/httpd by adding following line

I am getting following error:

How use SDK to insert text in indesign using c++

I want to use Indesign CS5.5 SDK in my c++ project first to create Indesign Document then insert text in textframe.
How include SDK in my project ?
Is it right method to create indesign Application using SDK.

I have already included SDK path in VisualStudio2008 ->Tools->Option->ProjectSolutions->vc++Directories

This is not correct in C# you have type cast all the object to another Object and then only we can access it in required format

Data mapping to SAP B1 using SDK

is there any way around to do the data mapping from other system database to SAP B1
database without using field to field mapping?
ex: we want to migrate from other system to B1 we need to transfer their old data to a new one..and of course the database structure is not the same..and it would be a lot of task if we migrate their old PO to B1 (i'm thinking using field to field mapping so we must know the data structure from the old system and provide the information needed when we want migrate it to B1)
is there any thoughts?

Hi Erick,
I think, using DI API should be better.
I know that, all data in the database is not supported.
But, most simple idea is,
1. Get objects from old company database
2. review the data by SDK (validating and user field mapping)
3. add modified objects to new company database
This should be most same, and you can process many process automatically in process 2.

You need to develop a (eventually small) application (= Add-On) which uses the SDK to do what you need it to do + is packaged and installed like e.g. any SAP Add-On.
It should then just watch out for the "right" events which are propagated from the SAP Business One application through UI API (an interface in the SDK) to "interested" Add-On(s)...

what is the returncode from inv.add?
If you call comp.getLastErrorDescription, you get the errordescription
you should also set handwritten to true

How to edit 'uses-sdk' element in manifest settings

Hi,
I created an Android App that works perfectly on my HTC Inspire. It's just three buttons that link to web pages, a browser loads, very basic. I got it to install on 3 android devices, but it doesn't install on a Galaxy Tab and another unknown android device. Those devices get a Parse Error.
So I searched around and I found this possible solution from a few days ago:

After hours of search, i found a little answer, actually it has every thing to do with the manifest, i changed the minSdkVersion="8" to minSdkVersion="7", and it worek on the first samsung mobile that i found, i have to check with other mobiles, but i think that is the solution!
I decided that I better figure out how to edit the Manifest, only to find that:
I found this bit of unsettling information in the Community Help files:
uses-sdk elementI see there is a checkbox to 'Manually manage premissions and manifest additions in the application descriptor file.' But i'm not sure if I can just add the line
You cannot include a uses-sdk element.

Any work arounds?

In an ordinary PDF there is nothing to identify, the information does not exist. Just text at locations, the structure is entirely in the mind of the viewer. For tagged PDFs, yes. This requires a very detailed knowledge of the PDF spec and tagging, and writing a plug-in in C/C++. And of course it requires that the tagging is correct. Since tagging is often added automatically, it is often useless for real structural info. Who thought it was a good idea to tag automatically...!

Apps that use SDK

I'm thinking of buying an iPod Touch and have a few questions.
A few years ago SDK showed a lot of promise for WiFi only devices. Do almost all apps that use location use SDK today?
Is there an app that lets one use the iPod as a navigator (like a Garmin NUVI) using SDK?

SDK is Software Developer Kit. The iOS SDK shows/developers how to uses stock features/libraries in order to develop apps. It is not confined to location. See:

There are apps that allow using the iPod for navigation. However, since the iPod relies on the location of nearby wifi router that the iPod can see/show in Settings>Wifi, it is not useful unless you are near wifi routers.
